A Battlestar is efficient, built to take hits. No real weakness against the kind of attacks that it is built to withstand. Can take multiple nuke hits and doesn't have to worry about it.

I mean for one thing you can see where the command section is on your ship so it can easily be taken out.

Imperial void shields render that pointless. If you have a weapon strong enough to bust through the void shield, it doesn't matter how the fuck I design the ship, I'm dead.

Actually, those weapons that can kill the shit out of me? All over the place. In MY universe, shields as powerful as mine are fairly inconsequential. Nevermind the fact that it ain't easy to build Emperor class battleships, and no such shield technology exists for the footsloggers, hell even most of our elite troops (space marines) don't get shields.
