Well, they did say they might be back. If they are back before the RP starts I'll let them take my place

Why do you even want to take someone's place. You could just make a CS and hop in with the rest of us, there's no need to replace anyone.

Original post said he was looking for 4 conspirators. I was hoping the GM would post saying he didn't mind 5

If you joined, we would have 3 of the 4 people he wanted.

Clearly my quick read through this comments section was not enough.

Also, what actually is an English muffin?

No, those are Tesco muffins. English muffins are a race of sentient muffins with British accents, monocles, and truly British mustaches. Also, English muffins that are in positions of power (E.G. Prime ministers or monarchs) wear top hats.

So do these 'English Muffins' have a constitutional monarchy? Did the King Muffin at the time sign a magna carta?

I wouldn't know. They reveal very little of their internal affairs to outsiders.

The English Muffin has brought me here.

Welcome.

There is no point in trickery. An arrow to the gullet is a cold, honest fact.

It's not cold if it's a fire arrow (or enchanted). And shots to the gullet seem inefficient, the slow and agonizing death can be averted by magical healing...

Unless you're aiming for me, in which still don't aim for my gullet. Aim at the wall behind me please

Magicka requires thought and concentration. Can you muster both while choking on blood, and the roaring pain of an arrow just ripped through you?

Perhaps not, but remember rule 1 of adventuring: Never go alone

It's hardly like The Elder Scrolls games subscribe to this sort of thinking, but equally the characters depicted have no problems with healing themselves from the direst circumstances and drinking 10 potions in the space of 0 seconds

I always preferred Morrowind's healing. It wasn't instant, you could drink a potion or cast a spell and you would slowly regenerate health. You could also drink more potions to speed up the healing process

The later games sort of lost this, and as a result are really easy. "Oh, low on health, click on potion 5 times and I'm fine again."

Don't you just love game logic?

'And then, sensing he was wounded, the Dragonborn consumed eight whole cheese wheels in the middle of combat'. Yes, I do see how game logic can't really work in real life.

But, while there is the 'don't go alone' principle, there is also the old Assassin saying 'Can't kill what you can't see'.
