I literally made Meteora Ignis last night before I went to bed. Should've posted em earlier xD

I have other ideas though. Will have a basic character and some strains up within the next few hours.

Is this virus okay?

Name: Meteora Animalia
Strain: A
Powers: Gives the host animal like characteristics, nails grow sharp like claws, sharp fangs devlop, doesn't turn off but are not features do not hit extreme levels.
Strengths: Incredible agility and strength, good offensive capability.
Weaknesses: Animalistic urges can undermine human values, the host also becomes extremely aggressive at times.
Symptom changes: None that differ from the norm.

Strain: A

Powers: Gives the host the ability to manipulate metals such as Brass, Bronze and Iron in any way he sees fit.

Strengths: Metal great defensively and offensively.

Weaknesses: Cannot manipulate rusted,frozen of molten metal. Cannot create metal but can only manipulate it from existing sources.

Symptom changes: Extreme Rashes

I'd limit how you can manipulate metal, or the type of metal you can manipulate, and use the strains for different expansions to those abilities. Maybe the first one lets you move it around your skin (for metal armor) or accelerate it in one direction. Or to add types of metal you can manipulate, like an strain for aluminum or something.
Strength of it would be that metal it great defensively and offensively.

Well great minds think alike. I have edited the strains of Meteora Ignis and Meteora Dermal. I hope they are acceptable now, since I'm planning on using some of them for my character

Danny Coleman WIP

Meteora strains: Meteora Kreos A, Meteora Ignis A & B
Skills: Driving, Basic First Aid.
Backstory: Danny used to work as a cab driver until he got in a car accident, through no fault of his own. Luckily no one involved was fatally injured though Danny did need a blood transfusion. However unknown to anyone, the donor the blood came from had been infected. It was believed that Danny's flu symptoms were simply due to the stress weakening his immune system and they were quickly forgotten about when he recovered.

However a few days after he left the hospital Danny had accidentally created a tiny flame on his index finger while lightning his cigarette. When noticing it didn't hurt, he went on the Internet to figure out what was going on. After learning about the Meteora viruses, he went to a nearby government building. And after test showed he had the Kreos Strain Danny was accepted for second stage testing

Powers: By bending light around you, you can turn invisible
Strengths: Good for stealth.
Weaknesses: Because light no longer hits your eyes you're completely blind while invisible. Smell and sound can still be used to detect you.
Symptom changes: Temporary blindness

Back story: Adam used to own a bookstore in a small town where crime rarely happened, however after he was infected by a burglar who tried to grab cash out of the shop's register, he began to shy away from the public. Looking for a way to use his powers for good, Adam discovered the special task force, who's resposnsibility is to hunt those who use Meteora strains for evil purposes, through online research. Adam immediately applied
and is undegoing the second stage of recruitment where he hopes to learn how to control his power and benefit from it.

Powers: Blood Metabolism (Let's you metabolize blood, boosting red cell counts and hormone levels, including adrenaline, temporarily)
Strengths: You don't need to eat as long as there are animals around
Weaknesses: The more you drink, the more you crave it.
Symptom changes: Anemia

Just putting it out there.
And with Meteora Kreos, you could even take people's powers by feeding on them.

It's airborne, but tough to get that way. Bodily fluid transfer is the most direct and reliable way to do it.

I'd like a little more detail. How did you get infected? How did you join the UN's Kreos squadron (for lack of a better name). I'm going to edit mine and add that they informed the world that they were starting the group, and that I signed up for consideration on their website. They called me in for an interview and I was accepted for the second stage of testing, which is where we'll pick up the story.
