Got inspired early.
Player Name

Character

Sonic the Hedgehog

Power and Abilities

Sonic has the ability to defy physics and defenses against the sound barrier in particular, this creates a sort of ability to go superhuman speeds. With this superhuman speed also comes a great knack for agile reflexes, though Sonic’s personality tends to counteract his potential with his powers and abilities.

Alignment

Chaotic Good - Law doesn't matter, Morality does and action needs to drive things to get better.

Character Notes

I’m taking influences from character manuals, Fleetway’s “Sonic the Comic”, Archie’s “Sonic the Hedgehog” whilst trying to mold the Sonic canon into the universe competently and cohesively. The power-set of at least one of his companions is altered from the norm and I plan to tell stories that reflect the magical nature of this variety of islands that nobody in the history of Earth discovered. The main influence is STC.

Mobius – A set of islands that exhibit anthropomorphic animals that evolved from the magic surrounding the islands including the chaos emeralds, the time stones, and so on. They are loosely led by a character inspired by Archie’s “King Acorn” but it’s not a rich British-inspired monarchy like in the comics.

Sonic the Hedgehog – The hero of the day, a seventeen year old hedgehog with super speed and a little bit cocky.

The Metallix – Robotnik’s former base of operations, destroyed by Sonic on a previous adventure—hoping to pure most of the robotic technology his enemy had at his disposal. Unfortunately, Robotnik had come up with back-up plans for such a reason and is working on a new lab with a plethora of robots as Sonic takes a breath.

Miles “Tails” Prower – A thirteen year old youth and technological genius that was inspired by Kintobor several years ago, Sonic’s most trusted friend.

Amy Rose – A fifteen year old female hedgehog that is immersed in the mythlore of Mobius, but is ultimately idolizing Sonic romantically due to a past experience several years ago.

Knuckles of the Echidna – The last supposed echidna mobian and a stubborn guardian of the Master Emerald, a mysterious artifact that can negate the chaos from the chaos emeralds temporarily and utilize their power. It is also the thing keeping Mobius hidden. He is nineteen years old.

Johnny Lightfoot – A good-willed member of a militia and expert with staff combat. His family was kidnapped by Robotnik and roboticized.

Background and Story So Far

The origins of Sonic the Hedgehog date back to the studies of one man named Doctor Ivo Kintobor, a career scientist who sought out an energy source that he could use to revolutionize the world and mark his place in history. Believing the possibilities of limitless clean energy were beyond theoretical suggestions like cold fusion he decided to seek out more curious possibilities of the past history. Knowing full well the thought of old world artifacts existed as power sources of this regard would make his colleagues laugh at him he sought out men outside of his field who could give him a helping clue. This allowed him to meet with Wan Li and Richard Croft; both of whom seemed to not scoff at him for his suggestions, however the two did not aid him as Richard Croft had a previous engagement to seek out and Wan Li discouraged Kintobor for seeking out artifacts of this nature—relating the dangers of such to his childhood in China. Displeased, Kintobor began to do his own research with his extravagant resources due to his time working for a technology development firm previously which is where his fortune and claim as one of the world’s leading expert on robotics came from.

Travelling into the Atlantic Ocean on route to Cairo on his yacht “The Metallix”, Kintobor found himself during a hectic storm stranded on an uncharted island that would later become known to him as South Island. Surprisingly this would end up being exactly where he desired to be. Using his stranded yacht as a base of operations he began to explore the island, of which he soon discovered was inhabited by sentient animals that called themselves “Mobians” who had told him how surprised they were that an outsider didn’t sink into the ocean like they had expected. He inquired why and they had no real answer so he theorized that he was perhaps in some sort of scientific anomaly in the ocean or simply had lost his mind after he got shipwrecked on the island. The truth of the matter was much more magical as he seemingly communicated with the animal-men that called themselves Mobians. Using the technology from his yacht he brought “modern invention” to the simple folk of the island, of which their leader believed to be fascinating.

Through time the mutual friendship between Kintobor and the Mobians blossomed as Kintobor shared his science as they shared their mythology he finally became aware of the artifacts he had believed to be the goal to eradicating dirty industry and bringing about limitless energy, these artifacts were called the chaos emeralds. These emeralds were depicted in the mythology of the culture as bringers of change that were sought after for their raw power. Along his research Kintobor befriended a Mobian named Sonic who found the kindhearted scientist interesting—Kintobor would later develop shoes for the hedgehog that could endure the consistent speed of an Olympic-level runner like Sonic. Kintobor saw his friend as company he could appreciate and help him could utilize. After a few years they found the emeralds themselves and Kintobor went to his lab to experiment and analyze them. The magic in the emeralds thereafter exploded and Sonic and Kintobor found themselves changed as Sonic’s abilities were augmented and Kintobor’s intellect was also augmented. However, Kintobor had been at the brunt of the negative energy exhibited by the emeralds and found himself not kindhearted and sane anymore—but quite the opposite. Remodeling himself as Robotnik, Sonic awakened to see the human he had called a friend enslaving and destroying his home. This was the first time he would discover his “super speed” and throughout the next years he fought Robotnik with hopes he could somehow reach out to his friend.

Amongst these years he met other Mobians who he came to know as allies such as a kid named Miles, a girl named Amy, and a man named Knuckles.

Sample Post

“It’s just one thing that I don’t understand. Where is Robotnik getting all of his technology, all of the resources to keep coming back? Shouldn’t at one point we drained him of his resources—”

The air was thin in the forests of Westside Island as the two-tailed fox attempted to make sense of Robotnik’s seemingly endless resources. The anthropomorphic fox was right to be worried in his ignorance but his companion, the blue-furred hedgehog looked back at him with a dead expression—Sonic saw Kintobor as a friend despite of the madness that consumed him as Robotnik and he hated the chaos emeralds for it because it took away one of the most important people in his life as the lack of family and friends before meeting Kintobor was something he thought about constantly. Sonic’s brows narrowed as he spoke to his young friend.

“He doesn’t need resources.”

The concept confounded Miles as he scratched his head, “What do you mean, Sonic?”

There was a terrible nostalgia with Sonic’s memories of Kintobor, but it was important to remember for the blue hedgehog. Once he’d forgotten what Kintobor once was he could convince himself that Robotnik was just a product of pure evil and chaos… while partially true, Sonic believed that Kintobor was still in there, somewhere, and wanting to be in control of his own body. A heavy breath left Sonic as he recalled the nights he’d talk to Kintobor about his inventions. One was a very sinister machine that he had created but ultimately destroyed, but Robotnik had likely recalled the memory and rebuilt it.

“It’s called the Roboticizer. Using an energy source like one of our magical trinkets it transfers flesh and bone to metal and wire.”

Sonic could tell the words frightened Tails incredibly so as the young fox went silent. Kintobor had scrapped it, as originally it was a tool of science and medicine, but there was no way to change the process from dominating the willpower of somebody when fully roboticized. Kintobor had only intended it to replace limbs… and he knew that’s where people were going and why the rulers of Mobius were isolating themselves with magical defenses—though that didn’t help the villages and settlements that didn’t live in those towns. Sonic felt in his bones that Robotnik was picking apart people and turning them into the machines that him and Tails dealt with before.

“…so… those badniks. They were people?”

Sonic nodded with a heavy darkness, it was why he tried not to obliterate the robots and instead disable them. But some of them had a tendency to explode which put a completely different weight on Sonic and now Tails.

“He killed them the moment he changed them.” Sonic stated.

“But we…”

“No, we didn’t. It’s the darkness that has ruined him. He killed them, he programmed them to self-destruct.”

“He’s a monster.”

Sonic closed his eyes as he stood up. “Yeah, Robotnik is.”

“But—” Sonic paused as he opened his eyes and looked back to his friend, “We’ll take him and his evil machines down, right?”

Does he have any comics? I'm not finding any.

Loving everyone's concepts so far. My Leo CS is done, now I'm deciding on my second/third. I have 3 concepts I can't choose between so far.

Henry, I can't find any, either. So in that case, I'm googling fictional assassins.
47 did have a series of novels, however, and I did find this:

As awesome as it would be to write a chainsaw wielding Einstein and cyborg Wernher von Braun, I don't think I can do it justice and don't have any solid ideas, so I'll go for what I know.

Well, I'm researching. I COULD do Jason Voorhees from his time at Wildstorm, but Jason's a mute and a serial killer. Thoughts? Also proof of Jason's comic book existence: http://www.comicvine.com/friday-the-13th/4050-25462/

....No. I was thinking Jason's near superhuman ability not to die and crush a man's skull like a plastic beer can could come from Government induced experimentation.

I'm curious to ask "Why Jason" of all people....

Also for those who care, I've added some info on The Council of Five in Wesley's sheet. Will no doubt be putting in finishing touches like history and sample in the coming days.

Jason's one of my favorite fictional characters. And I couldn't find an assassin I wanted to do. Plus Cobra Commander never really puts himself in the field. Also, is it Seargeant or Sargeant?

Looks good. They'll have a rival soon enough.

Cobra Commander gonna kick some puppies!

As for Jason...I dunno how you're gonna tell a story with him considering he's one note.

It is confirmed, Storm Shadow will be fighting The Killer. Somehow, and someway.

(Okay I'll stop obsessing over that fight.)

They probably do, so I probably shouldn't even be saying this, but whatever.
