Savannah pulled Tom's arm over her shoulder to help him be able to get out the door and head down the back lawn. "We can't too many eyes will see it. If we go their we will need a new place." She said to him softly so only they could here. "Frankly I know a few new places that would be better suited for what we need." She said thinking about her scouting days before the attack. "But if you need medical assistance that's the closest place with all our gear."

It would only be right to plot something against them since they were the reason the White House Group lost the White House in the first place. But right now they were out and the Birds seemed to have their hands full. "Well since this day has been ruined no thanks to you all, I'm going to take my leave." She looks around for any remaining guards to escort her to the capitol building.

James was walking backwards still accompanying Tom and making sure that he was doing okay.He didn't care much if the girl left all he cared about was the well being of his own men.

Savannah knew that he was right. "Leave the white house with an extra SAT Phone." She said as she grabbed an extra off her side. "If you do not call us in 24 hours....you wont be able to stop us next time." She said to her with a very stern voice. "Infected will be the least of your problems." She headed faster to the car to get him some help. "We can make it, just keep moving." She said to try to encourage him.

Tom groaned and fell. "Get the car and drive it over here." He pulled the keys from his leather jacket, sat up, and gave them to Savannah. "Walking seems to be a troublesome activity for me. But seriously, I'm fucked up." He pulled out his gun. "I can hold off infected." He put his back against the skyscraper next to the parking garage's wall and felt his left eye gingerly. He winced, and added a new layer of bandages, over his mashed-to-a-pulp eye. "Fuck. Fuck."

James was nodding although perhaps not towards his comrade's comment."Let us hurry out of here" He said now helping Savannah with Tom and heading out the car. He sure hoped they would not be taken out by any of the stuck up kids or zombies, Firing at a horde of incoming infected hoping to shoot one of them down.

Savannah ran as fast as she could to the truck. She pushed off a couple of infected but did not stop. She got in and started the truck as fast as she could. She headed right next to the group in front of them to hold off the infected. "Get in quick... We don't have much time everyone!" She said as she shot a few zombies getting closer through the drivers side window. She knew that the Smithsonian people would be able to help. They would need their leader if they were going to survive this.

Eliza took the phone from Savannah and ushered her remaining guards to escort her. "With your boyfriend like that I don't think we have much to be afraid of, but don't worry I'll give you a call." Eliza secretly hoped that Tom would die, but that might just make the Birds uncontrollable with grief and rage and take it out on the White House Group. She gripped the phone and ordered the guards to take the documents in her bag to the Capitol Building. She turns around and follows them to the car.
"The Smithsonian Group won't help him without something in exchange. You'll need someone good at negotiating to help you and I...decided to do that. On account that you don't bother the WHG with your silly shenanigans." Eliza looked back to see the group of guards already disappear, she sighed sadden at her only chance to escape. But in the long run this was for the good of the WHG, she might even learn a little more about the Birds on the way.

Savannah heard the WHG girl get into the truck with them. "Fine suit yourself but not all your goons can fit in with our group." She said still trying to keep the infected off the car. "Seriously though guys we got to get moving." She said as she saw more of them headed up from the house. "We have about 60 seconds max before we can get overrun." She said frantically.

"Fuck your people i am more worried about our people" James breathed softly loud enough for Eliza to hear and pointing his shotgun at her for a moment."Your right Savannah..we need to get out of here" The burnt teen was now moving slowly towards the driver's side of the truck and was now looking for the key asking Savannah where it was.

Eliza jumped when a shotgun was pointed at her and immediately threw her hands in the air. "Calm the fuck down would you? I'm on your side." She gritted her teeth while settling down in the car seat. The more time she spent with these people the more she began to think being torn apart by the infected wouldn't be so bad. "The Smithsonian group is able to help out your leader here but they're more stingy than us when it comes to helping people. They don't expect to fix up Tom here for free you know. After all, there's no such thing as charities in this world anymore." Eliza grimaced at her past life when she help run charities in her community. She hated to leave that past behind, and her past self. But like everyone else, this world has changed her, no one survives by being soft.

Tom laughed softly. "The leader fucking owes me big. She's still working on her debt." He grinned, then stepped into the car, wobbling precariously. "After all, I killed for her. Alright...let's go." He held his M4 clutched to his chest, fading out of consciousness. "Drive, please." He then shut his eye and promptly fell asleep.

Savannah drove off heading towards the musuem as fast as she could with out driving too quickly. She only learned how to drive from watching her parents so she did not want to take too many risks. "Don't let him sleep for two long. He may have a concussion." She said looking back to see Tom starting to fall asleep.

If Eliza knew Tom had favors owed with the SG she wouldn't have come along but it was a little too late to go back when they sped off. She felt a slight weight fall on her shoulder and looked down to see Tom asleep and his head accidentally resting on her shoulder. "Ugh, you all smell by the way. Ever heard of a shower?" She didn't bother pushing him off of her since Savannah mentioned a concussion. Instead, she looked out the window watching the scene outside.

James nodded and made sure that Tom would not fall into a coma or die not on his watch. But also he was watching the girl name Eliza because he did not trust her or her kind."We can't all be bathing in fancy soap water....in our ivory baths" He said looking up at her with a scold on his face thinking back to himself bathing in water and home made soap which he makes himself.

Savannah let out a deep sigh when Eliza made a comment about body odor. "Its not like running water is a common thing anymore. Your lucky because the White House has backup systems where you can have power and water when ever you want." She said as she kept heading there as fast as she could. She did not want anything to happen to her team after all. "We are almost there Tom, you better stay with me man." She said in a stern tone to try to hide her fear.

Tom was lost in the dreamworld. As he explored what seemed to be a forest, he felt something bite down hard on his wrist. "Crap!" He looked down. A grown-up looked back, smiling even as he bit Tom's hand. Soon, his hand started to rot, and it spread, until a mirror appeared. Tom looked. He saw a grown-up in his reflection.

Tom woke up with a start. He was in a clean room, hooked up to an IV and in a nice cotton button-up and black slacks. He had a fresh bandage wrapped around his head and left eye. He even smelled nice. A girl who looked to be 14 turned around. "You're awake." Tom nodded slowly. "Hey, cuz." His voice came out weird, like it hadn't been used in years. "So, where are my friends?"

Savannah waited across the room for Tom to wake back up. When she heard him move around she looked up from a book she was reading. "Damn man you can't go and give us a scare like that." She said standing up and stretching her back. "I was worried for a while that I didn't drive fast enough to get here." She said with a sigh. Thank god...I couldn't live with myself if something happened to her friends. Especially in a world where having more people to help watch your back is the only way to survive.
