Ehhh I'll bite.

My best relationship was long term, and despite how absolutely homosexual I am, it was surprisingly with a man.

He pretended to be a girl online (for his own personal reasons) and I was one of the only people who knew otherwise and that was because we were dating.

He was lovely. More 'soft' and perhaps effeminate than I am. (though I hate gendering personality traits) Which is part of why I was so attracted to him.

Honestly he was such a sweet and kind hearted dude. Very affectionate and loving, almost too much so.

Eventually what broke us up was a simple understanding of mine, coming to the realization I needed more intimacy than he could reasonably provide. Especially given his inability to understand why I might want to be desired as a woman rather than just seen as 'cute'.

If it's any consolation, my sister and I have had this problem before ourselves. My sister usually likes to let it go and I usually like to tell them. It's worked for either of us, so I think it depends on the type of person you are. If you want my advice, you should try to figure out your own feelings and then try to scope out a little bit. Make sure your crushes don't already have a love interest and that you align with their sexuality. If you're feeling daring enough, maybe shoot a few hints their way or ask indirect questions pertaining to you without becoming creepy.
