1984-2002: Before the Bow
Born to Star City billionaire businessman Robert and Moira Queen, Oliver Jonas had the extreme luck to be born into the one percent in an economy that included names such as Howard Stark, Norman Osborn, Thomas Wayne, Simon Stagg and Lionel Luthor. Growing up, Oliver's every need was attended to either by his mother or the abundance of nannies employed at the Queen Estate. This, of course, caused the young heir to be incredibly spoiled, developing a multitude of bad habits and personality traits in his formative years.

On a family trip to South Korea for the 1988 Summer Olympic Games, a four year old Oliver would witness a perfect gold medal performance from a present day legend of the archery community; Bonnie King. Being the immensely impressionable lad that he was at the time, Oliver developed an obsession with the art almost immediately, from forcing his parents to buy him his first bow when they returned to the States to hanging posters of Robin Hood and Red Arrow on the walls of his bedroom, even if the later hadn't been seen since the Justice Society's disbandment in 1979.

Seeing that his son was more interested in archery than he had been in, well, anything else at the time, Robert Queen managed to hire Bonnie King herself as a personal instructor for Oliver only a sparse couple of years after her gold medal performance. Unbeknownst to him however, King's perfectionist attitude and overbearing criticisms of Ollie's at the time amateur ability nearly drove Oliver from the sport entirely. Years later Oliver would come to learn that Bonnie had become a mother, hence her stepping down from regular competition. If not for that, it is widely believed Bonnie would've gone on to dominate several Olympics.

Being the wealthy heir to a multi-billion dollar company that he was, Oliver was afforded the foremost education that the United States could offer, namely, he would attend Saint Elias' School for Youths in Gateway City in even-farther-north-than-Star-City-California. It was here that Oliver would mingle with various other children of magnates, oil tycoons and other notable lineages. Being roughly ten at the time, Ollie, like most children his age, mostly kept to himself and rarely socialized outside of his continued friendship with Tommy Merlyn, (he thanked every higher power he knew that Malcolm permitted Tommy to go.) though he did become fast friends with a particular pair of children from Coast City: Harold "Hal" Jordan and Carol Ferris, with Carol being the daughter of none other than the founder of Ferris Aircraft.

By the time Ollie, Hal, Tommy and Carol had graduated from Saint Elias and returned to their home cities Hal had earned a Student Pilot Certificate, a feat which infuriated Carol as she'd been denied her pastime due to the unexpected illness of her father and her growing responsibilities toward her family's company, Ollie had turned down innumerable invitations to the school's archery team (the coach couldn't take no for an answer) and Tommy had developed an acumen for keeping Ollie and Hal from killing themselves.

To celebrate his son's graduation from prep academy, Robert arranged an extended fishing trip on the Queen's Gambit, the family's commercial yacht. Unbeknownst to both of the Queen men at the time, the journey would be far more eventful than catching some giant sea bass. Wishing Carrie Cutter, his girlfriend at the time, farewell and kissing his mother goodbye while simultaneously smirking at his sister's jealous glare, Ollie boarded the ship and braced himself for the first day of the rest of his life, or whatever it was the cool kids were saying those days.
2002-2005: Purgatory
While at sea somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, a catastrophic storm hit the Queen's Gambit, causing flooding and mass engine failure. Ollie and Robert managed to make it to a lifeboat before the yacht capsized, watching the ship go down while they aimlessly drifted away from the wreckage. Still in shock from the experience, Ollie was made to witness his father's suicide after the later realized they only had enough supplies for one person to reach the nearest island.

Washing up alone and hungry on an unfamiliar environment, Oliver made a small memorial to his father on the shoreline (he'd thrown the corpse overboard.) and hazily made his way to look for supplies. Ollie doesn't know just how far or how long he spent traveling inland, days begin to blur when one is sufficiently isolated with only the sun to tell the time. One day, while he was scavenging for food, Ollie had the violent experience of having an arrow shot through his shoulder. He didn't quite have the wherewithal to stay conscious at that particular moment, and he was only shocked back to life when the arrowhead was removed. It was then that he first met the man that would save his life more times than one: Natas.

After nursing the marooned billionaire back to health, Natas began the surely frustrating task of training a kid born with a silver spoon in his mouth how to survive on what was probably the most dangerous island on Earth. Ollie hadn't exactly been the most perceptive or willing student, but his natural ability with a bow and arrow was the starting point in the duo's relationship, with Natas himself being an accomplished archer.

Sometime during his tutorship under Natas, Oliver accidentally tripped what he assumed was a trap designed to catch game, however, he and Natas would be taken hostage by armed guards and transported to a military styled base camp somewhere near the center of Lian Yu. Initially tortured by a man known as Eddie Fyers, Oliver would be thrown into a human cage where he would meet none other than Natas' daughter, Shado. In-between regular torture sessions, the two would devise an escape plan, and three weeks after his arrival, Oliver saw an opportunity and took it.

Through deception and chaos, the trio managed to escape the compound and make their way into the wilderness. Nearly a week later they came across a crashed military aircraft that housed a particularly antagonistic SHIELD Agent by the name of Slade Wilson. After an initial misunderstanding, Slade explained his situation; he'd been assigned to covertly land on Lian Yu and locate a fellow agent named William Wintergreen, who had gone silent. Having been stranded on the island for nearly a year.

The group decided to pool their respective skills and look for a way off the island. This mainly consisted of Oliver constantly honing his body and skills under Slade and Natas with routine hunting trips with Shado while their two elders planned out how exactly they were going to escape. Only one plan seemed viable unless they wanted to pull a Gilligan's Island: Steal a boat from Fyers' camp.

Archery - Oliver's chosen method of curtailing crime, Green Arrow is capable of shooting an arrow down the barrel of a pistol from fifty yards at a moment's notice. Ollie's aim is impeccable, and some have ventured to call it superhuman after seeing the Emerald Archer hit targets from multiple rooftops away. The man himself has claimed to be able to fire roughly twenty-nine arrows per minute one at a time from a quiver, and split a droplet of water while falling from the tap of a sink. To say that shooting a bow comes as naturally as breathing to Oliver Queen would be an understatement. Aside from his pinpoint marksmanship, the eccentric billionaire also makes use of dozens of self-manufactured trick arrows, that can function in any number of ways, ranging from a simple explosive arrow to pyrotechnic and EMP arrows.

Swordsmanship - Like, maybe?

Physical Capabilities - During his time on Lian Yu, Oliver was forced to transform his body from that of a spoiled playboy to that which would put Olympians to shame. The extreme training regiment instilled in him by the likes of Natas and Deathstroke has carried over to his life as Green Arrow. Most notably, Oliver's hand-eye coordination and eyesight have seemingly developed beyond what many thought was humanly possible.

Intelligence and Deductive Abilities - Although he openly gallivanted as a spoiled child of old money, Oliver actually possesses a keenly intelligent mind and knack for technological engineering. After his ordeal on Lian Yu, Oliver decided to enter college and earn a business degree in order to prepare himself to take over Queen Industries. Oliver is not an overly capable detective. While able to bust most of Star City's lower level criminals and street gangs on pure ingenuity, one of equal or greater intelligence than the Battling Bowman can seemingly slip through his grasp. Luckily, Oliver's team make up for this flaw 9 times out of 10.

Medical Knowledge - Oliver retains a fairly large amount of knowledge on emergency medical procedures and remedies, having had to remove dozens of bullets and the occasional arrow from his body. Particularly, Ollie knows the cures and treatments for nearly all known poisons and illnesses from his time on Lian Yu, and maintains a small stockpile of herbs and salves in his archaic bow-case. He also retains firsthand knowledge on the affects of most recreational drugs.

Multi-lingualism - Along with his superhuman archery abilities, Oliver was also taught how to speak both Mandarin and Japanese from his two mentors on Lian Yu, and self-taught himself the Russian language during his conflicts with the Star City Bratva branch. He also studied French during his playboy years but only remembers vague sentences and phrases and would more than likely offend most French nationals.

Supporting Cast
Robert and Moira Queen - A classic tale of the self made billionaire marrying his high school sweetheart, one could make a movie about the story of romance between Robert and Moira Queen. Having met during their freshman year at Star City High, the two married almost immediately after Robert's graduation from college. Robert, a ruthless businessman, took his father's relatively small computer business and turned it into a multi-billion dollar technology empire spanning the entirety of the United States within two decades using every underhanded play, every dirty trick, and every bullying technique known to man. Naturally this garnered him an abundance of enemies. Moira remained blissfully ignorant of her husband's crimes and peacefully took her place as a fiercely protective and doting mother.

The two would die some seven years apart, Robert committing suicide to ensure their son's survival, and Moira being murdered at the hands of Cupid, a deranged psychopath obsessed with Oliver's alter ego, the Green Arrow.

Thea Queen - Ollie's younger sister and only surviving family member. During Ollie's exile on Lian Yu Thea fell to drugs and alcohol, the very same vices Oliver himself partook in. Though they struggled at first, Ollie and Thea would reconcile after the former opening up about his experience on the Island with his surviving family. Now clean for some three years, Thea was distraught to learn of her brother's true nature as the Green Arrow as a result of his conflict with Cupid, during which both Thea and Moira were taken hostage in their family's home. Following their mother's death, Thea has all but removed herself from Ollie's life. Oliver fears that without the guidance she once had, his sister might very well fall into alcoholism once again.

Dinah Laurel Lance, Black Canary - Born in Gotham, Dinah's family would move to Star City while she was still very young. After losing her younger sister, Sarah, to a car accident in high school, Dinah traveled to the Middle East and Asia, training under various martial arts masters, most notably Sandra Wu-San and Richard Drakunovsky, better known as the enigmatic Richard Dragon and Lady Shiva. Dinah returned to Star City following the news of Malcolm Merlyn's thwarted Undertaking. She would encounter the Emerald Archer following Thomas Bolt's assassination by the man known only as Onomatopoeia early in her vigilante career. The relationship would evolve over time and the two have been dating for about a year. To say she was surprised that Star City's guardian angle was spoiled billionaire Oliver Queen would be an understatement. Raised as a fighter from a young age, Black Canary has proven to be one of the best hand to hand fighters on the planet, multiple times. This, in conjunction with her supersonic "Canary Cry", makes her a deadly opponent for anyone, let alone common street thugs.

Roy Harper, Arsenal - To be written.

Wendy "Proxy" Harris - Older child of Steven Harris by almost a whole twenty minutes, Wendy Harris was a certified computer geek almost out of the womb. Along with the more hands-on genius of her brother, Wendy would graduate MIT at the ripe old age of sixteen. After the assassination of her father, Wendy turned to aiding one Roy Harper's crime-fighting in exchange for any intel they could find, which inevitably led them to crossing paths with the Emerald Archer. The three have been working together ever since.

Marvin Harris - A mechanical genius to match his sister's hacking ability, Marvin is currently employed as an engineer for Queen's Applied Sciences Division, and supplies the more adventurous of the team with an ample amount of nifty trick arrows for any and all situations, though his scientific mind often wanders to bigger and better things than "pointy sticks".

John Diggle - A retired member of the Green Berets, Johnathan Diggle, or Digg, as Ollie calls him, was hired by Moira Queen to be Oliver's bodyguard upon her son's return to Star City. After becoming aware of Ollie's identity as the Emerald Archer, Diggle became the first person to join the Arrowteam. While he still occasionally operates as a bodyguard, Digg's official title is "Queen Industries Security Adviser", which is to say Ollie pays him to be a sparring partner and make rare trips to the office to check up on the security systems.

Wonder Dog the Arrowhound - The trusty canine companion of the battling bowmen!

Tommy Merlyn - Dead and stuff

Bonnie King-Jones - Born into a family of circus performers, Bonnie King was trained in archery from a young age by her father, "The Magician" Arthur King. A former Olympic Gold Medalist, Bonnie was eloquently nicknamed Miss Arrowette in her prime, and is perhaps the most well known former athlete in the world's archery community. After obtaining her medal in 1992, Bonnie settled down in California and became Oliver's private instructor, though even she couldn't teach Ollie how to properly handle a bow. Now married to Bernell Jones, Bonnie is a stay at home mother.

Bernell "Bowstring" Jones - A small-time sports journalist during the 1992 Summer Olympics, Bernell Jones is the everyday sort of person one would never assume to marry a Bonnie King type. Bernell met Bonnie a few months after her first pregnancy and eventually found his way into the woman's heart, becoming a loving father to a daughter soon after his wedding. Having been an archery enthusiast, Bernell is a self-proclaimed supporter of the Emerald Archer and one of the few friends Green Arrow has in Star City's press. Because of Bernell's tendency to arrive at crime scenes and slip the Arrowclan information whenever possible, Ollie has jokingly nicknamed him "Bowstring".

Maggie Sawyer - A ten year veteran of the Star City Police Force, Maggie Sawyer is a staunch opponent of vigilantes around the world, and has a personal mission to prove that her precinct can be just as effective as "that crazy Robin Hood wannabe." a single mother of one, Maggie is a gay rights activist and open lesbian, and although the more bigoted of Star City's law enforcement hierarchy have held her back because of this, Sawyer has proven one of the most efficient officers on payroll.

Joanna Pierce - An up and coming lawyer and native of Metropolis' Suicide Slum, Joanna Pierce experienced gang violence first hand throughout her formative years and decided to enter law school because of it. Joanna has become estranged from her family for unknown reasons and has moved across the country to Star City. She has yet to be introduced to Green Arrow directly.

Rogues' Gallery
Chien Na Wei, China White - One of the Mandarin's main lieutenants, Chien Na Wei operated the large opium trade operation run by the Mandarin's triad on Lian Yu which used the native population for slave labor in the poppy fields. The operation was quickly destroyed by Oliver Queen, in what he would call his very first appearance as the Green Arrow. Believed to have died in an explosion, China White has emerged in Star City as the head of a new Triad group. Oliver remains unaware of how White, or the Mandarin, located him, but presumes they are aware of his identity.

The Mandarin - The enigmatic head of an Asian criminal Empire. The Mandarin began paying off Eddie Fyers' company in order to host a drug operation on the island amongst several other operations. A ruthless and cunning leader, Oliver only knows the Mandarin by reputation, and even the likes of SHIELD cannot put a face to the name.

Eddie Fyers - The field commander of the mercenary group stationed on Lian Yu, Edward Fyers used Lian Yu as a Mecca for drug operations and slave labor from its native inhabitants. Whether an inmate or a castaway, Fyers never let a resource go to waste. Fyers often employed the prisoners of Lian Yu to bolster his own staff in exchange for a bed and warm meals. A vain man from birth, Fyers didn't do much to stop some of his men's more barbaric practices on the Island. His operations exposed by Oliver, the Chinese government has taken it upon themselves to handle Fyers and his company.

Lawrence "Crusher" Crock, Sportsmaster - A former small time crook and assassin for hire, Lawrence "Crusher" Crock was exiled to Lian Yu by the League of Assassins for taking a contract that belonged to them in order to send a message to their competitors. Brought into the fold by Oliver and his group, they would later be betrayed by Crock, who had been coerced by Ra's al Ghul to eliminate the former League of Shadows operatives.

Malcolm Merlyn, the Dark Archer - A central figure in Star City's hierarchy, Malcolm Merlyn was seen as a poor man's Robert Queen, just as ruthless and cunning, but only made a half of what his contemporary managed with less resources and time. For reasons unknown Malcolm left California in his teenage years and early twenties. Eventually, Malcolm would marry Robert's widow Moira before her untimely death. A central figure during the Undertaking, Merlyn was exposed as the Dark Archer but escaped capture.

Noah Kuttler, the Calculator - A wealthy investment banker and accountant, Noah Kuttler operates an abundance of extortion rackets and oversees a number of Swiss Bank accounts under the guise of "The Calculator". A genius mathematician, Kuttler has been able to find a way around almost every loophole without a second thought, all from behind a computer monitor. After Green Arrow's interference in his schemes, the Calculator has begun using his massive funds to hire killers to apprehend the vigilante.

Ricardo "Junior" Diaz, Richard Dragon - One of Richard Dragon's students following Black Canary, Ricardo Diaz murdered his teacher and took his name for his own. A human weapon, Diaz is one of, if not the greatest hand to hand fighter and martial artist on Earth, retaining an uncanny ability to read his opponent's movements and find any weakness in a person's body and exploit it with deadly proficiency. Diaz has recently traveled to the United States to track down the Dragon's former students and systematically take them out.

Werner Zytle of Vlatava, Count Vertigo - Currently rotting in a prison cell, Werner Zytle conspired a bloody rise to Kingship by ordering the assassination of his elder brother and only niece with the assassins posing as American extremists. When Perdita returned to Vlatava to claim the throne, Vertigo made to execute her himself and take power by force. Thankfully however, Vertigo was undone by the Emerald Archer.

Simon LaCroix, Komodo - Born into poverty in the Glades, Simon LaCroix is a self-made man who ended up working as the personal assistant and confidant of Robert Queen. To Robert, Simon was everything Ollie wasn't. By that time Ollie had already fallen into constant fits of partying, recreational drug use, and underage drinking. The son he never had, Robert would give Simon the head start he needed to launch Stellmoor International.

Isabel Rochev, the Queen - Born in a small village in eastern Russia, Isabel Rochev was inspired from a young age by Robert Queen, who had a number of mines built in the mountains around her home, which caused her village's economy to flourish. Eventually becoming a personal intern for Robert while still in business school, the Queen Patriarch began an extramarital affair with his young assistant. Her internship was later terminated without notice. Holding a grudge against the Queen family, Rochev would become the primary business partner of Simon LaCroix at Stellmoor International.

Constantine Drakon - Generally considered by his peers as one of the best martial artists on the planet, Drakon is the personal assistant and second-in-command of The Sensei, the mysterious man at the head of the League of Assassins. Drakon's most notable contract occurred some years ago when he eliminated the CEO of Harris Technological Firm, Steven Harris, leaving the twins Wendy and Marvin orphaned. After a short scuffle with Green Arrow, Drakon managed to escape and has not been seen since.

Brian Durlin - The heir to the Durlin family fortune, Brian is a savant in every sense of the word. He graduated at the top of his class from an ivy league school at only twenty years old, actively plays five instruments, is an adept fencer and martial artist, and is a magician when it comes to business transactions. It is whispered that Durlin has big plans for when he finally comes into his inheritance, but what exactly they are is anyone's guess. Durlin is almost never seen without his servant, Aleksandr Creote.

Lady Shiva - After her time under Richard Dragon, Dinah would catch the attention of Dinah when the latter arrived in Rhelasia to seek her out. After a trial to determine Dinah's worthiness as a recruit for the League of Shadows, Shiva took her under her wing and became one of Canary's many mentors. Shiva would eventually praise Canary as one of her greatest students after Dinah fought her to a stand-still after only a year of training. Since Dinah's desertion from the League and return to Star City, Lady Shiva has silently plotted her downfall.

Carrie Cutter, Cupid - A former romantic conquest of a young Oliver Queen who volunteered for an expedition to locate the Queen's Gambit. While at sea something changed in Cutter, and she is now certifiably insane, with an absolute obsession with Ollie after the news of his return. After taking Mia and Moira Queen hostage in their own mansion in an effort to become closer to Ollie Carrie, then operating under the name "Cupid", was shocked to discover that Oliver was the Green Arrow. Following the murder of Moira Queen and Cupid's capture by Green Arrow Cutter has been placed in the Haven Security Village for the Insane.

Daniel "Danny" Brickwell, Brick - Star City's most prominent crime lord due not only to his namesake skin, but for his ruthless efficiency and almost impossible feat of taking control of the Triangle, Danny Brickwell was a victim of his environment and thrived in the criminal underworld following his father's termination from a Queen Industries factory in the Glades.

Setting, Locations, and Companies
Star City - (Orchid Bay, Lamb Valley, The Glades, Adams Heights, South End, Aurora)

Queen Family Mansion - A luxurious plot of land on the outskirts of Orchid Bay, the Queen Mansion is bordered to the west by the Pacific Ocean and to the East by the towering skyscrapers of Downtown Star City. Retaining a gated driveway, the Queen family has become synonymous with secrecy due to just how far "out of the way" Robert Queen decided to build his home, with the nearest neighbors being roughly a mile away. The interior of the residence however is very welcoming and screams socialite, with everything from antique vases to billiards tables decorating the innumerable rooms and hallways.

The Arrowcave - Built in a cavern underneath the Queen residence following the aftermath of Cupid's attack, the Arrowcave operates as Ollie's main base of operations as Green Arrow. Both Oliver and Diggle have taken steps to ensure the cave's safety, such as wiring the walls and implementing top class security systems. Nearly three times as large as the Quiver, the Arrowcave is fully stocked with equipment, an archery range, adaptable obstacle course, and barracks.

Verdant - Built and owned by Oliver Queen, Verdant serves as the only nightclub in the Glades, and is particularly popular amongst Star City's teenagers and young adults.

The Quiver - Oliver's original base of operations built within an abandoned Queen Industries Factory that would become Verdant. With the construction of the Arrowcave underneath the Queen Mansion, the Quiver rarely serves any function to the Arrow Clan outside of a variable weapons cache and tech dump. Though still fully serviceable, the image of the Quiver is one of antiquity, filled with mementos and out of date equipment, a museum of the Emerald Archer's first exploits within Star City.

Queen Industries - The West Coast equivalent of Wayne Enterprises, Queen Industries is a massive conglomerate of numerous smaller companies with a basis in commercial information technology, being one of the most prominent companions to spring out of the digital revolution. While the public knows of Queen Industries from the almost omnipresent Q-Phones and Q-Pads, the company has an extensive and lucrative military contract. If you were to visit the Pentagon, odds are the tech in their computers came from a Queen Industries facility. Based in Downtown Star City, Queen Industries retains beneficial connections to various west coast businesses, most notably being Ferris Air.

Lian Yu - An almost impossible to locate island in the South China Sea, Lian Yu is something of an experimental prison in that Asian governments send their most feared criminals to the island and have them fend for themselves with effectively no government involvement, even lacking basic security protocols to prevent escape. In actuality run by a secretive private military company, Lian Yu is a variable death camp for criminals, and in Ollie's case, castaways.

S.T.A.R. Labs - To be written.

Stellmoor International - Founded by Simon LaCroix in 2003, in only ten years of history, LaCroix became one of Queen Industries' fiercest competitors within Star City. Using every trick and tactic taught to him by Robert Queen, LaCroix took his company from a single office building to an international technology Empire, and following Moira Queen's murder, very nearly executed a hostile takeover of Queen Industries before Oliver Queen's intervention.

The Daily Star -

George Weisinger University - One of the oldest universities in California, George Weisinger University, or GWU, once stood as a proud pillar of the Ivy League schools across the United States. Recently however, Weisinger U's reputation has shifted from a melting pot of cultures and ideas, to one of an unruly party school, overrun with frat parties that seem to run every day, under the influence of underage drinking and innumerable other illegal narcotics.

Slabside Penitentiary - Located on the outskirts of Adams Heights, Slabside Penitentiary, affectionately nicknamed the Slab by inmates and city goers alike, Slabside has a fearsome reputation for police brutality and mistreatment of prisoners, which caused it to be shut down sometime in 2008. Recently refurbished to house both mundane and metahuman inmates, the Slab has been receiving a number of new inmates from across the west coast, who's former prisons didn't have nearly as thorough precautions against metahuman threats.

Haven Security Village - Opened in 2008 and built on an Island three miles out from Star City's ports, the Haven Security Village acts as an "impossible to break out of" asylum. Rather than restrain the population with straitjackets or handcuffs at all times, Haven attempts to create an atmosphere of equality by allowing patients a great deal of freedom. Fully manned with a coast guard and 24/7 security personnel, Haven has garnered a reputation of excellence during it's small time of operation.

The Kingdom of Vlatava - An economically struggling Kingdom in Eastern Europe, Vlatava recently suffered immensely at the hands of the Sta'rro Incident quickly followed by a succession crisis with the assassination of it's former King. The throne eventually passed to Perdita Zytle, now known as Perdita II. Facing aggression from Russia, Vlatavanians fear for their country's independence while under the watchful eye of their vigilant neighbor. To ensure their neighbors wouldn't invade, Vlatava joined the Latverian Union.

Project Reclamation
World War II had been won by the Allies, HYDRA had been stopped by Captain America, and yet his allies were somber. The loss of the world’s first true superhero shocked the OSS, and many believed without his guidance in the new era of superpowers the world could once again fall into chaos. In response to this fear, the OSS got to work on Project Reclamation. The project, led by Nazi defector Arnim Zola, was designed to recreate Erskine’s supersoldier serum at any cost. Highly secretive and heavily funded, the team toiled endlessly on the genetic samples that had been taken from Rogers before his untimely passing. There was little hope that the project would garner a success, but the top brass thought it was worth the expense.

The years passed, and Project Reclamation experienced failure after failure. Eventually the remnants of the OSS transformed into SHIELD, and Zola traveled with the project to the new hierarchy. By the time SHIELD was formed, Zola was the last one working on the project. He had an obsessive zeal to see it completed, and few understood why. Many chalked it up to an aging scientist yearning for one last discovery, but some feared he desired to create a supersoldier in secret for the reborn HYDRA. While he worked, he was kept under constant supervision, though few truly understood what he was doing. But Zola toiled endlessly, sure he would crack the code eventually.

A New Generation
As the world rapidly started to move towards a new direction in the early 80s, an elderly Doctor Zola came to the SHIELD leaders and told them he had finally cracked the code. They would be able to produce another super soldier, though the means would be very different. Using the Captain’s genetic material, Zola had devised a way to impregnate a surrogate and ensure the majority of Rogers’s abilities were passed on. SHIELD, wary of the time it would take to activate such an asset, agreed as they saw no other choice. With the advent of the burgeoning mutant and metahuman populations, they knew they would need powered agents in the field to combat any possible threats.

After a search, Sharon Carter, the niece of Rogers’ former flame Peggy, volunteered to carry and raise the child. After she was impregnated, Zola disappeared, which struck a deep fear into her heart. She worried about what kind of child she was now carrying, and whether or not it would end up being a weapon for HYDRA.

Sharon was relieved when, on February 22, 1983, she gave birth to a beautiful, and completely normal, baby girl. She was named Stephanie, after her father, and the new family settled down in Keystone City, MS. There, Stephanie grew to be an outstanding young girl. Sharon was proud that the best attributes of her father seemed to shine through the girl. She was kind, brave, and ferociously defended the weak around her.

While that was a good sign, as Steph’s powers began to materialize around puberty, Sharon had a hard time keeping her daughter’s lineage a secret. The girl was terrified she was a mutant, and that the people who attacked them would come for her. Sharon comforted the girl, and began teaching her how to control her strength, speed, and agility so that she could pass off for a normal human. While it was never a perfect cover, Stephanie reached adulthood without seriously arousing suspicion from those around her.

September 11, 2001 changed the world. It reminded people that evil still worked tirelessly to strike fear into the hearts of good people around the world. It brought with it the emergence of Superman and the Batman, and the hordes of other vigilantes and heroes that followed. But for Stephanie Carter it meant the end of her normal life. In the wake of the attacks, SHIELD believed more would follow from powered and non-powered threats alike. To respond to this perceived threat, the decision was made to activate the asset they had in Stephanie. Director Timothy Dugan, head of the organization, appeared on the Carter’s doorstep. Together with Sharon, he explained to Steph who she is and where her powers came from. Grant treated her like the daughter he never had, and the two bonded quickly. Fury, on the other hand, was far more enigmatic. He claimed to have known her father, and though that seemed unlikely thanks to his younger appearance. The two instructors were amazed at how quickly their pupil learned thanks to her enhanced mental capabilities.

One person on Steph's training team that was not as enthused was Bucky Barnes, the former friend of Steve Rogers and the only other man to bear the Captain America banner successfully. He had never approved of Zola's experimentation with Steve's DNA, and Bucky believed Steph to be a stain on Steve's legacy. Still, he trained her in the use of Captain America's shield and how to use her powers on the battlefield.

Within a year, Stephanie was deemed ready for field duty. She was given her father’s shield to keep, a specialized combat suit, and a variety of gadgets designed by famed weapons manufacturer Tony Stark himself.

Captain America’s first mission was a rousing success. She was dispatched to save a UN Peacekeeping vessel from the mercenary group Batroc’s Brigade. Stephanie singlehandedly reclaimed the ship with no casualties. The world celebrated its new hero, and Captain America was an overnight sensation, and even Bucky Barnes began to come around on the new Captain America.

Task Force X
After her success, SHIELD command believed it was time to give Stephanie her own team. She was presented with hundreds of choices for her squadmates, something SHIELD brass regretted immediately. Cap gravitated towards a program proposed by SHIELD’s Amanda Waller in which criminal or newly turned assets would be used for dangerous, but heroic, missions under the leadership of a SHIELD official. Captain America insisted on being the one to lead these men and women in their second chance, sure she could make heroes out of them. While her superiors worried this was naivety on the part of the young hero, the agreed to let her form her team.

Her first choice for a teammate was Natasha Romanoff, codenamed Black Widow. Widow was a former spy, assassin, and saboteur for the Russians. After being captured by SHIELD, she agreed to switch sides in exchange for her life. She was eager to prove her new allegiance and joined the team without hesitation.

Next to the team came Clint Barton, codenamed Hawkeye. Hawkeye was a circus trick shot performer, as well as a master thief who used the circus as his cover. After being apprehended, Waller saw the use in Barton, and brought him aboard. Clint was often sarcastic and lackadaisical, but never failed when the pressure was on.

The fourth member of the team was Luke Cage. Cage was a former inmate who volunteered for military experiments designed to create a new breed of super soldier. The experiments gave him superhuman strength in invulnerability, which he used to escape prison before being retrieved by SHIELD. With the offer of a pardon for time served with the new team, Cage eagerly signed up.

The final member of the team she chose was Brock Rumlow, a former gang member and career criminal. Rumlow was violent, unpredictable, and dangerous, but seemed to have the team’s wellbeing in mind at all times.

Two others were also placed on the team by orders of Amanda Waller. Wade Wilson, known as Ravager, and the mutant known by the codename Copycat. While they weren't Steph's choices, they soon became trusted members of the team.

With the newly formed task force at her disposal, Cap went about fighting injustice and evil wherever she found it. They battled domestic and foreign terrorists, and eventually came into conflict with the mysterious Kobra cult and their super powered attack squad known as the Serpent Society. Kobra and the team, nicknamed the Suicide Squad by Barton, battle countless times before Stephanie managed to destroy the head of Kobra, seemingly stopping the cult for good.

The team was incredibly successful. That is until March 19, 2005. On a trip to a SHIELD super max detention facility to drop off the Serpent Society leader Sidewinder, the team was betrayed by Rumlow during an attack by a reborn HYDRA. The surprise sent the team into disarray. In the chaos, SHIELD Director Dugan was killed, and Rumlow managed to get the best out of Stephanie before escaping.

AWOL
After the reemergence of HYDRA and the death of their leader, SHIELD was in disarray. New director Nick Fury decided to table Task Force X, giving pardons to the members of the team. With the team dissolved, Barton and Romanoff stayed on as SHIELD agents, while Cage returned to New York and Ravager and Copycat went their own way.

Stephanie, on the other hand, decided to take a sabbatical from SHIELD. Taking up the alias of Nomad, she searched for the new HYDRA alone. Combing through the dark corners of the world, she managed to get little in the way of solid information. Every step forward brought two steps back as HYDRA seemed to know when she was coming.

After months of searching, however, Stephanie was brought back to SHIELD during the invasion of the Star’ro. Cap reformed her team and came to the aid of the other heroes battling against the alien invaders. In the end, Cap and Superman, leader of the other heroes protecting Earth, shook hands on the field of victory and solidified a friendship.

Assemble
In response to the fact that Earth was now under intergalactic threats, as well as a response to the independent Justice League, a now-stable SHIELD and Nick Fury created the Avenger Initiative to put together their own team of super powered individuals. Stephanie was chosen to lead, naturally. Hawkeye and Black Widow agreed to stay on, but Luke felt he was needed in New York. Using SHIELD resources, Cap recruited scientists Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne to the team, both using Pym’s scientific findings to become the heroes Ant-Man and Wasp. The final piece of their team was Nate Adam, aka Captain Atom. Adam was a former Air Force pilot given powers by a nuclear accident. Together, they formed the Avengers.

While the Justice League focused their attention on the Injustice Gang and their allies, the Avengers focused on the terrorist organizations HYDRA and the newly formed AIM.

HYDRA continued to attack the free people of the world, but the Avengers managed to begin turning the tide. It was discovered they were lead by Baron Helmut Zemo, the son of a prominent member of HYDRA’s past. Still, Zemo managed to slip between Cap’s fingers every time they came face to face, often thanks to interference from Rumlow, who now went by the name Crossbones.

AIM, aka Advanced Idea Mechanics, was a group of radical scientists hellbent on the overthrow of society to start a technology and science dominated one. The Avengers took on their mechanical and biological monsters many times, even coming in contact with their hideous and enigmatic leader MODOK.

Captain America is now comfortably leading the Avengers, all the while searching for Rumlow and Zemo to pay back the betrayal of Task Force X. But even now as things seem to be falling into predictable patterns, the ghosts of the past will catch up to Stephanie in terrible and surprising ways.

She is super strong, fast, agile, dexterous, has incredible endurance, and heals faster than a normal person. The super soldier serum in her DNA also enhanced her mind, giving her keen strategic thinking.

After SHIELD activated her, Steph received extensive training in hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, stealth and infiltration, and combat tactics. She also was gifted her father’s shield, the one thing not lost with him. She uses it as well as he ever did, and it’s almost like an extension of her mind.

Stephanie’s loadout when in the field normally consists of her shield, a set of specialized combat armor, and Stark-designed gauntlets that fire hardened disks similar to the shield.

Nick Fury - Fury is the director of SHIELD and an old ally of Stephanie’s father. He was one of the test subjects for the incomplete and unstable version of the Project Rebirth serum, which granted him an unnatural long life instead of the intended physical enhancements. Fury is a smart, capable, and talented soldier and leader. Steph looks up to him greatly, and values his advice. While he sees her as an invaluable asset and exemplary leader for the Avengers, Fury keeps her, as he does everyone, at arms distance.

Ted “Wildcat” Grant - Grant is a former prize fighter, vigilante, and acquaintance to Fury. When Stephanie was brought in for training, Fury approached Grant to help train the new Captain America in hand-to-hand combat. Ted jumped at the chance, knowing it was his last chance to do some good. Wildcat and Cap bonded immediately, and Steph found in him a father figure she had never had before. He continues to mentor her.

James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes - Stephanie's father's old friend and the second man to take up the Captain America namesake, Bucky Barnes was at first a reluctant mentor for Stephanie, believing the project that created her to be an insult to Steve's legacy. He agreed to train her in the use of Captain America's shield, and through this and watching her succeed on the field of battle, Bucky now views Stephanie as a worthy successor of the Captain America mantle, and the two are close comrades.

Sharon Carter - Stephanie’s mother is a former SHIELD agent. She now lives with Stephanie in SHIELD facilities, and guides her daughter through the tougher times as a hero and leader of the Avengers.

Natasha Romanoff - A former spy and assassin, Romanoff was the first person recruited to Cap’s team. The two of them are nearly inseparable friends at this point, and Natasha is Steph’s go to team member when picking someone to go into the field with.

Clint Barton - Hawkeye and Cap have a brother/sister like relationship. The two often snipe at one another, but are like clockwork on the battlefield. Having fought together for so many years, the two seemingly have a psychic link.

Luke Cage - A former member of Steph’s team, Cage is now a superhero for hire. While he rarely fights with the Avengers, Cage provides invaluable intel as someone plugged into street and low-level crime. He now resides in New York City.

Hank Pym - The scientist and hero known as Ant-Man, Pym is part of the Avengers. Pompous and hard-headed, Pym and Steph often but heads, leading to friction on the team. Still, his ability to shrink is important to stealth missions, and his scientific mind allows for great inventions like the Avengers’ mode of transportation, the Quinjet.

Janet van Dyne - Pym’s girlfriend and fellow scientist, she uses the Pym Particles and special stinger blasters to become the hero known as Wasp.

Nathaniel Adam - Captain Atom is the most militant and reserved of the Avengers. He has an unwavering dedication to the US Government. Still, he is completely loyal to the Avengers’ cause, and is the team’s powerhouse.

Commander Phil Coulson - Coulson is a kind-hearted, but skilled, SHIELD agent and the commanding officer on the Helicarrier when Director Fury is not on the vessel. Coulson is also an avid fan of Steph's father and the original Justice Society, and acts like a kindly older brother to the young superhero.

Antagonists

HYDRA - The old enemy of both Stephanie’s father and herself, the reformed HYDRA is a constant thorn in SHIELD’s side. Ruthless, fanatical, and deadly, HYDRA’s influence can be felt throughout the world.

Baron Helmut Zemo - The current head of HYDRA, Zemo desires world domination for he and his organization. He holds a grudge against Cap and her father after Rogers apprehended his grandfather in World War II.

Crossbones - Brock Rumlow was once part of Stephanie’s team until he revealed himself to be a HYDRA spy and traitor. Cap now desperately wants to capture Rumlow and make him pay for the betrayal.

The Serpent Society - After the fall of Kobra, the snake themed group of villains and assassins joined with HYDRA.

A.I.M. - Advanced Idea Mechanics desires the overthrow of society in the hope for a technologically dominated society.

MODOK - The hideous and violent leader of AIM, he, or it, desires the domination of humanity.

Kobra - A snake-focused cult that wished to bring about the rule of their god-king. It was believed he was born in the body of the man who called himself Kobra, and who commanded the cult against Stephanie. Cap killed Kobra in a confrontation, and now the remnants of the cult see her as their great enemy.

Locations

Helicarrier - The SHIELD Helicarrier is the mobile base for the Avengers. It houses thousands of SHIELD agents, various weapons, Quinjets, and detention cells for superpowered enemies. Many see the Helicarrier as a sign of hope and protection, though many see it as a sign the organization has gotten to big for its own good.

Triskelion - The home base of SHIELD, the Triskelion is the island HQ of SHIELD located in the Potomac River between Washington D.C. and Virginia. It houses SHIELD's scientific arm, its vast communications hub, superhuman training facilities, and Avengers HQ.

The Raft - An island prison made to house super powered inmates located on Ryker's Island in New York Harbor.

Cap's Apartment - Stephanie's apartment in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC. It has had multiple defense measures added since she moved in.

As always, I want to tell the Captain America story from a different perspective. While I’ve never been able to get this concept going before, with an established universe and characters, I think I can finally do it. I’d like to do some fun things with AIM and HYDRA, including melding some Indy touches to them. I also have some interesting ideas on what to do with some classic Cap rogues and characters that haven’t been introduced or played an important role in-universe yet.

"You're kidding right?" Hawkeye raised an eyebrow after Captain America finished her briefing. Her and the rest of the team were huddled around the holographic briefing table in the back of the Quinjet as it rocketed towards its destination. "I mean that's crazier than the stuff we normally do. And that's saying something. That's saying something huge. Because-"

"Clint, we get it," Black Widow put her hand over his mouth. "It is a little bit out there, Cap."

Steph looked around and noticed the worry on most of the team's faces. They all knew what kind of mission this would be when Fury handed it to them. Going into Latveria was never a cakewalk, but doing it completely unseen and unheard would be akin to the impossible. Victor von Doom was not a man who wanted SHIELD to know what he was up to, let alone have agents walking around inside his borders without him knowing. But Fury didn't trust Doom's facade of friendliness, and wanted the Avengers to find out what was going on in Latveria.

Doom was smart, however. He had some of the most sophisticated metahuman tracking systems on the planet, and there was no way even the Quinjet's stealth systems could get them over the border. So instead, they were going to pull an incredibly dangerous wingsuit paradrop that would get them inside.

"Any of you have a better idea on how to get inside?" she asked. "I'm all ears."

The team members looked at one another in silence before Ant-Man agreed, "I guess it's our only option."

"I still don't like that I have to stay behind," Captain Atom added from the cockpit.

"You're the best pilot we have, and Doom's sensors would smell you the minute you got close, Nate," Cap reminded him. "None of the rest of us have active metagenes. Plus, you're a bit more adept at breaking things than stealth. You'll be the cavalry in case we run into trouble."

"Understood," he said begrudgingly.

"What the hell," Barton sighed, "I led a good life. Mostly. Okay not really but hell it could be fun."

"There's the Hawkeye we know and generally don't mind too much," Wasp added with a punch to his shoulder.

"Easy for you to say, you can fly," Clint grumbled.

"Cut the chatter and get ready," Steph told her team. "We're nearing our drop window."

Deciding to honor her father’s legacy and ideals, Stephanie agreed to train to become the new Captain America.

Her and her mother left their home in Keystone to travel to Washington DC and SHIELD headquarters. There, she met her combat instructor Ted “Wildcat” Grant, a former boxer turned agent, and her espionage/tactics instructor Colonel Nick Fury. Grant treated her like the daughter he never had, and the two bonded quickly. Fury, on the other hand, was far more enigmatic. He claimed to have known her father, and was the one who trained her how to use Rogers’s trademark shield. The two instructors were amazed at how quickly their pupil learned thanks to her enhanced mental capabilities. Within a year, Stephanie was deemed ready for field duty. She was given her father’s shield to keep, a specialized combat suit, and a variety of gadgets designed by famed weapons manufacturer Tony Stark himself.

Captain America’s first mission was a rousing success. She was dispatched to save a UN Peacekeeping vessel from the mercenary group Batroc’s Brigade. Stephanie singlehandedly reclaimed the ship with no casualties. The world celebrated its new hero, and Captain America was an overnight sensation.

Task Force X
After her success, SHIELD command believed it was time to give Stephanie her own team. She was presented with hundreds of choices for her squadmates, something SHIELD brass regretted immediately. Cap gravitated towards a program proposed by SHIELD’s Amanda Waller in which criminal or newly turned assets would be used for dangerous, but heroic, missions under the leadership of a SHIELD official. Captain America insisted on being the one to lead these men and women in their second chance, sure she could make heroes out of them. While her superiors worried this was naivety on the part of the young hero, the agreed to let her form her team.

Her first choice for a teammate was Natasha Romanoff, codenamed Black Widow. Widow was a former spy, assassin, and saboteur for the Russians. After being captured by SHIELD, she agreed to switch sides in exchange for her life. She was eager to prove her new allegiance and joined the team without hesitation.

Next to the team came Clint Barton, codenamed Hawkeye. Hawkeye was a circus trick shot performer, as well as a master thief who used the circus as his cover. After being apprehended, Waller saw the use in Barton, and brought him aboard. Clint was often sarcastic and lackadaisical, but never failed when the pressure was on.

The fourth member of the team was Luke Cage. Cage was a former inmate who volunteered for military experiments designed to create a new breed of super soldier. The experiments gave him superhuman strength in invulnerability, which he used to escape prison before being retrieved by SHIELD. With the offer of a pardon for time served with the new team, Cage eagerly signed up.

The final member of the team was Brock Rumlow, a former gang member and career criminal. Rumlow was violent, unpredictable, and dangerous, but seemed to have the team’s wellbeing in mind at all times.

With the newly formed task force at her disposal, Cap went about fighting injustice and evil wherever she found it. They battled domestic and foreign terrorists, and eventually came into conflict with the mysterious Kobra cult and their super powered attack squad known as the Serpent Society. Kobra and the team, nicknamed the Suicide Squad by Barton, battle countless times before Stephanie managed to destroy the head of Kobra, seemingly stopping the cult for good.

The team was incredibly successful. That is until March 19, 2005. On a trip to a SHIELD super max detention facility to drop off the Serpent Society leader Sidewinder, the team was betrayed by Rumlow during an attack by a reborn HYDRA. The surprise sent the team into disarray. In the chaos, SHIELD Director Dugan was killed, and Rumlow managed to get the best out of Stephanie before escaping.

AWOL
After the reemergence of HYDRA and the death of their leader, SHIELD was in disarray. New director Nick Fury decided to table Task Force X, giving pardons to Romanoff, Barton, and Cage. With the team dissolved, the first two stayed on as SHIELD agents, while Cage returned to New York.

Stephanie, on the other hand, decided to take a sabbatical from SHIELD. Taking up the alias of Nomad, she searched for the new HYDRA alone. Combing through the dark corners of the world, she managed to get little in the way of solid information. Every step forward brought two steps back as HYDRA seemed to know when she was coming.

After months of searching, however, Stephanie was brought back to SHIELD during the invasion of the Star’ro. Cap reformed her team and came to the aid of the other heroes battling against the alien invaders. In the end, Cap and Superman, leader of the other heroes protecting Earth, shook hands on the field of victory and solidified a friendship.

Assemble
In response to the fact that Earth was now under intergalactic threats, as well as a response to the independent Justice League, a now-stable SHIELD and Nick Fury created the Avenger Initiative to put together their own team of super powered individuals. Stephanie was chosen to lead, naturally. Hawkeye and Black Widow agreed to stay on, but Luke felt he was needed in New York. Using SHIELD resources, Cap recruited scientists Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne to the team, both using Pym’s scientific findings to become the heroes Ant-Man and Wasp. The final piece of their team was Nate Adam, aka Captain Atom. Adam was a former Air Force pilot given powers by a nuclear accident. Together, they formed the Avengers.
While the Justice League focused their attention on the Injustice Gang and their allies, the Avengers focused on the terrorist organizations HYDRA and the newly formed AIM.

HYDRA continued to attack the free people of the world, but the Avengers managed to begin turning the tide. It was discovered they were lead by Baron Helmut Zemo, the son of a prominent member of HYDRA’s past. Still, Zemo managed to slip between Cap’s fingers every time they came face to face, often thanks to interference from Rumlow, who now went by the name Crossbones.

AIM, aka Advanced Idea Mechanics, was a group of radical scientists hellbent on the overthrow of society to start a technology and science dominated one. The Avengers took on their mechanical and biological monsters many times, even coming in contact with their hideous and enigmatic leader MODOK.

Captain America is now comfortably leading the Avengers, all the while searching for Rumlow and Zemo to pay back the betrayal of Task Force X. But even now as things seem to be falling into predictable patterns, the ghosts of the past will catch up to Stephanie in terrible and surprising ways.

As the offspring of Captain America, Stephanie has a level of her father’s spectacular supersoldier abilities. She is super strong, fast, agile, dexterous, has incredible endurance, and heals faster than a normal person. The super soldier serum in her DNA also enhanced her mind, giving her keen strategic thinking.

After SHIELD activated her, Steph received extensive training in hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, stealth and infiltration, and combat tactics. She also was gifted her father’s shield, the one thing not lost with him. She uses it as well as he ever did, and it’s almost like an extension of her mind.

Stephanie’s loadout when in the field normally consists of her shield, a set of specialized combat armor, and Stark-designed gauntlets that fire hardened disks similar to the shield.

Supporting Cast

Nick Fury - Fury is the director of SHIELD and an old ally of Stephanie’s father. He was one of the test subjects for the incomplete and unstable version of the Project Rebirth serum, which granted him an unnatural long life instead of the intended physical enhancements. Fury is a smart, capable, and talented soldier and leader. Steph looks up to him greatly, and values his advice. While he sees her as an invaluable asset and exemplary leader for the Avengers, Fury keeps her, as he does everyone, at arms distance.

Ted “Wildcat” Grant - Grant is a former prize fighter, vigilante, and acquaintance to Fury. When Stephanie was brought in for training, Fury approached Grant to help train the new Captain America in hand-to-hand combat. Ted jumped at the chance, knowing it was his last chance to do some good. Wildcat and Cap bonded immediately, and Steph found in him a father figure she had never had before. He continues to mentor her.

Sharon Carter - Stephanie’s mother is a former SHIELD agent. She now lives with Stephanie in SHIELD facilities, and guides her daughter through the tougher times as a hero and leader of the Avengers.

Natasha Romanoff - A former spy and assassin, Romanoff was the first person recruited to Cap’s team. The two of them are nearly inseparable friends at this point, and Natasha is Steph’s go to team member when picking someone to go into the field with.

Clint Barton - Hawkeye and Cap have a brother/sister like relationship. The two often snipe at one another, but are like clockwork on the battlefield. Having fought together for so many years, the two seemingly have a psychic link.

Luke Cage - A former member of Steph’s team, Cage is now a superhero for hire. While he rarely fights with the Avengers, Cage provides invaluable intel as someone plugged into street and low-level crime. He now resides in New York City.

Hank Pym - The scientist and hero known as Ant-Man, Pym is part of the Avengers. Pompous and hard-headed, Pym and Steph often but heads, leading to friction on the team. Still, his ability to shrink is important to stealth missions, and his scientific mind allows for great inventions like the Avengers’ mode of transportation, the Quinjet.

Janet van Dyne - Pym’s girlfriend and fellow scientist, she uses the Pym Particles and special stinger blasters to become the hero known as Wasp.

Nathaniel Adam - Captain Atom is the most militant and reserved of the Avengers. He has an unwavering dedication to the US Government. Still, he is completely loyal to the Avengers’ cause, and is the team’s powerhouse.

Antagonists

HYDRA - The old enemy of both Stephanie’s father and herself, the reformed HYDRA is a constant thorn in SHIELD’s side. Ruthless, fanatical, and deadly, HYDRA’s influence can be felt throughout the world.

Baron Helmut Zemo - The current head of HYDRA, Zemo desires world domination for he and his organization. He holds a grudge against Cap and her father after Rogers apprehended his grandfather in World War II.

Crossbones - Brock Rumlow was once part of Stephanie’s team until he revealed himself to be a HYDRA spy and traitor. Cap now desperately wants to capture Rumlow and make him pay for the betrayal.

The Serpent Society - After the fall of Kobra, the snake themed group of villains and assassins joined with HYDRA.

A.I.M. - Advanced Idea Mechanics desires the overthrow of society in the hope for a technologically dominated society.

MODOK - The hideous and violent leader of AIM, he, or it, desires the domination of humanity.

As always, I want to tell the Captain America story from a different perspective. While I’ve never been able to get this concept going before, with an established universe and characters, I think I can finally do it. I’d like to do some fun things with AIM and HYDRA, including melding some Indy touches to them. I also have some interesting ideas on what to do with some classic Cap rogues and characters that haven’t been introduced or played an important role in-universe yet.

Idk hwat position to put him in but he definitely helps train the other Caps that took the mantle. So I'd think he'd help train Steph..if not specifically just cause she's Steve's kid. Though I had ideas between Cap and Bucky if you wanted to discuss.

October 5th, 1948 | Remnants of HYDRA attack several SHIELD facilities using surprising effective intelligence clueing in that they have been waiting to re-emerge for sometime. They steal the second version of the REBIRTH serum that was used on James Barnes.

June 22nd, 1958 | The US Government sends James Barnes and the Invaders to reacquire the serum from HYDRA, the mission is successful but not at a cost as the serum is destroyed in the process.

There is some hints from the prebuild that James Barnes became the Captain America of the later 20th Century for a time, but eventually retired the mantle when the fight with HYDRA was dealt with? I'm not sure about the specifics of the specifics since this was all when we were brainstorming about four months ago.

I would say it doesn't put much at conflict with Stephanie Carter, especially when a James Barnes sheet isn't written and posted for you to go off of in the first place. But yeah, name of the game is cooperation and such so I'm sure you guys will work it out.

1900’s – 1950; Legacy

The story of one Thaddeus Ross starts with his Grandfather, Gerald Jefferies Ross. Gerald Ross was born in 1896, to a retired veteran and waitress. Gerald was the first member of the Ross family in decades to become a successful commissioned officer in the military. While there had been others before him, none had ever past the ranking of a grunt. Gerald was a skilled leader during the Great War, proving himself many times over. He commanded a group known as the ‘Thunderbolts,’ an infamous company of 200 of the best soldiers the United States had to offer at the time. The Thunderbolts earned their fame when they became trapped behind enemy lines, alongside two other companies of marines. The German forces surrounded the seven hundred soldiers, and slaughtered nearly six hundred and fifty of them before reinforcements arrived. Two thirds of the survivors of the battle were part of Ross’s Thunderbolts. Each man received a Silver Star, as well as the Defensive Sector battle clasp. Gerald Ross retired from the military as a major. Gerald married Maria Ross, his high school sweetheart, a month after returning to the states.

Benjamin Thomas Ross was born in the year 1919. He lived a relatively simple life, having exemplary grades during school. Benjamin’s mother died in 1925, officially to some form of cancer. In reality, she had been poisoned by an unclean syringe during a routine checkup a year before Benjamin’s conception. Unknown to any parties involved, however, this unfortunate accident would save Thaddeus’ life in the not too distant future. Gerald mourned his Maria’s death, and fell into rampant alcoholism a few years later.

When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, Benjamin found himself, like many Americans, horrified and afraid. No one had dared attack the United States on their own soil since the War of 1812. However, that attitude of fear was replaced with righteous indignation, and a will to enact justice, after President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s speech to the nation. Ben and Gerald had been glued to the radio for what seemed like days, listening for all the news on the war as they could get their hands on. Benjamin enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps on his eighteenth birthday; this also marked the day that Gerald ben his own personal campaign to put aside his addiction to liquor forever.

Benjamin proved himself an ace pilot during the Second World War. He downed a total of 58 enemy Aircraft while fighting the Japanese in the Pacific campaign. A number of commentators praised Ross for his talents, ranking him in the top one hundred pilots of the time. He earned the nickname ‘Thunderbolt’ after both his father’s company, as well as his tendency to fly the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt in combat sorties. He was awarded a number of medals for his valor and leadership skills. In his old age, Thunderbolt Ross Senior commonly recalled a story of the time he crashed a plane into a Japanese destroyer in order to sink it, preventing the Japs from attacking his retreating squad mates. While the Army Air Corps never officially confirmed the story, they did confirm that Ross was rescued from the Japanese navy a few months after the incident supposedly occurred. Ben married Wendy Ross a few years after the end of the war.

1951 – 1966; Early Life

Thaddeus Edwin Ross was born on December 1st, 1950. At this time, his father was a Brigadier General, and their family was living comfortably. As a child, Thaddeus grew up listening to stories about famous soldiers and generals from across time; his favorite stories, however, were about his father and grandfather. The Thunderbolts’ Stand was of particular enjoyment for Thaddeus. The child was influenced heavily by his grandfather, who frequently visited his grandson and daughter-in-law.

One day at school, when Thaddeus was in the third grade, the teacher started asking students who their heroes were. Most of the children would say something along the lines of the Flash, Captain America or Green Lantern. Thaddeus, however, named his grandfather. Some of the more ignorant students laughed at Ross: the young Thunderbolt, however, remained steadfast in his ideas. His dad and granddad saved lives, and they did so without superpowers or magic rings or secret serums. Such thinking would influence Thaddeus throughout the rest of his life.

During High School, Thaddeus graduated Valedictorian of his class. While some of his more skeptical critics would recall that Thaddeus wasn’t a genius, Thaddeus was most certainly driven: when the man set a goal, he finished it. Wanting to follow in the footsteps of his father, Thaddeus began practicing flying aircraft. He turned out to be a natural, just like his father. These skills would not go unnoticed by the United States Air Force for long.

Thaddeus enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 1st, 1967, faking his enlistment forms. Ross was pushed to the edge during basic training; yet, he did not waver. Thaddeus never even entertained the thought of quitting when things became difficult. He was promoted to Corporal before being shipped off to join the fight in Vietnam.

1967 – 2001; Military Career, Marriage, and birth of Betty; Pre-Hulk

Thaddeus spent the first four years of his time in the service in Thailand, maintaining and refueling aircraft and assisting in training Thai and Vietnamese pilots. The tasks were mundane, but Thaddeus’ iron will kept him in line and in check. Thaddeus took the flight test, and scored unusually high; while not on the level of Benjamin Ross, Thaddeus was talented indeed. The military took two and a half years to train Thaddeus in the use of military aircraft; he was rated in the top three of his class of one hundred and twelve.

Thaddeus spent the rest of the Vietnam War piloting the F-4 Phantom II, alongside his co-pilot Glenn Talbot. The two performed a number of bombings runs, reconnaissance missions, deforestation, and close-air support sorties. Thaddeus and Talbot specialized in Napalm and Agent Orange bombing runs. Ross visited a psychiatrist after the war, haunted by what he had done and seen done. He stopped coming back after a month.

Both Thaddeus and Glenn were awarded a variety of medals for their services in the war. The pair participated in Operations Linebacker I and II, being a part of the wing that hit Hanoi in a daylight raid. The attacks were devastating for both sides. While Hanoi’s infrastructure and defenses were weakened by the barrage, 100 aircraft were shot down during these two offensives. Ross and Talbot barely escaped some of those raids, nearly going down on three separate incidents. In 1973 Ross and Talbot were grounded, and went their separate ways. Ross went on to become a base guard, while Talbot joined Airlift operations on the front.

When the war finally ended and Ross was shipped back to America, he returned home to live with his family for a few years. When his grandfather, Gerald, died, Thaddeus was devastated. His invincible childhood hero turned out to be only a man. At the funeral, Thaddeus became acquainted with Karen Lee, daughter of a friend of the family. The two began to date, until in 1982, when Karen and Thaddeus were married. This marked the happiest point in Ross’ life thus far. Nine and a half months later, their daughter, Betty Ross, was born. During this time, Thaddeus met Brian Banner, who would later become a close friend. Little did Ross know, Brian’s son, Betty’s best friend, would play a pivotal role in Thaddeus’ life.

After moving around for a few years and living on various air force bases, Thaddeus saw action once more during the Invasion of Grenada. He ran a few scouting missions, but was mostly confined to protecting American airspace, and the occasional bombing run on isolated targets.

In 1984, Ross, now a major, is sent to Central Asia to join the fight against the dreaded Mandarin. This is the first time since Thaddeus’ childhood that the actions of superheroes and villains have actually had any sort of impact on his life. In fact, he would have forgotten about the whole idea of ‘superhumans’ all together, had it not been for the constant propaganda that the government insisted on circulating. This also marked the first time Thaddeus worked with the likes of SHIELD. He ran a number of combat sorties against the forces of the terrorist known as the Mandarin. Ross’ favored plane, the A-10 Thunderbolt, peaked during this period. Ross continued to earn a number of medals and recommendations for promotion to colonel throughout this time. In 1990, Ross was promoted to the rank of colonel.

2001 – 2008; Tragedy

In 2001, tragedy struck the world. The terrorists known as Al-Qaeda attack the Twin Towers with airliners. Ross was outraged. How dare they attack the greatest nation on the planet! The cowards wouldn’t even fight them; using such disgusting tactics as suicide bombings on civilian targets. Ross, irate beyond measure, was in line with the rest of America when Bush called for a response: thus, the Gulf War began. This was the last time Ross would fly combat sorties; after the conflict ended, Thaddeus was promoted to Brigadier General. Much to Ross’ dismay, he found himself shipped back to the states. He was told to ‘take some time off.’ He would remain with his family in California until 2005. On April 3rd, 2005, Karen Ross, Thaddeus' wife, was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She died a year later. Thaddeus found himself mourning the death of his wife for nearly three years, slowly becoming bitter and angry. Why couldn’t he have helped her? Why couldn’t the heroic Thunderbolt Ross do anything to help?! Money could not buy a cure for cancer. He could not fight it with plane or fist. He was left to rot in his own self guilt, growing slowly apart from Betty. Meanwhile, Betty and Bruce Banner were getting closer.

In 2006, Thaddeus and Betty moved to New Mexico, along with the Banner’s. Bruce and Thaddeus were assigned to Project Gamma Bomb. Bruce would spend the next two years designing and perfecting the weapon, while Thaddeus focused on keeping the weapon a secret and the base secure. What kind of job was that? He was a general, not a Rottweiler! If Thaddeus’ superiors had truly carried about him, they would send him back to the Middle East to fight the terrorists. But no, they needed some old dog in a tattered uniform to protect some sand and a bomb that would never work anyway. Everyone was out to get old Thunderbolt Ross. They said the weapon was a response to the recent extraterrestrial attack on earth. Ross didn't care much: there were capes for that sort of thing. The military should focus on humanity’s actual problems.

2009 – 2010; Genesis

Fate had decided that General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross needed a break from all the heart ache and pain. On February 6th, 2009, Bruce Banner scheduled the first test of his ‘Gamma Bomb.’ The weapon was supposedly able to wreak massive destruction, without killing a soul. Ross didn't see the point. The first rule of war: there will always be casualties.

The day of the test, the General, along with all of the top staff of the facility housing project Gamma Bomb, stood inside a small bunker, expecting to see history in the making. They did, but not in the way they had first thought. A young man, perhaps in his mid-twenties, had stupidly wandered out into the middle of the testing area. Bruce Banner barely managed to spot him, moments before the start of the test. Banner, a naturally compassionate soul, tried to play hero. He tried to save the boy. Ross thought him a fool at the time. On his way out, he shouted at his team to shut the bomb down. However Samuel Sterns, one of the eggheads working with Banner on the project, had sabotaged the bomb. The failsafe mechanism, ironically, failed.

Both Bruce Banner and Rick Jones were caught in the weapon's blast when it detonated. Green light washed over the testing fields, as Ross and the others in the bunker looked on in a mixture of awe and terror. The shockwave created by the explosion caused a ripple in the sand, sending dust and particles in all directions and obstructing their view. From the fog of sand came a breathtaking roar. The sound was impossible - inhuman. What could have possibly produced such a screech? As the cloud dissipated, Ross and a number of security personnel rushed onto the scene. The general caught sight of a monster covered in a cobalt carapace leaping away from the horde of oncoming American soldiers. The creature disappeared into the morning air, over the nearby mountains and moving into the deserts of New Mexico. The horrified cries of confusion predated the screaming orders to open fire, and Ross' attention was brought to his second problem: A giant green man in purple pants was being shot at by his troops. The small arms fire only seemed to annoy the monster.

Battle was met, as the United States Armed Forces engaged in its first bout with the beast that would become known as the Hulk. A pair of Boeing AH-64 Apache returning from patrol let loose all of their armaments onto the tough hide of the behemoth. The colossus, still in its infancy and lacking in conviction, fell to their firepower. Thunderbolt Ross ordered the Hulk to be restrained, and contacted the brass. The military's leadership decided that the best course of action would be to study the monster, and sent Doctor Leonard Samson, an expert on gamma radiation, second only to the then-thought-to-be late Bruce Banner. A number of blood tests later and Doc Samson learned that the Hulk was none other than Doctor Banner himself, as the two shared similar genetic markers. He theorized that Bruce had been mutated by the gamma radiation, and turned into the monstrosity that had been dubbed the Hulk.

When Ross brought all of this before the top military generals and the pentagon, the general decided on a new, radical course of action. Project Gamma Bomb would be reassigned to a new undertaking, codenamed Project Eternal Warrior. The purpose of this project was to attempt to recreate the Hulk, and re-purpose the monster and his offspring to serve as Super Soldiers for the military. At first, the idea was met with severe opposition. Such things as ethics, morality, the Geneva Convention, financial cost, and probability of success were some of the many reasons the majority believed this to be a terrible idea. The Secretary of Defense had Doctor Samson run the numbers for him; Samson hypothesized that such a pursuit was both financially and scientifically possible. The pentagon was not impressed, however. They needed proof that Eternal Warrior was worth the time and resources set forth by Doctor Samson. Ross had Bruce Banner locked up and shipped off to Alaska, where the leviathan would be hunted by a group of experimental combat drones provided by one Tony Stark, nicknamed Hulkbuster units. This was all much to the dismay of Betty Ross, who wanted nothing more than for her distant father and the military to leave her friend alone. She loved Bruce too much to allow this to happen to him.

Thaddeus wouldn't listen to his daughter, and sent the creature to be put up to the ultimate test: survival.

Arriving in Alaska, Bruce was dropped out of a helicopter. The man turned into beast as the Hulk crashed into the snow, and the fight began. Wave after wave of military-grade battle suits were sent to engage the gamma-irradiated giant, and wave after wave fell before his powerful fists. As the bodies piled up around the behemoth, the creature roared out a phrase that would resonate with Ross for the rest of his natural born life:

"HULK IS STRONGEST THERE IS!"

Hundreds of mechanical warriors at his feet, the Hulk leaped away. The military, know knowledgeable of the Hulk's true power, dared not pursue. No one, not even Ross, had expected the creature to defeat so many drones, let alone escape. The test a resounding success, the Pentagon approved Project Eternal Warrior. Doctor Samson and Thaddeus Ross returned to New Mexico with a large sum of cash to fund the project as well as nearly two hundred of the top scientific minds on the military's payroll. It took nearly the rest of the year, but the combination of near-endless working hours and the top experts on Gamma radiation and metahuman genetics available allowed Doctor Samson and his team to gain a working knowledge of the Hulk's genome. The team planned to continue their research until they mapped the entirety of Hulk's genome, but the continued rise in mutant activity within US borders as well as the drastic increase in superhumans operating in the United States outside of the government's influence forced the Pentagon's hand. The Secretary of Defense demanded a Hulk or their own by the beginning of 2010.

Ross tried to obtain more time to work for his scientists. But the Pentagon wouldn't budge, and instead decided to send them Emil Blonsky, as well as the serum they had used on him in the 90s. Emil was a Russian-born spec ops soldier who worked for the Royal Marines until he was transferred to the U.S military. Emil was part of a program that attempted to remake the serum that made Captain America, and was injected with a serum of similar chemical makeup. The serum worked, to a degree. However, the test subjects (Blonsky included) were all diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Blonsky was only given until 2012 to live. The Pentagon believed Samson and his cohorts could use the serum in some manner. Leonard managed to improve the serum, and decided that it would work well to bond the gamma-irradiated cells of Doctor Banner with those of another human being without compromising their life.

On January 1, 2010, the Eternal Warrior serum was ready for human trials. The volunteers chosen for Eternal Warrior were: General Thaddeus Ross, Colonel Emil Blonsky, Yuri Topolov, Samuel Sterns, Doctor Samson, and Joe Fixit. Each individual received radical changes to their physical appearances, abilities, and intelligence. Ross became the Red Hulk; in this form, Thaddeus retains his own intellect and can think clearly. He is one of the physically strongest of the Eternal Warrior test subjects, second only to Emil Bonsky.

A week after the tests apparent success, however, things seem to fall apart. Emil is having problematic anger management issues, and frequently destroys military property in his outbursts. Yuri Topolov and Samuel Sterns seemed to have disappeared after a fire was set to one of the buildings used as a training center for the Eternal Warriors. Doctor Samson is called away to treat a woman, Jenna Walters, for intense gamma radiation poisoning. Joe Fixit went AWOL not a day later. Now, Ross and Blonsky are being called to put together a team to hunt down and find the missing members of the Eternal Warriors project, minus Samson. Thunderbolt Ross accepts the challenge.

In Red Hulk form, Ross displays an incredible amount of strength, going as far as even being stronger in base force than the Savage Hulk (although the latter would eventually overpower the former due to his rage factor). As with The Hulk, Red Hulk can lift with incredible ease more than 100 metric tons and have a strength threshold far beyond what has been currently seen, although his strength is hampered by his heat generation and lack of a similar strength building mechanism as his green ancestor.

While as the Green Hulk can build upon his base strength through gamma generation in his cellular structure, Red Hulk has, so far, been seen as being unable to perform a similar feat, most likely due to the complex radioactive and cosmic cocktail that helped create him in the first place. However, he did display prominently an ability to forcibly drain the energy out of an enemy though physical contact (or even close proximity to his body) and use it to magnify his already huge power level. Although this ability has seemingly been short-circuited in an attempt to drain the Omegex, it is unclear whether he still retains the increased power level from his energy vampirism or if it was a temporary injection of force.

A significant downside that Red Hulk has compared to the green Hulk is that his body cannot support the intense heat he generates if his temper flares out of control. Unlike most creatures that would normally just sweat it out, the heat is so intense that every liquid would most likely evaporate instantaneously, essentially baking Red Hulk from the inside-out. This in turn makes him very dizzy, lose conscious control of his body and cause intense pain if allowed to increase further.

He is also shown to have a severe reaction to Negative Energy when absorbed, causing intense pain beyond the threshold for a hulk and possibly generate an allergic reaction within his physiognomy. He is also weak to mental attack, mainly because his rage does not envelop his mind entirely like it does when the Hulk goes into rage mode.

Red Hulk can function for extended periods without intake of food, oxygen and water. However, it is seen that he oftentimes eats whole carcasses of cooked animals (ex. deer, cows etc.) and might signify an energy balance factor seen primarily in shrew-like animals, where to maintain an extremely high body temperature and subsequent physical energy, the body requires immense intake of protein. However, as he is not seen to eat in bulk often, it is unsure whether this is the case or not for Red Hulk, or even the Green Hulk for that matter.

As with the Green Hulk, Red Hulk possesses an incredibly fast healing factor. However, while his counterpart is able to regenerate more and more with anger, this isn't possible for Rulk as his strength levels cannot increase in rage. This does not mean that he has a less potent healing factor. It just means that it cannot be accelerated as fast as that of The Incredible Hulk.

He is also seen to have a weakness for bladed objects, but this may be due to the fact that Red Hulk is attacked more often with stakes and swords than his counter-part, who often deals more in physical or energy attacks. Despite these very minor differences, Red Hulk can still repair wounds normally permanently debilitating for humans (ex. regenerate new eyes after having them cut open by Wolverine's claws). This regeneration also helps to keep Red Hulk in a semi-permanent mature state. Though it should be remarked that the green hulk would have healed the eye slash far quicker than red hulk, which seems to imply that though red hulks Healing powers are strong, they are not stronger than the Original hulks.

This means that Red Hulk cannot physically age as a standard human can. For him to start resembling someone of old age, he's have to be in hulk form permanently for over a century. His body continually regenerates damaged tissue, meaning he is immune to most known diseases, including the Techno-organic Virus (of which he managed to "sweat out" by increasing his body temperature to destroy the virus.) It is also possible that this regeneration has also caused him to reverse the aging process, essentially making himself physically younger than his real age intends. If Red Hulk does end up surviving all the threats on his person, there is the possibility that he will remain alive for essentially eternity.

Red Hulk has an incredibly durable body, and has physically been able to withstand a direct blow to the face with Thor's hammer Mjolinir, only to laugh it off with only an "X" caved into his face. He has also taken on multiple super-humans at one time, effectively shaking them off and decisively beating them multiple times. Though Powerhouses Such as Hulk and thor still damage him, and in time it may result in a ko.

His skin and muscle, being as thick and dense as it is, allows for Rulk to survive deep sea depth equal to those seen in the Marianas Trench with no ill physical effects outside of the need for oxygen. He can also withstand direct contact with molten lava and can operate in a fiery environment with little worry of external damage. His body is tough enough to survive the conditions of space itself, at one point not only jumping to the moon while dragging Thor behind him, but also leaping back to Earth and surviving unscathed a deep crater-forming impact.

However, unlike the other Hulk, the Red Hulk in particular has a weakness to sharp objects. Characters such as Wolverine and Punisher managed to pierce the Red Hulk's hide.

Rulk has an almost unending supply of stamina, able to theoretically fight for days on end without stopping. He can also force himself to stay awake for several months, functioning solely of adrenaline and lingering stamina. He can also recuperate immensely quickly lost stamina; he'd be able to jump back into the fray of battle, even after being impaled, gutted etc.

Rulk cannot, as stated above, build strength the same way as the Incredible Hulk can. However, he was able to build his immense strength levels further by draining power from enemies and applying it to his own force. Similarly to the way Rogue's absorption abilities work, except that a brush of the skin, unless intentional, does not harm unintended victims and he cannot gain never before seen abilities as she can.

Red Hulk can also release the stored collected energy in his body all at once in an fire-like way, knocking back enemies as well as burning them. He can also, at times, light himself on fire with this same energy when in a rage, seemingly breathing fire as he snarls animalistically at his enemies.

But when Red hulk absorbs too much energy, he overloads, the red she Hulk even described rulk as a " Reactor without a cooling system', there for too much energy makes hulk very tired and dizzy.

Emil Blonsky AKA Abomination: Emil Blonsky was born in Russia and raised in England, where he eventually joined the Royal Marines of the British Armed Forces. He was transferred to the United States military and became a test subject for a project attempting to replicate the serum that made Captain America. With the proper formula under lock and key at SHIELD, the military made its own version. The desired effects were achieved, but not without cost. Emil developed a rare form of cancer, and would die early. The serum in his blood made Emil invaluable to Doc Samson's attempts to recreate the Hulk. Thanks to Emil, Eternal Warrior was a success. Now capable of transforming into a hulk-like beast at will, Emil struggles to control his rage as the indomitable Abomination!

Doctor Leonard Samson AKA Doc Samson: Doctor Samson is a brilliant scientist, and expert in the field of Gamma radiation. He also has a secondary degree in psychiatry. Born in the Mid-West, Doctor Samson moved to New York to pursue his interests in all things scientific. He graduated at the top of his class, and went on to work with Bruce Banner for a time at a local cancer research center. When Samson was moved to Project Eternal Warrior, he was transformed into a much stronger man. He was no longer the small, physically decrepit gentleman who had won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work with the United Nations. Now, he was the physical powerhouse known as the Phenomenal Doc Samson!

Glenn Talbot: Born in Smallville, Glenn Talbot is a simple man. Born on a farm, he believed it man's divine right to be the 'top of the food chain,' so to speak. You can imagine how he felt when men who could fly and shoot lasers out of their eyes started to appear: he felt threatened. Man's place in history was being stolen from right under their noses, and most people didn't have a clue. Glenn joined his old Airforce buddy, Ross, at Gamma base, in the hopes that they could even the playing field against these mutants and monsters. Colonel Talbot leads the Hulkbuster units, occasionally from the frontline, but usually from very far away.

Elizabeth 'Betty' Ross: Born in California, Betty was the only child of Air Force General Thaddeus Ross and his wife Karen Lee. Karen died when Betty was a teenager, and Ross shut Betty out of his life, claiming that a military base was no place for a young woman. Betty went off to boarding school. She returned to Thaddeus' home after finishing school but then, as for much of her life, she found that little had changed in his attitude towards her. By now Thaddeus was in charge of the top secret Gamma Bomb Project at Gamma Base in New Mexico. When Bruce, her best friend and secret love interest, was turned into the Hulk, she was devastated. She argued in his favor every night with her father, but Ross wouldn't listen. Betty decided it was best to love home for awhile, and moved in with a friend from boarding school in Nevada.

Jennifer Walters: Jennifer Walters, the meek and mousy lawyer cousin of Bruce Banner, was the daughter of Sheriff Morris Walters. She was recently exposed to high amounts of Gamma radiation when she drank a Pingo Doce. Doctor Leonard Samson recently arrived at her home in Brooklyn, and has been treating her for the past few days. He doesn't know if she'll make it; Jennifer's condition is steadily worsening.

Robert Bruce Banner AKA The Hulk: (Leaving this ambiguous, in case someone wants to come along and play him)

Rick Jones AKA A-Bomb: Richard "Rick" Jones was orphaned at a young age, and after being expelled from several orphanages for disciplinary reasons he was placed into a state institution called Tempest Town. A troubled and rebellious youth, Jones soon came to the attention of the institution's chief administrator who smashed his guitar, a gift from his late father, and then had him severely thrashed. Soon afterward, Jones ran away from the institution. He spent the first half of his teens drifting from town to town throughout the Southwest, trying to avoid the juvenile authorities, and doing menial work when he could get it.

At age 16, he got his driver's license and managed to save enough money to buy a used car. Overhearing a teenager dare a friend to ride out with him on the desert where it was rumored an atomic bomb was going to be tested, Jones offered to take him upon the challenge. He drove his car out to the test site to discover his challenger was too timid to show up. Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, designer of the Gamma Bomb to be tested, learned that someone had ventured onto the test site, and believing the countdown had been delayed, ran out into the desert to warn him back. Both Banner and Jones were caught in the blast, however, and Rick Jones was transformed into the monstrous A-Bomb! A-Bomb was last seen heading down the East Coast, reeking havoc upon whatever cities he encountered.

The Mandarin

Samuel Sterns AKA The Leader: Samuel Sterns is a run of the mill radiation scientist, who's never lived up to his parents' expectations and has always lived in the shadow of greater experts than he, like Bruce Banner and Doctor Samson. A jealous and conniving man, Samuel would do anything to get ahead of the competition and prove himself the smartest being to ever walk planet Earth. Samuel Sterns set out sabotaging Banner and Ross every step of the way, keeping to the shadows so as not to be discovered. When Project Eternal Warrior was announced, he eagerly volunteered. Sterns found himself transformed into a physically meager creature. Yet his mind was altered. Samuel Sterns was gifted a brain more powerful than most men. Having engineered his and Yuri's escape into the New Mexico wilderness, Samuel Sterns strikes at his old enemies as the enigmatic Leader!

Yuri Topolov AKA Gargoyle: Born in Soviet Russia, Yuri's parents escaped the iron curtain and moved to America to give their Yuri a better chance in life. Yuri was a child-prodigy, graduating from college at the age of sixteen. He became a world-class geneticist, obsessed with discovering the reason for the existence of superhumans. Yuri was brought on to Project Eternal Warrior by the Pentagon, and worked closely with Doctor Samson as the top expert on DNA in the project. Yuri found himself permanently disfigured, and turned into a hideous yet powerful creature thanks to Eternal Warrior. He works closely with Samuel Sterns, battling the American military as the terrifying Gargoyle!

Joe Fixit AKA The Grey Hulk: Born in Las Vagas, Joe Fixit worked as a bodyguard at a local casino. Eventually he got in trouble with the authorities, and had to choose between jail time and military life. Joe chose to join the military, and after basic training became a security guard at Gamma base in New Mexico. Joe decided to volunteer for the Eternal Warrior program, and was accepted on account of his many years working at Gamma base with few reports of misdemeanor. Joe Fixit was transformed into a grey-skinned Hulk. Physically superior to only the Leader and Doc Samson, Joe Fixit retains his intelligence while hulked out. However, he cannot transform back into his human body like Bruce Banner, Emil Blonsky and Thaddeus Ross. He recently went AWOL, and returned to Las Vagas and became a crime lord, eager to continue his previous life as the devious and astonishing Grey Hulk!

My goals? My goals are pretty simple, and straight forward: I want to give Thunderbolt Ross the story he deserves. In the comics, the Red Hulk was created by one Jeph Loeb. Every story he's appeared in thus far (within the mainstream Marvelverse) has been all action, and no character development. The Red Hulk is my favorite anti-hero, by and large. The idea of General Ross in a Hulk's body sounds fantastic to me. I want to do Ross justice, to do for him what his actual writers couldn't: I want to make Red Hulk a meaningful, emotional character with more depth than "I like to punch things." I plan to immerse him into the world of Maximum Comics, in the hopes of establishing him as something greater than what his Comics make him out to be.

Potential story arcs: Few of these are set in stone, these mostly exist to give a guide to myself and to let other players know the direction I intend to take with the character. These are in no particular order, either.

Hunting down the other Hulks (Eternal Warriors rejects, and the Incredible variety)
Formation of the Thunderbolts (This will start out as a military hitsquad, similar to the Suicide Squad, that recruits anti-heroes and uses them as a force for America and her interests)
Fighting for the American military (Against the Mandarin, internal threats, terrorists, ect)
Joining SHIELD in its wars on HYDRA and AIM (Perhaps becoming an Agent? More likely, just an ally)

Superhuman Registration Act (Ross is very much anti-vigilante, and will be using his slowly amassing political leverage to lobby within the government for laws to be made against 'superheroes')
