[IC] Circus of Freaks

Adrien turned on his heels when he heard the whistle he was all too use to by this point. He nodded and reclaimed his usual warm smile as he listened to his ringleader, Grigori had always known just what to say to defuse a situation. He was just about to head to the big top with the others to eat, but he stopped when Cici nudged him. His whole body tensed and his normally pale face turned bright red again. He did follow after the others, but he kept his eyes pinned to the floor.

Finn made a facial expression of disgust at the lingering smell of smoke, and he was annoyed that his senses made it hard to get the smell out or his nose.

"I hate the smell of cigarette smoke," he said to himself more than the others. He headed over to the area where they would be eating and Finn hoped that there would be lots of meat.

Vindle went into a changing room to change into more casual clothes and came back out a few minutes later. The lingering smoke smell made Vindle cough.
"Dammit, who was smoking? Tattoos are one thing, but smoking is a whole other story; that smoke'll make my ena all unhealthy, not to mention my lungs." he said as he put on a sweatshirt to cover his skin.

Bobo got up and followed behind Grigori and Betty, going to wher ethey would eat. When they got to the place they would be eating, he immediately proceeded to shift into his fear form and start pulling out multiple sausages linked together out of his sleeve, all of the sausages screaming in agony and eternal torture as Bobo ate them, red sauce flowing out of the sauasges where he bit. He ate all 27 of the screaming and pained sausages and licked his lips. This was, of course, just an illusion. None of the other carnies would have been able to see it, because only people afraid of clowns could see that illusion. Everybody else would see what actually happen, him eating 27 sausages with sauce in them. This still didnot satisfy him, so he walked over to Finn. "May I eat you whole?" he asked.

Kumo and Suko followed the rest of the trope and began to eat.the food was good and the girls were hungry. Kumo occasionally slipped Sugo some food in her cage,

Tod jumped a bit at the ringleaders whistle, "God damn it Grigori, I will never get use to that whistle of yours." He chuckled slightly under he breath. He listened quietly to what Grigori had to say and agree wholeheartedly. Although he may not be able to handle them all the time, this was his family... He smiled slightly at the thought. After the Ringleader was done talking Tod walked over to a uninhabited part of the ring and sat down on the floor. He pulled out a pin and a tiny notepad from his Doctor's coat and began drawing what looked like organs and other parts of the human body.

Finn smiled in a sadistic manner at Bobo, showing his fangs and he transformed into his werewolf form which increased his size and maid him more wolf like. He gave him threatening growl.

"You can try, but i'll rip you into twenty different pieces the second you attempt to" he said in a deep growling type of voice. He held up his hand and showed off his huge claws that were as sharp as knives.

Chey smiled warmly back at Tod, stepping behind one of the cabinets used for the acts when Finn spoke up at Tod angrily. When Tod turned back and asked her about her act she stepped out again shyly and shook her head with a slight smile. His fascination with organs was so odd. ”It’s going well, I-“ she jumped when Grigori whistled, turning red and intertwining her fingers together to listen. She nodded as he asked them all to come eat, following the others with a gaze tilted downward but otherwise looking stoic. She ate a simple sandwich, crossing her ankles as she sat in the ring and ate quietly. She noticed her friend Cici again and waved to her with a smile before going back to eating.

Within the ring, there lay matts covered with various foods as well as a cardboard box in the corner with red leaking from the edges labelled 'meat'. Grigori watched as his freaks ate, not eating anything himself, since he never really seemed to eat in front of others, that is, if he ate at all. Betty sat beside Chey, stuffing down a couple grapes. Betty kept a close eye on Bobo and Finn, making sure no fights broke out.

Priscilla threw her head back, her jet black curls bouncing as her red lips parted into a cackle, "Guiltyyyy." she crowed, crinkling her nose and sniffing the air, "Oh man that shit IS, bad!" she exclaimed sarcastically grabbing one of the sandwiches from the pile, just barely catching Chey's friendly wave. She of course sat next to her and Betty, the women she could most relate to at the circus. To most people the sight of most of these people's idea of a 'good home cooked meal' would cause an instant gag. Luckily for Cici she got rid of that reflex quite awhile ago. Though, the smell and sight still was something to behold, she tried not to watch too much, as she didn't want to lose too much of an appetite.

Tod smelled the air and his eyes immediately shot to the cardboard box labeled "meat". He grinned as he got up and dragged the box over to where he was drawing. Tod looked into the box, sifting through the different things inside and with a satisfied hum he grabbed a peace of meat with his bare hands and ripped into it with his teeth. "Mmmm, Grigori sure knows how to find the best stuff." Since he only eats once a month, he savored every bite and took his time.

Finn saw the box of meat and he changed back into his normal form as he quickly went over to the food. He was slightly annoyed that Tod and everyone else had just started eating without saying grace, honestly, does anyone have any manners anymore? No matter, he would do it and Finn picked up a slice of meat and bowed his head in prayer.

"Thank you oh lord for this feast that you see before you, and I ask that you bless us in our times of need. Please forgive us for our sins and show us your great mercy. Amen" he said out loud. After he was finished, he bit into the meat and the taste of the flesh was great. After he finished his first piece, he ate more chunks of meat

Adrien managed to grab a sandwich and a glass of orange juice in the cluster everyone made to get food. He then simply laid his plate in front of himself, it floating in the air like it had been placed on a table. After that he took a seat on a invisible chair. He bowed his head in a silent prayer, smiling as he heard Finn give his, before he started to slowly eat his food.

Chey smiled at Betty and Cici when they came to sit by her, glad she wasn’t an outcast among outcasts at least. Because then who would she have? ”How are your acts coming?” she asked the two while eating, looking genuinely interested. ”I hope I can be entertaining enough,” she said. Of course she had plenty of tricks and talent, but she hardly thought she was the freakiest one among them. Some customers came for the circus tricks, some for the freaky people. She could only hope she made her family plenty of money at the show.

Bobo chuckled at Finn's empty threat and sat down at the table. Finn said a prayer to some God, but Bobo didn't care. He was still hungry, so he began eating a sandwich every second, for fifteen seconds. He was a hard-to-feed clown and didn't get full easily, so he just got up and walked up the side of the tent, and laid down on the roof, and fell asleep.

Betty smiled at Chey. "I don't have any balance, but my opening dance is as ready as it will ever be." She giggles to herself. "I wish I was as graceful as you Chey, Then I could really impress Grigori." She sighed contently, as she looked to the Ring Leader who was about to give another speech.

Grigori Stood on a stool so he stood tall above everyone. "I'm glad to say, that tonights show will have the largest audience we have ever entertained in the history of this circus." His eyebrows raised as his grin grew. "We must give our best performances, fill them with glamour and thrilling chills!" He chuckled as he threw his hands into the air. "After, we shall celebrate as a family." Grigori lifted his sleeve to check his wristwatch, looking up to his fellow freaks. "Showtime in a few hours. Let's get hoppin' everyone!"

"Oh shush, you're amazing!" Priscilla said to Chey encouraging her friend as she took a bite of her sandwich. Swallowing as Betty spoke Cici leaned in towards the girls towards Betty, whispering so the others couldn't hear, "I've seen how he looks at you Betty, if you're not impressing him, then there must be something else pitching the big top down there!" she giggled pulling back into a sitting upright position, before commenting about her own act. "I'm trying something new tonight. I've gotten this metal ball you know, it goes right past the teeth and down the throat, settling right around here" she started, pointing low on her body, "Sword comes next, it makes a cute dinging sound when it goes down." she wrinkled her nose with a grin.

Her attention then gave way to Grigori as he announced tonight's show. It definitely would be one of the bigger ones they have had recently, and for that Cici was excited and a bit nervous. The time announcement came not too long after, and Cici knew she needed some time to get primped up and everything sanitized before the show, so she dismissed herself. "I'll see you all in a bit" she called, flicking up the wrist in a short backhanded wave as she headed to her trailer to get ready.

Tod sat back after eating and burped lightly, "Hmmm, that is definitely going to satisfy me for this month." His attention was brought to the ringleader as he spoke. Tod tapped his chin, "I wonder if I could get a volunteer from the audience this time. I mean last time I did my act before, but if I could get a volunteer first..." He continued talking to himself about other things for his act. He spoke quickly and if someone listened in, they wouldn't be able to keep up with what he was saying. After a few minutes of that he pulled out a scalpel from one of his pockets and silently started at it for a while, he did this before every performance and it seemed to calm his nerves and get him mentally prepared.

Cheyenne blushed at Betty’s words, enjoying being called graceful. That was what her act should be. ”I can’t wait to see you dance, Betty,” she said with a gentle smile, glancing over to Cici and blushing even further red at her words. ”Cici!” Chey said, almost choking on her sandwich from giggling and just about the shade of a rose now from the girl’s words about Grigori and Betty. She was still giggling softly but listening as her friend described her sword swallowing trick. ”That will be fantastic,” Chey said, eyes sparkling. All her friends were so talented.

Her eyes flitted towards Grigori and listened intently, finishing off her meal and nodded, standing and brushing off her hands. ”I’m going to go practice on the trapeze girls. Good luck tonight!” she said happily. She practically skipped towards the ladder to reach the trapeze, black hair bouncing. She couldn’t wait for tonight to arrive.

Excited for the performance later, Kumo and Suko began to prepare. They began to polish their flutes and make sure the instruments were spotless.
