DDS 2: Hunting Betrayal

Aery did indeed hear a cry of help. However, it was quickly replaced by a sound of a few gunshots, followed by a sickening thud as something, or someone, fell to the floor. "Tch, what a bore...they didn't even put up a good fight." As the voice speaks, footsteps could be heard approaching Aery and Charlie's current location. As the footsteps stopped, they would see a young, red haired, yellow eyed man in front of them. He pauses to straighten his tie before looking up and seeing the duo before him. "Well well, what luck. It seems I now have a way back. Then again..that all depends if you're willing to cooperate. If not...well, I have a feeling you already know what'll happen." He says. Knowing fully well that the people that stand before him are no pirates, he feels as if they're no threat whatsoever to him.

Aery shifts around nervously. "Umm... what just happened?" She asks softly. "I understand you killed someone, but... It's not logical. If you had truly desired a way back to the surface of the planet, I'm sure you could have... coerced... the man you just killed, to make him pilot you back. There was honestly no need for such waste of life." She forces her voice to take on a lofty, purely analytical tone, forces her spine to be rigid lest she shudder at what she's saying.

The man smirks. "For a human, that was quite an analysis...however, there are a few things you're forgetting. Hypothetically, if I had let him live and pilot the ship, who's to say he wouldn't have compromised us through a self-destruct sequence? Furthermore, this being a pirate ship, it would more than likely had been targeted and shot down by planetary defense mechanisms or simply raided by other rivaling pirates. In hindsight, he's better off dead. Also, if you wish to speak of a waste of life, what would you call what just happened to his crew-mates, hmm?" He responds, countering with his own theory on what might have gone wrong.

Aery bites her lip. "We've not actually done anything with them yet. They're still back there struggling against those wires." A choreographed look of shock passes across her face. "Goodness. Since it seems like we're not going to kill each other, yet, anyway, perhaps introductions are in order. I'm Aery. I don't have a surname. This is my friend Charlie. Similarly, no surname."
"My name is Antikythera Reluken." The Lilliputian girl zips in, hovering just over Aery's shoulder on her magnificent circuit-board wings.
Aery raises an eyebrow at her. The mini girl raises one back.
"Anyway, what's your name? And your occupation, since you are so clearly... In control... of this situation?"

he would raise an eyebrow at the man and get slightly annoyed "..what are you even doing here" he states.

All of these questions accompanied by Charlie's annoyed tone simply causes the man to chuckle, running his right hand through his hair, revealing what to some may seem like an abnormal tattoo on his right arm. "A human, Cybertronian, and a Lilliputian...what a ragtag group. The name's Hibatsu. Let's just say that I do what I can to get by. It was my job to hunt these imbeciles down. It seems you've made things easier for me...I have a proposal for you. Allow me to hitch a ride on your ship, and I'll cut you a portion of my paycheck. Judging by how pirates of this stature were able to board your ship so easily, it would seem it's in need of dire repair...whaddya say? Do we have a deal?" He inquires. Of course, if they were to decline his offer for whatever reason, it would be certain that this exchange would not end well.

Aery raises her eyebrows. "We need a more concrete deal than that. For one thing. The cargo and spare parts of this ship. What is to be done with them? Also, the other pirates. What will be done with them? And finally. And most importantly. How can we know we can trust you?"

Charlie nods "my partner makes a good point how about answering" he states, already sensing any tools and weapons on the man, and using his Nanites to disable them

"Tch..you're a human through and through alright. Always so inquisitive. No matter. I suppose I'll enlighten you further. Everything on this ship is in my possession. Ergo, if you were to assist me, I'm willing to give you a portion of what's aboard this vessel. The ship itself, however, as a part of my job, will have to be disposed of. In regards to the remaining pirates, my employer requires them to be dead. It seems I'll have to finish what you started. As for trusting me...only you can decide that. Nothing I say will be able to convince you otherwise. I'm more accustomed to settling matters with force anyhow...now then, if you'll excuse me, I have some pirates to kill.." With that being said, he simply walks past the trio, heading towards the remaining of the ship's crew. As Charlie searches for any sort of weapon or tool on Hibatsu, he realizes that the man has been unarmed this whole time.

"...well then to bad for you.. they'll already out of your reach" he states, as he has already sent them away on a life pod.. heading directly to a prison planet, "and your probably in worse location to threaten us" he says, as he has full control of their surroundings, prepared to defend them if need be, and more.

Aery raised her eyebrows. "Well, since we've got nothing better to do. We may have to tow our ship behind this one, however, since it was in rather rocky condition to start with and it did just get jostled pretty badly." She grins slightly. "So you search my comrade, simply because he looks dangerous, and neither me nor my diminutive assistant?" Not that he'd find anything. "That's biased if I've ever seen anything of the sort. Why do you search us, anyway, if we're going to be... allies?"

Hearing everything being said, Hibatsu just sighs, deciding at random to simply sit down and mull over everything that's being directed towards him. "I haven't done so much as breathe in your general direction. You'd seriously consider terminating my offer by threatening where I stand? You don't even know what I'm capable of, let alone my current occupation. If anyone is searching anyone, it's your pal Charlie. I could tell earlier from the look he was giving me that he was utilizing nanites to disable any weapon on my person. However, like I told you before, I prefer to let my fists do the talking in combat." He then shifts his calm amber gaze toward the Lilliputian. "Antikythera Reluken...tell me, from one alienoid species to another, do you deem me trustworthy? Have I done anything to get on the bad side of you or your friends yet?" He inquires, seeming that the Lilliputian's answer may influence him in some way.

Charlie would raise his eyebrow at Hibatsu then looks to his team mates then looks on his data pad as everything in the cargo appears in his data pad "..interesting stuff...... whats this.." he says as he starts walking deeper into the cargo bay.

The tiny girl tilts her head slightly, her wings fluttering. "If you'd have wanted to hurt us, we'd probably be bloodstains on the floor by now." she says, quite matter-of-factly. "I don't trust you, but I don't distrust you either. If that answer is too roundabout, then I'm sorry, but I'm a Lilliputian and that's how I've always talked."
Aery facepalms at the idiocy of all of the humanoid creatures surrounding her. "Please forgive my partner's harsh attitude. He's just irritated that someone else has more leverage in this situation than he does. And he has absolutely no diplomatic training whatsoever. We mean no threat, nor any harm to you. Where is your final destination? For if it is the same as ours, we'd be more than glad to bring you along with us." She shoots a warning glare in Charlie's direction.

"Thank you, Antikythera. I've worked with your kind before. Therefore, that was the kind of answer I was hoping for." Hibatsu replies to the winged girl in Lilliputian, before swapping back to English to speak with Aery. "Don't worry about it. I've been in similar situations before, so I can understand how he feels. As for my final destination, that would be Nakata." He explains as he stands up, dusting himself off and cracking his gloved knuckles out of a force of habit.

Charlie would be cracking open the crate "...I can't believe one of these are here.." he simply says "wakey wakey .....Tarsona Speeder" he says as a mechanical sound Is heard and something is standing, though unable to see what.. being much taller then all of them... barely able to fit in the cargo bay.

"Charlie, you idiot, what part of "do not disturb" don't you understand?" Aery waved at the side of the box, where bright red paint did indeed mark out the words. "What on earth is that thing, anyway?"

Charlie would just grin "you really don't know cybertronian tech now do you" he states "my people are the best at making things... this is a Mech bot, named Tarsona Speeder.. these machines have high A.I. so they can think and act on their own. but when needed cybertronians can pilot them... our home planet consist half of machines of different types and half of organics..." he says "if I bothered I could go into bio-engineering without to much trouble, in my blood after all" he says with a chuckle "this is a special model.. the first of the design... a leader type...." he says "Named after it's creator, and the name of it's class of machines" he states.

Tarsona Speeder

"Hmph. You Cybertronians and your toys have always been a damn nuisance...despite this one being a leader type, they go down just as easy as the rest. It's the swarms you've got to watch out for." Hibatsu remarks, eyeing the mech warily despite his recently given opinion. On ground, they were easy pickings. In a close-quarters starship...he has yet to experience such a fight. Personally, he'd rather not have to at this given moment.

Charlie and the machine would look towards Hibatsu "you must of never fought a combat type class" he says "..This is a speeder class, one made for combat and she can hear you... so I'd watch what you say" he states. "say that after fighting one of the combat oriented machines we have... heck just look at the behemoth class and you'd probably crap your pants" he states then looks back at the data pad "hm.." he thinks to him self wondering why she is here.
