As for Krupps, that's fine to keep it vague, the company is pretty ancient being set up by royalty or some such back in the 16th century if memory serves well. Though back then i think it was just a metal industry.

As for weight to armour. I still want it to be a bit weighty to really push home this mech is an old model but a reliable one. Like the universes version of a AK47, it can be bashed to bit and still keep going. I had some plans that, in the future of the role play and thus not solid yet, the son may show up in the latest model and opposing company. Still up in the air on that though.

Reading some of the specs of the other mech pilots, what sort of combat are we seeing here? I was picturing a sort of full metal panic theme, but some of the designs seem to be a bit off from that style. Any video links to the idea of fighting your looking for? Doesn't have to be exact, just a example of what your after.

As for the feel, I guess I was imagining something between Code Geass and Hawken. They are kind of disparate I know, but I like to imagine of working from something more than Hawken to something more like Code Geass, but I want to try an incorporate other people's ideas of the fantasy so if they don't want their character and mech to develop in that direction I want to try and make that happen. Within reason. No super robots though. Gotta cut it off somewhere.

Notably different from that to my vision is that jump jets would be more burst of movement than consistent speed boos/flyingish thing that the game also let's you do and no mid fight healing robots. I'm sure there's something else that I don't want, but whatever.

As for Code Geass finding stuff of the low level mechs fighting is harder than I thought so I'm just going to hope you're somewhat familiar with that already. That show definitely portrays mechs as more dextrous than I'd like and I'm not terribly interested in the slash harkens as a concept, but given enough time and development that is the path a lot of npc mechs will end up taking.

Again I want to incorporate other people's fantasies so feel free to develop in a different way or tell me that my ideas are shit and I should reign it in. Assuming enough people tell me the second one it'll actually work.

Now if you've seen GreenGoat's character then you may notice that its control system would make it a lot more dexterous than I'd like, but I'm allowing it as it's its only special thing and it's an experimental mech. If you have specific concerns I am willing to listen. We have time to change things.

Perception wise, it's an old got of a machine, but unlike many models it can take a hit and get back up, it just hasn't got the best weapon systems for countering other MECH suits. It's able to go a good speeds not super fast but good. The Perk it has more than others is the pack animal design. It works well in groups for flanking opponents.

Not sure if the link will work, this tablet isnt great for this kind of thing. But if you get a chance to see the older design booting up in episode 5 or 6 that's generally what the Jaeger is meant to he like. Solid and reliable if not a little old school.

The MECH the the bows styled on gundum just seemed a bit odd to me. It's not my MECH so I won't stop the idea, I just work on story boarding rule that the more real a story feels, the more ridiculous is can get. So lasers, aliens from Venus and such, can work but something real has to be there to back it up. A bit like your monthian reactors. They're sci fi, but they aren't ridiculous to a point of magic God powers. One of the things that drew me to your rp actually lol.

As for my own style of scene. I'm a fan of FMP and games like gears and halo. So I like real with a slice of crazy science. Que the evil laugh, MWAHAHAHAA!!

Watched a bit of the fighting in FMP episode 5. It seems that mechs in that have a very full range of motion since even the lumbering looking savage is capable of performing a forward roll and then there's that other mech that can do flips and shit. I don't think those are things mechs should be able to do. Kinda conflicts with how weighty they should be. At least that's my opinion, though one I'll be enforcing. That and they take one hit and either loose limbs or get blown open which is way weaker than I want. Aesthetically they are quite fine and I may steal the savage for something in this rp.

The Magical Girl Styled Robot is admittedly odd even for this tournament, but this will be as much an advertising event as anything else so you'd better believe that there will be some weird designs scattered throughout in the name of getting attention. You don't need to win to sell more of your stuff =P.

Ah I wasn't thinking the back flips and such, just the general way they're used in military roles and the seating for the pilots. Also a personal fan of the name "arm slave" over MECH too. Just sounds cool, but that's off topic. Don't worry it won't be doing back flips because I agree that's over the top. More the running and using any thrusters for quick stabilizing turns and such. Even then it's limited. Ironically I see a more titanfall theme of combat but with less "falling" and more terminator Esq style hunting down in a cold, calm walk. One of those things that I suppose is a little difficult to put into a proper description. In short, no back flips.

And that I can understand. I will need until sometime tomorrow to make the edits to my cs but they will get done.

Seed was alright, I haven't seen Orphans, and G Gundam is one of the manliest, ridiculous at times, hilarious and honestly great Gundams of the whole series. My favorite is still 08th MS Team however, but G Gundam is right up there.

Combat Helmet (Protect the pilot's head and neck from injury and provide a detailed HUD with Aim assist systems, vision systems Infrared+low light, and radar systems)
Rebreather (ensures safe supply of air for up to 2 hours in the event of toxic fumes or smoke)

Abilities: Well trained in heavy assault tactics and medium-short range combat, utilizing sustained bombardment of gunfire and missiles to pummel his target into submission.

Personality: Nicolai is an aggressive tank of a man, happy in the thick of mech combat or in a bar room brawl. He is rowdy and will stir up trouble whenever he can, but he is most at home in the Atlas mech suit, shrugging off damage and savaging the enemy with bullets.

History: Nicolai was a junior mech pilot working security for the Nexus corp. He joined fresh out of school and patrolled R&D hangars at the Nexus corp HQ to ensure that they where not attacked or sabotaged. The work was well paying but quite dull, he decided to have a change in career and joined the Kell Hounds Mercenary group. A tiny corporation by comparison, but they managed to farm out security and the occasional black ops assault jobs. The Kell Hounds quickly earned a name for themselves both in the combat games and in the field and Nicolai also earned his stripes with them.

While the Hounds where still a small corp they where rapidly expanding as one of the go-to security company if a corporation couldn't afford their own security Mechs, pilots, and training. Nicolai earned an accommodation while protecting some small corporation, the warehouse was attacked by a pair of light black op mechs, the lightly armed and armored mechs where not prepared for the Atlas and where quickly dispatched. This event earned Nicolai a promotion as well, making him the Kell Hound's pilot in the arena. A veteran of combat missions, but a fresh face in the arena.

Atlas

Appearance:

Height: 18ft
Weight: ~30 tons fully loaded

History and Development: The Atlas MK-IV was designed by the Kell Hounds Mercenary Corp specifically to run guard and assault operations, the Kell Hounds primary role. The Atlas does not have terribly impressive firepower but can survive combat that would leave most mechs in a heap of flaming wreckage. The idea began as a simple heavy mech with everything except a gun stripped down to make room for armor. As the armor evolved the Mech was scaled up and built bigger and tougher. the MK-IV was the final iteration of the mech, reaching an elegant simplicity that worked well in all situations. With the development of an extremely durable alloy it made an excellent front line battle mech that could protect the more vulerable artillery from everything but the most serious assaults. The Atlas for the arena was also equiped with several minor enhancements such as speed boosters, UAV, and higher yield missiles.

Weapons and Equipment:
MRM 5 rocket pod x2 - Medium range missiles with lock on, fires 5 High yield missiles per salvo (10 salvo capacity)
Rotary cannons x2 - Large caliber belt fed guns with high rate of fire and armor piercing ammo.
Endo-Steel Armor - the Atlas is extremely heavily armored with a special alloy developed for this mech, it is capable of surviving severe bombardments of damage.
Radar
Short fire boosters - thrusters that give the heavy mech some limited mobility
UAV assist - Launces a small UAV with radar and thermal imaging to aid the pilot in situational awareness

The character seems fine. I will direct you to my extended conversation with Cayden about fighting other corporations. You didn't mention it, but so long as you know that it is an all, but off limits backstory we're good.

As for the Atlas... While I certainly won't make you remove armor piercing rounds from it, I should let you know that that would be par for the course in mech v. mech combat. I guess then I am curious how effective you envision your guns, rockets and boosters being?
