Goro Nyudo Masamune

Goro didn't say anything in response to his Master's decision, only giving a slight nod of acknowledgement. He was sure that the man would see the truth of the manner soon enough, so as long as he got the message that he should remain cautious of the other Master's, then that was fine by him. In truth, while Goro didn't particularly care for the grail, he wasn't in a hurry to return to nothingness just yet. From what little he had seen of the area, it was vastly different from his homeland, and he wanted to get a feel for it, see if anything could inspire him to forge another Masterpiece like what he held in his hands. Looking down at his blade, he couldn't help but crack a satisfied grin, ceasing his maintainence of the blade in order to take a few practice swings with it. The soft keening of the blade as it cut through air was like music to his ears, the type of song that could only be made by a truly beautiful and finely crafted weapon.

Satisfied with his work, he sheathed the weapon in a single fluid motion, rising from where he was when he saw that his master was ready to leave for the meeting. As they walked through the city under the afternoon sun, Goro couldn't help but wonder ever so slightly at the world around him. While the grail had offered him much information, it just wasn't the same as seeing and experiencing it himself. However, as they neared the plaza, Goro remembered another important fact that he should pass on to their Master, cursing himself slightly in his native tongue for forgetting such a crucial fact.

"Master, I forgot to mention another important fact when interacting with other Masters and Servants. You must not speak my true name in front of them under any circumstances, instead addressing me as Saber, the class the grail sought fit to apply to me for this war. This is to keep them from gaining a potential fatal advantage over us in terms of information. I know that you don't completely believe what I say, but do take care to grant me this request, for your sake as much as mine."

Goro himself was taking a risk by not hiding himself, but he disliked the thought of hiding in shadows, plus he could use this to his advantage somewhat in terms of getting an early alliance with another Master Servant pair. Saber was, after all, one of the Knight class, which are generally considered to be rather strong, so one would be more open to teaming up with an ally that seems reasonably strong, but not immensely so. Given his skills, he would need to spend most of his time crafting blades to help defend him and his master, so having another Servant to help with handling that would be very beneficial. That being said, he wouldn't just ally with anyone, as he had to be sure that the other party could be trust for at least some length of time, else they risk opening their backs for a dagger to be planted.

Soon enough, the pair would find themselves at the Plaza, easily noticing the marked building and heading towards it without hesitating, only to find a girl standing in front of the building, clearly a Master if she was to be preparing to enter it. To see a child involved in this ritual filled Goro with some sadness, knowing that the girl would likely bear witness to some gruesome things before this war was done. Knowing he was likely to startle the poor girl, but having no other recourse, he cleared his throat, announcing his presence to her.

"I apologize for interrupting your train of thought, young one, but you are standing . . . somewhat in the way?" As he spoke, Goro turned his eyes towards the strangely dressed man by the girl's side, giving him a slight nod in greeting but not saying anything. It was quite obvious that this man was also a Servant, a rather wild looking one by the looks of it.

Steady, Jack. I know you're eager, but it's much to early to do anything. Just sit back and observe for now. Keep me posted with regular updates, and if I see an opportunity, I'll tell you about it. As it is currently, I can only get an idea of who arrives, so at the very least I can get an idea of who the competition is, if nothing else.

After sending Charles a message through their link, he took control of the familiar again, taking a glance at the group in front of the building currently, noting the man in traditional Japanese garb and the man in the blue unitard. Obviously Servants, with one looking to be a Saber with the sword by his waist. He then turned attention towards the other two in the group, an old man and a young looking girl in a maid outfit. The latter was quite pretty, and if it were another time, he likely would've asked to take a few pictures of her, though it seemed a bit of a strange get-up for Cusco peru of all places.

Perhaps she's just a really dedicated cosplayer?

Plaza San Francisco, Luncheon-Reserved Building

The young servant, if Charles had been able to see her face in this situation, would have a small frown on it. For the little serial killer, simply waiting about and watching was not something uncommon to her routine. Yet at the same time, she had not been able to kill anything for quite the while, at most being able to observe and watch others. So she felt a little bit bored, to tell the truth about the matter, but since her daddy had been such a nice daddy to her then she would continue to watch...for now. That lady with strange clothes who was going about getting food could be a nice target, back seemingly turned to Jack from her perspective and the lady's servant likely hiding in spirit form. Then again, her servant could possibly kill Jack as well if they were something like a Saber or whatever. Hmpfh. No, she would continue to listen to her daddy's orders for the time being, but it did not mean she could not sneak about and look around a little more. Being in spirit form with Presence Concealment active, and not preparing for an attack, she could virtually walk about this place without a problem.

Keeping to the walls and keeping as quiet as possible, Jack began to carefully sneak about the inside of the building, observing others and trying to see if she could find anything interesting or that would otherwise be worth reporting back to her daddy. She would, of course, avoid getting too close to the young girl who was in the room, and would keep a fair distance from the lady who was getting food so she could keep far away from the lady-master's servant who could possibly be in spirit form as well. After all, she didn't want to spoil her position because of some stupid-head servant whose possible presence would keep her from being able to have a bit of fun killing their master...meany.

Though she had been calming down a bit more, internally a small burst of adrenaline hit upon the Saber-class servant's sudden speaking to her, Elyse's mind kicked in to assert control and helped her maintain a rather calm composure outwardly and turned to look at whoever had spoken to her. Somewhat to her surprise, though such surprise would not show on her face in this instance, an old man and a being who could only be a servant, dressed in very much Japanese-styled garb with a Japanese-styled sword by his side, stood there in front of her. On first guess, she would have to say this oddly-dressed man was a servant and would most likely and obviously be of the Saber class. That could pose a problem, depending on who this old man had summoned. There were many figures in Japanese myth that wielded swords, though this man did not wear armor. Hmm. She could not jump to assumptions, but with this servant being a Saber in her mind the possible risk in combat was still there. After all, the Saber class had the highest parameters among the other classes usually. Though on the other hand, this servant so easily showing his class to the other masters and servant could be a ploy to possibly cover up possible weaknesses of his.

But right now was not the time for guessing games, speculation, and letting her thoughts run wild. It was good to think about the possibilities, but as she had just met this servant all she could say for a surety was that she believed him to be of the Saber class. Calming her thoughts down as quickly as he could, then, Elyse gave a light and polite nod to the man and his master. She could at least have some kind of manners in this situation, though while she did not make it visible she somewhat wishes her servant had stayed in spirit form throughout this entire trip to the meeting place.

"Ah, my apologies," Elyse said, her polite mannerisms and such coming back to her out of instinct, her tone of voice soft but proper and audible to those she was speaking to, "I couldn't help but admire the scenery for a moment before going in. It is good to see, however, that other Masters are coming to this event as well. Perhaps it would be more comfortable for all of us if we so stepped inside, though."

The polite and formal front was to hide her other emotions, which luckily these other two had not been here to see. While a few things had surprised her in the past 24 hours, this was the calmer and more proper side of her. A side of her that could be easily used as a mask for her emotions and other thoughts when it was so needed in public. Lancer was right about one thing, though, and that was she could sense other masters, the leaking of prana from their bodies a telltale sign of them maintaining a servant. With that in mind, it was easy to tell that the old man was indeed a Master, and that this man in odd garb would be his servant. There indeed was not that much prana being expended, though, which for her was a good sign considering it meant no one was trying to attack her at the moment. Even so, she did not want to get stuck in a possible conversation here outside of the building. It was too open, too vulnerable, though now that she thought about it for a brief moment her servant would probably be able to fight rather well in the open. With this all in mind, however, she motioned to Lancer before moving to enter the building herself.

Oliver Hallett

@Raijinslayer @ADamnFiddle @Holy Grail

Plaza San Francisco, Just Outside The Bounded Field-Covered Building

Oliver mulled over what the spirit had told him as they made their way down the city streets together, winding their way through the crowds which were parting around them much more easily than he was accustomed to. He could have sworn they kept drawing odd looks from the crowd, though why he could not fathom. A wraith, even one as powerful as this should be invisible to non magi eyes after all. He was undoubtedly imagining things, a common symptom of staying up to late into the night. Hopefully the coffee would set in soon and clear his head.

He turned pursing his lips and giving the tall wraith a somewhat exasperated glance. Oliver had swung back and forth from thinking that the wraith knew something he didn't and thinking it was simply out of touch several times in the past few hours, now he was leaning once again towards the latter.

It kept making up bizarre new rules. Now the daft thing wanted him to keep its true identity a secret, warning dire consequences otherwise and requesting that he instead called it "Saber". How was he to present his achievement and initiate a proper interview if he had to keep its real name a secret from his colleagues? It defeated the whole point! Once he had confirmed that there was no danger this was one request he simply could not humor.

Mr. Hallett was shaken from his introspection by a rather odd feeling in his chest. He realized with some alarm that he was drawing near to something quite powerful. Looking up he found that they had gained the plaza and were approaching the designated building. The building itself seemed to be a rather large warehouse looking complex. It took him a moment to realize that it was in fact protected by a bounded field, though one so weak that no magically attuned person could have failed to notice it. It was the people standing outside however who drew his attention...

A rather odd pair were standing before the doors of the meeting place, two dashes of blue and white among a crowd of plainclothes. They were both of them Magi. Or well, the small pale child was a magi, the other was...

Oliver realized with some alarm that he was looking at another wraith similar to its own. At some point along the line he must have grown accustomed to the presence of Masamune as he was once again impressed with the simple sense of power that the wraith was radiating. Clad all in skin tight blue the spirit was a tall dangerous looking youth with sharp European features and a gleam in its eyes that he didn't quite like.

Oliver took a subconscious step closer to "Saber" as they approached. He found himself wishing he had brought his dogs along.

The pale girl gave them a polite greeting and he returned it with a small rather strained bow before entering the building's foyer.

Together the four of them entered the building.

The reception room had been made out like someone throwing a potluck, tables of sandwiches and other delicate lining the walls and far corners. A large rather ostentacious banner decorated the back wall proclaiming welcome. It was surprisingly empty, the lack of crowd betraying the small scale of this affair despite what affectations the managers wanted to put on. All told there were only three people present, though Oliver recognized one as yet another of these mysterious super wraiths.

Well, I have stepped into the lion's mouth now. No turning back at least. If it is some kind of weird trap hopefully the sandwiches are at least good.

Cu Chulainn, Lancer

@Holy Grail @Beloss @Raijinslayer

"Oi, no real reason you should have to apologize there, Master. Politeness is only going to get you so far.. I’m going to have to ask that you do not get so close with my Master. Would prefer to avoid an incident right now. Only really here to get some food and spirits. Can't say I am against a fight though.”

Lancer was a man who had died rather early in his life. Hardly years past since he became a knight to his horrible death at the hands of a certain Queen. However, in his short life it could be said that he had rushed through most of it.

Perhaps it wasn’t really his sort of role to inform people on the right choices regarding intelligent life decisions. After all, with such a short life of burning the candle at both ends, Lancer never really got to understand a lot of the ramifications of his individual actions. He simply did as he pleased during his life, nothing more and nothing left.

However, unlike his former link-based messages he had given to his Master only moments prior, this one was said out loud. Perhaps it was a sort of crude statement over the other’s haste rather than anything beneficial to his Master, though Lancer might have been more inclined to discuss the current situation directly with the enemy Servant. After all, Lancer wasn’t exactly the sort of person to skirt around any sort of issues. Hence why right after Lancer went to the core of the issue and directly referenced what he had taken exception to.

“Guess it doesn’t really matter in the end though. Did you get any sort of stats from that Servant? You need to look at them with your Master’s clairvoyance enabled to gather any sort of data, but I am sure you knew that already, no?”

Lancer continues the conversation with the link this time, understanding that the information might be a bit more conspicuous in construction rather than the frivolous conversation he had only prior. After all, even if Lancer was the sort to fight against anyone, even his son who refused to present Lancer with his own name as an oath to his Mother. Regardless of the information they had on the target, it wasn’t like he was completely averse to obtaining any slight information on his target, though considering the limited information had upon the target, the most they would likely get were his stats.

However, Lancer had been watching the Asian looking man when he had come close to his Master. After all, any sudden movements would have ended up with a blade into his opponent or worse yet, a blade into either himself or his Master.

But to Lancer, the man who had approached his Master seemed all but harmful. Perhaps the sort of individual who never truly enjoyed the sight of battle, but regardless as a participant of the war would have to shed the blood of those whom he had never had grudges with in order to obtain the Grail and a wish.

Perhaps it could be said that Lancer was a bit disappointed that the Asian Servant or his Master had not tried to cause a commotion against his camp. After all, to Lancer this entire battle was for the battle rather than after the battle. As life, he cared not for why he fought, but rather for the purpose of who he was fighting. A man who wanted only for the strongest to prove his blade against.

Despite this, perhaps out of fear or awe, the opposing Master had taken preemptive measures to ensure that Lancer couldn’t strike him down in the event it was ordered. However, when approached by the Asian Servant, hardly an eye was batted by his own Master. If there was any sort of doubt to Lancer's mind that he had rolled a good Master, this action within itself was show enough.

“Not bad, Master. You either have complete trust in my protection skills, or you are just braver than I thought you are,” Lancer commented through a link.

That was about the point where his Master had chosen to enter the building. And so too entered Lancer, staying ever vigilant or any sort of issues might he have against any other camp in this war.

"Of course, though I had no intention to harm the child, nor do I plan to anytime soon." Saber replied to strange man before continuing inside of the building with his own master, hands crossed as he turned his attention to the other present. Few masters had seen fit to arrive, and the fact that both of those present were children led him to become quite sullen, before he turned to the one who must be the one in charge of the event.

"So, will you tell us why we're here, or are you still wating for the other Masters to arrive?"

Charles Dorvain

Charles was bored, irritated, and bored. Spending his time staring at the garish decor of his hotel room was driving him up the wall, and after a while more, he decided that he'd be damned if this was going to be how he spent this war. He wasn't a coward, hiding just because his Servant was of a more devious nature. Getting up, he left the room, sending a message to Assassin.

Jack, change of plans. I'm heading to this meeting, and if you're as bored as I am, then feel free to join me somewhere outside of the building. It doesn't really matter what anyone learns about you, given your skills making it a moot point no matter what they learn. Either way, I can stand waiting around for something to happen. At least this way, I can get a look at the competition myself.

With his message sent, he would walk out of the hotel and make his way to the building, waiting a minute or two to see if Assassin would join him before walking inside of the marked building. His gaze would sweep across the others in the room as he headed for the refreshments table, picking up a sandwich and taking a bite, after which he made a face and placed back on the plate. While he was facing away, however, he cast the Clairvoyance spell under his breath. Looking between the other's, he found the masters to be nothing to write home about, though the Servants presented all seemed to be rather capable. From the stats he could see, the strange blue man and the Knightly looking woman were the bigger threats, as the Asian looking servant was severely lacking in that regard, even though the sword at his side suggested that he be of the Saber class, as the Knight was assuredly a part of as well.

"Well, this is all pretty underwhelming."

Whether he was talking about the competition or the banquet was pretty much anyones case, though it was just as likely that he could've been talking about both.

To say Jack was bored by this point would be an understatement. No one was really doing anything, and nothing was really happening about this point in time. She had not been told to make anyone go "bye-bye", and her daddy had not even communicated with her for quite the while. In fact, the little serial killer had been tempted to simply drive a knife into the nearest lady in order to literally "kill" the boredom. Only the fact that she perceived her daddy had been good to her so far and was promising her a gift when they were heading back to their base of operations really held her back from simply choosing her own target and going in for the kill. So getting the message from her daddy that they would simply be heading into the meeting without any sneakiness was a welcome change to some extent.

Sneaking back out of the building, and being sure to avoid contact with the four individuals who had just walked into the building at that, Jack made her way over to where she saw her daddy standing and waiting for her. As soon as she joined up with him, she would leave her spirit form and appear right next to her daddy before following him into the building. Though instead of talking to anyone once they got in, her daddy seemed to just walk right on over to the food and picked up a sandwich that he did not seem to enjoy much. Deciding to try a bit of food as well, Jack grabbed a plate and began to load it up. Literally. The little girl had never been to a foreign country before, much less had a decent meal. While food, sleep, and water among other basic necessities were unnecessary for her as a servant, the childlike curiosity about what was at the banquet led her to want to try, well, everything. So the sight the others in the room would be able to see would be Jack, loading up one or two plates with literally one of everything at the banquet.

While her master commented on things being rather "underwhelming", whether it was the banquet or the other competitors, Jack found a place to sit at a table next to where her master was standing. With the greatest east, the little servant placed her towering two plates of food on the table, before pulling out a chair and standing on it just to be able to reach her food. Before taking a single bite of food, however, Jack decided to kill the boredom and actually do something first. She waved at the lady in the strange costume who she had already seen getting food, before turning her attention to the four individuals who had walked in through the door before she and her daddy had come in and waved to them.

"Hi pretty lady! Hi old man!" the young servant said in the direction of Elyse and Oliver, ignoring their servants for the most part when saying hi.

Deciding that she had tried to do something in her own childlike opinion, Jack began to eat the food from the plates she had loaded up. She wouldn't get fat or anything from eating this at any rate. She was a servant, not a human. She was just testing everything to see if there was anything good she would want to go back for seconds of. Besides, this was her first time at an event such as this, and seeing so much food at once before her was something a little bit fascinating for her now that she did not have to be sneaky about things.

Plaza San Francisco, Luncheon-Reserved Building

How could she bear to bat an eye at an enemy servant when it was right in front of her? She knew for a fact that a servant in general could strike her down in a moment's notice without her even being able to react. Such was the nature of this war, and while it had scared her thinking of it a time prior to even summoning her own servant she had come to terms with the matter by now. Death was so close, so palpable in this conflict that what was the use of allowing fear to consume her in such a moment? She had barely batted an eye at the matter, and continued to keep her cool even as she moved to enter the building along with the other master-servant pair. For a moment, however, a small and brief smile appeared on her face at hearing her servant's comments to her through their link about her either complete trust or bravery through their mental link

'I guess you could say i have both, Lancer,' the homunculus noted to the blue-clad man who was her servant via their mental link as they were walking into the building, accepting the compliment in a positive manner whilst being somewhat amused that someone would actually call her "brave" of all things. She had really managed to get a good servant for this conflict, hadn't she?

Also enabling her master's Clairvoyance in a subtle manner as they entered the building, Elyse looked back at the katana-wielding servant the older man was with before glancing about the room and trying to get a read on the stats of any other servant there. The knightly-clad woman was both definitely a servant, and a real threat based on what the stats of the female servant was. With such high stats, the female servant was most likely a Saber-class servant if nothing else. The katana-wielding servant did not seem to be much of a threat either, though his blade hinted most strongly at him being a Saber and meant that his sword, if nothing else about him, could be the actual threat that the servant could pose.

However, before she could respond to her servant and turn off her master's Clairvoyance another pair walked suddenly into the building and straightaway to the food. It was a man wearing some kind of suit, and....a little girl in a very revealing outfit? Unconsciously raising an eyebrow at the sight, even more strange to Elyse was that the little girl was actually the one who was a servant, not the man. On first sight, without looking into the two's appearances at all, it was tempting to think the man was the servant and the girl was the master, but such was not the case according to her master's Clairvoyance. The little girl possessed some good stats overall, though not the best as compared to her own servant and the female knight servant, as well as possessing multiple strangely-shaped knives that that were perhaps be a strong clue as to what class this servant possibly was. An Assassin. But were there any little girls in history that acted as Assassins? That was one mystery in and of itself, only made stranger than it already was when the little girl placed two plates heaped with food on a table and waved to all of the other masters in the room, even looking over and briefly speaking to her and the older man before digging into the food with a seemingly childlike manner about it all.

Mentally snapping herself out of the slight unnerving feeling that had crept up into her at the sight of the rather young and unorthodox servant, and deactivating her master's Clairvoyance, Elyse decided to get back to responding to her servant. Even if the little girl was the servant in that pair, it meant that she was a dangerous, deadly opponent all the same. A little girl who had managed to get enough of a reputation as a heroic spirit to be able to be summoned as a servant was no less of a threat than any other servant. That much Elyse knew, and it was enough to keep her visibly calm and composed.

'I have acquired the stats for the other servants currently here, even the little girl servant with the knives who just addressed us,' the homunculus communicated through the link with her servant before continuing her communication without skipping a beat, 'The only one that seems comparable enough to you in terms of parameters is the knightly-clad female servant, possibly because she is a Saber-class servant, while the katana-wielding servant does not seem to be as much of a threat unless that sword of his is a strong Noble Phantasm that compensates for his parameters being as they are for a Saber-class servant.'
