Current The hidden benefit of wearing 8 rings total? They double as a pair of brass knuckles in case you get into a fight.

Just as we would turn around and condemn or laugh at our ancestors for their barbarism, our descendants will do the same.

I'm happy with participating in a single RP - Something tells me I'm the only one?

In Batam for a month after quitting my job. Been powering through my writing since. I guess this is where I call myself a full-time professional writer.

Guess I'm leaving then.

EDIT: I get that I'm not the greatest at character creation and I apologize for bashing human races, but you don't have to be an ass about it.

I was more puzzled than anything, wasn't trying to be malicious. Wasn't the emoticon clear enough? Or did I use the wrong one? I've just never heard of anything as limiting as what you're saying before, for pretty much my entire time in any writing-based activity.

In any case, yeah, you should probably leave this RP if your confidence is so easily shattered by a few honest words.
@The Fated Fallen
I apologize, but humans tend to lack the roguish traits I go for most of the time.

Sky's the limit, but apparently the sky is only a few metres above us with you... :-\
So I went for half-elf arcane rogue, something I've always wanted to do.

Definitely can't say no to what you want to do. Only passion can give you a long-running RP.
Or we could always come up with our own type of characters, you know, like how we're supposed to do in writing :D

Sorry, the Demon Hunter-Knight who's also unknowingly a Succubus Seductress and Sorcerer is taken :D

I used to have a character who's a Lost Traveling Far Eastern Samurai and Holy Man, and yes, he made it into a typical western fantasy RP. (He's something like an eastern spin on the Paladin, but his divine help comes in the form of blessed potions and talismans, though the usual route for that is also possible)

So yeah, the sky's the limit.
@POOHEAD189 In that case, half-elf Arcane Rogue is happening.

Can't help but to say this, but every word in that character type has been used.

Half-elf? Calanon, though granted, he isn't exactly half. Then there's An-Hasst.

Arcane? Well darn, just look at the roster. It's as if non-magical characters are the exceptions.

Rogue? We got one.

Though of course, I think it's just due to the general terms being used. There're all kinds of arcane characters and all kinds of rogues. Did some research into character classes, and lookie here, you do have plenty of choices:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Character_class_..

In other words, I guess I'll wait and see what you come up with.
As Jezebeth was listening in on the conversation regarding the dragon, she had put on her helmet for convenience sake, though she knew that there were a few among the elves who would like to harm her, some for petty and personal reasons, and others still for suspecting her to be some fell creature - to them, she thought that they need to grow a new pair of eyes.

The knight was in contemplation when another of the group introduced himself: "Forgive my earlier shyness. I'm an Eru'Dai. Perhaps the EverGod favors you, and sees fit to guide you in a more mysterious way than most of the lesser Gods. It's a great honor, I'd say."

Another holy man? Was Jezebeth's first impression. Settionne was a priest, Ursaren possibly another, if not just a healer, while this other member here was a warrior monk. Had there been no mention of a dragon, Jezebeth would have thought that she had been inducted into a group of pilgrims on a quest to some obscure southlander holy site.

"Perhaps," Jezebeth agreed half-heartedly, offhandedly. If it was the EverGod's way of testing her, of leading her to some ultimate destiny, it was surely the most bitter and foul of journeys yet, for her previous trials hadn't necessitated the death of a hundred servants of good, nor put her in such emotional strain that she had felt like falling on her own sword. "You are forgiven, Eru'Dai. A band of elves fighting for the forces of good is surely more trustworthy than their captive, even one so mistakenly apprehended."

Looking down at her crossbow, she saw that she was constantly readjusting her grip. Jezebeth knew she was nervous, standing around so many strangers she had never tested nor scrutinised for demonic influences and demonhood, and among elves who might want to do unsavoury things to her, but also that she had never had her nerves broken before. The knight had seen brothers and sisters trembling and babbling like infants after battles too close and too bloody before, and she had never understood them until now.

Occasionally, her left hand, which was holding tightly on her crossbow, would tremble uncontrollably, triggered by the sound of horses or the stray noise of metal grinding on metal. It would be some time before she had found herself again.

"I know nothing about divine plans, but I think it is a greater honour to meet you. Had your group not arrived, I might not have lived to tell the tale of my fellow knights' bravery, much less to avenge them in some way. Is that what you offer, Eru'Dai? A way for me to atone for my sin of failure?"

Jezebeth's gaze wavered to settle on Settionne for a second, and from what she could tell, the priest seemed to be giving her an expectant, pitiful look when the subject of horsemanship was brought up. But that would be a subject for later.

@Sypherkhode822 With 'Excellent Prismatic Spray' what do you mean when you say that the light shreds through anything it passes through?

@Sypherkhode822 I was wonderiing that too. So I was thinking: 'Man, Marguerite should probably aim carefully and try not to hit the ground or she might split the planet in two.'

Either that or it would be a severely underwhelming spell, because light doesn't pass through most things.
Made a person! She's probably the most out-there character I've tried in a while, but it should be fun.
(I also imported Jocasta Nuts from the other Rp I'm playing. They're a trans-dimensional schedule II narcotic.)

Some of my critiques:

- God mode online! So she's a mage, uses a bow, a dagger, has magic armour which also makes her strong, fast, able to see in the dark, oh, and she's a mage. Damn, my knight is starting to feel like a powerless little nobody.

- A bit too similar to my character. Wakes up with no memory but has a powerful gift, in your case, magic and an alternative personality, though in your case it exists in parallel with the original personality and not on top of it or below;

- So how much magic does she know? I take it that at 19, not much, right? Anyway, it wasn't very clear.

Hope my critiques helped.
Hey all!

This looks like a really cool game, and it looks like it's been running for a while (which means it'll probably keep going for another 3 years), and I was wondering if I could join the adventures of the gang?

I'm playing with the idea of being a Southlander and/or a hedge mage, whichever one works best.

Isn't a 'southlander' something like a nationality or a noun denoting country of origin while a 'hedge mage' an occupation? Those are two different things... I think you mean adventurer or frontiersman or something?
Wait, how could someone ever confuse wizard and... Wizbear?

I have no idea...
