Arc stood there not giving any commands while her Electabuzz withstood the Quick Attack and Night Slash. The pokemon had been with her long enough to know what to do. It released its charged Thunderbolt after the Mega Absol backed away. Not giving its opponent any time to stand back up, the Electabuzz released another one and it struck the pokemon again.

Both Rivet and Ross were caught off-guard by the second Thunderbolt. Arc hadn't even used verbal command, it was as if the Pokemon just knew. And so, Rivet fell to the deck, shaking her head. Ross had imagined she was seeing stars by now and declared victory to Arc and her Electabuzz, before kneeling besides him partner and stroking her on the back, "You did well, Rivet. Please, rest." He looked up to Arc, "That was impressive. Where'd you learn to battle like that?"

Lasair's Growlithe was petrified of thunder and lightning so when he heard the moves being used on the deck upstairs it spooked him which ended up with Growlithe sitting on Lasairs chest biting his elbow to wake him up. Normally he would frown upon his Pokemon intentionally using attacks on him but he would give an exception this one time since he had a feeling he knew what happened since before he was awaken he had a dream of a thunderstorm. Lasair opened one eye so that he didn't knock his Pokemon off the bed went into his knapsack and pulled out a homemade treat and gave it to Growlithe and lifted him off his chest. Lasair could tell that they were almost near the destination since he could feel a change in the atmosphere. So he placed his Pokemon on the bed while he collected all his belongings from the floor and table. When he had everything he called for Growlithe to follow but he was still traumatized over the thunder and wouldn't move so Lasair picked him up and carried him out. When he got outside it was a decent day out in his opinion. He loved seeing people out on the deck the first time he had poked his head outside the only people out there were the boats crew which he really wasn't interested in. It was the people who had their Pokemon out with them which made his day since he was an animal Pokemon enthusiast and tamer. So it was to his delight when he walked out of his room and seen a Ponyta not to far from him. Not only was it a animal but it was also a fire type! Lasair had walked over as briskly as possible without startling the pony Pokemon since getting kicked or charred wasn't really the first that he wanted to encounter after waking up. Standing next to the Ponyta he seen a little Riolu soaking wet next to it slowly drying off from the warmth of the Ponyta, probably not a good idea to approach it since its trainer wasn't right next to it and didn't want to disturb the trainers across from him. But before he knew it he could feel the Growlithe in his arms start to squirm now that they were outdoors so he placed him on the ground. Which Lasair thought was a good idea since the room wasn't really big enough for him to run around in. **Don't go far please Growlithe, I don't want to lose you** Which was when he loosened his grip and let Growlithe bounce around, ohhhh what a youthful puppy he thought to himself.

Ponyta noticed the trainer and a Growlithe approach her, but fortunately weren't trying to get in her personal space. She was more interested in the Growlithe than the Human, and tried to get a good smell of it. As a fire type, she felt some kinship to other fire types, though not all fire types felt kinship with her. Ditto, in the form of Riolu, and Smeargle, both acknowledged the new trainer and his Growlithe with small interest.

"**Self-taught, I guess. I've been with my pokemon for quite a long time, especially Lecta here. They're used to my battling style, and they're trained well**," Arc replied, smiling as she walked to her Electabuzz, patting it. "**Jolt!**" "**Marr!**" her Jolteon and Mareep, who had been bystanders, trotted to her, making her look back at them. "**So anyway, is your Absol alright?,**" she questioned Ross.

Sam watched the battles, than heard what the girl said. "You are probably right. Some people here are impatient, and that is reflected on their pokemon." He saw the weird actions from the other Riolu, wich he almost mistook for his own, and the Skarmory, but remained cool. He than saw how the mega evolved Absol lost from the Electric trainer. "This proofs that good evolutions aren't everything." He said. He looked at the shore, and saw they would arive any moment now. "We are almost there. I can't whait to see what your strategy is." _And what you're going to do when you see mine..._ He thought soon after he said that.

Kite was relieved that his pokemon didn't kill anyone. It was a plausible thing since Skarmory didn't think too far ahead on the outcome it his stupid maneuver in only a few moments ago. "Return." Kite said as he held Skarmory's pokeball in its blind spot. Then his pokemon turned into a red aura and was pulled back into the contents of his pokeball. Then with a click the orb shrunk and fell back into Kite's pocket. "I'm sorry about that." Kite began to tell the trainer of the Riolu. "I don't think that either of our pokemon are in the condition to finish this fight. Let just call it a draw for now." Kite stated to this other trainer.

"She'll be fine, we've been through worse. Right, Rivet?" The Absol nodded before standing up, shaking herself off. He had always known her to be an especially resilient Pokemon and not even that, their bond was like nothing else. "She's still getting used to Mega Evolution. It's a bit harsh on Pokemon sometimes, so we use sparingly." Or at least that's what Ross deduced. Truthfully, he wasn't sure if it was true or not, but he hated seeing it used being without purpose, especially excessive, Mega Stone researcher or not. "That was a great battle, we should have a rematch sometime," the Absol nodded in agreement, "maybe if we run into each other again." He knew that was unlikely, considering Sinnoh was a massive region. Then again, the world was small, so maybe it wasn't as unlikely as he'd imagine. --- "Evolutions don't matter if you're a better trainer," the girl remarked, standing up from the railing. The water had become calmer on both her head and stomach, but she still craved solid ground and fresh air. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," she remarked to the strategy comment and was already aware what two Pokemon she was going to use. It was a shame that her Croagunk had yet to evolve, she wanted to use him in all of his fine Toxicroak glory. Before she could remark anything else (or another Pokemon battle begun) a beep was heard from the intercom and an announcement was made: _"We will be docking in Sandgem Town in the Sinnoh region momentarily. Please gather your belongings and make sure you left nothing behind. We hope you enjoyed riding the S.S Tidal Wave and thank you for your patronage."_ She looked back at the eager boy, "Well, look at that. Seems like you won't have to wait too much longer."

"A draw it is. It was kind of an unofficial battle anyway, I guess. If you want to know the truth, that's actually a Ditto. I'm a breeder, and focus on collecting and raising. I have a lot of info on pokemon, but haven't tried for the whole Gym challenge anywhere." "Yes. Home at last." Cody said, hearing the announcement. He was from Sinnoh, and had gone to a different region to gather new pokemon, but now he was home. "Alright guys. Stick together while I head to the cabin. Chansey, you're in charge." He said to his pokemon. Three of them were already together, and Chansey joined them at the bow. Chansey, being the caretaker, was usually Cody's second whenever they were out by themselves. They respected her as a matron, though she wasn't the most powerful among them. He returned to his room, double checking every item he had, and making sure he left the room tidy.

Jade sighed with relief, watching the little Riolu waddle off towards the Ponyta. Placing her feet firmly on the deck she shivered slightly at the chilling water dampening her shirt, a trail of Silv's dripping body left behind on the fabric. Mia and Blake, who had been left behind by their trainer's sudden movement, leisurely made their way toward the railing to join the others. "Breeder, huh?" Jade had much different problems with Breeders than she did Trainers, not liking one or the other particularly. Trainers caught Pokemon and used them to gain fame and fortune, but breeders were in it for the eggs. While much gentler, she still didn't like them very much. As the guy walked away, Jade eyed him up and down, determining that he didn't seem all that bad... yet. Turning to see how close shore was, Jade shrugged and pushed away from the wall. "Come on you three. We've got to finish packing everything up." Jade gave a slight wave good-bye to Kite before heading off towards the cabins herself, a Trapinch, Bagon and Dratini close on her heels.

Lasair had been listening partially to the two trainers conversations hearing that one had been a breeder made him remember the favour that his friend Blaine had done for him giving him an egg that had come from his Growlithe so that he would always to personally remember him by during his journey. So rather than just to be sitting around alone he decided to have a little bit of interactions before departing the ship. ** I don't mean to be an eavesdropper but I overheard you talking about being a breeder, my Growlithe had just hatched from an egg recently. It took so long that I never thought that I would get to see him. Since he just hatched would that be a possible reason that he is scared of Thunder? ** The truth was that the egg that Lasair had containing his Growlithe had just hatched right before he got on SS Tidal Wave to start this leg of his journey, which was why he thought that it might just be a phase that he is afraid of thunder but since he was near a breeder that he would take a moment to pick his brain, in case he ever wanted to be Growlithe against a thun..der type Pokemon.

"Many dog-like pokemon are afraid of thunder, from what I've heard. I'm not sure why. As you can see, I'm just a kid, so I'm no scholar of pokemon personalities and thoughts. Not that I don't plan to be eventually. That's what raising pokemon is about." Cody said. "You might want to find an Electrike to hang around Growlithe, so he can associate electricity with a good thing. Just don't put it in a battle with an electric pokemon before it's ready."

Kite left in agreement with the Riolu or Ditto trainer as it was. He held no qualms or argue-mental feelings towards the guy. It was just a misunderstanding that was mostly Kite's fault. Thinking that Kite walked off of the S.S. Tidal and walked straight into Sandgem town. It was a nice place. Well every other trainer went to look for lodging that night he immediately headed for the market. Kite stocked up on his items and then left Sandgem town to the west. With Pidgeotto flying above him and Swablu and Wingull on each shoulder the rookie trainer thought it would be the best thing if he gained as much ground as possible so he could move on. "Come on out Skar." He called. As he let his Skarmory out of its pokeball. Kite pulled out some rags and poured some cleaner onto it. "This will help prevent rust and decay,Skar." Kite said as he started to rub its wings. At first his pokemon started to resist and pull away. "I know your not happy with me but I don't like losing and I've noticed neither do you." The trainer said to his pokemon with a fierce look in his eyes. "I'm going to do everything in my power to put you in top fighting condition. Winning or losing is going to be completely up to you." Kite said in a scolding look. With that Skarmory let his trainer rub the cleaner along its entire body.

Cody entered Sandgem Town, and took it in. With grass under her feet at last, Ponyta ran free and happy through the street. "Finally back in good old Sinnoh." He said. "So is this where we go our separate ways? Kite seems to think so." He said to Lasair. "What do you plan to do?"

Lasair had seen that the other trainer had let his Ponyta roam the streets since it had been confined to that little deck so he thought that he would let his Growlithe follow him. However since he did know that he was still young from hatching he decided that he would have Fletchinder keep an eye out for him. So he let his Growlithe down on the ground and allowed him to go while two seconds later he popped out the Pokemon from its ball. ** Fletch please make sure Growl doesn't get into any trouble** Lasair had heard the other trainer speak to him and responded; ** That is a really good question, I don't really know this region well since this is my first time being here. I was looking for a new region to explore so I decided to come here. I might go meet some person called Professor Ronald ... Or was it Ronda ... Err I remember now! It was Professor Rowan, my friend is a close friend to him so I thought I drop off a gift to him since I was here and before I forget of course ** Lasair had to put on his sunglasses since he every time before Cody's Ponyta would round a turn he would see the anticipation of his fire that radiated from his body. It was funny watching Growlithe running behind Ponyta since he would never catch him (unless Ponyta would let him but it never stopped him from trying) ** After I see Rowan I might stop at the PokeMart and see if they have any region maps and make plans from there. By the way I don't think I introduced myself. My name is Lasair Onchu** He gave a friendly smile and extended his hand.

Ponyta played with Growlithe when she noticed she was being followed. She'd run up to him, and run away, and paw at him with her hoof. She wouldn't let him jump on her, but she was happy to have a playmate. "Professor Rowan, yes. Like all professors, he's rather esteemed, and he's very active in his age. I guess I should check in on him too, and show him the new pokemon from other regions. I went to Hoenn. It's very warm there. My name is Cody Streetman, from Solaceon. I'll be heading back there at one point to see Mom again. I may be 11 already, but I still miss her."

Sam got off the boat at the same time as the girl he was talking to earlier. "So I need to reserve a room at the pokecenter for the night, but after that we can have a battle at the nearest battle area." He said to her. His Riolu was in his arms, but it was still looking at the Lucario. Sam knew Riolu had no chance against whatever pokemon she was going to use, so he would use other pokemon. His mind was already set on which ones it would be. He started walking in the direction of the pokemon center, expecting the girl to follow him. He was okay with it if she didn't, as she might have other plans already, although he hoped for her to follow, so he could have the battle as quickly as possible.

Jade calmly packed and shouldered her bags, leading a parade of excited pokemon up to the deck. Just as she stepped outside, the ship pulled up to the dock and began allowing people to disembark, a content sigh escaping the Ranger's lungs. "Finally, I was beginning to think we'd never get off this thing." Her comment earned a couple of chuckles from her followers, the three Dragon-types (or future type in Mia's case) keeping close to the heels of their trainer. Each step that brought Jade closer to solid land widened the smile on her face, the girl beaming with joy by the time she stepped onto the path. Stepping aside, Jade withdrew her final pokeball, clicking the button to release her closest friend. The bright light grew to a massive size, a Charizard emerging with a more than intimidating roar. "Oh I'm sorry buddy. Did I wake you from a nap? I thought you might like to stretch your legs now that we're here." Leo shot her an annoyed look that lasted no longer than a few seconds before nudging his human fondly. "Well come on. Let's go exploring a bit." The three smaller pokemon climbed onto the Charizard's back beside Jade, who inched her way up to get a better view of her surroundings. "Where to start..." She chewed her lip in thought, surveying the town before her for anything that caught her eye.

After Kite finished putting away the clothes he washed in a stream he looked at his cleaned Skarmory. "Better?" His pokemon looked away. It seemed to Kite like Skar just didn't want to admit it was happy. Then Kite took a look around and he saw Swab and in were playing in the trees but Pidg wasn't anywhere to be found. "Hey guys did you see where Pidgeotto went?" He asked his pokemon playing. Then both of his pokemon looked around in complete confusion. "So you didn't see which way it went either." He said in disappointment. Over by Sandgem Town Pidgeotto wandered off because it was hungry. When Pidgotto flew to the town its first thought was to find a good meal. It started by flying towards a family having a picnic. "Pidgeee!" It cries but the father started to lift up the basket as if it was about to strike the pokemon. Pidg backed off and then wandered over to a produce market. The pokemon began to hound the various stand owners asking for food but all they would do is shoo it away. That left Pidgeotto win a sad look on its face.

Diego walked onto the deck of the ship, having gotten his bags. He walked over to the railing, Eevee and Lombre on his heels. Sure enough Sharpedo and Skrelp had made it just fine. They looked up at him expectantly out of the water, Sharpedo impatiently swimming around in circles. With a laugh, Diego recalled the two to their Pokeballs. Lombre tugged at the leg of his shorts, gesturing to its stomach. Diego's own stomach growled, reminding him how hungry he was. He nodded and recalled Eevee and Lombre in a flash of red light. As he made his way off the boat, a breeze blew making him feel the cold on his bare arms. He certainly wasn't in Hoenn anymore. He pulled out a bright green hoodie and put it on over his black tank not bothering to zip it up as it wasn't THAT chilly. He went into Sandgem Town making a mental note of the location of the Pokemon center for later. He then wandered over to a produce market. Releasing Eevee and Lombre once more he asked, "All right, so what sounds good?" With a loud "Veeeee!" Eevee bounded over to one particular stand of berries. Diego looked down at Lombre who merely shrugged. "I guess Eevee decided for us then, huh?" he said with a laugh. The two followed Eevee and bought an assortment of berries and continued on to search for a stand for more food to last them until the next town. Diego wasn't quite sure where they were going but he figured they'd get some idea before the next morning. "Get out of here! Go on! These aren't for you!" They turned to see a Pidgeotto being chased away from a stand. Eevee grabbed a berry out of the handful that Lombred had been carrying and ran over to the bird Pokemon offering it the berry. "Eeveer come back!" Diego called, "You don't even know if that Pidgeotto is friendly!" Luckily it was friendly enough and the Eevee has soon set the berry down before it. "Where'd you come from? Wild Pokemon don't usually act like this. Where's you trainer?"
