[IC] Pokemon Roleplay - Welcome to Casmer!

[MinnieKing]

A trainer, who looks about nine, runs past Roku. He stops, then turns around and walks back over.
"Here! You take it! It's stupid anyways, I don't want it!" he says, shoving a pokeball into Rokus hands and running away.

[Ryougu]

Surprised by the sudden burst of kid, Roku yells at the kid and follows him. "Oi! Hold up squirt!"

[MinnieKing]

The kid increases his pace, and speeds away into the mist. He's small, but he's a speedster.

[Ryougu]

"Crud." Roku grunts. "Couldn't keep up." Curious to see what the kid had left with him, Roku sent out the new Pokémon.

[MinnieKing]

Out from the pokeball comes a Drilbur. It's fainted. It has scrapes all over its body, and it's in bad shape.

[Ryougu]

"Jeez, that kid! Not cool!" Rushing off to the poké center with the Drilbur in his arm and Elekid at his side, Roku almost tripped at one point, being forced to slow down just a little.

[MinnieKing]

As he trudges through the snow, the Drilbur stays steady in his arm without bouncing or falling off. He makes it to the pokemon center.
"Oh dear. What happened to that poor Drilbur?" Nurse Joy asks.

[Ryougu]

"Just what I'd like to know, miss. Too bad I don't. Some kid just left the poor fellow with me. Just...Fix 'em up, please."

[MinnieKing]

"Of course."
Nurse joy takes the Drilbur, goes into the back room, and returns with Drilbur, who is now concious.

[Ryougu]

With a sigh of relief, Roku opens his bag and retrieves a snack. Extending the snack to Drilbur, he gently asks "Are you okay now? You were in pretty bad shape. Say, should I try returning you to your trainer?"

[MinnieKing]

Drilbur eagerly takes the snack, but looks a bit angry when Roku mentions his trainer. Not mad at Roku, but probably mad at that jerky nine year old for abandoning it.

[Ryougu]

Roku looks a bit sad upon seeing the Drilbur's reaction. "I see... I guess you wouldn't. I still think he'd miss you before too long, but if you'd perhaps rather come along with me...? I can't promise to do better, but I'll try to take care of you."

[MinnieKing]

Drilbur looks into Roku's eyes for a moment. Then, he pounces and hugs Roku's neck.

[Ryougu]

"Whoa, easy there." Roku exclaims as he's suddenly leapt at by the Drilbur, losing his balance and falling flat on his rear. Roku smiles warmly and returns his attention to nurse Joy. "Thanks miss! You're great." Excitedly he left the pokémon center again, outside, he found himself once more drawn to the gym. This time, instead of entering, he turned away. Drilbur was at a disadvantage here, and the gym leader must've been ruthless, he'd need to get stronger before he'd try taking this person on. With his confidence now a little shaken, Roku returned to route 1. Even if there wasn't a pokémon that could help him there, they'd at least help him grow stronger.

[Ryougu]

His training done, Roku grinned. That could've gone worse, after all. With his now strengthened team, Roku once more returned to the gym. As he entered he boldly declared. "Where's the gym leader? I'll beat them and take their badge!"

[MinnieKing]

"Kehehe! You think you're ready to take on me?" a dark voice cackles from the back of the building. In the shadows, there's a frozen over battlefield and a person in a blue cloak.

[Ryougu]

Feeling a jolt of anime-esque passion, Roku strikes a pose and declares "You have needlessly hurt my companion, for that you will pay! I'll mow through your army of servants, and after that, I'm coming for you, dark lord!"

[MinnieKing]

"I... uh... ok, i'm gonna be honest. I have no army. No servants. They all quit last week... but, see, the thing is, to legally battle me, you have to face a difficult task, which is usually gym trainers. So, you can't battle me until I hire some new-"
Suddenly, the doors behind Roku swing open.
"Ay, gym leader. I'm here for your badge!" A voice says.
At the doorway stands one of the trainers Roku had seen earlier. The blonde one.
The gym leader looks at him, then speaks. "You two, battle eachother. The winner gets to battle me."
