[OOC] Heroes of Beacon - the Next Chapter

I wonder if getting a bunch of throwing knives is considered a minor or major armory upgrade. They'll all be able to channel Jack's "Lightning Rod" special ability, so that he doesn't always have to wait for the right situation and environment.

Then there's also I'm considering some kind of upgrade for his semblance. I call it the Railgun, where he can charge the impact of his next semblance dash, allowing him to do insane damage, and extend the range based on how long he charges, allowing him to snipe and assassinate.

With all these talks about changing outfits and weapons I feel the need to mention that I've been really considering my semblance, the more I think about it the more I don't like it. :(

I've been thinking about giving Oswald's Semblance a power boost. Namely, doubling the range. It'd be greaaatttt.

I've also been thinking about a bunch of other upgrades, but most of them get tossed for one reason or another. Still debating getting a set of dust-powered jets to give Oswald some increased burst mobility.

It depends on fighting style. Ruby possesses a semblance that's both powerful and flashy, so you often see her use it only for really flashy finales. Weiss' is a more versatile and simpler one, that allows her to use it almost constantly, and Yang's semblance is passive, while Blake uses hers as a utility.

The main team already gives you four different ways you can make a semblance. Jack falls into Blake's category, but the upgrade I'm thinking of can double it as Ruby's category too.

@Eklispe, I think you just limited your Semblance a little much but that's it, it's actually pretty okay considering your character. Imagine doing a diving kick with hugely buffed gravity? The impact would be insane. Several seconds at a time is plenty when you consider how quick a kick can pass. Even in straight combat, you can give some of your blows defense-breaking properties with it, and you can even use the gravity to extend your jumps, or make yourself fall faster, or slower, you can lock someone down with it too. Gravity is pretty strong if you know how to use it.

I just like, it's too easy to use. Like it can be too powerful many different ways. I'm conflicted with the limits I put on it between being too strong and too weak. Eh, idk, technically haven't had much of a chance to use it yet so I guess I'll use it some before considering more what to do with it.

You can limit affecting the gravity on people to touch. That way you need to get to them before you can lock them down.

You can affect gravity around you to affect only you, ensuring you still get all the benefits that come with it.

I am not going to be able to make the deadline guys, I'm sorry. Yesterday and the day before I had internship where I have to rise at 5, then I got dragged off to watch my brother's graduation ceremony. I will be able to get one post out today but that won't be enough to get the mission done I think. I'll leave what I had so far in the collab doc, you guys might be able to work something out but this deadline is too close for me to do a thing with it.

To top it all off I have a camp to run next Sunday till the Sunday after that which will slow me down significantly. I might be able to get something out on Tuesday, and possibly the two days after that because I still got to get to my internship in the middle of camp, with some time to get on a computer and write.

Staying up till 23:30 after getting up at 5 and then working in a metal shop during the hottest day on national record is a bit tiresome (I wish I was kidding). Skyping about this shit later.

Shower

Warm. A ray of light lit the world. When the moon sleeps, the sun shines. Puffs of clouds occasionally passed by the skies and would block the strong, powerful rays the sun brought. Many saw the sun as a source of life, and many believed it protected them. And she knew that the sun was both a source of life and a figure of inspiration.

The sun brought a peaceful warmth.

Underneath a house of tatami and thin wooden walls lay a small waterfall that led to a flowing river. She remembered swimming down the river. Crystalline water flowed endlessly, and it held a pureness that she herself did not have. Nature consumed her, and she consumed nature. A bond between two conflicting forces.

The water brought a natural pureness.

Her bare body sat under a light waterfall. Water trickled down from her long, silky hair to her fragile shoulders. Her eyes remained shut as she refused to stand from the rock that stuck out of the slow river before her. The white, pure water crashed against her body with a softness that permitted her to sit still, soothing her soul.

She refused to feel numb like she once did. So she sought out the feeling of serenity. A calmness that can keep herself alive.

A single hand rested upon one of her knees, her legs covered in a grey hakama used only when she either trained or meditated. Wraps of white bandages tightly hid the wounds on her chest. And her claw stuck out unnaturally and rested on her lap, begging to be purified.

She felt as if two hours had passed. But in truth, she sat for only five minutes, and she was not at a waterfall. She was at a school, standing within a shower room.

Sangue walked out of the shower, her eyes half-open and her movements lazy. It was a kind of laziness she enjoyed.

And she soon slept on her bed within two minutes, much to the amazement of her team leader.
