"Many eons ago, our people are said to have roamed the stars. It is not said what happened, but here we are now, trapped below the stars. Today, that changes! Today, we reach out to the stars! There is no more Delphan or Human, no Abh or Dolphin, no Trilianthisk'Han or Ethra'Hirel or Loroi, now there are only the Children of Lakfakalle!"
-Fairlan Miklan, Delphan Scientist and Politician

=History=

For many thousands, even millions of years, members of hundreds of different species spread across thousands of star systems have looked up into the sky. Some dreamed of peace and prosperity, others of conquest and war. A few dreamed of exploration, of the wonders that would be uncovered in the sky. It was those dreamers that pushed their species forward. Inventing new technologies, taking the reins of nations, helping others, and doings things nobody else would do. In the ancient times after those dreamers accomplished the feat of interstellar travel, a great war swept through the tiny sliver of the cosmos which included the entire local group of galaxies. This horrific war began when the Earth Alliance and Equestrian Empire joined forces to do the unthinkable: attack a Draconian planet. The Draconian empire controlled dozens upon dozens of galaxies, and the common belief was that they were invincible. However, those two empires managed to take that first planet with all technology and defenses intact through a bloody battle that spanned the entire system. When the Draconian Empire got news of the attack, they launched an invasion of the entire Milky Way. However, they made the mistake of destroying a civilization the Triarian Collective practically worshiped in the process, and thus they fought with extreme vigor. The combined forces of the Milky Way brought down the Draconian Empire, with the help of species they liberated from their control. Armed with the technology of the Draconian Empire and unhindered by their exploitation, they were free to do as they pleased and grew even stronger than the Draconians.

However, that golden age was not to last. Fifty thousand Earth Standard years ago, first contact with an extradimensional species was made when an FTL jump made by a Triarian courier ship went wrong. It opened up a breach in the wall separating our own reality from this strange and alien universe. The species that appeared to completely dominate this universe didn't bother to send any messages, they simply attacked the courier ship and began to stream into our universe endlessly. The fleets of the nations in the local group-the only area with a connection to the alternate universe-attempted to fight this new found enemy, but it was impossible to hold off such a vastly superior foe. While they fought valiantly, planets were lost by the dozens every day as the once-great fleets of the Allied Interstellar Federation and Triarian Collective fell back over and over again. The Federation-which had started and ended the war with the Draconian Empire centuries ago using superior tactics and creative use of technology-had no concept of how to stop the enemy species dubbed the "Reapers". However, while the fleets and troops ran from the Reapers, the Triarian Collective was working with the help of six Delphan savants from the Federation to create the most horrific weapon possible to imagine: a device capable of destroying an entire universe. Such feats were far beyond the technology of the time, but they toiled for thousands of years as entire galaxies were conquered and consumed by the Reapers. After ten thousand years the device was finally completed and unleashed in the Reaper's home universe. The destruction was just as horrific as expected, quadrillions of galaxies extinguished in under a second as the very fabric of space-time was ripped apart and the laws of physics twisted and broken by the device. However, the effects were not confined to the second universe, as all it did was cause the two universes to collide. Being significantly larger, the "primary" universe survived the collision while the second was utterly anhilliated. Of course, it did not escape unscathed. An equal number of lives were lost in the primary universe as well, and tears opened in the fabric of its space and time as well. These tears allowed huge storms to pass through between all universes, traveling through the primary one. All empires lost contact with their extra-galactic colonies and the stars of other galaxies began to go out, being torn apart by the storms and tears. The Milky Way survived with few tears and storms, but invaders from other universes attacked it as well, leaving its civilizations in ruins but its basic structure intact. Over the next ten thousand years these attacks completely stopped due to the civilizations of the Milky Way already having been thrown back to 21st century levels of technology, as well as the destruction of most extrauniversal species and civilizations. Now, thirty thousand years from the end of the attacks, the civilizations of the Milky Way have begun to return to the stars. Some have the horrific collapse of all civilization in the multiverse well documented, others know it only as myth, and then there are the younger species overlooked by the attackers. The species that are just now reaching for the stars for the first time. What will become of these few survivors, will they finally give up and die, or will they refuse to allow themselves to be extinguished and flourish once more?

Probably gonna need further refining, and I'm likely to find it complete crap when I wake up, but screw it I'm tired

Name of nation: The Collective
Species: http://starempiresreboot.wikia.com/wiki/TriariiTriarii[/url
Hara-Ka
Ziatri
Corruptelae Insectum
Selkath
Aru'Shumi
Human (Lance Genus)
Small number of Draconians
Various non-sentient species
Previously: Asari, Batarian, Turian (Now Extinct)
History:: The Triarii are a highly intelligent species. They managed a rather quick evolution from hunter-gather to space faring species. With their doctrine built solely around the greater good, war was almost completely unheard of, soldiers being bogeymen with which to threaten children. The greatest war in Early Triarian History was the War of Tenebris, or War of the dark times, which lasted a mere one earth day and left only 102 dead. Ethics were left in the dirt

Eager too start, the Triarii spread throughout the stars. They dreamed of meeting other species that could trade knowledge with them and indulge in creating an intelligent, peaceful alliance with these species. But this was not to be. The colony of Chron was taken from them by another empire, The Xorg. A mass genocide ensured no Triarii survived the attack on the Colony. A huge blow, given the slow reproduction rate the Triarii usually indulge in. Nonetheless, the Triarii attempted peaceful negotiations. The colony of Stret fell and the Triarii changed their tune. They build a relatively large fleet of powerful battleships (During the construction the colonies of Zils and Poi were also exterminated). The Triarii took the fight to their enemy. In the conflict that followed resulted in the victory of the Triarii... but it came at a huge cost. Many Triarii had lost their lives and it took 50 cycles before even a fraction of that population was restored.

Unable to cope with the thought of such losses again, the Triarii constructed a huge and effective millitary fleet. Their advanced technology was incorperated into each one, including their new weaponry.
After two years of the Great War, the Draconians attacked and destroyed the Aetherii Remenant as it seemed the Triarian Collective were about to enter the war and the Aetherii Remenant posed the problem that the Triarian Collective might get even more advanced technology. The Triarian Collective, filled with rage, sent a message to the Draconian Empire
"This is not war, this is pest control! You are superior in one respect, you are better at dying!"
The Collective quickly joined the fray, mobolising their entire fleets. Asteroids filled with Corruptelae Insectum were flung at Draconian Space, some managing to slip past Draconian defences and infest entire worlds, killing indiscriminately. As soon as the Triarian Collective were able to lower the defence grid of a planet, Energy Projectors were used to burn the planet to glass. Any captive Draconians were quite literally used for parts, being used to build Synths. Civilians made up the bulk of captive Draconians, men, women and children.
After the Destruction of the Draconian Empire, genocide by the Triarian Collective ensured that the Draconian race was sent into extinction and any surviving Draconians are hunted down by Triarian Ghost and Spectre forces, and any Draconian found was sentenced and summarily executed. Spectre and Ghost became the nightmares of Draconians, capture often involving undue force that would cause extreme pain. Often, execution would be performed through the most brutal means the Collective could find. Females were restrained against rocks in hive worlds and infected by Corruptelae Insectum and Males would have their minds destroyed through Psionics and their bodies then taken to be genetically repurposed. The Children were killed and turned into food to be fed to the troops. If the Draconians were lucky, they would be simply shot by their captors, but this was much rarer than the more elaborate former punishments
During the Universal War, the Collective inadvertantly collided the Primary Universe with the Secondary Universe as a result of the usage of a new piece of technology in an attempt to end the Universal War. This result in many storms erupting across the universe which have completely destroyed an unknown number of sentient species. In addition, this rendered the traditional means of Collective inter-galactic travel completely impossible, and standard travel across the galaxies implausible due to the dangers arising from 'tears', holes in space time where the Primary and Secondary universes have collided. Another effect, coupled with the effects of the Universal War, was the near complete destruction of most extra-galactic holdings across the universe. The storms disolved quickly in the milky way, but not before devastating entire planets and wiping out many different lifeforms across the galaxy. The effects of this collision are estimated to last a further 500,000 years These tears weakened not just the barrier between the primary and secondary universes, but other universes as well, and this allowed for the arrival of more extra universal entities
In short, the Collective caused a universal apocalypse in their attempts to end another universal apocalypse.
As a result of this, the Collective could not reach it's extra-Galactic holdings, and as such they fell one by one as their defences failed and no reinforcements came from other galaxies. They were picked off one by one. The Collective was locked in a losing battle for many, many years. Tens of millennia passed before the tide finally turned. Armed with a refinement of the piece of technology that caused the Universal Cataclysm Disaster, finally perfected after many Triarian Lifetimes of work (Thousands of years) they were able to destroy the extra-universal threat and finally 'reclaim' their own universe. And what was left of the Collective, drastically reduced in size, man power etcetera, stood upon an island of corpses in a sea of blood. Although brutally beaten, they had held.
For the first time in living memory the section 'The Greater Good Prevails' was played. But there was no celebration. Everywhere one looked they would see death, they would see decay. Everyone had lost multiple family members and many had known only war. As such it was branded the single most horrific war in Collective History. After the war, a recording of the traditional Umbrae Populus song, Dium'zul, became the number one played audio track within the Collective and remained so for many cycles.
"Dweade a doi e'tol
Mi dium ond zia.

Diwethaf'wym soli'un nod ywr
url'kise gaefa troi at card iar

Dweade a doi e'tol
No'l Card'aid bachk er soli'on rro nod ywr
Mi dium ond zai
Hurl'wym er pam gollais aid"
With the destruction of the homeworlds of many of their Extra-Galactic client races, the Collective was forced to reallocate former Habitat worlds for cultural reasons, and the massive terraforming attempts to make the planets seem closest to home took massive amounts of the few remaining resources. Approximately one point two cycles after the end of the Universal War and the elimination of (known) Extra-universal life from Universe 1, the Triarian Collective dropped the former part of it's title, declaring it's self merely 'The Collective'.
Having focused primarily inwards and little on locating new species as they once did, they have no idea that the other species they previously knew of have survived, and many don't even know they exist... such is what happens when you have gone without any real contact for 50,000 years. The Collective forces self-proclaimed themselves the 'Guardians' or the 'Sentinels', and the Collective it's self prides it's self on being one of the oldest known continous bodies in the Universe... as it turns out, having survived the Universal War inflated their planet sized ego to the size of a star, paticularly with the Triarii.

Name of nation:Equestrian Empire
Species: Ponies(Sub-types being alicorn, unicorn, pegasus, earth pony, and the lesser known bat-pony), Griffons, Dragons, Zebras, Buffalo, and Selkath)

Ponies are the most notable of all races in the Equestrian Empire. They lead Equiis prior to there space-age into glory, there scientists and philosophers becoming some of the best known to all equestrian races. They are divided into 4 different sub-types. The first are the Alicorns, only 4 exist. The Alicorns act as the leaders of the Equestrian Empire, and relieve there status for doing a great deed for the Empire. They are a combination of the Unicorn, Pegasus, and Earth Pony, giving them the abilities of all 3. The next on the list is the Unicorn, which are currently the only ones in Equestria who can directly tap into magic. They often act as scholars and scientists, but this does not mean the other sub-types can't be scientists, the unicorns just have more of them becoming scientists. The next are the Pegasi, with the abilities of flight and can manipulate the weather. Some Pegasi have been known to be able to fly beyond the speed of sound, creating a destructive force known as the Sonic Rainboom. The next one is the Earth Pony. They are the strongest of all the sub-types, and have a naturual affinity to plants and animals, making them great farmers. The final sub-type is the bat-pony, a close cousin to the pegasi. While not being as fast as the pegasi they are a lot more stealthy and are granted super hearing. They also exclusively make up the Lunar Guard.

Griffons are often hailed as the warriors of the Equestrian Empire. They tend to be loyal and honest, and often have a naturual combat prowess that no other species in the Equestrian Empire can match. They have sharp claws, and while they can fly it tends to be very slow and only at short distances. The color of there feathers tends to stay more to darker colors, unlike the ponies who coats color can be anywhere in the spectrum.

Dragons are one of the most dangerous races in the Equestrian Empire. While there size varies most tend to reach the size of a small shed, with the biggest being able to shake whole mountains with there snoring and cover cities with smoke. They are also heralded for some of the unique substances, one of which is Dragon Fire, a very destructive force.

Zebras, while not seeming to have anything special to give actually do have a important purpose. They are excellent and making alchemical potions and substances, and have great martial arts abilities. They also tend to be more secretive then the other Equestrian Races, and haven't spread out as much as the other races have.

Buffalo are the last Equestrian of the Equestrian Races within the Equestrian Empire. They have extreme strength, even more so then Earth Ponies. They are also one of the lowest populated races across the Empire, having it took them a while to ascend from a tribal stage to a city stage.

Selkath are the only non-equestrian race in the Equestrian Empire. They can survive underwater for hours on end, and are excellent swimmers. They also have the unique status of most Selkath being apart of the Republic of Selkath, which the central Equestrian Government labels as a "Autonomous Region of the Equestrian Empire". The Selkath Republic borders on being a nation that is a puppet/satellite state of the Equestrian Empire.

Description of government:

Princesses: The Princesses are Alicorns, a mixture of all 3 types of ponies, and are at the highest level of the Equestrian Government. There word is law, and they gain the ability to become alicorn and the title of Princess through greet deeds that help the Equestrian Empire. They are usually kind and forgiving and due what is best for there Empire.

High Council: The High Council is made up of one representative, with the exception of the Selkath due to there special status, from each race within the Empire and the method of how they are chosen is up to the race when they initially join. They help make decisions and often act as advisers and managers of individual sections of the Equestrian Empire. They also act as the heads of the Individual Species Councils.

Individual Species Councils:These councils deal with matters related to there species and usually assist in the governance of individual planets. There is a council for every species that is apart of the Equestrian Empire, with the individual on the high council acting as it head. These councils also deal with legal matters that aren't delegated to the High Council or Princesses. They way council members for there individual councils is chosen is decided by the species.

Low Council:The Low council is made up of representatives from various planets. They usually take in Civil suits and let the individual Species councils, or a court chosen by the High Council deal with criminal suits. They help choose police officers and other public officials for there planet, and usually receive votes to decide on laws for the Equestrian Empire.

Governors of Individual Planets:How the Governor of each planet is chosen varies, but there powers do not. They make sure public officials are doing there job and help organize and manage there planets. Some, but not all Governors also have a seat on the Low Council, this is mainly due to a desire for many to seek out to help there planets more.

Description of military: The Equestrian Military prefers Defense over Offense, there military command lines even saying a good Defense is a good Offense. They rarely ever go on the offensive, unless there recapturing a position. Even if they do go on the offensive there tactics focus on being mobile and exhausting the enemy. Planetary assaults often have them capturing then reinforcing there positions before they move onto the next. Ground Forces mostly consist of projectile and explosive weapons, with Space Forces also using energy weapons. Synths and augmented soldiers are also employed.

History:Modern Equestrian history begins with the event known as the Unification Pact, following the 2nd Changeling War. It unified all of the Equestrian species into one nation, the Equestrian Empire, under the Monarchy of the 4 Princesses. The new unified species quickly saw growth, already fueled by the new technologies that had come from the Industrial Era. It wasn't long before the Equestrians had flying machines, and not long before they were launching shuttles to the moon and probes to explore there solar system. It was the dawn of a Golden Age for the New Empire.

The Equestrians soon launched a colony ship as the space age dawned. It lacked FTL, and had very thick plating, it however colonized a Taris, another world within the Equestrians Home System. The colony prospered, bringing new resources and discoveries back to Equiis. Equestrians everywhere began looking towards space, a burning desire to spread across it, and meet new life, bring peace to it.

It was the Birth of Duck de Steelhorn that brought about the dawn of the interstellar age. A brilliant scientists and mage, he discovered Nuclear Fusion, and built the first Fusion Reactor, along with the more well known Manafusion Reactor, which allowed the creation of mana for ships and devices that used it. His research onto the 3 magical dimensions allowed for the construction of the first FTL drive, the MDA(Magical Dimension Accelerator). He quickly rose to the rank of High Archmage, and became the magical adviser to the 4 Princesses.

The Interstellar Age also brought about new technology. Cybernetics and Genetic augmentation, use of anti-matter, synth processes. They soon met the Selkath, a race that was in the Space Age. The Equestrians and the Selkath had much alike, and while the Selkath did not fully integrate, they joined the Equestrian Empire with there current special status as a autonomous region, being able to reject some nation law and having more governing authority over there lands, just without representation on the High and Low Councils.

The soon discovered Dark Energy and now have basic research onto it and employ the expensive reactors in a few locations. They currently control 15 Planets, and are seeking to discover others. While there military is small, they are not easily invaded, each planet being reinforced till its a fortress.

Darkwolf and Duck are accepted!

My app (Normal one due to the amount of stuff that has changed)
Name of nation: Lakfakalle Cooperative Federation (LCF)
Species: Delphan (Blue skinned humanoids with antennae, psychic and highly intelligent. Heavy genetic relation to the Loroi, speculated with humans) Human (Same races as today, speculated relation with the Loroi and Delphan), Abh (Same skin color range as humans, large pointed ears that stick out from the head and blue hair. Just barely considered separate from the humans, and thus genetic relation is speculated with the Loroi and Delphan), Dolphin (Yep, Dolphins, aquatic species split into 42 clans, genetic relation with the humans), Trilianthisk'Han (Sometimes called Boskops, extremely similar to the humans, but with a frail body and much larger head. Genetic relation with humans) Ethra'Hirel (Tripedal reptilians, genetic relation with Trilianthisk'Han), Loroi (Blue skinned humanoids with pointed ears that stay closer to the head than those of the Abh, mostly female species with high reproductive and maturity rates, heavy genetic relation with the Delphans)
Description of government: The Government of the LCF is democratic, with a council made up of a fluctuating number of members being elected every year with no term limit for its members. There is a President, but s/he has the same influence as any other council member and is mainly a figurehead for international diplomacy. There are multiple factions within the Federation, all of which have
Description of military: The LCF military is small, and there is only one weaponized ship capable of interstellar travel. They have planetary patrol vessels, but not much else. They have a heavy focus on automated defense, on the ground they have semi-sentient AI turrets armed with machine guns. Their mobile ground forces are composed almost entirely of armored vehicles, but there are still a significant number of infantry troops for combat in close areas. Instead of putting defense platforms in orbit of their planets, they use ground-to-space missiles and railguns. However, there are multiple ancient orbital defense platforms left over by the AIF that have been reactivated. The Air Force is essentially the exact same as a 21st century one, and is quite average. The Navy is somewhat of an oddity, being entirely submarine and having some Dolphin infantry divisions. Lakfakalle is protected by a huge planetary shield that requires a specifically modulated weak laser beam to pass through, making rocket launches even more precise than if the shield was non-existent.
History: The LCF is a remnant of the Allied Interstellar Federation, when the Universal Cataclysm occurred all other AIF worlds were ruined aside from Lakfakalle due to its remote position and highly effective shield defenses. The history of the universe has become myth, and some religions worship mythical nations like gods. The LCF has taken control of old AIF constructions, but has so far been unable to replicate the technology. Before history became myth, they sent out the few starships they had to reestablish contact with the other nations, but none of them ever came back, having been destroyed by storms and hostile vessels. The history of the planet is incredibly peaceful, the LCF having been founded about 15,000 years ago. There were internal struggles and a few rebellions, but for the most part it has remained incredibly stable with a painfully dull history with few occurrences worth mentioning. The antimatter engine has been used for centuries as a method of interplanetary travel, but has never been used for interstellar travel as it would take far too long to get to the nearest star (Which is 40 light years away). Recently, Fairlan Miklan (Pronounced Fai-len Mee-clan), a Delphan scientist and politician, invented 'Warp Drive": An FTL engine that warps space around a vessel using negative energy, allowing it to trale at speeds that appear to be faster than light. The first vessel using this engine has been completed, and is preparing to depart for the closest star.
Other (Culture and the like): Not much, culture is going to be shown in roleplay because there are seven species every one of which has its own culture.
Sorry for the horrible history, couldn't come up with many interesting things.

Accepted!

Hold on, before I make an application I have a question. I am making a new Hach species that looks for the remnants of the ZP. Would it be okay to say I have already enslaved/killed off several races at this point to make it look like they've been doing this for awhile now, and how much is too OP military, and planet count wise.

I'd say yes, its been 50,000+ Years and many species were either completely destroyed or relegated several hundred years in tech. Thus, it isn't implausible someone showed up and kicked their arses

I'd say a dozen or two dozen at most and a few hundred ships, we will get to the hundreds of planets and a thousand ships later. The idea is that everything has a value, so we cant just throw away massive fleets or just abandon planets for no reason. A blow will actually hurt us instead of being "Ah! But I call up my six billion large reserve fleet and crush you!"

Okay i will need some time to put the whole thing here....i will also tone down their military because if ya'll were just getting into space flight and attacked them right now they'd kill every ship that attacked them. (Not being God mod but that is what stage i have them at.)
