Joy Hirasawa And Elrend Viridian

Joy had to take it in for a moment that her wish had actually been granted by the god she had met, so that must have also meant she did go to another world like what was said to her. Joy gazed towards herself in awe and slowly started touching her tail. It felt soft and long and even felt somewhat painful to even lightly tuck on it. The hairs on her tail were almost moving at their own according to her feelings. As she was tucking a little the hairs stood somewhat more upright and as soon as the pain left her body the hairs calmed down again. Joy slowly let her fingers slid to her ears to feel the new parts that had been added to her body. They looked the same as her fake cat ears only more real. She slowly moved her fingers past them and felt the skin that was her ears. She really liked them it only was a little weird to experience something like this. Joy silently kept gazing at the water totally taken in by the moment that she hadn't even noticed that a man had walked up to her and called her cute. When she suddenly felt the hands beneath her armpits she almost screeched out of terror. Her ears immediately laid flat against her head as her hands started covering them from the sudden weird feeling.

"W-what i-is it!"

Her tail hairs stood upright as she was shivering herself. What was this creepy man doing to her. She suddenly felt the sudden urge to defend herself and so her instincts kicked in. Two sudden kicks to the face of the man likely did the job to let go of her. Her legs kicked off from his body likely launching him backwards onto his but as Joy made a small backflip and landed on her feet again. She squated down and moved a bit away from him as she turned her body slightly away from him like a scaredy cat.

"K-keep away from m-me weirdo!"

"Adorab-"

The words were lost as the girl planted both feet into his face, more specifically the long beaked mask he wore, and tried to not drop the girl out of fear of her getting hurt from a fall but that decision wasn't his choice anymore. Both legs used him like a springboard to launch herself into a graceful flip through the air, an acrobatic move any street performer would be jealous of, but all Elrend got to see was the sky as his back hit the ground.
For many moments he laid upon the ground in disbelief as he slowly processed the information.
Elrend was back on his feet in a slow unthreatening pace, gently dusting his cloths off before rearranging his mask back to a proper fit.

Again he stared at the girl while he tilted his head to the side, examining her from head to toe, judging her in every way he could. There was a few immediate things that caught his attention about the interaction.
One; the girl was surprised by her own appearance so obviously not a native born that way.
two; her puffy tail was sticking straight up like an alley cat about to brawl.
three; She packed a wallop in that tiny frame!

"That's a pot calling the kettle black.. Pussycat gonna call me weird?" his hand came up to stroke the bottom of his mask in contemplation. Blowing a light sigh he shrugged his shoulders and continued. "Didn't mean to frighten ya, little lady. Not everyday you see a cute girl with cat parts. Got any family around here I can escort you back to?"

He meant every word sincerely.

The man was ogling over her. It was a strange thing that when Joy finally comes outside for once, weird men approach her, pick her up and telling her how cute she is. Too be honest she didn't even mind the fact that she was called adorable and cute and all but it was a tad weird for someone to touch you out of nowhere. On stream they could only watch you play games, it was impossible for them to reach out for you, you could do what you wanted.

Once the man kept his distance Joy shyly dropped her hands past her side and straightened her back, her tail had already lowered and was silently wandering around behind her back. Her head was still tilted to the ground out of embarrassment as she softly glared at him.

The man was wearing some sort of creepy crow mask and didn't seem your everyday salaryman, he spoke up at her and actually found it a bit offending for her to call him stuff like that.

"Oh um I-I'm sorry I guess..."

Joy turned her head away from him with an apologetic look on her face. Was she really being mean to another person now? Well she did kick him full on in the face so she guessed she should feel a little sorry at least. The man gave a short sigh and continued on. After all this he seemed to be pretty nice actually, he apologised to her and even called her cute. Joy fanned her hand at him as she placed her other hand on her cheek to hide her blush.

"Aww stop it you! I'm not that cute."

Her personality had taken a drastic turn all off the sudden. Her shyness and scariness had melted like the sun.

"I dunno how I got here though, it was rather sudden in my head."

Joy tilted her head to the side and placed her index finger to the side of her head with a questioning expression on her own question. It was all a little confusing to her to what has been happening in the past few minutes so she better get some help soon.

"You don't know.. how.. you got here?"

Emphasizing the word 'here' by gesturing to the sprawling town behind him overgrown with trees and shrubs, bustling with adventurers and business ventures, a gem stuck in an unfortunately drab world. This was perhaps not the most well known of landmarks among the worlds iconic roadside destinations but it was still a rarity to see and so was marked with interest. Not that Elrend had any pride to put here as this was never his home, never would likely be his home, but instead was treated like a stop on his global travel.
Until he did find home again.

The girls tail kept flicking from left to right and his eyes were drawn to it, like moth to flame, his attention was always focused on things that were worth money; Shiny objects, magic items, heavy purses, and cute animals. That last one only because of his time out of civilized society, a fellow walker of the world who had taught him survival and many other useful tricks.
Snapping out of his hypnotic and momentary trance, he turned his attention back to the catgirls face.

"Doesn't matter."

Elrend moved to the side and sat on the wall of the bridge, chin in his hand and the other on his elbow with both legs crossed casually infront of him. With his dark clothing and stance, he looked very much like a crow waiting for a piece of bread or corn. His mind was occupied with what to do with the girl. If he should do anything at all, really. As a street performer, he could use a showpiece like her to bring in a crowd curious about the oddity of her being and fawn over the girl. The coin they would make from that alone!
But could she perform? Tricks and tumbles through a hoop, juggling, feats of agility to woo a crowd.
Would she be willing?

"You got anywhere to go? Lost in a city you don't know, no food or coin I assume. Only a matter of time before something happens. Mmm." Thinking out loud now, he rambled off whatever came to mind that might cause her trouble. "She could be kidnapped and sold as a slave pet to some crotchety old royal, killed by wolves when she laid down to sleep in the alley, could have to get a job as a waitress at a local tavern and suffer the lustful stares and hearty handslaps to her tail region by its drunken patrons... Mm. None of those seem the right fit for you."

Elrend took a step off the ledge he had been sitting on and moved infront of the cat girl.

"Got a better idea. Travel with me instead. I'm a street performer of sorts wandering the globe, town to town, city to city, living free. Names Elrend Viridian," One hand extended to his side, the other crossed over his chest, he bowed politely to his hopefully new associate before offering his hand out to take. "Travel with me and together we shall see the sun and stars on a thousand different horizons. You need only tell me your name and take my hand. If not, I will see you somewhere safe."

Joy quietly shook her head from side to side looking rather interested in the man all of the sudden, she wondered if the man would be able to do something with this information, like lead her home or help her. In patience she waited for the man to give her answers but it didn't seem like he was really focused on that right now. He was looking at something else more towards the ground and not saying anything at all. Joy bend forward a bit till she was in line with his sight and tilted her head in concern. It seemed to have gotten him out of his trance as he moved himself towards the side of the bridge and sat down seeming to ponder about something. Joy moved herself more towards the middle of the bridge in front of the sitting crow. Her upper body was slightly tilted forward with both her hands behind her back. The people that were watching her for a while had started to move on with their life after seeing that she was acting more casually with her new traits. They didn't understand why she was so freaked out but she apparently was fine now so there was no reason to keep waiting.

Joy tilted her head as she listened to the man talking to her. If she had anywhere to go, well home was the obvious answer but she doubted she was any close to that so she refrained from telling him that answer. No food, she shook her head, no coin, her head jolted up with a somewhat nice smile on her face. She started digging through her hoodie but there was nothing in it, the smile on her face slowly disappeared becoming somewhat more terrified on what had happened with her stuff. Her money and cards were normally in that hoodie but she obviously forgot them on her desk or they had been stolen while she was asleep. She rummaged through the cotton shorts but it was obvious there was nothing in it. Her phone... Her phone was suppose to be in there. All her pockets were turned inside out now with a disappointed defeated face plastered on her head, her ears were drooped flat against her head.

"Eeeeehhh, my stuff is gone >.<"

The man continued with what appeared to be thoughts of him, COULD SHE MINDREAD NOW THAT SHE HAS BECOME A KITTY! KITSUNES HAD THESE POWERS! Wait she only had one tail... most kitsune didn't start off with only one tail... maybe she was a very weak one that is why she can't use her powers to her will probably. Kidnapped.. slave pet... wolves eating her... spanked by old geezers... WAAH THIS POWER IS TERRIBLE! Joy looked a little freaked out by what she had heard. She was speechless for but a moment as little tears formed in her eyes while the same expression stayed frozen on her face. Elrend had stepped up from his seat again stepping closer to her as she swiftly slapped both arms around his waist and started hanging onto him barely touching the street with her knees.

"NOOO I DON'T WANT THAAAT! BRING ME WITH YOU PLEAAASEE!"

Joy was crying in comedic manner begging the man to take the catgirl after hearing all those terrible things that could happen to her. The man had clearly told her she could come with him during the time she had winningly begged for him to take her. This man had been keeping nice to her from the beginning and he clearly liked her till now. Joy had her chin rested on his belly as she looked up at him with begging with sweet big cat eyes.

"I'll beat you for screwing with me!"

"What the hell is it with this line?" Julian asked upon reaching the guild. "I don't recall asking to visit an amusement park."

Either not realizing or ignoring the fact that his partner would likely not have a clue what one of those were due to not being from the same place he was, Julius complained loudly. Waiting was not exactly one of his strong points, and it seemed as though they would need to wait quite a while to even get into this place. What was even going on?

"Sign up here for the trial of the hero." a sign above the place read.

Well there was an unrealistic amount of people signing up for this thing. Where were they in his world? "Hero?" he scoffed, "Is that something you can just take trials for now?"

As he looked back down from the sign, the line significantly shortened, surprisingly so. "Huh. Well, I guess a hero should make quite a bit of money, doncha think?" he commented, putting his helmet back on.

Julius did not seem as out-of-place as he thought he would be, given he was wearing a full suit of armor. There were plenty people there, all wearing an assortment of outfits. Some wore clean, shiny armor unlike his. Others wore lighter apparel and he had to figure that those absurd hats served some purpose besides looking silly. On top of that, not everybody was entirely human. There appeared to be a few individuals that looked more animal than man. While he had never seen something like this back when he was but your everyday badass thug, he couldn't bring himself to be too surprised. That just wasn't his style.

...........

.......

...

"Name:
Occupation:
Why you take the challenge:
In 2 million words explain why you want to be the hero of Jaded Wilds?:"

"Oi. What the fuck is this?" he questioned, perhaps to the very world itself. He held the application in his hands and, like many other adventurers and so on, he was quite angry and confused at the piece of paper. Particularly the bottom part with the ridiculously long essay requirement. Julius stomped over to the man that gave them the application.

"Man, I wish I could read!"

"The hell ya trying to pull here, ya bastard!" Julius grabbed the man by his shirt and raised his armored fist threateningly. "Ya want me to write this thing with your blood, huh?!"

Without any intervention, Julius was obviously going to beat this man to a pulp. His goal of becoming a respectable human being was... perhaps a little ways away.

As Jasmyn looked over the sheet of paper handed to her, she considered ripping the paper to shreds. Instead she opted to simply not participate in the trial. She left Rex behind and approached the man to return the application form. Before she could however, a grumpy-looking blond man grabbed him by the shirt. Jasmyn let out a yelp before instinctively rushing over and grabbing the blond man's arm he was using to grab the other man's shirt. U-um, please don't-- Jasmyn mumbled, but as she heard her voice get lost in the din she practically yelled "Please don't fight! And if you do, take it outside!"

Once more she had done something without thinking. Her face flushed red in emberassment, what was with her today? Certain she had both men's attention, she said "This man-- Pointing at the man who had handed her the form --is just doing his job. You can't just go around beating people up because you aren't willing to write a two-million word essay." She away from the blond man and spoke to the man who'd handed out the forms "And on that same note, here's your form back. I'm grateful for the opportunity, but I don't think this'll be something for me.

"I'll beat you for screwing with me!"

"Hah?"

Julius, quite obviously irritated by the interruption to his interrogation, glared at the girl clad in armor who had grabbed his arm. He, of course, did not simply let go. He figured that this man had to have some responsibility for this absurd "application" and if he didn't, then he would know somebody who did.

Either way, he needed to get beat. Julius might go into withdrawals soon if he didn't beat somebody up.

"This man--" the armored girl said, pointing to the jerk that Julius was holding onto still, "--is just doing his job. You can't just go around beating people up because you aren't willing to write a two-million word essay."

"And who says I can't? You? Ha. Don't make me laugh." Julius turned his gaze from the armored girl back to the man, considering her to be of no threat whatsoever. This man did not act very enthusiastic about his job. In fact, he seemed like he didn't even want to bother handing these damned forms out, the lazy bastard. It would be doing this fantasy world a service if he knocked this guy's teeth down his throat! Or so Julius thought. "Besides... he isn't doing his damned job at all! Guy's acting like some big dumb prick about it, like he's better than everybody else. Losing his front teeth should serve as a good lesson in humility." Julius lifted the man up by the neck of his shirt and pulled his fist back, ignoring the girl's attempts at moving the conversation onward. Regrettably, unless the guy gave up a satisfactory answer, or somebody forced him to stop, he was unlikely to hold himself back.

Elrend Viridian

"NOOO I DON'T WANT THAAAT! BRING ME WITH YOU PLEAAASEE!"

The catgirl sank her face into his stomach as she hugged him with alarming desperation. Elrend glanced down to speak but lost the ability the very instant he saw the big round eyes staring up at him and felt both knees go weak as his hand shot up below his mask, promptly biting his knuckle lest this exquisite moment be lost forever.
SO CUTE!
It was too much for anyone, and Elrend already had a soft spot in his heart for fluffy kitties and gods above and below this one was adorable! Hooking his hands under her arms again he raised the girl up and onto her feet, taking her hand in his they shook. Taking a nervous step back and wiping off his clothes, more to keep idle hands where they should be rather than any real attempt to clean himself, he cleared his throat with a light cough.

"Mm. It's agreed then. You're in my care."

Another bow of respect between equals passed before he straightened, already lost in the machinations of the mind. Of course he had an awful habit of thinking out loud when he meant to keep them to himself.

"Mm. First things first we can't have a catgirl running around in booty shorts and a light shirt, poor thing would catch a cold or freeze to death! We'll have to stop by a tailor and fix that right up immediately. A quick stop by the leatherworkers nearby would let us get her some proper protection too, though thats her choice.."

Not realizing he was thinking out loud, Elrend turned on his heel and motioned with his hand for the girl to follow before making his way back into town proper.

"Weapons. Girl needs to fight to survive, so we'd best head to a blacksmith and get her something she can use.. Need to train her too. Acrobatics, tumbling, showmanship, fencing, cooking, foraging, basic survival skills. What about housing.."

That had him stuck mid-thought as he realized a new problem. Housing would indeed be a problem. Elrend was a vagabond, a wanderer of the world, and slept under the stars most every night. Why waste money on a bed in a cheap tavern when a tent would provide just as well? Turning an eye to the young girl following behind him, he realized that might prove hard to explain..
The tent wasn't exactly.. spacious.

"Ah well. Tent isn't big enough for two so she can have it. I've slept in the cold night before. I'll have to grab a thicker sleeping bag while we're out looking for things.."

By now, everyone in town they passed were staring with mixed faces. Some stared at Elrend and his signature mask with open hatred as they had all likely run into him at some point, and lost a wallet in the process, while others stared at the magnificent and exquisite creature following right beside him. Ignoring all of the idle looks, he glanced at the cat girl. One final series of questions left.

"Got a name? We're gonna be getting you some important stuff before the adventure begins and I don't think the shopkeepers would enjoy the idea of someone with my reputation referring to you as 'this cat I found'. Once we get to the stores you just point out what you want and we'll grab it. Oh, and the tent I use on my travels is yours now. Not big enough for two unless they're uh.." Another shy cough to clear his throat. "Comfortable in close quarters. But that is a problem for later! To the shops"

A familiar blacksmithing store came into view in the distance and Elrend turned sharp on his heel in an opposite direction.

"Every shop but that one!" He said nervously.

Aimee looked at the centaur called Yuji as she tried to talk down to Aimee about what being an inquisitor was all about. Aimee even rested her hand on her gun, getting quite tired of the monster girl’s self righteous attitude. "Pft..." But instead of flying off at the handle, Aimee just laughed. Hearing everything this Centaur had to say, Aimee felt foolish trying to argue with someone who obviously had brain problems. Letting her hand off her gun Aimee walked over to pat Yuji. "Oh ho ho ho ho... Aren't you just special. You know, you should attend service with me sometimes. I think you'll like church." In Aimee's mind, Yuji was a special type of ignorant. Not one who denies the existence or importance of something, but someone who claims to know so much or even everything about something, despite the obvious. Such people were stricken by madness and can't be reasoned with. But it's those same people that Aimee was devoted to helping. It was unfortunate that Yuji hadn't quite understood her predicament, but Aimee would make sure she learns. Gently.

Eventually as the line grew and shrank, the trial of heroes began. Or rather, the application process did. Much paperwork was handed out to everyone attending and as Aimee took hers, she made sure to read over what needed to be filled out. It was pretty basic: name, occupation, motives, etc. Then came the last part. As an Inquisitor paperwork was as much a part of her business as hunting heretics and slaying demons. After all, the Inquisitors were allowed to do much of their work thanks to bureaucracy and law on their side, but that also meant playing by their rules. Records had to be kept and documents signed and approved. Sufficient to say, Aimee had signed millions of papers before. But never has she ever had to write a paper with a million words. Let alone two million.

Sure enough everyone noticed this and things were starting to get out of hand yet again. At first it was just questioning; fair enough. A short essay, perhaps a thousand words, Aimee could understand. No one wants a foolish hero after all. But two million? Aimee would need a team of scribes for at least a month to get all of that written down. Of course one foolish adventurer had to go and try to pick a fight with the old man handing out the papers, which is when Aimee wasn't going to simply back down with harsh words and threats. Folding the test paper into a fan, she ran up to the thug and smacked him in the back of the head. It wouldn't hurt, but hopefully it'd get his attention.

As she moved up to strike the goon, Aimee took her badge out. It held the holy symbol of her order, as well as served as the badge of her authority. Hers was made of silver and was meticulously polished. "Enough. This is the exact type of madness I was trying to prevent. Let this man go!" Aimee stood between the old man and the thug, even if she had to put her chest up against his. Their faces were very close, allowing Aimee to look directly into the man's eyes.

As Yaj was putting pen to paper Yuji came up to stop him. She said that This essay was far too long and Yaj needed to stop. But there was a slight problem... "... But I'm already done?" Sure enough as everyone else was freaking out over the absurdity of a two million worded essay, Yaj had completed this very task. All those sheets of papers he had were written with small, yet legible characters, front and back. He had the completed papers stacked up on top of each other like a book. He even had enough time to write a cover sheet and reference materials.

Yaj had written a two million word essay. In roughly ten minutes. Such was his astonishing penmenship.

Acting very smug about it, Yaj, carefully organized his stack of papers and took out some string to bind the sheets together. "Yer might be in fer a surprise, but I'm a great writer. Two million words ain't nuthin fer me. The rest of ya grots might be too gittish to getit done, but ain't nuthin to me. Nuthin at all!" Surely those libraries and offices will regret denying Yaj a job when they here of this heroic task being completed. Truly if anyone here is worthy of being Jaded Wild's hero, it was the Jade Orc himself. "Jade Orc... Yeah, dat sounds gud."

As he was contemplating his new title, Yaj saw some trouble brewing. Some tough guy was having problems with the old man and putting hands on him. That crazy inquisitor from before was up to stop him, but now she was flashing her badge. This was bad. Yaj needed to stop them before things got too crazy... Or maybe... It was time to take things up a notch. Putting his essay into his bag Yaj stood up and stretched a bit before looking at Yuji. "Watch dis." Yaj ran up to the two loudmouths and pushed the guy's head right towards Aimee's, ideally for an unintentional kiss. That ought to shut the two up. Besides, it was Aimee's fault for being so close to the guy. Yaj was now on standby to see how they'd react.

Joy Hirasawa

With a slight gasp she was pulled up again to stand on her own two feet. Joy confusingly looked at the man when he was still holding her hand giving it a light shake. He gave a short coff indicating he was rather nervous for the occasion for some reason. He then let her know that she would be in his care. Joy's face began to sparkle from happiness with a bright smile. Her sharp cat like canine were on full display during the time.

"Really!? Yaaay! A friend!"

Joy smiled at him for a bit longer as he began talking in himself, oh right her mindread powers were still in effect. Why were his lips moving? Must have come with her powers. Joy started concentrating on his words to not misuse her gifted power right now! Her expression became a tad more serious as he was talking about her booty shorts and shirt. Oh? It was pretty warm here though, she doubted that she would get cold right now and if it was night they would go to his warmed up home anyway. He finished his sentence off with thinking on how they needed to go to the leather shop too to get her some protection. Protection? She doubted it would be so bad with this man by her side, she wouldn't think others would try to get her if she stayed with this man. Joy still gave a serious nod with full conviction towards the crow man.

The man had gestured for her to follow him. Joy quickly catched up towards him and hobbled by his side while still giving him a mindful look as they strode along the pavement. His mouth went on.

Weapons... WAIT WHAT?! He didn't plan for her to fire a gun or something right? Wait she knew what he had planned! He must be an airsoft or paintball fanatic and wants her to participate! That is why she needs protection too! God she was smart. Joy gave another serious nod at him as they went on. Train her? acrobatics... tumbling... showmanship? Fencing? Cooking... Foraging? Basic survival... This wasn't your everyday airsoft it seemed jeez. Joy looked a little confused at him and nodded as she shrugged.

Tent... Joy her face crumpled in defeat... Tent... He wasn't serious right? She didn't want to live in a friking tent. She hates those things. Sleeping outside was cold and scary. Joy angrily shook her head as her tail poked upright. She was pouting at the man after giving a short yell at him.

"Yada! I'm not gonna sleep in that!"

Joy folded her arms as she stopped in her tracks. Joy was angrily glaring at him now.

"Tents are cold and scary, no way!"

After Elrend his reply he went on and asked for her name, her head shot up a little looking a little surprised she hadn't told him yet. He said it was essential to know instead of referring to her as cat or the likes.

"It's Joy and you?"

The man had told her to get anything she wanted and was talking about something with the two of them and close quarters? She didn't understand and instead decided to forget he said that.

The strode of towards the shop. Joy started following him but she was quick to stop as he almost instantly turned around. Joy tilted her head in confusion.

"Eeeeeh? Why not?"

Yuji groaned as she turned back to Aimee, she looked to the inquisitor who labeled her as special then told her to attend church. The centaur knight looked down on the human and let her pride for once do the speaking." I wouldn't attend a church that would allow a person such as yourself in it." She glanced down at Aimee's hand resting on her weapon." For one thing, you don't even have faith that I won't attack you." She mentioned.

Yuji looked back to Yaj, and oddly he completed the two million words section with ease, the centaur cocked an eyebrow at how he was able to complete an absurdly long essay while slightly inebriated if not outright drunk. While Yaj began heading to turn his test in, a newcomer suddenly started trouble with the man handing out the sheets to complete the trial of the hero, Yuji began unsheathing her sword ready to slam the handle into the back of the guy's head, but Aimee stepped in taking out a badge and attempted to calm him down."So, she isn't always childish." Yuji thought aloud.

Out of nowhere Yaj began heading towards the two of them, and push both the newcomer's head into Aimee's, but instead of knocking the two out by slamming their foreheads together, he instead made them kiss each other instead. The unintentional kiss began making Yuji chuckle and outright laugh at the two's misfortune of Yaj's intervening." Yaj, I think that's one way of making the two kiss and make up." Yuji sheathed her blade back onto her hip with more of a smile.

Everything happened so far it all kinda went over Lupa's head. There was yelling and fighting, then queues, then some more yelling, then someone finished a book, and now people were kissing. It was just all so crazy to Lupa. She was even given a piece of paper with some wrods on it. Too bad Lupa didn't know how to read. Still she kept the paper and walked out of the guild hall. Things were a bit too crazy for her tastes. Once outside Lupa just wandered around as she often did, occasionally finding something of interest and putting it into her back. This time it was bronze button that was on the floor.

As Lupa was walking around something caught her eye. It was black, long, and enticing. It looked tasty, yet it was still wiggling and wobbling, hanging down freely. Lupa wanted it. She needed it. It was going to be hers. Activating her hunter instincts, Lupa sneaked up on this big black thing and without warning, she pounced and got it into her hands. It was soft, warm, and fuzzy. It was someone's tail. "So... So nice... I want this..."

Before Metel could hear the reply to her (and the centaur woman's) question, a blond guy suddenly barged in and grabbed the man giving the sheeets by his shirt, demanding to know what the hell he meant by telling them to write the 2 million word essay. He had the same question as them but he went asking for the answer in a far different, and less polite, manner. Before Metel could tell him to drop the act, a girl took her place, begging the man to stop fighting or at least to fight outside instead of here. She also handed her sheet back, saying that the trial wasn't for her. Maybe she just decided to give up after looking at the essay question.

Of course, the blond guy responded rudely to her plead. Metel had already expected this, to be honest. He seemed like the arrogant type to her.

To make matters even worse, the inquisitor woman joined in on the fun, as she took her badge out and ordered the blond man to stand down and leave the old man alone. Metel noticed however how she was standing uncomfortably close to the man, with her chest pressing against his and her staring right into his eyes. It was a dangerous position to be in, she thought, but the inquisitor lady seemed to be too angry to notice.

That is, until the orc man pushed the blond towards her, making them have an accidental kiss.

Unlike the centaur woman, Metel was both horrified and embarrassed by the display. A blush crept onto her cheeks. She had no experience in lovemaking, so a simple accidental kiss caught her by surprise, making her heart beat faster. She averted her gaze, trying to regain her composure.

Julius Stiles

@Lady Athena@Hammerman@Spriggs27@Fonniku@Ryougu

"Such a sweet release..."

Julius dropped the man upon being forced to look at the badge this woman had thrust out towards him, for all to see. His eyes scanned the polished badge and then it became clear that all of his attention was focused from the man onto the badge and the woman presenting it. He studied it for a moment before looking up at the woman, a serious look on his face.

"The fuck are you s'posed to be? A mall cop?"

Julius clearly had no idea what it meant. After all, he was from another world. He was not given specifics about anything, just told there was some demon lord he needed to murderkill. He could glean this badge was supposed to mean something to somebody, but authorities never sat right with Julius. He was, after all, a thug of some renown. Your buttocks are my hunting ground.

But, even if he did not respect her authority whatsoever, she had managed to turn his attention, if only temporarily, to her rather than the NPC he was about to beat up. And as you would expect, compared to the woman, Julius was a big guy for you. He wasn't capable of backing down from a chest-puffing competition, especially not against somebody getting between him and some other asshole. They were asking for it! Glaring back at her, it seemed like neither was going to give up. Did she really want to get in a fight with him for that's man's sake? Did she want to be some form of hero? How disgusting. This woman was absolute disgust-----

----ing?

There were no signs. It came without warning. Julius felt his lips connect with somebody else's. They were the lips of the woman he was glaring at mere seconds ago.

Contact probably did not last very long, but the sheer heart attack he nearly had at being pushed into her (he would expect somebody to hit him over the head, not push him) had made seconds feel like minutes. It was certainly not a romantic thing, at least to him. If anything, it was the exact opposite. He hated everything about this. Being kissed? This was the first time he had ever been kissed. To be acted upon was one of the things Julius tended to avoid. Kissing? That's what he did. He was the one to engage it, and being in control of the situation and himself was what he enjoyed most.

Yet... a feeling began to stir within him. His body felt a bit hot, and he wasn't used to this kind of thing.

I have to ignore it.

His conscience, somehow still existing deep within him, spoke to him and demanded that he ignore this feeling. It would do no good here, and he only had one outlet for it. And surely if he gave in here, people would attempt to cause him harm. He wasn't truly an idiot. He knew risks and where to take them. He was supposed to improve, damnit! How was he so bad at this? Was he doomed to be a bad person?

Julius took a deep breath in and turned around to face the crowd. If he looked back, he might give into that dark desire. He might do something he couldn't undo.

"Ha." he laughed in a blatantly fake way. "It's so funny I forgot to laugh."

He hoped by focusing on other things, he could forget about it. His eyes had then wandered to the woman whom he had entered the place with, and it dawned on him that he didn't even know her name. He wasn't sure if he should look at her right now, because he did not know if this fire inside him would stir. But it didn't. Well, not AS bad. He could contain it, he wouldn't lose control.

"Grimmwiess?" he repeated. "Fancy name for a bum." he teased. She never denied it earlier. Although he was in the same position. Since it was his own name he couldn't be sure, but Stiles could always sound grandeur for somebody who had not a single piece of currency to their name at the moment.

....

....

......I guess I can't hold it in.

He really tried. It seemed a lot of people here had some form of heroic intentions. Guess that made sense, given the trial they were signing up for. That being said...

Julius turned around, now facing the woman he had been forced to kiss. His desire ignited, a hot feeling burning through every part of his body, but particularly one part. Because she was smaller than him, this would be easy to do. He closed the distance between him and his target and made his move----

---Striking the man he had been holding up with a furious punch, assuming there was no reason for it not to hit.

Soon the fire in his body subsided. He began to feel better, more like himself. He had really needed to cause that man pain or he would have went nuts.

Elrend Viridian

@Ryonara@liferusher

"Eeeeeh? Why not?"

Not meeting her eyes, simply continuing to walk forward, Elrend decided that not telling her the reason would be for everyones best interest. Joy, as she had finally stated was her name, was a young lady on the road to adulthood and by gods above and below today would not be the day she learned about intimacy between a man and another mans wife.. Maybe some other time.

"Suffice to say, I am unwelcome. Lets just-"

Joys shout of surprise hadn't exactly caught him unawares but it did play on his paranoia a great deal. People in his line of work suffered harsh and often violent criticism so reacting to sudden and unexpected moments was part of his being now, ground into his every nerve through unfortunate incident after unfortunate incident..
His right hand went out lightning quick, a flick of the wrist had the metal poll extended fully, as he performed a fencers thrust at whatever had caused Joy to shout. The metal pole cracked lightly but firmly on the offending hand of some stranger idly grabbing her tail. Still in the fencers stance, metal pole out threateningly, Elrend grabbed Joy by the shoulder and moved her so that he was between her and the newcomer.

"Now you keep those pesky hands off of her or so help me."

With Joy behind him now, his left hand hovered over the blinding powder nonchalantly. Thieves didn't like sharing.

Lupa loved this tail. It was so soft and plush and warm and awesome. Lupa rubbed the tail between her fingers and against her cheek. She could fall asleep with this tail wrapped around her hands. It was blissful. But suddenly, it was all taken away. Suddenly there was a sharp crack across Lupa's hand. It didn't really hurt, but it did catch her by surprise. She looked up and saw a man pointing a metal stick at her. Was he threatening her?

Lupa stood up onot her feet and backed away, but didn't keep her eyes off the man. She scowled and glared at him intently, thinking that he meant to harm her in some way. Looking at the man, as well as the woman he was holding, and something seemed off. Normally when Lupa see's something like this is was because the man was protecting a woman she liked. Yet this smelled off... Like the man didn't really like the woman, but she to be protected. Like some sort of hostage. Lupa didn't quite understand this feeling, but her instincts have never lead her wrong before. Still, Lupa wasn't sure what to do. She didn't know these people and this man obviously intended to hurt her if she kept bothering him. So in a flash, Lupa was gone. She jumped off the bridge into the river, yet there wasn't a splash. She simply vanished once she hopped over the edge.

"... What?"

Everything happened so fast. She was prepared to fight this thug and leave him bleeding in the streets. But instead someone, or maybe it was even this ruffian, they... She just lost her first kiss. To a complete stranger. A stranger who Aimee thought was a total douchebag, and someone who needed to be knocked down a peg. Eventually the two put some space between each other and Aimee could only kneel down and contemplate what had happened. She wanted to analyze it, to think about how she could have stopped it, maybe even fool herself into thinking it didn't happen. But despite how quickly it went by, she remembers it all with painfully vivid details.

Even hearing the old man get punched didn't snap Aimee out of her nearly catatonic state of embarrassment. But shortly after the old man fell, Aimee looked up. She then stood and walked away. As she was leaving she noticed Yaj. Something insde of her echoed in her mind. A warning... A blessing. A sign. He was the one who did this to her. To cause her such an embarrassing act, in front of all these people, with that scumbag. As Aimee walked out of the guild hall she turned around briefly, at an angle that would allow her to still see that orc. In one swift motion, Aimee took out Evelyn, shot at Yaj, and holstered her gun. She was going to church and pray.

Once everything was over, Yuji had a small smirk on her face after seeing Aimee's freak out over her kissing someone she didn't know, the centaur's previous thoughts of her went straight out the window of her not being childish. When she started to walk over to Yaj after everything, she noticed the inquisitor take out her pistol and aim for the Orc, acting quickly, and not thinking too much, she Yuji kicked the drunken orc with her hind legs for him to move him out of the way.

The centaur knight made sure she didn't kick him too hard but just enough to knock him to the ground. Yuji figured that a kick from a centaur wouldn't kill a drunken orc, she looked back to space where Aimee should've been and shook her head angry at the woman, she could've killed Yaj. Yuji lowered herself to the floor and began helping up the orc to his feet." Sorry about that, I just wasn't thinking and wanted to get you out of the way. I'm going after that human, and I'm going to give her a piece of my mind and if I need to beat some sense into her." Yuji crossed her arms looking the Orc in his eye." You wanna come?" She asked him.

Jasmyn

Now you've done it.--The only thought that crossed Jasmyn's mind as her fist was sent slamming into the aggressive man's nose. She'd put enough force in the blow to actually hurt her hand, but didn't let it get to her as she raised her arms to take on a defensive stance. "Sunuvah! I just told you not to hit him, didn't I? Are you plain stupid or just an a**hole?" she yelled, frustration showing across her face. Her 'question' was obscured by the sound of a gun being fired, however. Jasmyn looked around without lowering her guard, just in time to see Aimee hoster her gun again. As Aimee immediately walked off afterward, Jasmyn muttered a curse and returned her attention to the aggressive man. "Are all of you bloodthirsty maniacs, or is it just you two?"

Jasmyn had noticed the "kiss", but simply didn't care enough. She was however, fairly pissed at the orc for doing something like that, especially since she hadn't forgotten his comment on her breasts. Her list of people to avoid was growing rapidly, already being three people richer since she got here. To her relief, at least some of the people around didn't seem to be all that crazy. Maybe she should try hanging out with those people after she was done kicking this guy's ass?
