A continent would work, I was thinking that it could be something like Asia (europe included) size when it comes to scale.

Well, any mountainous above 3km height would be permanently frozen.
Also if we assume the mountains are at least roughly to scale this map has the diameter of circa 500km, give or take a few hundred kilometers.
Smaller than certain countries nowadays.
Then again, for the kind of freeform RP the GM appears to plan the map would be only an illustration to help people to imagine the world instead of something which we update nonstop.

As for climate we can assume that the edge of the map is something like the Equator while territories to the north get steadily coler in climate. No artic worlds since none of the nations' territory would touch the poles but something like fantasy Scandinavia is perfectly plausible with this.
So:
- up, cold/tundra climates
- middle, moderate climates
- down, moderate/tropical climates

I think something like this should work.

Anyways, I'm interested.
Albeit I wonder about the magic and technology stipulations for this game.
Roughly what level of technology and magic are allowed from the beginning? Typical fantasy medieval setting?
