@Jones Sparrow oh, that was a very odd coincidence exactly what I was going for, I already knew that. But thanks for the praise, it's always good to know that people like my totally intentional stuff.

Jokes aside, character accepted? Today I'll actually write to story, but hope to see it really later, not now e.e also, the Cat school thing was an excelent coincidence

Well, I was more so making a Teemo reference than anything, but ideally yeah. A Code of Writ that gives them a scot-free pass. The pass just so happens to be attached to a giant Axe.

Character Sheet :

Name: Ferghus of Haakland
Age: 117 (Appears as though he is 40)
Appearance:

Race: Witcher
School: Wolf
Bio: In Progress
Personality:
Serviceable is a word most people would use to describe Ferghus. It's the kind of attitude that's there to get the job done and move on to the next hunt. He has a tendency to keep other's matters outside of his sights unless it was their life that was on the edge of his katana. Other than that-- he possesses a laissez faire demeanour.

Weapons: A pair of steel and silver katanas adorning his left waist. A tanto blade is also often seen when gathering trophies of his kills.
Family/relationships?: Rilden of Redania; fellow Wolf.
Other:
Waterstone kit, alchemical supplies to craft Witcher Potions.

Interesting. Where did he obtain such exotic weapons?

@Jones Sparrow

Are mages only able to control one element? Or can they control multiple?

Also in what way does it manifest? Is it like any other fantasy realm where you can just shape the magic to your design?

(I haven't played much of the Witcher, just FYI. I'm also very unfamiliar with the lore, especially regarding sorcerer/sorceress)

EDIT: Do mages need a conduit for their magic as well? ie. a wand or staff?

@Rekaigan

No worries! I'm glad you're interested!

There's no real "element" that the mages master in this world. It's more of, they use the elements to help get energy for the magic and spells. It honestly reminds me of the Force in Starwars, where they can use it all, but it drains them physically and mentally.

There aren't wands, and i don't recall a staff being used for magic by Sorcerers, but maybe a Dryad or something? What is really key in controlling magic is your creativity, your focus, and the hand gestures and body movements needed to create it with a certain spell. There isn't a limit on what type of magic there is, but some spells are forbidden, or frowned upon, like necromancy.

Many of the mages that go to schools to learn magic call it a "science" and it's always advancing, and with hard work anyone with the gift of magic usage can do almost anything.

Hopefully this helps :D

A katana is not in anyway shape or form superior to everything else. They just happen to be glorified greatly in the anime world.

I also recognise the fact that european swords are also coming into the anime field as glorified as the katana is-- but in truth, katanas are better slicers-- but I think compared to a european sword they lack everything else (flexibility, rigidity and toughness).

Yeah, as it goes the idea of a Katana was designed to slice and slash through the specific armor and attire of it's origin era. But the Westerner's blades were more diverse and served more purposes.

Hand-and-a-half Swords(the sword often referred two as a Longsword) was the battlefield mainstay for it's toughness, sharpness, and power. it could slice, chop, and pierce all in proper hands. Then you get shorter blades, thrusting blades, curved blades, and the commonly misinformed "Two-handers" such as Flamberges and Claymores, which were only meant to disrupt pike-lines. The large blades could cut through handles of the spears, or wedge a hole and allow the fighter into the face of a pikeman. But they were never meant for dueling or for general combat.

Sorry.. I don't mean to seem like a know it all.. I just really like some topics and like throwing my two cents into the mix.. Plus I hate the anime glorification of a lot of things.
