Put my WiP up there.I'll just wait for Omega to get back on the IRC to answer my question. Iunno, just in case he gets on here before the IRC i guess i'll post it anyway.I'm just wondering about a Psyker starting talent, it says Up to 500xp worth of psychic powers chosen from Unaligned. Does that mean I start with +5 or +10 or what have you towards the talent choices/available talents from the Unaligned section?

It means you have 500 exp to spend on talents that are psyker abilities. i would provide examples if I could.

So it doesn't count toward the 1,000 xp already given? Hmm...

No, I do not believe so.

edit: i do not think it matters much though since Black Crusade does not use an exp levelling system so exp is just for buying stuff and nothing else.

Fallen Muse, roll for Scholastic Lore (Tactica Imperialis) and Common Lore (War)

Crayt, roll for Linguistics (Chaos Marks), Scholastic Lore (Heresy), Forbidden Lore (Daemonology), and Forbidden Lore (Warp).

I will be PMing out the results of your rolls in a moment, all modifiers are hidden and this will be a common thing when I ask people to make tests of this nature so you cannot be positive on just how well you did and do not know how much of the story you know.

I have now looked over the sheets and placed the sheets in a Dramatis Personae in the first post. I do not believe I saw any issues.

Now then, I noticed something odd when looking at imagination's and Crayt's sheets. Both psykers though Crayt chose the one from the Tome of Fate and was noticeably more powerful in what seemed like every way. This was odd to me, until on page 26 I found a warning that I had previously missed as it had been at the start of a fluff area. The advanced class from the tomes are equivalent to those in the core book with 4600 exp.

I am not going to make people change classes since those from the Tomes are indeed quite cool. So I will allow them though people who take core book classes will get an extra 4600 exp to utilize as well as 12 infamy and 20 corruption as well.

So if you take a core class, you get the following total additions:
5600 exp, 12 infamy, 20 corruption.
Advanced class:
1000 exp, 3 infamy, 5 corruption.

You then add any corruption or infamy from your archetype.

I am going to apologize for these periodic mistakes of mine as GM. These books are not overly user friendly in their setup, (a complaint I am not alone in I find thanks to the internet), and while I have done Dark Heresy before and a little Rogue Trader so there are plenty of familiar things the details are what I am missing occasionally.

I think my knowledge check results have changed.

Also, I realised I was reading from the wrong table, so my reason for being unaligned is... pointless. So, with Tzeentch we go!

oh... oh my.

edit: I will take this moment to inform everyone that you cannot share knowledge until you meet someone though if you are starting out as a group naturally all knowledge can be shared, for example Muse and Poly are part of Zed's crew and so all 3 can share info freely.

That would be a good starting point for the RP I think for you.

Zed and his crew are kind of very wanted and would be heading down from the upper levels I imagine maybe looking for some help from other Chaos worshippers.

You are coming up from the underhive looking for chaos worshippers to help you with your little issue.

Crayt is one of the most wanted people on the planet and would likely be heading down as well.

Muse can probably tell why you will all meet together thanks to one of her rolls.

Edit: Muse rolled burning body as a chaos gift. Reading it this is one of the silliest ones given that permanent fire all over you would mean that life would become near impossible and you could not do things like sleep in a bed because you would burn it. Therefore for burning body I homerule it can be turned off at will but takes a WP test to turn on.

Yeah, permanently being ON FIRE is not very good unless you're a Khornate Space Marine. XD

So then it seems Rainah, Muse, and Crayt seem to have finished their sheets.

Zed and Zran have yet to post sheets but Zed is near completion as far as I know.

Imagination and Poly are just finishing spending exp.

I think the IC will be up tomorrow.

It seems a lot of people forgot their base human starting abilities.

You get the following for being human.

Starting Skills: Common Lore (Any Two), Linguistics, (Low Gothic), Trade (Any One)
Starting Trait: The Quick and The Dead

THE QUICK AND THE DEAD
To survive in the Vortex, particularly as a human, one
must be quick, both in wits and action. Sometimes fast
refl exes can compensate for ceramite armour. All Heretics
with this Trait add a +2 bonus to Initiative Rolls.

I forgot the skills, yes.

Common Lore (Imperium), Common Lore (Screaming Vortex) (I think this is where we are); Trade (Armourer).

Need me to make more lore checks about this place? XD

If I can get materials, I have a chance of making power armour on my own. :O

EDIT: Bafflingly, Hereteks don't start out with Forbidden Lore (Mechanicus). That just seems... odd...

... okay, have finalised skills now (Security removed, Forbidden Lore (Mechanicus) and Psyniscience), since not knowing about the Mechanicus properly was annoying me. Sorry about that.

We are not in the Screaming Vortex but my own homebrew area.

Geminus Sector, the region is known as "The Trail of Dust."

Right, changed it to that, then. :p

Which means, which of the following do you want rolls for:

Common Lore (Imperium)
Common Lore (Geminus Sector)
Forbidden Lore (Adeptus Mechanicus)
