The golem staggered and sunk into the ground, not expected the sudden tearing of mana. It looked around confused and weakened for a moment before plunging its arms deep into the earth around it. Suddenly the area around it began decaying at a horrendous rate, until it marked a circle of death, much like the one that had been there at the start of her exam. Upon restoring its power the golem would return the favor, pulling apart the ground with his hands, making a fissure that opened beneath her. However he was not as prone to mercy, for if she feel in he would immediately smash the ground together crumpling the girl into paste if she wasn't careful.

"You should quit talking." The robot said quietly. As soon as ice began forming the robot snapped his fingers, causing sparks to fly onto the blade, setting it aflame. A simple slash sent a wave of fire rippling towards Chen, turning the ice into harmless water drops that splashed against the robot ineffectively. The robot take a ready stance, seemingly awaiting Chen's next move.

The Lich slowly turned to face Ephilates, "And you mock me for not studying? Any Lich is the ultimate coward, too afraid of death to face it. Though the rituals used and efforts required are massive, to one such as I, they are well worth it. Your insults are as pathetic as yourself." The Lich said dismissively and raised his hands as though flipping a table. With his hands rose a massive wave of bones, ripping apart the ground beneath him. Hundreds of bones rose into the air smashing into the spheres, destroying the bones as well as the spheres, though the other skeletons were not similarly protected. As the splinters of bone fell to the ground the Lich fixed Chen with a malicious glare, and the bone shards flew towards him from all sides in a deadly hail of calcium.

Ephilates smiled, now when Apollo came back in control, he could control the rest of the Aura Mines and "Borrow" his power. It truly was some time since he had fought, so he decided to put it all into one blow, if it failed, then at least Apollo could do something.

"Heh, I say the same thing to you, As If I care about what Liches do or say, Theyre a weak race, No wonder I barely see any, You Liches sure as hell like to talk."

Nevermind the Aura Mines, he needed them if he was going to make this work. If the bone shards were coming at him from all sides, the he needed to make an exit. He gathered some energy into his fist and smashed the ground beneath him shattering it into pieces. He was currently underground away from the Liches view probably.

He then began to charge up his power. The Aura Mines began to Dissipitate and turn into Energy for Ephilates. This would be the last attack he would use before handing this over to Apollo. He kept up charging and charging his Aura until he was ready. He then waited for the Lich to make his move so that Ephilates could counter it with his.

Chen jumped over the wave of fire and landed on his feet gracefully. He observed the robot for a few seconds and sighed. "I don't suppose you would be willing to just talk it out. Fine." Chen reached into his soul and concentrated. "The Magician, activate. The Sun, activate. Tarot Reading Art, The Fire of Vulcan." Flames began to sprout up all around the battlefield and were fed large amounts of air to increase their intensity. The fire was a bright white and it was heading directly towards the robot, sort of. Chen could barely control the flames and was sweating heavily from the intense heat.

The robot looked at the flames perplexed. Apparently Chen had missed the whole flame and war theme of the robot, even with the intense flames they were nothing compared to what he had been forged at. Now if it had been any other element with this much power it would have been a different matter, but fire? "If you don't stop talking I Will make you stop." the robot said warningly. Then as the robot's skin shone with energy, it once again charged forward, ignoring the raging flames and striking at Chen with its flaming sword in a powerful horizontal slash.

The Lich merely shook his head, perhaps the human thought he was escaping. Obviously he hadn't been paying attention to where the lich had been getting his bones from. Talk about digging your own grave. With so many options to attack the Lich made a relatively simple one. With a simple gesture thousands upon thousands of bones rose from the ground beneath Ephilates in a pillar of sharpened bone spikes. Along with that the same threat came from above and from the sides. Put simply Ephilates was encased in a spiked bone cage that was rapidly closing in on him. In addition the as the action was carried out the Lich began carving furrows into the ground around him, seemingly creating some sort of ritual circle.

"Ok, I get it! You don't like me talking! The Sun, deactivate! The Empress, activate! Tarot Reading Art, Snow of Niflheim!" The fire stopped quickly and in its place a snowstorm began. Chen knew he shouldn't be busting out such heavy spells, but it seemed as if nothing else was effecting the robot. Chen ducked the slash and formed a sword of ice. It melted almost immediately, but that was sort of the point. Chen threw the water at the robot in hopes of shorting it out. He then rolled to the side to get away from the robot.

Ephilates smirked. Of course he knew about the bones and where they were coming from that was the plan anyways. He wanted to make the Lich keep attacking until the time came. Even though it wouldn't be as strong, Apollo could figure something out. The Lich thought that Ephilates was being stupid or so he thought. Ephilates had fought many battles before even coming in contact with Apollo. As his energy neared max, he began to shine brightly and in a moments notice, everything glew bright. This was an exploison big enough to destroy the surrounding areas at the cost of his energy. Of course he would go to sleep, and for a long, long time.

Ephilates fell to the floor as everything crumbled around him.

Kenny was quick to notice his bullets were ineffective. He calm to a scretching hult as Belle decided to disappear. "Damn what am I suppose to do then!" He asked rhetorically to himself. Distracted by his own thoughts he barely had enough time to become aware of the tile that was descending his way. Luckily for him Belle made a bit of sound that snaped his concentration and allowed him to dodge the tile. He begin to run again in order for that not to happen a second time. "Give me a hint at least!" He replided running in complicated patterns in order to not be hit.

The robot frowned heavily and waved a hand before jumping back, skidding away on the snow, avoiding the water and distancing himself from Chen. At this point Chen would find that if he talked no sound would come out. Apparently the robot hadn't been kidding. Now the robot stood in the middle of the snowstorm, emitting a large amount of heat causing any snow that came near him to fall to the ground melted. It seemed this place had no slope as the only thing moving the water was the wind, and the water seemed unable to sink into the ground. Other than that the robot seemed uncaring, simply watching Chen for his next move.

The lich frowned at the sudden surge of light and energy. He had been planning to use his rune to finish off this fight but it seemed survival was more important. Relatively anyway, its phylactery was still safe so 'death' was irrelevant. The circle glowed and both of them glowed briefly before vanishing. When they reappeared they could still hear the far off rumbling of the collapsing cavern. The Lich turned to his foe's seemingly fallen body and slowly began walking closer, gathering swirling energies in his hand. Perhaps the human had exhausted himself? Surely a fatal mistake if that were so.

Belle sighed and flipped off the ceiling slamming into the ground with her heel sending waves of earth rippling around her, enough to knock someone off their feet if they weren't careful. "Sorry kid, only one hint per session." she said casually and waited to see his next move. She loved giving this test, most of the time they just couldn't figure it out. Not like it was her problem, she thought with a snort of dismissal.

Chen glared at the robot and shook his head. 'The Magician, deactivate.' He felt the drain on his magic lessen greatly and he focused on the snow on the ground. He suddenly pulled his hand up and mass amounts of show on the ground around the robot flew into the air. Chen shut his fist and it all came flying at the robot, melting rapidly. Here's to hoping it makes the robot malfunction from water damage.

This was the moment Apollo had been waiting for. As the Lich grew inches and inches closer to him, he began to charge up some of his energy. The when the Lich was nearly 2 inches away from him, Apollo vanished. The Lich had to be getting his power from somewhere, Tne Blast of Ephilates attack was extremly strong, The Lich had to use alot of Energy to at least transport him. Which led Apollo to believe that he had some sort of Item which he was channeling his power through.
Apollo then appeared behind the Lich, attempting to grab his head and throwing the Lich up into the air, but before he did, he used Plunder to steal some of his abilities, maybe all of them. He then summoned ten skeleton warriors, whom began to shoot arrows towards the Lich. The Shieldsmen were covering the Archers. And three Warriors stood in the front. Apollo had taken of his weighted clothes, at least they were destroyed with Ephilates blast. He then asked the Lich.
"Sorry about the way he acted Mr.Lich, He honestly needs some manners, anyways care to give me a hint?"

"Whoo! Finished!", he spoke, happy. At that time, Flare came into the chambers, just to look at the massive portal he created. "Whoa! What is that?!", he asked, surprised. "It's the thing that will take us to another timeline: The Second Crosser!", Cruz exclaimed proudly. Then, he went to configure the timeline where they would go.

As he configured, Cruz thought about something. "Hey, Flare. Can I ask you something?", he said. Flare looked at him. "Let's say we jump into another timeline and find ourselves. But the ones we'll find are truly more different. For an example, I'm something like a tyrant or along those lines. What would you do?", he finished the question. Flare didn't knew what to answer, he wasn't expecting this sort of questioning from Cruz. "I... I don't know... especially because of that example.", he told the truth. The technomage stopped what he was doing and turned back to his friend. "If I ever found me doing something that's wrong... I would definitely kill myself. Not because it's me, but because I don't want worlds in chaos anymore.", he said. "Cruz...", Flare pondered, worried.

Seeing Flare's worriness, Cruz gave him a smile. "We don't know what will happen in these other timelines. But I know we'll do our best. That's why we have to throw those worries away. That's why I asked that, so I could see your response.", he said. "It's just... hard. It could reflect on you, right?", Flare asked. "No, it won't. We're not from the same timeline so it doesn't matter... if it's not me. If I kill myself, just like I said, it could have a reflection or not.", Cruz said and looked at Flare serious. "Flare... if you find me of another timeline and he's not the me we all know... terminate it. I don't want a corrupt version of myself running amok. You can do that, right?", he said.

BGM: Another Side, Another Story

"... I guess... I have no choice... do I?", Flare spoke. He still couldn't believe that he would do something like that. But he saw he had no choice. And his Cruz's words echoed in his mind.

"I will terminate myself."

Flare breathed heavily. Then, he looked at the other Cruz. "I know you won't believe in me anyway, but I'll speak anyway. You... yourself from another timeline had asked me one thing. That if I found him, doing something unforgivable to the world, I should definitely exterminate it at any cost. And as I can see, you became a tyrant, lusting for power and domination over everything. If that's the case, I don't need to deceive or trick you. What I have to do is..."

Using the cards of Undefined Fate, Flare exploded the manacles holding him. He knew that Life Hacker would definitely play things to "Cruz"'s side, but he wouldn't run. Not now.

"I won't hold back for any emotion. You're not the Cruz I know, you're just a tyrant using his name. And I'll end you, just like the real Cruz asked me!"

As a response to the hostility given so far, Flare shot the eight cards around "Cruz" and blowed them. He didn't expected the battle to be over with just that, but he wouldn't turn it back anymore.

the ground started to shake from the trimmers that the golem was making with his hands, a small part of the earth below her started to open, not taking any chances the girl started to suck the power from the golem, every time the golem used it to break the ground around it. not knowing how much power she was taking from the golem, she created a platform below her keeping her up.

Suddenly the robot's eyes gleamed, "Patience exhausted, offensive mode activated." As soon as Chen raised the snow into the air the robots hurled a blade at him. Then as the snow attempted to crush him two boosters emerged from its heels and it jetted forward, sliding rapidly across the watery ground and rotating. The end result was the robot turning into a deadly spinning top heading straight towards Chen. Of course if Chen tried dodging the rockets would merely activate as soon as Chen moved allowing the robot to follow him effortlessly.

The Lich frowned and re-examined the human with glowing eyes. "Interesting." he muttered before the human tried to attack him from behind. The human grabbed his head and threw it into the air, but the rest of his body didn't follow. As soon as his skull was grabbed the Lich turned and hurled the ball of freezing ice and death magic directly at Apollo's chest. Regardless of out the outcome the Lich- well the Lich's head, turned a disgusted glance towards the undead, this mere human thought to beat him at his own game? A blue light flashed from his eyes and the skeletons were frozen in place.

The Golem frowned as its efforts proved ineffective. It changed tactics, instead focusing on absorbing the energy from everything around it. The area of decaying life grew larger and larger, encroaching on her position. It seemed that if nothing changed the whole forest would be drained of life, and her along with it.

Apollo frowned. If the Lich thouht Ice and Death magic could even hit him, he thought wrong. As for the skeletons they served their purpose. All he needed was tbeir bodies and their weapons. Apollo dashed sidewards, having the blast miss and hit the ground. It froze a small area of the ground. Apollo shook. At least he had his speed. Without his weighted clothes, Apollo was currently extremly fast.

He then grabbed a sword from a skeleton and a shield. He then summoned an Ice sphere and sent it to the head. He then rushed towards the Body. The ice sphere was currently blinding the head from seeing what was going on. Apollo then began to slash at the body of the Lich. The Ice sphere's purpose was just to blind the head from what was going on at the bottom. Of course this was all Apollo assesing the opponent before going 100%, which might not even be enough.

'The Magician, activate! The Empress, deactivate!' Chen blew away the blade back at the robot with all of the force he could muster and jumped back. Right when the robot was going to cut him in half he dissolved into ash once more and reformed a few yards away. He panted with exhaustion and flipped the robot off. Was this thing even beatable? He considered his current skill set and frowned. 'The Magician, deactivate. The Moon, activate. The Chariot, activate." Chen turned invisible and began floating in the air so he didn't make any noise with his footsteps. He began flying around quietly and planned his next move.

Kenny jumped when Belle decided to land obviously noticing a difference in the surrounding area. He stopped and eyed her trying to get a fix on what's this chicks weakness. Kenny was really thanking those pervious classes he took that sharpened his awareness skills. "Knuckles!" He shouted his twin pistols unequiping and are soon replaced by Brass Knuckles. Kenny quickly rushed Belle attempting to hit her with onslaughts of physical attacks. "Not even a bit of advice!!!"

The sword that Chen deflected slammed into the robot with brutal force, ripping one of its arms off. The robot spun in place for a moment confused by Chen vanishing. However instead of whirling to a halt it simply began spitting out blades randomly hoping to hit Chen, since it knew he couldn't have left the area.

The Lich had to suppress laughter. This human though he could actually destroy him by attacking his body of all things? His eyes gleamed, piercing through the cold and allowing him to see the warm life form beneath him. His body tapped one foot on the ground sending out a wave of ice creeping along the ground, creating a slippery terrain. Smooth ice that was practically impossible to grip, after all it wasn't like the Lich needed to walk. His body raised its arm blocking Apollo's first swing, nearly cutting through the bone. Then as Apollo recovered from his swing and tried to keep his footing on the icy ground, the Lich's body exploded outwards, sending bones flying through the air with crushing force. Would Apollo be able to dodge it on the iffy footy? Even he could the Lich's head was hard at work doing the same thing with the other skeletons, creating multiple fields of flying bones spreading throughout the icy battlefield. Truly a poor position for Apollo, even if he attempted to control the bones himself he would have to wrest control of them from the Lich, and the Lich had a few hundred centuries of experience on Apollo.

Belle roared angrily as she batted away his attack easily, "Idiot! Maybe if you'd been paying attention youd've figured this out already!" After effortlessly blocking several more attacks let one of his punched pass right by her, grabbing the arm as it went by and hurling Kenny at the nearest wall. "Maybe if you're nice I'll repeat myself. MAYBE!"

'Holy crap! I actually hurt it!' Chen began dodging blades left and right as they flew all over the place. He wanted to grab them and throw them back but considering the way they glowed red, they probably hurt. Chen flew back to the ground and deactivated The Chariot, landing on his feet lightly. He reactivated The Magician and began using the wind to start flinging blades back at the robot. He moved constantly so he wouldn't be detected and so he wouldn't be skewered.

Apollo frowned. If the Lich thought that he had already won, then he was dead wrong. He had fought on planes like this many times before. Be began to skate throught the Icy field, like if he had some Ice skating shoes on. Apollo then summoned some Ice Spheres, and sent it to collide with the bones, turning them into Ice balls, and making them fall on the ground. Apollo smirked. He thought he had gotten all of them, but he actuallt didnt. Two Bones went flying through Apollo's arm and leg. He shrieked in pain. It hurt extremely. He was loosing alot of blood too.

At this moment, he began to feel the same feeling he had felt when he was with Agatha. That warm sensation. He began to see the sword clearer now. A strange light began to eminate from Apollo's chest, as a hilt of a sword began to come out of his chest. He grabbed the Hilt with his other hand and pulled it out.

"Ascalon...." Apollo said, even though this was the first time hearing of the name. The sword shone brightly, and in a second most of his wounds were healed. This was called the Light of Intervention. A healing Light that could cure almost anything. Curses, Ailments and Physical damage. Apollo grabbed the bones stuck in him and pulled them out. He then looked at the Lich.

"Can I at least have a hint now? The show is about to begin." Apollo said.
