Cpt Toellner The Hero We Deserve

I'm started to get really bored with the music I have, any ideas?

Doesn't need to be anything new or not popular, I just have odd stuff and want something else.

What sort of genres are you into? I know you want something new, but still, a vague direction would help.

I love Mother Mother. Then of course, Marina and the Diamonds, Regina Spektor, and Florence and the Machine. The National.

Frank Turner is super good! I'll always be a huge fan of Metric and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Unwed Mothers, Duologue. The 1975 and The Neighbourhood. City and Colour. The Format. Of Monsters and Men and a lot of fun.'s old stuff. The Headstones. The Gorillaz hold a special place in my heart, and Kings of Leon are p rad too. The Fugees.

I've got a lot of other recs but you should be good for now? You probably know most of these bands, but if you don't they're definitely worth checking out.

I forgot MS MR. Also, I have a music tag on my blog that has all sorts of different stuff. I recommend just scrolling a bit and checking some of it out.
It's basically anything that shows up on my dash that I like.

Ignore the tweenie editing job. I couldn't find another YT version of the full song.

Okay, so by heavier & louder things I assume you mean metal, but I don't really listen to any so instead I recommend: The Tiger Lillies, Nick Cave, and maybe Angelspit. But mostly The Tiger Lillies and Nick Cave. The Lillies have a creepy little number called Jack that gives a pretty good idea of what to expect from them, they also have an hour long show based on Lovecraft's work, and it's pretty awesome. Much of the stuff off of Murder Ballads may appeal to you such as Stagger Lee and the Curse of Millhaven. Currently I listen to a lot of Birdeatsbaby, Gabby Young and Other Animals (They are coming to play in my town! Majorly excited!), and Jill Tracy. So maybe try The Bullet, In Your Head, or Doomsday Serenade. As for some older stuff it's always worth having a playlists of Louis Armstrong handy.

I add The Wiggles to my friends' Pandora radio stations from time to time. 1/5 times I get positive feedback.

Also, as someone who gets tired of a genre very easily, it helps to just look through the Spotify playlists and radio stations, and just keep liking stuff until you make the perfect radio station.

If you haven't already heard of them, I rather enjoy Týr. Viking themed metal usually makes for good times. Flames of the Free is probably my favorite song of theirs.

Speaking of Viking themed metal, Amon Amarth is rather well known but if you haven't given any/much of their stuff a listen it's probably worth your time. Valhall Awaits Me is one of my favorites, and the album it's from is overall really good.

Fuck it, another Viking themed band. Leaves' Eyes is less hard, but still in the overall realm of metal. Norwegian Lovesong is one of my favorites and a pretty good example of what sort of music the band makes.

I found all this music when I was in a Game of Thrones RP and was playing House Greyjoy, so I wanted fitting music for sea raider types. Viking stuff fit for very obvious reasons.

You seem like the type to enjoy a bit of Alestorm

I'm not a huge fan of the genre myself, but you might like them.

This takes a little while to warm up, but it's a really solid song.
