[IC] Pokemon Roleplay - Welcome to Casmer!

Larvesta fainted!
Zach is out of usable pokemon.
Zach returns Larvesta into its pokeball.
Riolu leveled to level 6!
"Darn, you won. Good game."

[Nyctophilia]

"Thanks!" Alex returns Riolu to his pokeball and looks around for a Pokemon Center.

[Ryougu]

That was a fun way to spend time. Roku thought before heading off. He hadn't said anything, but he'd make sure to remember their faces. Who knows, after all? He might see them around some time. Sauntering off in his usual manner, he stopped as he reached the edge of town. "Oh right. I should tell mum..." He mumbled to himself. Phone to his ear he entered route 1. He leaned against a tree as he finished his one-minute call.

Now that his mother knew he was going out of town for a while, it should be fine, right? Switching his phone for his newly obtained pokédex, he muttered "So let's see...Route 1, what pokémon do you hold?"

[MinnieKing]

"You're welcome. Anyways, I should go. See ya."
Zach runs to the nearest pokemon center, which is right next to the lab.

Roku finds that the pokedex displays a few pokemon on the route. Since he hasn't encountered any pokemon, they do not display. The pokemon hide in the tall grass.

[Ryougu]

"Ehhh? Are you kidding me? Is it malfunctioning? Lame." Roku complained, unaware of how to operate the pokédex. It would probably have been best if he had asked for a proper explanation... 'Oh well...' he thought, a smirk forming on his face. "Only one way to find out." Heading straight in what he believed was the direction of the next town, Roku bravely traversed the tall grass.

[MinnieKing]

A wild Foongus springs out at Roku!

[Ryougu]

Taken by surprise as he practically tripped over the pokémon, Roku quickly sent out his Elekid. He tried hard to remember his type-matchups, eventually coming to the conclusion thundershock would be out of the question. With the little knowledge of plants he had, he also managed to work out that fighting a mushroom would probably get his Elekid poisoned. "Drat! Run Elekid!" He shouted as he attempted to distance himself from the shroom.

[MinnieKing]

Elekid escapes the battle, mainly because Foongus's aren't exactly the speediest pokemon.

[Ryougu]

"Okay, that could've gone better...Let's try that again, shall we, Elekid?"

Courageous as the boy was, Roku once more entered the tall grass. (Though he'd this time try to avoid Foonguses where he could.)

[MinnieKing]

This time, a wild Surskuit hops out at him from a nearby pond.

[Ryougu]

"Eh? What's that? It doesn't look very cool... Well I suppose it doesn't matter, if it lives in water, electricity is the solution, Elekid, use thundershock!"

[MinnieKing]

Surskuit, being a bug type as well, takes neutral damage. However, being a lower level and not having much Sp. def, it gets hit hard. Surskuit uses Fell Stinger!

Elekid: 21/25
Surskuit: 5/18

[Ryougu]

"Ohh! Nice one, Elekid! Give him no time to recover, use quick attack!"

[MinnieKing]

Surskuit fainted. Elekid leveled to level 6!

[Nyctophilia]

Riolu's pokeball still in hand, Alex quickly follows Zach into the Pokemon Center. He hands his pokeball to the Nurse to be healed.

[Ryougu]

Once more drawing out his pokédex, Roku decided to see if he could find the data on the pokémon he'd just encountered. He'd have liked to continue onward, but if the pokédex didn't work he'd have no chance but to return to professor Pine.

[MinnieKing]

Nurse Joy takes Alex's pokeball, places it on a machine, and an annoying boopy noise plays. Alex gets his pokeball back, with Riolu healed.

Roku finds data on Foongus and Surskuit.

[Nyctophilia]

Alex thanks Nurse Joy and heads out of the Pokemon Center. He ventures onto route one in search of new Pokemon.

[MinnieKing]

He can see Roku a bit further into the route. The tall grass is rustling with wild pokemon and the ground is patterned with leaves.

[Ryougu]

"Oh. It seems to be functioning... Feels a little dangerous to need to find pokémon first, though. With a frown he looked at Elekid, by doing so, Roku was reminded of the adventure he had just embarked on. His frown turning into an excited grin as he started walking again, he exclaimed "Let's go, Elekid, we'll become the strongest team around!"
