@Peace Keeper South Adara has largely been avoided by the Industrial Revolution and has generally been pretty insular as a whole. The average technology level is all over the place, but generally they do not have steam engines, jacketed rounds or repeating firearms, trains, or any of the other things that most nations in the north take for Granted.

I was thinking of a nomadic tribal people who used steampowered things to survive and end up on the top of the hierarchy thanks to these gifts, but now that you say that, I would guess such things is quite unrealistic. Whilst it would be nice to enlighten some /k/rippled hearts, I'm quite unsure as to ifI could play the role to its best. Granted, I could do some tinkering and fisdling to ensure things go my way in the end, one shouldn't start with their desired outcome from the start.

So I am curious. How will combat be done within the RP? Is it more a player-to-player decision with combat of course being RPed through and through. Or is it more of a GM decision based on the fielded troops?

My suggestion was that when forces meet, both parties send battle plans to the GM, who adjudicates based on the deployed forces and player-created tactics. This cycle would happen a few times, then combat would be resolved. Up to the GM tho.

Rex's method would certainly lower the amount of salt that would be spread, but the standard method allows for more...Cinematic flair I guess? Potential horrible hybrid could be me adjudicating then sending that through PMs so that people can make posts based on the results.
