[IC] Circus of Freaks

Kumo practiced her flute. Playing the tunes that she would in he show. The music didn't mean jack to the spider but it made the show more exciting. Especially the parts in her songs that had pauses. It made it seem like the song was over and the spider would attack. Great for drama and suspense.

"Your pretty good at that there flute, Kumo." Vindle said as he took off his mask. He always started talking differently with the mask off; more casually and less harsh and mysterious.

Kumo stopped playing, "Thinks,"

Suko walked over and pulled out a flute identical to Kumo's. She began playing as soon as Kumo stopped, picking right up on the song. They often did this, as soon as one stopped the other would pick right up.

Bobo the Clown crawled out from the shadows of the Circus. He liked to stay in his Fearful form whenever he wasn't around pedestrians, then he'd change to his Unfearful form. He walked along through and went to where the others were, going up to where Kumo and Suko were playing their flutes. He sta on the floor and changed to his Unfearful form, and pulled out a flute identical to Kumo and Suko's, and began playing in harmony with Suko.

Chey nodded and smiled a bit when Tod said some people should keep their opinions to themselves, but her eyes widened in horror like they always did when he spoke of such morbid things as seeing what Finn looked like from the inside out. She wanted to scold him for dissecting people, or even thinking about it, but well what was the use? It was who he was. So she simply shook her head with a disapproving smirk. ”Grigori would have your head if you tried to peek behind any of our skins, Tod,” she said, knowing full well how Tod wasn’t allowed to harm the other acts.

Kumo unlatched the lock on Sugo, the spider's, cage. The spider crawled out and began to weave webs all over Kumo. this was one of her more daring and dramatic tricks. The spider would weave webs across Kumo's face. Suko played the flute while Kumo let the spider crawl over her. Whenever the song would pause Kumo would let the spider act more wild until the song continued.

The shade of red that came to Adrien's face after Cici brushed against his arm could easily be compared to that of a ripe tomato. His body also stiffened and he fidgeted with his hat, turning it over in his hands. This was a normal sight for the others whenever one of the girls decided to talk to Adrien.

"You are quite right, m'lady." Grigori appeared behind Chey as he watched the others continue their individual acts. "Tod's head would go well on a mantle." He laughed, nudging the doctor's side. He looked towards Chey. "I hope you aren't bothered by the boys. I mean, they are boys." He chuckled in a charismatic way. "I've always admired your tattoos."

"Oh wow, that hurt." Vindle said jokingly in response to Grigori. He went back to watching Kumo's and Suko's act.

Priscilla through her head back in a laugh as she watched Adrien's face beat red. "A new part of your act Adrien?" she teased, she knew how badly he reacted when women were involved. Cici however took pleasure it pushing his buttons. Though admittedly the brush against him was an accident. Knocking the burnt part of her cigarette off with a flick of her fingers she turned her attention to the small act that was performing right in front of them. Cici had always been fascinated by the two, either the little girl was possessed by something or she was truly the grand master of illusions. Bobo quickly joined in with the two making it quite the show to see. The woman clapped using her two fingers against her palm "Brava!" she called, grinning as the very young girl's performance techniques.

Kumo lifted Sugo off her face and returned the spider to it's cage. She then stood up with Suko and quickly ate the web knit over her face, something she liked to do for fun, and both of the girls did little bows.

[Whirlwind]

Chey jumped slightly when a voice appeared behind her, smiling when she turned around to see their ring leader. When he asked if she was bothered by the comments she turned just a hair red and shook her head. ”It caught me off guard. I’m fine now, thank you. I think we’ve all heard much worse. And like you said, they are simply young,” she said, honestly feeling better. It was true the worst comments she’d ever gotten followed age. The younger, the seemingly more harsh unless they were too little for their parents to have indoctrinated them with how to judge others. Like once a three year old girl came up and told her how pretty her skin was, like a painting. It had been the sweetest thing.

Tod broke out of his daydreaming when Grigori nudged him, "Huh?" He took a second to recollect what they were talking about and chuckled a bit, "Well, you don't have to be worried about me dissecting any of you, I do have some self control." He smiled warmly at the both of them.

Finn listened to the other come to the defence of Chey, and when Tod talked about keeping their opinions to themselves he glared at him and got in his face

"You got something else to say Tod? Because I will punch you in the face if you try to tell me what to do" he said with growl showing off his fangs.

Tod looked over at Finn with an unimpressed and bored expression, "I'm sorry, did you say something? I was just over here talking with the Chey and The Ringmaster." He yawned as he turned away from Finn, now totally ignoring him and turning his attention to Chey, "So how are you doing on your act? It looked quite interesting... Well, until I of coarse started thinking about the insides of my fellow freaks."

Of course, James seemed very pissed off right now, well, actually, he'd been pissed off ever since he heard Finn say something about how God wouldn't approve of Chey's tattoos. He hated hearing about anything involving God. He had been thinking about it this whole time, and now he was so pissed off that the tightrope, which he was laying on, caught fire, but the fire was so hot because of his temper, that instead of burning the tightrope, it burnt the air around it.

Adrien's shade of red became even darker do to Cici's comment. He looked down at his shoes and quickly shook his head no to answer her, though she had already looked away.

Finn smelled the smoke from Priscilla's cigarette and he wrinkled his noise in disgust.

"I don't I need to tell you Priscilla for you to know that smoking is very unhealthy and kills your lungs," he said to her as he rubbed his nose in an attempt to keep the smell out of it. He then felt a surge of heat and noticed James creating fire while he was on a tightrope. Something must have gotten him in a bad mood, but Finn didn't really care to find out.

Grigori whistled loudly, almost enough to shatter the ear drums. He didn't speak until he had everyone's attention. "Now... I know everyone is so happy for our show tonight..." The sarcasm in his voice was clear. "...but if we don't all settle down, I just might have to cancel our show."
Betty quickly joined his side, standing tall. Grigori continues. "We are a family, and yes, families argue about their opinions or whatnot, but they also work together. We must all remember that. Right Finn? Grigori's eyebrows rose as he looked to the wolf boy. "Now please, let's go and eat in the ring." Grigori walked casually to his circus tent with Betty following close behind.

"You're right. You don't need to tell me." Cici laughed blowing smoke right into the boy's direction, "We're all dying sweetheart, might as well have some fun while we're living." she stated right before the ear shattering whistle of Grigori himself could be heard. Priscilla winced, you really could not ever get used to that whistle. Nodding in the general direction of the ring leader, Cici agreed. Though at times annoying, everyone here was her family- and she would do anything in her power to protect and care for them. "Let's grub." she announced in agreement, nudging Adrien with her elbow with a laugh while she flicked her cigarette down to the ground before walking under big top where the ring was located.
