Appearance: Short, strange and starey. Biff stands at slightly below average height – 5'2", not counting the heel of her Doc Martins – but is no less intimidating for it. Her broad shoulders say that she packs a punch. Her buzzed hair screams 'skinhead', at least to those who can't distinguish punk rock from fascist. She counteracts the purple circles of sleeplessness under her eyes with haphazardly applied eyeliner, and her thin lips are painted with lipstick a few shades too dark to be flattering. Makeup is the only reminder on a flat-chested, blocky frame that Biff
is a girl, not just a feminine boy.
According to her, ratty old t-shirts and jeans that have seen too much wear and too few washes are suitable for all occasions. She doesn't update her wardrobe often, choosing to pick up what she owns from thrift shops and charities before hitting the high street and forking over cash to The Man. Biff does not share her dad's love of trenchcoats (because terrible fashion sense is something
not inherited) but she does have a trademark of her own in a warm, worn leather jacket from the 1960s.

As someone who hates education in general, it might seem confusing that Biff enjoys research considerably. She enjoys being the smartest person in the room full of sheep when it comes to her chosen subjects. Who cares about algebra or anatomy when someone needs to help a ghost pass on, or when a demon comes knocking? Biff respects those who have their own expertise, so long as they listen to her when it's her domain being discussed. If nothing else, she hates being ignored almost as much as she loves being right.
A sharp tongue and quick wit support Biff in her endeavors as a performance artist. She has a flair for the dramatic. Every act of escapology must be delayed until the audience is on the edge of their seats; every card trick drawn out to create the greatest of mysteries. Biff is a good showman and revels in holding someone's (or several someones') attention for a period of time.
Biff rarely feels strong emotions. It is difficult to manipulate her, or alter her emotions through unnatural means, because she does not act upon them. She is not easily guilted, appeals to her better nature go unanswered, and soon enough everyone (even her own mother) will realise that she is just like her father in her stoicism. It goes without saying, Biff finds it difficult to keep friends once made, because she's a ball of witty one-liners constantly keeping others at arm's length, playing the 'hard man'.
Then again, she does care quite a bit about those who do stick around, even if she's too deadpan for it to show.

Strengths:⚜ Sleight of Hand – It's not just a matter of hiding extra cards up her sleeves during poker or performing a few "magic" tricks. Biff's deftness also extends to pocketing small objects of interest without their owner noticing, or concealing a weapon.
⚜ Escapology – Like the great Houdini himself, Biff enjoys escaping from handcuffs, locked chests, ropes and restraints in her free time. It's not really clear how she does it, only that she enjoys baffling others whenever possible.
⚜ Knowledge of the Occult – Studying for school isn't really her thing, but there is a sense of wonder in just researching the unknown. Biff has spent a lot of time immersed in the craft, and now she has a near-encyclopedic knowledge of many of the dangers she might face.
Weaknesses:☠ Physical Activity – Biff is not able to sprint a hundred meters without coughing up half a lung. Short bursts of exercise are as much as she can manage, as a smoker and someone who avoids working hard in Gym class like the plague.
☠ Psychically Open – Since her psychic connection with Nergal was muted, Biff has had issues with closing herself off. She herself is not telepathic, but those who look into her mind will easily see the irreparable damage that has been done and read her like an open book. Still... there are things that lurk in the corners of one's mind when they've been touched by a demon. Fangs.
☠ Doesn't Know When to Quit – Biff is as stubborn as an ox when she sets her mind to something, and nothing – not even the strongest emotions, like fear, or love – can make her change her mind about it.
Brief Biography:Shortly before Biff was born, her mother left her father, citing his unwillingness to leave the dangerous life of the occult behind. Maybe it was fair, maybe it wasn't, but there was no denying that John Constantine did not follow the easiest of paths. He had already died (and been resurrected) twice-over at that point. His name had become synonymous with 'great' in the circles he encountered. His name frightened demons. He made deals in fractions of his soul, because he'd sold it so often.
That path is the one that Biff wanted to follow. Living briefly in most of the major cities in the UK (including Belfast, during her early years) it didn't take long until Kit Ryan took her daughter to Liverpool, where some of her father's friends still skulked about. One uncle-figure taught her card tricks. Another taught her the runic alphabet. All of it was done outside of her mother's watchful gaze, and it took very little time for Biff to become a dabbler herself, chasing all the leads the internet had to offer.
Kit Ryan, of course, was beside herself when she found out. She had maintained contact with John throughout the years, particularly when Biff's Nergal-induced nightmares became too frequent to maintain a normal life, but since that problem had been solved, she swore never to have anything else to do with the occult. Unfortunately her daughter disagreed, dropping out of school in Liverpool when she was sixteen to hunt down the elusive magician, with a little help from his network of contacts.
There was no chance of travelling with him, not being so vulnerable to psychic assaults, and so she was sent away after the first (violent) mishap... to somewhere safe.
Powers and Abilities
⇝ DivinationBiff has some talent for forseeing the future, mostly in the form of omens and mysterious symbols in the waking world. Occasionally, she has prophetic dreams – faces and names and places all flash by her, and she is forced to scramble to connect the dots when she is awake. Purposeful rituals and trances allow her more control over this talent, turning it from scattered flashes into something more akin to astral projection, scrying into the past, present, or future.
⇝ Spells and SorceryLike any good dabbler in the occult, Biff is familiar with an array of defensive and offensive spells and they are no mere parlour tricks. Her go-to form of magic is anything involving fires, specifically fireballs which she can light from a cigarette or a Zippo lighter – a trick her father's friend taught her when she was much younger. She also has passing knowledge of voodoo (the 'easier', bad luck hexes), due to a fortnight spent in the company of Papa Midnite while tracking down her father.
⇝ Demon SummoningWhat would John Constantine's daughter be if she didn't follow in his footsteps, mirroring his own mistakes? Biff has intimate knowledge of the unsavoury side of her father's occupation, and is mostly self-taught in this aspect. She has not summoned anything yet, let alone something as powerful as Nergal. Because of this, she is also good at combating demons through Biblical means or otherwise.
⇝ Demon BloodJust as John Constantine has the taint of demon blood running through his veins, a gift from the demon Nergal, so too does his daughter. Biff's blood heals her own minor wounds, but can also be injected into another person so as to aid their recover, though it also taints the recipient. A resistance to aging is another side-effect. This trait did once psychically link her to Nergal, causing terrible nightmares; however, the connection has since been severed.
