While Hydreigon and Salamence were still battling it out in the background, Basil got his arm chewed by Deino. Deino looked, as far as one can look without eyes, towards him as he spoke, or at the very least towards the source of his voice. Then, it let go of his arm just enough to loudly call in his face.
‘Deeeein!’
It means Deino is totally up for heading off into the world with Basil. Sounds like a more interesting time than hanging around this island all life.

‘Oh, dear. Let me have a look at that,’ Lesley said, pulling out some disinfectants and bandages. Within a moment she’d kneel to him and start treating his arm, because that needed seeing to immediately. ‘You’re going to need to stock up on some of these things yourself if you’re going to bring a Deino. Both for if it chews on you, or if it chews on others,’ she cautioned him. Should Deino attempt biting while this was going she would lift her own forearm with practiced efficiency and the armor on her arm would effectively block it yet somehow still be perfectly satisfactory for a Deino.
‘Right. We’re going to get you back to get that looked at. No objections,’ Lesley stated. ‘But…’ she shrugged a little, looking a bit uncomfortable with what had happened, but. ‘I’m not sure I agree with the amount of danger you put yourself in, but good job getting yourself a dragon,’ she said with a nod.
So, Lesley was definitely intending on getting Basil out of here as quickly as possible.

Dragon Lake
While the whole lake is commonly referred to as “Dragon Lake”, it is mostly just the numerous islands to the north-west of the lake that are the true dragon habitats, the rest is commonly referred to as Route 14. These islands are spiky, tall cliffs standing like daggers out of the waters of the lake, with numerous caverns within which the dragons make their nests. In the waters as well, numerous aquatic dragons swim about, enjoying their time. It is unclear why exactly this became the hunting grounds of the dragons, but they happily feast on the various fish that live in the waters of the island and sometimes fly to the nearby routes to find their prey.
Of course, lately there have been far fewer dragons. Poachers of Team Amethyst caught so many dragons for their value being sold to the highest bidders, leading to a sharp dip in their wild populations. Hence why, at any point of time, there’s now Lake Watchers standing and floating as guards around the island, in various little ships looking out with their Pokémon. It is also common to see them on the island, counting dragons and helping fend off any would-be invader with great force. Suffice to say, it’s become very difficult to capture a dragon from here unnoticed. A common sight here is the Gym Leader of Lakewatch Town herself playing with the dragons, and also counting them one by one to see if any are missing…

Lesley’d eventually be able to call her Salamence back from the encounter with Hydreigon, and while severely damaged, it was nothing that prevented the mighty dragon from flying a couple of humans and maybe a dragon back to the mainland. Lesley directed Salamence to put them down at a building, which turned out to be the local hospital, because she wanted Basil’s arm checked.
We can keep that part short, but Lesley brought Basil inside, made sure a proper medical professional got a look at his arm, then the Gym Leader had a nurse lecture her about bringing a kid to danger island which she defended by saying Basil isn’t THAT young. While he was being checked Lesley took a moment to run off somewhere, and then came back in time for when he’d be checked out. He’d now have a nice little bandage around his arm.
‘Alright. So, if you’re gonna raise a dragon, especially a Deino, you’re going to need these,’ Lesley said, handing over a couple items from her collection…
Basil obtained a Dragon Chew Toy! Basil obtained a Forearm Guard!
That is, a bone-like toy that definitely is a joy to chew on for a Deino, and a piece of armor for the arm so that Basil wouldn’t have to surrender his arm to more bites.
‘Well, seems like it worked out. Please do work on your self-preservation skills, though. Can you handle yourself from here?’ Lesley asked, sighing a little yet still able to give a little smile to him while putting her hands on her hips.

Lakewatch Town
As one looks upon Lakewatch, it is clear it was once built by the side of the water. Yet, over time, Dragon Lake has actually increased in volume, the water-level rising and swallowing the town. Then the natural conclusion would be to move the town back, follow the water-level, and rebuild at the new shore, right? That, does not appear to have been the thought that went through the minds of the designers of this Town, which is essentially placed out in the water on top of older buildings, the streets of the town flooded in water and to get around one has to make use of their many canoes or get on the back of a Pokémon.
The town of Lakewatch rises fairly high for its size, and vegetation grows pretty freely around the buildings. Most buildings and streets have white floating cobblestone to walk on either side of the streets, with a river of water flowing in the middle. People here are highly accustomed to this, and the streets are constantly bustling with people heading back and forth, as well as people actually gliding down from the higher buildings from the roofs above using strange little paragliders. It appears people live in the higher floors, while business takes place on ground/water-level. There are canoes basically everywhere that anyone’s free to borrow, townspeople commonly jumping down on a canoe, using the force of the jump to drift it to the other side and then simply jump off.
Now, anyone could hear from the name that Lakewatch Town is the town that basically rules the Dragon Lake. The Lakewatchers are a group of people that regularly patrol the waters, and become friends with the dragons that live there. Tours by the Lakewatchers are the primary tourist attraction of the place, along with the fish that is procured from the same lake, and guides are trained to show the way in any surrounding areas. Their boats are also those who trade with the western side through Highhill, keeping the place alive and busy. Plus, there’s always the rumors of treasure or otherwise hiding deep in Flooded Lakewatch, and Descent Tower looms in the middle of town for those hoping to explore… but who really knows? It’s a nice and different place, definitely.

The main exit of Lakewatch, leading to a grassy incline connecting mountains, forests and plains. Route 14. The waters of Dragon Lake are also known as Route 14. It connects Lakewatch Town, Highhill Town and Stillwood Village.
Amelia sat down to watch the races. It looked like a new competitor had stepped onto the line! It was another Slowpoke, preparing itself to race the Sableye, Diglett and Onix! Everyone faced forward professionally, preparing for the signal…
‘SLOW!’
The Slowpoke at the finish called, and the race was on again! The Onix was, in fact, quite fast… but the Diglett dug its way forward at an unmatched speed, leaving a trial of dug-up ground after it! Poor Sableye didn't stand a chance against that speed, and the Diglett once again won and received another gem. Not that the Diglett had much use of the gem, it was just happy to win.
And the Slowpoke that entered the race… it looked like it was going to lose the next two races too before it reached the finish-line once.
Looking at the races, Amelia might have failed to realize that there was a collection of not-ghost Pokémon that had gathered around her!
‘Diglett?’ ‘Dig, dig?’ ‘Diglett?’ … asked the collection of tiny mole-Pokémon that had poked out of the ground to look at her curiously. There was also a couple floating rocks floating near.
Pokédex Entry #50 – Diglett, the Mole Pokémon. They live underground and spend most of their time submerged. It’s weak to light, and will only pop up where shielded or in caves. They often exist a mere yard underground eating roots. They’re often raised on farms, because soil dug through by Digletts is left perfectly tilled for growing healthy crops.
‘Dude!’ ‘Geo, dude!’ The Geodudes asked whatever ghosts they could see while trying to float closer. In Pokémon, they asked what the ghosts are for something. As Geodudes born here, they'd never seen these species before!
Pokédex Entry #74 – Geodude, the Rock Pokémon. Found in fields as well as mountains. They commonly rest, half-buried in the ground and indistinguishable from normal rocks. There are always way more Geodude around than a traveler will notice. Stepping on one by accident may trigger their rage.
A Psyduck was coming walking from over there, possibly attracted by the various noises made by Digletts and Geodudes.
Pokédex Entry #53 – Psyduck, the Duck Pokémon. It is plagued by headaches from the moment it is born until it evolves. Its vacant look is there to lull its enemies, and by intensifying its headaches it can unleash psychic powers. However, any time it uses these powers will create a lapse in its memory and it won’t remember having done so.
Then… maybe the most startling might be the realization that what looked like a rock-formation in the wall was actually a sleeping Onix, who now opened its eyes to gaze curiously at the little girl that had sat not too far from it.
Pokédex Entry #95 – Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon. It lives deep underground, and it burrows through earth at a staggering 80 km/h in search of food, and it grows harder as it collects material while digging. A magnet in its brain keeps track of which direction it is traveling. The tunnels it creates behind it as it burrows are often used as homes for other Pokémon.
Well. Amelia and co had a bunch of curious wild Pokémon around them, now. They didn't appear to be aggressive.
What would she do now?
Wet Caverns
The Wet Caverns, known so for the sheer amount of water drenching the contents. It’s a large series of tunnels with no real large open rooms, dividing itself up into a fairly simple maze going from one side to the other. The water inside the tunnels thankfully lit up the contents due to some shining mineral in the liquid, giving rise to a mildly lit set of tunnels. Many people prefer not to travel through the Wet Caverns due to them being long and easy to get lost in, in addition to the large amounts of hostile Pokémon which might attack at any time. Yet, here you are…
Still. There are those who travel through it on a regular basis. Those who have learned the trick finds it a fairly easy shortcut between Lakewatch Town and Pureplain City. For enthusiasts there are always the options of delving deeper into the caverns, fishing or surfing to find out what kind of Pokémon might inhabit the depths and the shallow rivers that flow along the underground corridors. It is known to be fairly diverse when it comes to the Pokémon inhabiting it, giving trainers both water- and cave Pokémon to pick from when they want to catch something.

Eryn headed down, deeper into the Frozen Cave, away from the harsh wind and blowing snow. Fortunately, she seemed to be dressed for the occasion, and could avoid accidentally slipping, mostly. She might be vaguely aware of some Sneasels stalking her on a distance, not able to quite use their stealth due to it not being night, yet. So, she headed down towards the shouts…

… And came across a curious sight. She was looking down into a round room from a somewhat higher ledge. She could slide down if she wish, but then she'd likely be unable to get up. In the centre of the small room was a large, cold-looking rock, and on top of it stood a creature like a picture of grace itself, a quadruped mammal-creature with a tail, two ears, locks and a very obvious heritage…
Pokédex Entry #471 – Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokémon. An Eevee that evolved for a colder climate. It is capable of controlling its body-temperature at will. If endangered, it can freeze its fur into sharp needles that it can fire upon their foe. The chill that follows a Glaceon is capable of freezing the atmosphere into powdery snow, making it a popular Pokémon for ski resorts.
… that was currently in the process of shooting Ice Shard needles at a young man that was frantically trying to dodge. On his side stood a confused, strong-looking Golduck, who wasn't interfering. It looked a bit concerned, but had clearly been told not to do anything.
Pokédex Entry #54 – Golduck, the Duck Pokémon. Said to be the fastest swimmer of all Pokémon, it effortlessly uses its webbed flippers to navigate even stormy seas. It is typically found along the banks of lakes or in gently flowing rivers, catching fish. It is known to use its telekinetic powers to Disable its prey. When it does, its forehead glows.
While dodging, the young man in dark clothes yelled out at the Pokémon.
‘I'm telling you! We'll go see the world! Have wonderful adventures making lifelong memories and becoming the best of buds! We'll face awesome foes and come out on top! Doesn't that sound exciting!?’
The Glaceon, clearly unimpressed, said nothing and simply shot another set of frozen needles that the guy dodged with a panicked but deft combat-roll.
‘YAAAH!’ he cried as he ran, the same kind of shout that had led Eryn here in the first place.
‘What, are you saying you prefer just lying around here for the rest of your life!?’ the guy asked, turning to look towards the Glaceon while panting.
Glaceon curtly nodded and then shot another set of Ice Shards at him, which he ‘WOA’ matrix bent over backwards and precisely managed to dodge.
So, what Eryn heard was, in fact, an extrovert trying to convince an introvert to come with him to see the world… if the introvert was capable and willing to shoot said extrovert with ice needles.

That's when Eryn might look behind her and realize there were two angry-looking horned floating ice-heads that ALSO had been attracted by the shouts of the guy!
Pokédex Entry #362 – Glalie, the Face Pokémon. It is a living floating rock coated with an armor of ice. It can instantly freeze moisture in the air into any shape it desires, which it then adds to its armor. Its mouth can open to fire air cold enough to freeze its target solid. After their prey is frozen, Glalie leisurely eats them piece by piece.
They were coming from the direction Eryn just came from. Her other choices of directions she could potentially go are either down to where the guy and the Glaceon are right now, or take her chances running to her right, which leads down to another tunnel, not knowing what lay in that direction. Or she could fight, or any other potentially clever option. All up to her.
What would she do now?
Frozen Cave
The tunnels of the Frozen Cave are a series of pathways inside, and above, the mountain range surrounding Cooldome City and Route 9. In various places the signs of construction are evident, as people attempted to tame the caverns, but ultimately to no avail. There are quite a few paths that lead down through icy halls where only the frozen walls are your companions, but an equal amount lead in over the mountainside with the open sky above and a constant snowfall. Ice sticks out like crystals, forming both the path that one may walk on as well as the scenery one might be awed by.
The icy nature here is untamed and wild. Compared to the calm coolness of the mines, here the cold feels substantially more hostile. Any trainer heading through here must beware or they will slip, and not all paths one can slip down have access to easy paths back up. Cold blows eternally from above and below. Many ice-Pokémon make their home here, and quite a few of them are at least somewhat aggressive in nature. All of this caused these caves to once be judged to be a great challenge, and any Pokémon Trainer that is able to brave them is worthy of the battle-focused city of Cooldome City that awaits on the other side…
Albeit, most people who make their way to Cooldome City does so by the far safer Tunnel on the eastern side instead.

There is an exit on the other side of the Frozen Cave. You can attempt getting to it. 4.2. Descend. It very much feels like you can descend lower and lower through these caves. What could await down there? 4.3. Ascend. Besides down, it also feels like upwards could be a potential direction, climbing up through the various holes the snow and wind falls through. 5. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 6. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you.

Skylar shook the pirate’s hand, paid 2,000 P, and then…
‘Yeah, no,’ Elma said in reply. ‘We’re not going to send our bird on some quest to try to find you where you only might be. What’s your phone number? I’ll notify you and tell you where to wait,’ the more serious pirate girl said as she pulled a phone out of her pocket…
‘Ack! A phone!?’ Zachery suddenly complained, shielding his eyes with his one hand. ‘What about our pirate theme, Elma…!?’
‘Yeah, stuff it,’ Elma muttered. ‘I like keeping up with the news, thanks,’ she continued.
‘But, but… our image…’ Zachery looked so taken aback.
‘Fufu. There, there, captain,’ Mila started patting his back as she comforted him. ‘Let’s go raid some ships on Route 28. Would that make you feel better?’
Zachery mumbled a “yes” somewhere in there as a reply.
With that, Skylar was then free to leave this place.
So he flew over to the place indicated by the message, flying past Route 6 in the process, but that aside…
Stalford’s Ferry
Route 16 is one of the most dangerous routes on Isson, but there’s a way around. There’s the ship, Stalford’s Ferry, that looks nothing like a regular ship. While normal ships often find themselves in danger trying to sail Route 16, Stalford’s Ferry is a fortress of a ship and has proven time and time again to be a reliable way to cross to the Northern Landmass and Witchpeak City.
The mighty vessel can also keep you occupied as you’re sailing. You can attempt to fish out the open windows, you can find other trainers and keep yourself occupied while the vessel cruises to its destination, or perhaps simply attempt to enjoy the scenery… not that there’s much to see.
However, occasionally the ship does come under attack, and for that reason trainers are expected to be able to defend themselves, which is also why you’re required to have collected Kristy’s Gym Badge in Raremine Town to prove that you’re capable of doing just that.
One way trip is 500P.
1. Take the ferry. Costs 500P. 2. Seek trainers. There’s plenty of trainers taking the ferry. 3. Talk. They can be talked to. 4. Move along. Not take the ferry, head back to Route 6. 5. Go Yourself. Surf on Route 16. Not recommended. 6. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 7. Trigger random event. ‘Hey, I’m becoming a bit of a celebrity here! I can’t be going around deceiving people, word would spread! Now, yes, I’m a pirate, but I’m also trying to run a business here…’ Zachery argued when Skylar was doubtful about leaving the vase with that pirate. He then looked a bit concerned with the potential plan that Skylar was bringing up… when his eyes suddenly opened wide.
‘Wait, you literally want your egg delivered to you by-’ Zachery then dropped his head back and laughed. ‘Hahahaha! I love it!’
‘I wouldn’t recommend it,’ Elma said with a slight frown. ‘It is true, there is a bird Pokémon known for carrying items with its feathers… however, it is also pretty well known for dropping them for fun.’
‘Eh, we can persuade it! Sure, that sounds like a good deal. The price is 2,000 P for an unevolved Pokémon, though the price doubles per purchase. To make sure nobody rich buys up everything. Still, with your Relic Vase on the line and this not even being a Pokémon from outside Isson, we can skip the doubling this time!’ Zachery said.
‘So, deal?’
With that, he could probably go.
Stone Shore
Located to the west-west-south of Raremine Town, it is one of the least known locations of Isson (and may have come to exist due to a misunderstanding). Right south of Route 6, below the cliffs, this rocky shore is relatively featureless, but it is the absolutely best way to witness the ocean south of Isson. You could stand here forever, listening to the crashing waves coming against the cliffs, and the residents of Raremine Town tend to come here when they feel like dipping into the blue. Seeing how the alternative would have been the haunted waters of Route 16, perhaps not too surprising.
Besides, there’s something more to it. They’re called the Stone Shore for a reason. The crashing waves of the southern oceans tend to carry with them things from the big blue, and they’re free to pick for whoever walks the shore. It’s something of a secret kept among the Raremine Town residents, that you can get some things of value if scourers the sands and rocks of Stone Shore. You might want to watch their fingers, however, because something else that tends to be carried from the ocean are crabs. There’s a bunch of bitey-pinchey Pokémon peeking out between the various rocks on the beach!

Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Seek for items. If you think you can dodge the crabs, there could be a wealth of treasures washed up from the ocean.

The Dragon Pulse charged up straight in front of his face, and yet Basil decided that he was going to face it straight-on, risking losing his face in the process. Hydreigon held her pose for a bit, staring silently at him even as the sound of the energy of her attack hummed. There was something in her gaze…
Then she arched her neck up and unleashed a powerful, purple blast off straight above Basil… and straight into the Salamence that had been charging in at such a speed that Basil didn’t realize it was incoming until it had been struck by the Dragon Pulse.
That didn’t stop the other giant dragon, as the Salamence dove down through the beam, despite the damage. Hydreigon gave a content grunt as she jumped into the air and crashed into the other dragon, both of them sent backwards, notably avoiding the Deinos and the eggs. This was when Basil heard someone running behind him.
‘Basil!’ Lesley came running, in full armor, looking alarmed. ‘Why, out of ALL the ones you could have gone to, did you go to HER!?’
Clearly less than impressed by his choice, Lesley was here to attempt getting him to run while her Salamence kept Hydreigon occupied. Before him… the two dragons circled in the air. Dragon Pulse and Dragon Breaths blasted against the other, and the two winged creatures quickly dodged one another. Salamence charged at the Hygreigon with a wicked Dragon Claw, and Hydreigon replied in full delight with a Dragon Rush. The impact sent a blast wave that shook a number of the eggs below, Basil probably could feel it off where he was at that moment, and a couple of the Deinos were trying to retreat into the corners. By her expressions, it was clear Hydreigon was enjoying fighting what was probably one of few creatures around here that was her match…
‘C’mon, not even I try to bother that particular one-!’ Lesley said, trying to grab Basil to pull him out of the tunnel, when… ‘WATCH OUT!’
She grabbed at Basil to try to pull him to the floor, because Hydreigon had suddenly nosedived and then flown across the floor straight past the two humans, Salamence flying after as fast as she could. It had all gone so fast, that…
Then something else fell down on the two of them. The thing that dropped down on them was big, black and weighed a not inconsequential amount. The thing had been grabbed by Hydreigon mid-dive with one of her side-mouths and then just casually dropped on top of them as she passed by.
It was one of her kids, currently looking down at Basil in confusion (with the assumption he was no longer standing after having a mini-dragon dropped on him).
Pokédex Entry #633 – Deino, the Irate Pokémon. Usually found nesting deep in a cave. Deinos cannot see, and their first instinct upon encountering anything is biting and eating it. Approaching them carelessly is dangerous. It is said a trainer will be covered in wounds before a Deino has warmed up to them enough to not automatically bite.
If he looked off towards the flying dragon, he’d get a brief moment of Hydreigon looking back at him, full of intention… before it turned back to the intense fight with Salamence that it delighted.
‘… Huh,’ Lesley made a somewhat surprised noise, looking away at the encounter.
The Deino looked at him curiously…
And, true to the Pokédex word, the first thing it then did was bend down its neck and try to bite him.
Despite this action, didn’t seem like the Deino had decided to come with him quite yet. Did he intend on trying to convince this one somehow?
Dragon Lake
While the whole lake is commonly referred to as “Dragon Lake”, it is mostly just the numerous islands to the north-west of the lake that are the true dragon habitats, the rest is commonly referred to as Route 14. These islands are spiky, tall cliffs standing like daggers out of the waters of the lake, with numerous caverns within which the dragons make their nests. In the waters as well, numerous aquatic dragons swim about, enjoying their time. It is unclear why exactly this became the hunting grounds of the dragons, but they happily feast on the various fish that live in the waters of the island and sometimes fly to the nearby routes to find their prey.
Of course, lately there have been far fewer dragons. Poachers of Team Amethyst caught so many dragons for their value being sold to the highest bidders, leading to a sharp dip in their wild populations. Hence why, at any point of time, there’s now Lake Watchers standing and floating as guards around the island, in various little ships looking out with their Pokémon. It is also common to see them on the island, counting dragons and helping fend off any would-be invader with great force. Suffice to say, it’s become very difficult to capture a dragon from here unnoticed. A common sight here is the Gym Leader of Lakewatch Town herself playing with the dragons, and also counting them one by one to see if any are missing…

Amelia stepped down into the darkness, alert in case of ambushes. She found a network of tunnels in the darkness… that weren’t very quiet. In fact, there were the sounds of rolling rocks just about everywhere down here. Here comes one now!
Pokédex Entry #74 – Geodude, the Rock Pokémon. Found in fields as well as mountains. They commonly rest, half-buried in the ground and indistinguishable from normal rocks. There are always way more Geodude around than a traveler will notice. Stepping on one by accident may trigger their rage.
Pokédex Entry #75 – Graveler, the Rock Pokémon. A Graveler’s life consists of travelling up mountains feeding on their rocks to grow big, and then rolling down to the bottom to climb again. Due to their free and uncaring nature, they make some mountain trails very dangerous.
Gravelers and Geodudes rolled through the caves, using the fact the caves weren’t entirely flat for their favorite pastime of rolling as fast as they could all the way from whatever top they found down to the bottom. As the Gravelers rolled, they sent more Geodudes flying than Amelia could possibly have realized were there as they came through. Fortunately, they were very loud, so she had plenty of time to get out of the way before the living rocks came rolling.
Still, Amelia had a goal, and she pushed on towards that goal. Because indeed, she felt the presence of ghosts in this cave. She had already deduced which one it had to be, and she was not wrong.
A bit more searching, and there it was. Sableye. Kneeling on a relatively flat piece of cave… by what appeared to be a line?
Next to it, was a tiny mole sticking out of the ground…
… as well as a positively humongous rock-snake. All standing ready.
Pokédex Entry #302 – Sableye, the Darkness Pokémon. They live quiet lives in dark caves where they dig for their favorite food, raw gems. These gems surface on their eyes as glittering jewels. They tend to be feared, for it is said that those who meet with these glittering eyes in a dark cave have their spirits stolen away.
Pokédex Entry #50 – Diglett, the Mole Pokémon. They live underground and spend most of their time submerged. It’s weak to light, and will only pop up where shielded or in caves. They often exist a mere yard underground eating roots. They’re often raised on farms, because soil dug through by Digletts is left perfectly tilled for growing healthy crops.
Pokédex Entry #95 – Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon. It lives deep underground, and it burrows through earth at a staggering 80 km/h in search of food, and it grows harder as it collects material while digging. A magnet in its brain keeps track of which direction it is traveling. The tunnels it creates behind it as it burrows are often used as homes for other Pokémon.
On the other side of this particular cavern… sat a pink, mindless-looking… whatever Slowpoke is.
Pokédex Entry #79 – Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon. Extremely slow and sluggish, it doesn’t feel pain until 5 seconds after the blow. It fishes by dipping its tail in water and then doing nothing all day waiting for something to bite. To assist, a Slowpoke’s tail is flavorful, and can break off with no pain and grows back after a while.
The three Pokémon seemed to be waiting for something. That’s when, eventually…

‘SLOW!’
With the sudden call the three Pokémon shot forward! The massive Onix blasted forward with great (literally) enthusiasm, the Diglett surged forward as a tiny spot of speed, and Sableye… Sableye did his absolute best to run after them, waving its arms as it tried to head after. But unlike Onix and definitely unlike Diglett, Sableye just wasn’t built for speed.
Diglett poked Slowpoke first, and for his effort, Slowpoke spent the next twenty seconds picking a glowing gem from a small pile behind him to hand over to Diglett. Diglett made a little cheering noise, and then carried (somehow) the little gem over to a small pile that was apparently its winnings from previous rounds. Because now the three Pokémon, Diglett, Onix and Sableye, was gathering once again by the starting-line. Seems they were repeatedly having a race for who gets Sableye’s favorite things, the gems…
And Sableye didn’t seem to be winning.
What would Amelia do?
Wet Caverns
The Wet Caverns, known so for the sheer amount of water drenching the contents. It’s a large series of tunnels with no real large open rooms, dividing itself up into a fairly simple maze going from one side to the other. The water inside the tunnels thankfully lit up the contents due to some shining mineral in the liquid, giving rise to a mildly lit set of tunnels. Many people prefer not to travel through the Wet Caverns due to them being long and easy to get lost in, in addition to the large amounts of hostile Pokémon which might attack at any time. Yet, here you are…
Still. There are those who travel through it on a regular basis. Those who have learned the trick finds it a fairly easy shortcut between Lakewatch Town and Pureplain City. For enthusiasts there are always the options of delving deeper into the caverns, fishing or surfing to find out what kind of Pokémon might inhabit the depths and the shallow rivers that flow along the underground corridors. It is known to be fairly diverse when it comes to the Pokémon inhabiting it, giving trainers both water- and cave Pokémon to pick from when they want to catch something.

‘Oh, gunning for Lowell’s position? Yeah, that’s cool. Especially if you’re blind, hehehe. Good on you. Alright, Elma! Get one of those!’ Zachery told one of his girls, and she simply nodded before hurrying back towards the ship. Apparently, he didn’t need to clarify which one.
‘Yeah, and I’m Zachery! These girls are Elma and Mila! Say hi!’ Zachery said with a grin.
‘Hi~’ Mila gave a playful little wave towards him as Zachery commanded. Elma was already back towards the ship at that point, though.
Then Skylar came with his second suggestion.
‘Oh, a Piplup. Nah, sorry,’ Zachery said, grinning as he said. ‘I don’t stock up on Pokémon that do exist in Iss- OH, GAH, RELIC VASE-!?’ Zachery suddenly flailed with all his limbs when Skylar revealed what he had to trade with, the notebook suddenly flying. Mila took a moment to catch said notebook, all while whistling as she heard the offer.
‘Kid’s got some treasure,’ Mila commented.
‘Er, let’s see,’ Zachery suddenly started thinking about something, his expression looking focused. ‘If we just… Piplups should live at… if we sail to… then to…’
Mila, however, looked confused.
‘What’s the hold-up?’ she asked, and looked with a smile at Skylar. ‘We might not have a Piplup right now…’ she said, then smirked a little sneaky smile to Zachery, who looked horrified. ‘... but we DO have an Empoleon and a Ditto, don’t we?’
‘Not in front of the kid, Mila…!’ Zachery muttered in a cautioning tone. ‘But… Empoleon is one of my closest partners…’ he said, picking a Pokéball from his side, clearly one of the six he constantly kept on his person, and looked with concern at it. ‘I’m not sure I can ask her to…’
‘Why not?’ Mila asked, bluntly. ‘We have a bunch of Pokémon for the single reason of making sure we never run out of any one species from outside Isson in the ship,’ she said, then smirked to Skylar. ‘It’s like a busy little daycare in there~’
‘Not in front of… gah!’ Zachery shook his head. ‘But it’s different! Empoleon is one of my partners!’ he said, looking a bit upset and then looking with a frown towards Mila. ‘Like, if I were to ask you to…’ he waved his arms in a very indecipherable manner. ‘… for MY PROFIT, how would you feel!?’
‘If it was as fast and easy for me as it is for Pokémon?’ Mila asked with a raised eyebrow, and then a mischievous smile spread on her lips. ‘Why, then I’d gladly-’
‘NOT IN FRONT OF THE KID!’ Zachery interrupted her. ‘… But alright! I’ll ask her!’
‘Okay, so!’ Zachery turned to Skylar, holding out his hand. ‘If you’re ready to hand over that Relic Vase, then next time you find us, we might… we might have come up with something! Sounds good?’
What does Skylar think?
Regardless of what he thought, eventually Elma would come back. On her shoulder sat a little owl-thing, and Zachery smiled as Elma walked over to Skylar.
‘Hey, this is your new friend,’ Elma said, letting the little owl hop onto her hand before she held it forward for Skylar to inspect as the little owl looked up at him. ‘Would you like to say “hello”?’
Pokédex Entry #722 – Rowlet, the Grass Quill Pokémon. It uses photosynthesis to gather energy during the day, then becomes active during the night. It hunts for prey, known to fly silently and then pelt their target with vicious kicks. At a distance, it’s able to launch sharp feathers. It feels relaxed in tight, dark places, and has been known to like nestling in its trainer’s bag.

Stone Shore
Located to the west-west-south of Raremine Town, it is one of the least known locations of Isson (and may have come to exist due to a misunderstanding). Right south of Route 6, below the cliffs, this rocky shore is relatively featureless, but it is the absolutely best way to witness the ocean south of Isson. You could stand here forever, listening to the crashing waves coming against the cliffs, and the residents of Raremine Town tend to come here when they feel like dipping into the blue. Seeing how the alternative would have been the haunted waters of Route 16, perhaps not too surprising.
Besides, there’s something more to it. They’re called the Stone Shore for a reason. The crashing waves of the southern oceans tend to carry with them things from the big blue, and they’re free to pick for whoever walks the shore. It’s something of a secret kept among the Raremine Town residents, that you can get some things of value if scourers the sands and rocks of Stone Shore. You might want to watch their fingers, however, because something else that tends to be carried from the ocean are crabs. There’s a bunch of bitey-pinchey Pokémon peeking out between the various rocks on the beach!

‘Ah! Team name!’ Simon overheard her talking about team names. With not a single second of hesitation, he came with his announcement. ‘Of course, we over here are Team Simon! Let’s go!’
With that, the match was on!
‘Simon! Get the ball! Simon, I want you on defense and Simon, coordinate with your team and be ready to Teleport!’ Simon called… and somehow his team knew exactly which one he was referring to at all times. Barboach Simon launched himself, swimming forward to intercept the ball first. Cubone Simon prepared her club, dashing to stand ready to close the gap. While Ralts Simon stood in the way of the goal, ready to attempt coordinating or something.
Laurel unleashed a Sandstorm! It blew from their side of the battle towards Simons, obscuring the vision… albeit notably, two out of three of her opponents were ground-type, virtually unaffected by the blowing dust. It did bother Ralts Simon over there, however.
Now, as fast as Barboach Simon was, he wasn’t faster than a Teleport. Zeal was teleported to the ball, and was able to go at it first! With a Mach Punch, he was double first! The ball was struck, and went straight past the Barboach… when a bone club hit it in mid-air and launched it back in the other direction! Cubone Simon maybe wasn’t the fastest contestant, but she had range with thrown bones!
‘A fast clash immediately! But who will adapt the fastest!?’ the announcer called, very excited.
‘Nice hit, Simon!’ Simon called to his Cubone. ‘Alright, Simon! After the ball!’ Simon called, and his Barboach went into pursuit after the ball that had been repelled by the Cubone! Ralts Simon kept ready to try to help, albeit didn’t see that much.
The large three-headed one-brained dragon kept a steady look at him as Basil started his speech. Other than heavy dragon breathing, there was no reaction to the first part of his speech. There was the mildest of a scoff when he said he didn’t want to insult her intelligence, then… when he said he wanted to ask one of her kids to come with him. Now that got her attention. If her eyes previously were narrowed in focus, they now opened wide as she glared down at him. Her presence towered over him.
There was a growl when he mentioned Team Amethyst. She stayed relatively quiet as he finished his tale, his affirmation and determination laid bare before the Brutal Pokémon. She waited a couple seconds, raising her middle head higher as she seemed to be thinking something over, the Deinos behind her watching curiously. She lowered her heads down to him, almost looking like her head was going to sniff him or something…
When her mouth swung open, and in the dark depths of her mouth a purple gathering of massive power brew while the two other heads snickered menacingly.
That would be Dragon Pulse, about to be shot a couple inches from his face, directed into his face.

The Axew stared up at him like he was out of his mind when patted and told that Basil would not be turning back. Well, guess there wasn’t much the little dragon could do to stop him, so the little dragon dashed away. Seemed like the priority here was to not be caught in the crossfire.
With that, Basil advanced on his own into the possibly soon to be literally dead end. The dragon, which according to the Pokédex is only basically 6 feet tall or 1.8 meters, was definitely much much larger because the Pokédex is silly. As Basil walked, little grunts escaped the monstrous beast as she roused from her rest, pulling herself off the ground and raising her heads up high. She stretched her necks, extended her wings as she gave a small yawn from each of her three mouths… and then her eyes opened, and her heads lowered to glare imposingly at Basil. She had notably not opened her eyes until Basil had come to a stop.
With that, the dragon advanced on him in turn. Her middle head glared at him from in front and the two other heads snaked around to glare at him from the left and right respectively, the dragon lazily waving her wings somehow hovering above him. She hadn’t attacked yet. The numerous Deinos around were looking at the scene curiously. Basil had an opportunity to speak.

‘What!? Pirates!? Where!?’ Zachery called out in feign shock as Skylar called out to them, looking around rapidly with an alarmed-looking gaze.
‘Wait, we!? Arrgh, you’re sharp! What gave us away!?’ he then asked, glaring towards Skylar while the pirate-flag fluttered in the wind back on his ship.
Though, a moment later he broke down into laughter.
‘Hahaha! I’m just messing with you. One of Kalmia’s trainers, are ya? Mila! Get me my notebook!’ he said, and a few moments later one of his girls came over and handed him a notebook. The pirate put down the Shuckle he’d been holding, grabbed the notebook with the same hand and then started leafing through it with his hook-hand.
‘So, what’s your name, and what do you want? We’ve got every Pokémon that isn’t native to Isson on this ship! … Almost every!’ Zachery added, because there were a couple ones they didn’t have. Like, legendary Pokémon, special Pokémon, etc.

‘Wow, what a fantastic little place! A cozy corner in the heart of the bustling Entertainment District. A lovely find, Erika!’ Joshua complimented her before the start of their meal, because the Makuno-Uchi was indeed a very nice place for their meal.
In the middle of the conversation, Erika brought up her mother. Maple’s face brightened up in amazement.
‘You’re from there!? Oh, that’s amazing! Please, tell me the name and street of your mother and I’ll be sure to check in with her! Also, give me your number so we can talk more!’ Maple excitedly bounced to Erika as she discussed all the things.
With the thing with Ewan and Joshua, she got a nod and an agreement.
‘Will do. Suppose there’s a number of things in this city I’d like to check,’ Ewan said. ‘Hm. Let’s see. There’s a contest arena down here, isn’t there…?’ Joshua considered, looking deep in thought all of a sudden.
After that, Erika thanked Elana… Elana took a moment to take the straw out of her mouth and give Erika a gentle smile.
‘No worries. Just drop in at Lakewatch Town when you’d like my help. Now, underwater is not my area of expertise, and we actually do have an underwater expert…’ Elana shrugged a little. ‘… but if you want me, that can be arranged.’
With people having said their goodbyes for now, Erika and Sno headed off into the Entertainment District, the air abuzz with chatter and happy tones as people searched for the places to spend their Ps. Erika herself found the place that she wanted go to next… PokéMania.
She quickly found that PokéMania had two entrances, one for the audience and one for contestants. There was apparently a function where audience-members were able to bet on which of the contestants they thought would win, and they were able to win money doing that. Anyway, since assumingly she wanted to win those prices, here’s where we assume she enters as a competitor.
After entering, she found herself in a lobby. There’s a receptionist over there, and a bunch of other Pokémon Trainers talking amongst themselves about various things that could or could not happen to them when they were in there. It seemed she’d entered at a good time, because…
‘HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO my wonderful contestants! Welcome to PokéMania!’ called a bouncy girl with a Pachirisu on her shoulder and those are definitely Pachirisu ears that stepped out onto a stage above where all the would-be contestants were standing.
Pokédex Entry #417 – Pachirisu, the EleSquirrel Pokémon. It makes electricity with pouches in its cheeks and shoots charges from its tail. It makes fur balls that crackle with static electricity, and stores them with berries in tree holes. A pair may be seen rubbing their cheek pouches together in an effort to share stored electricity.
‘In a moment, you’ll be called out to do battle for the amusement of the crowd! We’re gonna add some wacky rules for you all to follow, while the audience lose their money by betting on your opponents! Because you’re gonna win, aren’t you? Aren’t you? Of course you are!’ she called, winking to the contestants, and her Pachirisy winked in tandem with her.
‘I’m Makirisu, and I will be commenting on your battles! When you win, you’ll get fancy prices! There are battle items, there are shop vouchers, there’s a whole lot of TMs, and even Pokémon! There’s also a special secret price for someone who makes us feel they earned it~!’ the hired-in idol called to the contestants.
‘Drop a mention to the receptionist what kind of reward you’d prefer, but other than that you won’t know what you’re getting until after you get it~! But, if you don’t like it you can hand it back and just get cash instead. Plain old boring cash,’ she said with a little laugh.
‘With that, let’s get to it!’
Erika’d need to register who she is with the receptionist and also optionally type in a description for herself if she wanted to. After that, contestants would start being called in one after another, but Erika was a little late to the party. However, she wouldn’t be allowed to watch the battles herself, because they wouldn’t want her or the other contestants to know what kind of rules they don’t have to prepare for.
However, eventually she’d be called in, and…
She’d arrive at a brilliant little arena, with tons of shining lights. There was a crowd of people gathered around in the room, ready to cheer on whoever stepped into the arena. It seemed a lot of people liked watching whoever would engage in battle in here. On the other side of the arena was one of the other contestants.
‘Hi! I’m Colin, the Cooltrainer! W-well, one day! I actually kinda just dressed up as one because Cooltrainers are so cool. Uh. Let’s go!’
‘We’re here with the next match! On this side, we get Colin, the “hopeful Cooltrainer”! Raised in Pureplain City, he’s coming all the way here to Worldedge City to grow stronger as a trainer! He’s competed here twice before, so he should be getting into the swing of things!’ Makirisu was standing at a podium above the battle commentating. Now she pointed over at Erika, and what she says now will completely depend on what Erika actually wrote in, so we’ll hold it there.
‘With that done, let’s spin the wheel!’ she called, and there was actually a giant wheel with far too many potential rules in it to possibly be deciphered. Makirisu pressed a button, and the giant wheel started spinning… and…
‘And we’ve got a classic! It’s the Inverse Battle! Type match-ups are reversed, and no type is immune to any type!’ Makirisu shouted out, and the crowd cheered. The field suddenly shifted colors and some form of terrain effect was applied from the walls, changing the rules of the battle as it was. But then… the wheel spun again.
‘Oh, what’s this? The wheel spins again! It’s a two-for-one!’ the announcer called out again, and so it indeed did! It spun, and spun, until it eventually landed on…
‘It’s a Snagem Battle!’ Makirisu called, and the crowd went wild. ‘It’s a first for both of you, isn’t it? Well, the point of the Snagem Battle is to capture the opponent’s Pokémon! They’re not ACTUALLY going to be captured, but they will count as out! So lower their health, maybe apply a status-condition, then throw a ball! Of course, throwing a ball and then not capturing the opponent's Pokémon will mean a free move for them! Both of you will be provided an unlimited amount of normal Pokéballs!’ As she said that, a barrel of Pokéballs was placed next to each of the contestants. ‘If you faint the opposing Pokémon, they immediately recover to full health! Oh, but if they faint themselves, they’re out! So don’t go exploding on us!’
‘So we’ve got an Inverse Snagem Battle! Think you got the brains to figure THAT ONE out!? Only one way to find out! One Pokémon at a time, 1-on-1! Both trainers, pick your Pokémon! You’ve got one minute!’
With that, they were given their minute, then…
‘Ready! Set! Battle!’
‘Here we go…!’
And so Colin threw out his first Pokémon… The Pokéball opened, and with a beam of light, a little dude with a green hat manifested!
Pokédex Entry #271 – Lombre, the Jolly Pokémon. Nocturnal, it sleeps on a bed of water grass by day. Naturally mischievous, it’s known to tug at the lines of anglers or popping out of rivers to startle people, among other things. Its body is covered with a slippery, slimy film that makes touching it very unpleasant to the common human.
Lombre’s moveset is Astonish, Growl, Absorb, Bubble, Fury Swipes and Fake Out.
Pokédex Entry #267 – Beautifly, the Butterfly Pokémon. It likes the sweet pollen of flowers, which it eats with its long, narrow mouth. Often seen flying around fields of flowers. Despite its appearance, it is an aggressive Pokémon that will ferociously attack should it be angered.
Beautifly’s moveset is Tackle, String Shot, Poison Sting, Bug Bite, Harden, Gust, Absorb, Stun Spore, Morning Sun and Air Cutter.
Pokédex Entry #215 – Sneasel, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. It scales trees and ice by punching its hooked claws into surfaces. Naturally vicious, it gangs up and cooperates to lure away the parents while another steals the eggs, which they then eat, though frequently betray their packmates if they can get the food for itself. It uses the shroud of night to conceal its actions.
Sneasel’s moveset is Scratch, Leer, Taunt, Quick Attack, Feint Attack, Icy Wind, Fury Swipes and Agility.
So, what will Erika do?
Worldedge City
A rush of energy flows with the wind that breezes through the alleys of the city. Somehow, you feel lighter, like some strange weight has been taken from your shoulders. Looking up, tall, massive structures, structures seeming to defy gravity and common sense grow, stretching high into the sky and far down across the cliffs. The people look calm, focused on their duties and sprawling in their number, holding a vital position in all the businesses of Isson. The design of the streets are narrow, illogical and unstructured, and feel like they would be easy to get lost in, yet it is as if you’re being guided by fate’s hand and you’ll arrive where you were intending to go. In the distance, always watching, the peaks of a distant mountain rise. You are now in Worldedge City.
Isson’s largest city. It grew into place on both sides of Mt. Edge as efforts were made to dig through the mountain and join the northern and southern landmasses, it was known as two different towns until the use of Abras as public transportation method within the city was widely adopted and the city grew to become known as one single entity. Widely accepted is the idea that a mystical energy of some form within Mt. Edge surges around the buildings, calling Psychic Pokémon towards the mountain and therefore the city. People living here have an easier time feeling at ease with the world, and the laws of gravity don't apply as they maybe should to the buildings around here. From this would Isson’s most successful city grow to be, at the place where two or more worlds connect. So was Worldedge City named.
It should be noted that being called a “Worldedge Resident” has some negative stigma attached to it. If you are one, you’re interpreted as a lazy individual who has it easier than the rest of the world, happiness coming naturally to you and you probably see yourself as superior to the rest of Isson, and you might not be entirely sane or yourself due to constant exposure to the energies of Mt. Edge. Of course, this is a stereotype that most people recognize and can see past, but there is no smoke without fire, so to say. There those who are very distrustful of the energies of Mt. Edge and would rather never subject themselves to it. These particular dislikes compounded and grew strong enough in some people that the Crossing was created just south of Worldedge City just so those individuals could get past without entering the city.
The city is comprised of six different districts. Three districts on each side of Mt. Edge, stapled on top of one another by the way of leaning on the cliff sides and mountain as well as giant pillars, taking advantage of the strange physics around Mt. Edge. Exits out of the city are on the middle districts of each side. Each district has their own Pokémon Center and Pokémart, but otherwise have their own unique features.
The following applies regardless of where in Worldedge City you are.
Connected areas: Route 10. South of Worldedge. A farmland employing multiple psychic Pokémon from Mt. Edge to help with the crops. Route 13. West of Worldedge. A slightly disturbed route, which attracts electric Pokémon due to the proximity of the power plant. Mt. Edge. The mystical mountain at the heart of Worldedge’s unnatural existence. Few people actually cross its fabled tunnels, most just teleport past. Route 18. East of Worldedge. A calm stretch of land going from Worldedge to Witchpeak, part of the Allmass Cycling Circuit.
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in cities~ 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the city to any of the connected areas. 350P if you need to Abra to the other side of Mt. Edge for it. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Places. Visit any of the places in the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Freecape Ferrymen Office. Fly you to any settlement you’ve already been for 500P! 6.4. Any of the notable places unique to the various districts. 7. Abra Teleport. 350P, and an Abra will teleport you to the other side of Mt. Edge. 8: Worldedge City Trades: Psychic-type 8.1. ‘I asked for something colorful, but Zachery gave me this horrible fish! Please, give me a Flabébé instead.’ 8.2. ‘This is Indeedee. I’d like an Aron. Can you trade me an Aron for my Indeedee?’ 8.3. ‘It was so cute, but then I looked up what it becomes upon evolution. Yikes. Trade me a Petilil for this Flittle?’

Entertainment District
In the depths of Northern Worldedge City, common sense goes out the window. Given all the buildings on top, few actual lights come down here even during the day, but all the blazing lights in this unnatural city-scape more than make up for it. Plenty of the skyscrapers holding up the Commercial District above have some form of advertisement, and each open door opens a new possible way to spend money in these depths of entertainment, probably with some form of Pokémon logo. Down here lies the most famous and populated Game Corner on Isson, where thousands of P are being wasted every day, and houses for unofficial Contests or Battles for money and prices are sanctioned and bet upon for the enjoyment of viewers and participants. It truly feels like if one never got bored, one would probably never run out of things to do down here… assuming the wallet didn’t run dry, that is.
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Game Corner. Only play with as much you’re willing to spend! 2. Countless restaurants, stores, cinemas, show-houses, amusement-parks, whatevs. You can waste the rest of your money here, on whatever you want! 3. PokéMania! Do battle for the enjoyment of the viewers, and have sudden strange rules applied to every battle! Fancy prices~ 4. Contest Clarity. Forget all ranks, here we do contests for the show, and the show alone! Oh, and for cash prices~ 5. Deep Dark Depths of Worldedge. This city feels like it goes on forever! How far does it go…?
Residential District
On the absolute top of the northern districts, you’ll find the place in Worldedge City with the freshest air. While the building architecture still might require a raised eyebrow, the atmosphere is healthy and playful, many families making their life here on top of the Commercial and Entertainment districts, where they work. Schools and little parks for children to learn the ways of Pokémon exist, and there is nothing saying those older cannot use them too. The Little Cup stadium is here, allowing the children to watch and perhaps participate without straying too far from home. Yet, among these buildings live a few of the most noteworthy individuals in Isson. Like the rumored and powerful Crone, who has to be battled by a strong trainer every once in a while or she will stir up trouble, or like the empty mansion that supposedly belongs to the Champion…
Notable Places:
1. Practice Park. A little park in the residential district where children can catch low-level Pokémon and train for the real thing. 2. Pokémon Day Care. For people to leave their Pokémon while they’re doing something else. Some people don’t like PCs, so~ 3. Little Cup. A small stadium for battling. Levels 15 and lower, only. 4. Champion Estate. The Champion supposedly lives in this mansion here. It looks abandoned. 5. Creator’s Apartment. You instinctively know where this place is somehow, despite nothing advertising it. It’s visually an ordinary apartment. The door is open. 6. House of the Crone. Signs say “We appreciate people challenging her to keep her from being bored, but only if you are confident in your strength.”
Commercial District
Squeezed in-between the Residential District and the Entertainment District lies the Commercial District. It’s a long, winding corridor of tight buildings with many bridges and storefronts, and it all leads up to the Worldedge Department Store, the biggest Pokémart in Isson. If you somehow cannot find what you’re looking for there, then you’re probably all out of luck. It isn’t all there is here, however. Among the corridors is the House of Trades, where people can sit at computers and request trades with all other people that have ever been there, as well as the Psychic Train that uses certain teleporting abilities to achieve transportation to a distant town. Or, if those don’t reach where you want, you can just call a Freecape Ferryman and s/he’ll fly you there, assuming you have the cash. Also here, lies the store where the infamous inventor Russel sells his products. Perhaps, if you’re lucky, the fool’s things actually work for you? No guarantees, though!
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Department Store. Products from all over Isson gather, right here. The largest store of Isson. 2. Worldedge Trade Station. A place where people can come trade Pokémon and items with people from all over! 3. Pokémon Groomer. For a price, you can have some professionals treat your Pokémon like royalty~! 4. Psychic Train. Runs along spiritual tracks to lead somewhere else in the world. The trips are one-way only. 4.1. Justroad City/Gentlevale City/Witchpeak City. 500P 4.2. Bigfjord City/Freecape Town/Raremine Town. 1000P 4.3. Redcoast City/Rainrock City/Pureplain City. 2000P 5. Freecape Ferrymen Phone. A phone linked to call a Freecape Ferryman, who can Fly you somewhere in the world for a considerable price. 6. Food Stands. Hot dogs to ice creams. Pretty good. 7. Inventor Russel’s Store. Russel, crazy inventor. Who knows what he might have for sale? He’s also known to give random stuff or quests to trainers passing by, giving them cash as incentive.
To reach the Southern Districts, you’ll need an Abra to teleport you or walk through the tunnels of Mt. Edge. Costs 350P.
Information District
No, they’re not exclusively witches around here.
A common and calm area of Worldedge City, this district attracts those who would fancy themselves scholars. They may seek to share their knowledge at the multiple cafés spread about, read up at the library, check into the museum or any number of things. There aren’t that many things here that would keep a Pokémon Trainer dawdling around for long, and most residents here are fine with that. It is still quite the spectacle, walking on the bridges between these pointy buildings, finding the streets and wondering how you're not lost yet in this maze of stairs and bridges, never touching the ground. Far above lies the Mystical District and there are plenty of stairs up, and down below is the Industrial District… It may feel a bit enclosed. Most notable in this area is most certainly the famous Professor Dunstan’s lab and residence, which he mostly leaves to his companions as he spends a lot of his time in the other lab in Raremine Town as well.
Notable Places:
1. Guide Booth. Because finding your way in Worldedge City can be a challenge! 2. Gossiping Cafés. If you want to hear the useful kind of gossip, sit in among the intellectuals. Ask and you may be surprised at how much you can learn! 3. Sir Know-Em-All. A famed Psychic. If you can think of a person, Sir Know-Em-All can tell you where to go to meet them! 4. Professor Dunstan’s Lab. A legendary researcher of Legendary Pokémon, do you have reason to seek his counsel? 5. World Library. With the backing of Professor Dunstan himself, this library has all the information you could possibly seek… probably. 6. Isson Museum. Don’t feel like travelling to all the corners of the world? Don’t need to, the museum has gathered up the noteworthy things from all its corners! 7. Move Tutor Mansion. A gathering-spot for those talented in teaching Pokémon moves they wouldn’t normally learn.
Industrial District
There is no way this place can have screwed-up gravity and emotional influence without companies trying to use it for their own gains. The factories of Worldedge City are far below the Information District, down at water-level, where at the base of Mt. Edge countless machines tumble and toll for the continued success of man- and Pokémon-kind. Being below two other districts the Industrial District is naturally dark, even during the day, but countless lights shine it up and the workers do not mind one bit. They have their own marketplaces, their own little residences and they certainly earn enough to make their own lives when it comes to that. But, among the factories and warehouses are those that stand empty, and one might have to wonder what’s actually inside them sometimes.
Notable Places:
1. Factories. Produces everything from Pokédolls to furniture, and who-the-heck-knows. 2. Abandoned Factories. Produces everything from Grimers to street thugs, and who-the-heck-knows. 3. Warehouses. Storing items from factories, some more well-used than others. Some opens by keycards. 4. Request Center. A certain camp of individuals that can take your requests for Pokémon or items you want, and they might come back and provide them for you. Sounds easy, right? 5. Sketchy Entrances. … The heck are you doing down here? They hid these things down here for a REASON, normal people wouldn’t normally ever need to see them! 6. ???. Trigger a “random” event. Not sure why you’d be walking down here, but.
Mystical District
The tip and top of Southern Worldedge City, here the power the mountain provides is enough for certain buildings to float in mid-air. Assisted by Psychic-Pokémon, the upper echelons of the city contains a significant price-tag for those who’d wish to live here and so filters the more common men to the levels below, yet there are activities that draw trainers up from the depths. First and foremost is the Pokémon Gym, floating above their heads, and also the Worldedge Floating Stadium, the largest and most amazing of the multiple stadiums in Worldedge City, where the most epic of battles in the city are fought and watched. Truly, these streets so high above the rest leave a certain impression as one walks here.
Notable Places:
1. Pokémon Gym. Worldedge City Gym. It’s one of those towers floating in mid-air… You need to fly to get there. 2. Worldedge Floating Stadium. Worldedge’s biggest stadium, floating over the city. Have Minor (level 25-minus), Middle (level 25-50) and Major (level 50-plus) cups. 3. The Villas of the Rich. Not that there’s much you could potentially do with them, but they’re here. 4. Orlando’s Spiritual Dojo. A dojo focused on discovering one’s spiritual self. Often takes trips into Mt. Edge. You can join an expedition for protection, or challenge them! 5. Marilyn’s Divination. Tell her where you’re going next, and she can divine your luck and what to look out for when there! 6. Gym Leader’s Home. … So, those who can’t get to the Gym themselves are sometimes known to wait for the leader here. It’s a little frowned upon.
There were a couple other miners that had to take a look that Eryn hadn’t managed to unleash an unspeakable monstrosity that she needed help with when Peri roared, but they could soon confirm it was just a Pokémon making her opinion heard and be about their way.
With that, they decided to head on, into Frozen Cave proper. They found the trek to lead upwards, most of the trail was upwards, leading to risks of slipping and sliding all the way back where she’d come from. But, journeying forward, Eryn made her way through increasingly tight frozen tunnels, until eventually it opened up at least a little. A cold wind hit her in the face.
It appeared to be snowing.
Frozen Cave
The tunnels of the Frozen Cave are a series of pathways inside, and above, the mountain range surrounding Cooldome City and Route 9. In various places the signs of construction are evident, as people attempted to tame the caverns, but ultimately to no avail. There are quite a few paths that lead down through icy halls where only the frozen walls are your companions, but an equal amount lead in over the mountainside with the open sky above and a constant snowfall. Ice sticks out like crystals, forming both the path that one may walk on as well as the scenery one might be awed by.
The icy nature here is untamed and wild. Compared to the calm coolness of the mines, here the cold feels substantially more hostile. Any trainer heading through here must beware or they will slip, and not all paths one can slip down have access to easy paths back up. Cold blows eternally from above and below. Many ice-Pokémon make their home here, and quite a few of them are at least somewhat aggressive in nature. All of this caused these caves to once be judged to be a great challenge, and any Pokémon Trainer that is able to brave them is worthy of the battle-focused city of Cooldome City that awaits on the other side…
Albeit, most people who make their way to Cooldome City does so by the far safer Tunnel on the eastern side instead.
And, the first thing Eryn might realize as she arrived in this area… are that there are some bats around that just won’t be dissuaded by cold!
Pokédex Entry #41 – Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. It lives in colonies in dark places. It has no eyes, but when flying it is constantly emitting ultrasonic sounds which it uses to navigate through echolocation. As sunlight burns it, it’s usually only found in caves or at night.
But other than that, Eryn wouldn’t be terribly surprised by the Pokémon she found. There were small gatherings of Snorunts walking about…
Pokédex Entry #361 – Snorunt, the Snow Hat Pokémon. They're found in snow-regions in groups of five. In warmer seasons, they tend to sleep deep in caverns. They can survive on only eating snow and ice. According to old folklore, a house visited or inhabited by a Snorunt is sure to prosper.
There were numerous Delibirds around. It actually appeared that the Delibirds were heading down or up the mountain, likely down to get food and then up again to deliver to their chicks.
Pokédex Entry #225 – Delibird, the Delivery Pokémon. The bag it carries its food with is actually its tail. It’s known to scourge up food all day to bring home to its chicks, but it also shares this food with anyone it comes across. There are plenty of tales of people lost in snowy mountains saved by the food of wandering Delibirds. However, sometimes said food is bugs.
In fact, as someone they came across, the Delibirds just happily gave Eryn things they’d found. Mostly berries.
Eryn obtained Oran Berry! Eryn obtained Rawst Berry! Eryn obtained Pecha Berry! Eryn obtained Oran Berry! Eryn obtained Dead Bug! Eryn obtained Aspear Berry!
… Mostly berries.
There’s also small brown hairy pigs here and there sniffing around the snow.
Pokédex Entry #220 – Swinub, the Pig Pokémon. To survive frigid landscapes, it uses its keen nose to find and dig up mushrooms, berries and other things under the ice. If it smells something enticing, it's known for dashing headlong towards it. It's sometimes used to find hot springs.
A bit more uncommonly, she or her companions could see small and darker creatures spying past corners at her, gauging how viable a target she might be.

So those were the creatures she’d found without going too deep, and the latter only because she spent a while training.
But, hey. She spent the while training. So some results from that.
Now, something that might shock you is that most ice-type Pokémon here knows either Icy Wind or Powder Snow, endangering training for Atha substantially. This applied to Peri, too, whose Rock-type didn’t give her defense against ice. Kylie would help with her steel-type moves, unfortunately she doesn’t know any. At the very least she resists ice.
Still, they got some training in.
Dei grew to level 19! Dei learned Scary Face! Kyllene grew to level 19! Peri grew to level 17! Peri learned Stealth Rock! Atha grew to level 16! Erebi grew to level 17! Erebi learned Faint Attack!
But what would she do now?
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Move back. Go back to the Frozen Cave Mines, and to safety. 4. Proceed. Delve deeper into the Frozen Cave, possibly seeking a destination. 4.1. Get through. There is an exit on the other side of the Frozen Cave. You can attempt getting to it. 4.2. Descend. It very much feels like you can descend lower and lower through these caves. What could await down there? 4.3. Ascend. Besides down, it also feels like upwards could be a potential direction, climbing up through the various holes the snow and wind falls through. 5. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 6. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 7. ??? … Is that… the sound of shouting coming from the depths? Past a slide? Should you do something?
Connected areas: Frozen Cave, Mines. At the entrance of the Frozen Cave. Route 9. If you were to get all the way through.
Well, here we go! Imagine a typical soccer field, but there's Pokémon on it. Simon doesn't have much of a strategy yet, so his Pokémon are mostly standing/floating side-by-side. We can do this in a collab/battle channel if you wish. Either way, this should turn out amusing.

‘Oh, and I forgot to say. Albeit the teams are 3-on-3, you can switch out your Pokémon after any goal, or during a single time-out that you can call at any time!’ the announcer continued. So you’re not locked to the team you have currently the whole time if you want to switch it up.
‘Oooh! Yeah, I remember you!’ Simon suddenly spun and pointed towards her with a confident pose. ‘And I am Simon! I am the one that one day will be the best, like no one ever was! It- it’s not been going that well so far, but that’s about to change! I accept your challenge!’ he said… but Claire had already moved on. ‘Hey, wait!’
Simon dashed after, to his side of the field. A referee was standing with the ball at the ready. Simon got into position, grabbing three Pokéballs. ‘Alright! I chose you, Simon, Simon and Simon!’ With that, Simon called out his Pokémon… all named Simon.
They were an oblong fish manifesting in the little floating bubble that Water-Pokémon get on land if they can’t walk, a little mammal wielding a bone-club and a skull on her head… and a Ralts.
Pokédex Entry #339 – Barboach, the Whiskers Pokémon. It buries itself in mud with only its whiskers visible, awaiting prey. The whiskers are very sensitive and serve as a superb radar-system, giving it awareness of its surroundings. It is covered by a slimy film which prevents intrusion of germs and is very slippery if a foe tries to grab it.
Pokédex Entry #280 – Ralts, the Feeling Pokémon. The horn on its head can sense emotions, and its own mood will be affected in turn. It will approach positive emotion and its body will warm, while it will shy away from and avoid negativity and hostility. Quite rare to see in nature.
Pokédex Entry #104 – Cubone, the Lonely Pokémon. Each Cubone is under the impression its mother is dead and it wears her skull over its head, despite the ridiculous ramifications had this been true. As it never removes the skull (and is apparently born with it), it is said nobody has seen its face. When alone, it cries loudly and makes the skull rattle.
As soon as Claire had sent out her team and probably explained the rules to them, too, Simon probably has to tell his Pokémon what they’re doing as well, the announcer would start speaking. With that, Simon had his formation. Simon (Barboach) and Simon (Cubone) was standing forward and ready, with Simon (Ralts) standing a bit further behind by the goal.
‘Alright! So we have Pokémon Trainer Claire facing Pokémon Trainer Simon! The winner will move on to face the Gym Leader in the same sport! This is Pokémon Soccer! First to three goals or most goals within 15 minutes wins! This show starts NOW!’ he called, and the ball was hit into the air by the referee. No, nothing about who starts with the ball here, this is more fun. With that, the whistle is blown, and the game is on.
Now, Simon is immediately going to start barking orders, maybe most relevant that Barboach is going to do a quick swim directly at the ball to strike at it, but perhaps Claire wants to take the initiative? Or does she want to hear what Simon is ordering first?
… Oh, and it would seem someone’s calling her. Assuming she registered her as a contact, it’s Maple, who she once shared contact information with. Maybe not the best time, but she sure is calling.
Basil ventured into the caves… and was immediately greeted by the sounds of conflict. Two large dragons were currently striking at one another, battling it out while a crowd of smaller dragons looked on in awe. Seems like there may be a territorial dispute going on in here.
The two Pokémon in conflict were a pair of dragons…
Pokédex Entry #444 – Gabite, the Cave Pokémon. It’s known to endlessly dig into caverns after jewels and other shining objects, which it loves. It is known to amass shiny objects into hoards it in its nest. It’s known to sometimes shed its scales, and rumors say the scales of Gabites have powers to cure incurable illnesses, and they’re therefore sought for.
Pokédex Entry #611 – Fraxure, the Axe Jaw Pokémon. Their tusks are hard and powerful enough to shatter rocks, but if it breaks it no longer grows back. Fraxures therefore carefully maintain their tusks, sharpening them on river-rocks after battles. If they meet another Fraxure, they’ll commonly battle intensely for territory.
Watching them were a bunch of their pre-evolved forms.
Pokédex Entry #610 – Axew, the Tusk Pokémon. They use their tusks to crush the berries they eat. They tend to mark their territory by leaving gashes in trees or cavern-walls, though the tusks often break. They grow back swiftly, and with repeated regrowth the tusks of an Axew grow strong and sharp.
There’s definitely a bunch of marks all over the cavern walls where Axews have been trying to mark their territory. Kind of hard to determine which mark is left by what Pokémon, though.
Pokédex Entry #443 – Gible, the Land Shark Pokémon. It lives in holes in caves warmed by geothermal heat. It awaits prey to stray too close to said holes, and then pounce out to bite them. While usually found underground for heat, they’ve been known to venture into colder climates while huddling together with others of its kind for warmth.
Besides that, there are more Deinos here, and some Druddigons flying past.
Pokédex Entry #633 – Deino, the Irate Pokémon. Usually found nesting deep in a cave. Deinos cannot see, and their first instinct upon encountering anything is biting and eating it. Approaching them carelessly is dangerous. It is said a trainer will be covered in wounds before a Deino has warmed up to them enough to not automatically bite.
Pokédex Entry #621 – Druddigon, the Cave Pokémon. It keeps its body warm by absorbing the light of the sun, without which it grows cold and cannot move. It relies on speed and sharp claws to hunt down its prey in narrow caves, before it returns outside to be heated by the sun. The red on its face is harder than rock.
There were more tunnels that Basil could walk through, but there was a single tunnel that it seemed like all other dragons were keeping a distance from. In fact, if Basil tried to go there, an Axew was going to step in his way, fear in the little dragon’s eyes. Even so, he could potentially get a peek inside…
… and see a massive, three-headed dragon that was currently in the process of resting, all six of its wings curled up and body lying down into a resting position. A couple Deinos and a couple eggs were scattered around the creature.
Pokédex Entry #635 – Hydreigon, the Brutal Pokémon. Only the middle head has a brain, but it eats and attacks using all three. It is highly intelligent, yet highly prone to violence. It sees anything that moves as an opponent and attacks, so the solution to surviving a wild encounter is staying very still. People of the past thought of it as evil incarnate.
Well. He found A mother. Albeit maybe he’d be better off finding… ANY other?
So, what now?
Dragon Lake
While the whole lake is commonly referred to as “Dragon Lake”, it is mostly just the numerous islands to the north-west of the lake that are the true dragon habitats, the rest is commonly referred to as Route 14. These islands are spiky, tall cliffs standing like daggers out of the waters of the lake, with numerous caverns within which the dragons make their nests. In the waters as well, numerous aquatic dragons swim about, enjoying their time. It is unclear why exactly this became the hunting grounds of the dragons, but they happily feast on the various fish that live in the waters of the island and sometimes fly to the nearby routes to find their prey.
Of course, lately there have been far fewer dragons. Poachers of Team Amethyst caught so many dragons for their value being sold to the highest bidders, leading to a sharp dip in their wild populations. Hence why, at any point of time, there’s now Lake Watchers standing and floating as guards around the island, in various little ships looking out with their Pokémon. It is also common to see them on the island, counting dragons and helping fend off any would-be invader with great force. Suffice to say, it’s become very difficult to capture a dragon from here unnoticed. A common sight here is the Gym Leader of Lakewatch Town herself playing with the dragons, and also counting them one by one to see if any are missing…
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon.Yeah, no. Just you try it. 3. Go back. Talk to Lesley, she’ll gladly fly you back. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Caves. Dragon Lake Spires have caves in them. You can venture into them.
Connected areas: Route 14. The lake surrounding Dragon Lake is also known as Route 14.
Erika trained her Pokémon for a bit. With Gibs and Eep there were plenty of Electric-types to battle, and for Gibs that meant resisting electricity but taking their Tackle and Quick Attacks from Electrike while Shinx came with the occasional Bite in addition to Tackle. For Eep, he could resist both their electricity and their normal strikes, no problem.
For Tara against Normal or Flying types it was more equal. All the Meowths here have Fake Out, guaranteeing some damage against each one of them, Hoothoot has Hypnosis, Murkrow is pretty strong and Bunnelby… yeah, Bunnelby is a good mark. As she trained, she could find another cat on this route, a slightly rarer one but absolutely one that still exists.
Pokédex Entry #431 – Glameow, the Catty Pokémon. It claws when displeased and purrs when affectionate. It can switch between the two very swiftly, this fickleness is very popular among some. When happy its tail makes beautiful movements, like a dancing ribbon. Its glare can put foes into a hypnotic state.
Glameow knows Hypnosis and sometimes Faint Attack, might be a good idea to stay clear.
Erika trained her Pokémon, and so did her companions because what else were they going to do (minus Elana)… when she heard something unexpected. In various patches of grass around here, there were small Pokémon cheering the wild Pokémon on. They weren’t joining the battle themselves, but the small yellow creatures seemed just compelled to cheer on their fellow wild Pokémon and cry when they lost…
Pokédex Entry #311 – Plusle, the Cheering Pokémon. It very eagerly cheers on friends and partners. It can short out its arms and body to create cackling noises of sparks to show joy or to create fuzzy pom-poms on its hands. It lives off of electricity found in telephone poles. Having a Plusle and Minun at the same time boosts their power and their cheers.
Pokédex Entry #312 – Minun, the Cheering Pokémon. It cheers for friends and partners, even at the cost of its own safety. If its friends are losing, they will increase the amount of sparks they give off. Exposure to its electricity is known to promote blood circulation and relax muscles. Having a Plusle and Minun at the same time boosts their power and their cheers.
So that’s something. In any case, some training got done eventually.
Gibs grew to level 20! Gibs learned Sand Tomb!
Eep grew to level 18! Eep learned Ancient Power!
Tara grew to level 17! Tara learned Round!
With that, they moved on!
They arrived at Worldedge City, a magnificent sight, maybe hampered a little by the fact every single one of the people aside from maybe Erika has been there before. Still, many smiles could be seen looking around at the bewildering cityscape.
They transported themselves to the Entertainment District, where they could find themselves a nice place to eat that where they then could talk and such. It was a cozy little place, albeit with a lot of shining lights and happy happenstances. Psychic-type servers delivered their food in a timely fashion and then moved about their day.
So they could talk about what they wanted to do after this.
‘For our journey, we started by… spending a significant amount of time at the Pokémon Contests in Pureplain City! We then headed east, and we had a bunch of fun adventures in Wet Caverns, Frozen Cave, and more! We headed north and collected the Treetop Badge from Stillwood Village! Come to think of it, most of our journey has been shared with lovely Erika here!’ Joshua summarized.
‘Me and Maple…’ Ellyn started talking, as Maple was still chewing down a bunch of food. ‘… That is, Maple basically dragged me all the way to Magmagulf because she wanted to catch fire-types. So we did, straight across the ocean of Route 27, too. We collected the badge there while we could. The Gym Leader was surprised it was our first badge, the Magmagulf Town badge is usually among the latter Minor League badges a trainer takes. Pretty sure he went very easy on us…’ Ellyn lamented a little…
‘But then we headed straight south again!’ Maple shone up with shining excited eyes. She then pulled out her Trainer Card, showing off the fact it was displaying four badges. ‘We got the badge of Magmagulf Town, then went south and took Redcoast City badge, then all the way down to Highhill Town, finally east to Stillwood Village! We trained in Mt. Strength in there a bit before, too, that’s when we ran into Claire…’ Her eyes suddenly shone up.
‘Ah! That’s right! I got Claire’s number! I want to go call her right now!’
Maple’s just gonna go over and call. Claire might be preoccupied with a soccer match, though.
‘It seems we might be a bit behind with only a single badge,’ Ewan said, not necessarily looking like he had any trouble with it. ‘But I think, if we were to match strength, we’d come out roughly equal. We’ve been training our Pokémon, after all,’ he said.
‘Ah! That’s right!’ Maple came back from having tried calling Claire a little later. ‘We still must go get the Freecape Town and Raremine Town badges! Let’s see… what types do they use…’ Maple considered.
‘Flying and Ground-type,’ Ellyn said, not missing a beat.
‘Ah! And for that…’ Maple looked like she deflated a little. ‘… my team of Fire and Electric might not be the best against Ground, hehe,’ she chuckled a bit… then her eyes trailed to Sno, and her eyes shone wide again.
‘… Ellyn. Ice is strong against both Flying and Ground,’ Maple remarked.
‘Uh… yeah…?’ Ellyn asked, looking a bit uneasy. That’s when Maple gripped Ellyn’s both shoulders and pulled her over to stare so wide-eyed at her from way too close a range.
‘If we go to Mt. Chill and get a team of Ice-types, both Freecape Town and Raremine Town will fall before us! Come, we must go!’ Maple was half-way standing up to leave her half-eaten meal to go directly running to the mountain by Erika’s hometown, but Ellyn firmly pushed her back into her seat.
‘Yeah, not now. Let’s not be unpleasant to our host and actually finish the conversation, first,’ Ellyn commented.
‘Such speed! I am in awe of this dazzling energy extruding constantly from lady Maple!’ Joshua chuckled a bit while feeding his new Eevee some treats from the dinner he ordered. Eevee looked pretty happy.
‘It does seem we, too, are missing some badges in comparison,’ Ewan said. ‘We are missing a couple on the Southern Landmass. Redcoast, Highhill, Freecape and Raremine…’ he surmised.
‘Ah, but we cannot let this only be about the badges we want to collect! This journey of ours must be adventurous, not methodical! We are not heading from badge to badge, we’re journeying for experiences and sights! With that in mind, I’d also like to look around Worldedge City some more! Also, the nearby Power Station interests me, and Erika has made me curious about Bigfjord City as well!’ Joshua said.
‘But you wanted to become a Coordinator as well, right? If so, you need to head to Redcoast City to the Pokémon Contest Hall there to take the first step, don’t you? Might as well, seeing how we have a badge to collect there…’ Ewan said, giving a little smile to his companion.
‘All in due time, my friend!’ Joshua smiled happily. ‘It’s true I wish nothing less than to get there one day, but the road there need not be straight! I value Erika’s opinion as well and wouldn’t mind heading with her some more!’ And that’s about that.
‘…’ Unless spoken to, Elana didn’t say much. She just looked at the rest while drinking some drink through a straw. She’d quite noticeably gone for the cheapest options at the restaurant, as well.
The meal came down to 2,400 P, roughly 400 per person. 6 people. Erika, Joshua, Ewan, Maple, Ellyn and Elana.

Worldedge City
A rush of energy flows with the wind that breezes through the alleys of the city. Somehow, you feel lighter, like some strange weight has been taken from your shoulders. Looking up, tall, massive structures, structures seeming to defy gravity and common sense grow, stretching high into the sky and far down across the cliffs. The people look calm, focused on their duties and sprawling in their number, holding a vital position in all the businesses of Isson. The design of the streets are narrow, illogical and unstructured, and feel like they would be easy to get lost in, yet it is as if you’re being guided by fate’s hand and you’ll arrive where you were intending to go. In the distance, always watching, the peaks of a distant mountain rise. You are now in Worldedge City.
Isson’s largest city. It grew into place on both sides of Mt. Edge as efforts were made to dig through the mountain and join the northern and southern landmasses, it was known as two different towns until the use of Abras as public transportation method within the city was widely adopted and the city grew to become known as one single entity. Widely accepted is the idea that a mystical energy of some form within Mt. Edge surges around the buildings, calling Psychic Pokémon towards the mountain and therefore the city. People living here have an easier time feeling at ease with the world, and the laws of gravity don't apply as they maybe should to the buildings around here. From this would Isson’s most successful city grow to be, at the place where two or more worlds connect. So was Worldedge City named.
It should be noted that being called a “Worldedge Resident” has some negative stigma attached to it. If you are one, you’re interpreted as a lazy individual who has it easier than the rest of the world, happiness coming naturally to you and you probably see yourself as superior to the rest of Isson, and you might not be entirely sane or yourself due to constant exposure to the energies of Mt. Edge. Of course, this is a stereotype that most people recognize and can see past, but there is no smoke without fire, so to say. There those who are very distrustful of the energies of Mt. Edge and would rather never subject themselves to it. These particular dislikes compounded and grew strong enough in some people that the Crossing was created just south of Worldedge City just so those individuals could get past without entering the city.
The city is comprised of six different districts. Three districts on each side of Mt. Edge, stapled on top of one another by the way of leaning on the cliff sides and mountain as well as giant pillars, taking advantage of the strange physics around Mt. Edge. Exits out of the city are on the middle districts of each side. Each district has their own Pokémon Center and Pokémart, but otherwise have their own unique features.
The following applies regardless of where in Worldedge City you are.
Connected areas: Route 10. South of Worldedge. A farmland employing multiple psychic Pokémon from Mt. Edge to help with the crops. Route 13. West of Worldedge. A slightly disturbed route, which attracts electric Pokémon due to the proximity of the power plant. Mt. Edge. The mystical mountain at the heart of Worldedge’s unnatural existence. Few people actually cross its fabled tunnels, most just teleport past. Route 18. East of Worldedge. A calm stretch of land going from Worldedge to Witchpeak, part of the Allmass Cycling Circuit.
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in cities~ 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the city to any of the connected areas. 350P if you need to Abra to the other side of Mt. Edge for it. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Places. Fly you to any settlement you’ve already been for 500P! 6.4. Any of the notable places unique to the various districts. 7. Abra Teleport. 350P, and an Abra will teleport you to the other side of Mt. Edge. 8: Worldedge City Trades: Psychic-type 8.1. ‘I asked for something colorful, but Zachery gave me this horrible fish! Please, give me a Flabébé instead.’ 8.2. ‘This is Indeedee. I’d like an Aron. Can you trade me an Aron for my Indeedee?’ 8.3. ‘It was so cute, but then I looked up what it becomes upon evolution. Yikes. Trade me a Petilil for this Flittle?’

Entertainment District
In the depths of Northern Worldedge City, common sense goes out the window. Given all the buildings on top, few actual lights come down here even during the day, but all the blazing lights in this unnatural city-scape more than make up for it. Plenty of the skyscrapers holding up the Commercial District above have some form of advertisement, and each open door opens a new possible way to spend money in these depths of entertainment, probably with some form of Pokémon logo. Down here lies the most famous and populated Game Corner on Isson, where thousands of P are being wasted every day, and houses for unofficial Contests or Battles for money and prices are sanctioned and bet upon for the enjoyment of viewers and participants. It truly feels like if one never got bored, one would probably never run out of things to do down here… assuming the wallet didn’t run dry, that is.
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Game Corner. Only play with as much you’re willing to spend! 2. Countless restaurants, stores, cinemas, show-houses, amusement-parks, whatevs. You can waste the rest of your money here, on whatever you want! 3. PokéMania! Do battle for the enjoyment of the viewers, and have sudden strange rules applied to every battle! Fancy prices~ 4. Contest Clarity. Forget all ranks, here we do contests for the show, and the show alone! Oh, and for cash prices~ 5. Deep Dark Depths of Worldedge. This city feels like it goes on forever! How far does it go…?
Residential District
On the absolute top of the northern districts, you’ll find the place in Worldedge City with the freshest air. While the building architecture still might require a raised eyebrow, the atmosphere is healthy and playful, many families making their life here on top of the Commercial and Entertainment districts, where they work. Schools and little parks for children to learn the ways of Pokémon exist, and there is nothing saying those older cannot use them too. The Little Cup stadium is here, allowing the children to watch and perhaps participate without straying too far from home. Yet, among these buildings live a few of the most noteworthy individuals in Isson. Like the rumored and powerful Crone, who has to be battled by a strong trainer every once in a while or she will stir up trouble, or like the empty mansion that supposedly belongs to the Champion…
Notable Places:
1. Practice Park. A little park in the residential district where children can catch low-level Pokémon and train for the real thing. 2. Pokémon Day Care. For people to leave their Pokémon while they’re doing something else. Some people don’t like PCs, so~ 3. Little Cup. A small stadium for battling. Levels 15 and lower, only. 4. Champion Estate. The Champion supposedly lives in this mansion here. It looks abandoned. 5. Creator’s Apartment. You instinctively know where this place is somehow, despite nothing advertising it. It’s visually an ordinary apartment. The door is open. 6. House of the Crone. Signs say “We appreciate people challenging her to keep her from being bored, but only if you are confident in your strength.”
Commercial District
Squeezed in-between the Residential District and the Entertainment District lies the Commercial District. It’s a long, winding corridor of tight buildings with many bridges and storefronts, and it all leads up to the Worldedge Department Store, the biggest Pokémart in Isson. If you somehow cannot find what you’re looking for there, then you’re probably all out of luck. It isn’t all there is here, however. Among the corridors is the House of Trades, where people can sit at computers and request trades with all other people that have ever been there, as well as the Psychic Train that uses certain teleporting abilities to achieve transportation to a distant town. Or, if those don’t reach where you want, you can just call a Freecape Ferryman and s/he’ll fly you there, assuming you have the cash. Also here, lies the store where the infamous inventor Russel sells his products. Perhaps, if you’re lucky, the fool’s things actually work for you? No guarantees, though!
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Department Store. Products from all over Isson gather, right here. The largest store of Isson. 2. Worldedge Trade Station. A place where people can come trade Pokémon and items with people from all over! 3. Pokémon Groomer. For a price, you can have some professionals treat your Pokémon like royalty~! 4. Psychic Train. Runs along spiritual tracks to lead somewhere else in the world. The trips are one-way only. 4.1. Justroad City/Gentlevale City/Witchpeak City. 500P 4.2. Bigfjord City/Freecape Town/Raremine Town. 1000P 4.3. Redcoast City/Rainrock City/Pureplain City. 2000P 5. Freecape Ferrymen Phone. A phone linked to call a Freecape Ferryman, who can Fly you somewhere in the world for a considerable price. 6. Food Stands. Hot dogs to ice creams. Pretty good. 7. Inventor Russel’s Store. Russel, crazy inventor. Who knows what he might have for sale? He’s also known to give random stuff or quests to trainers passing by, giving them cash as incentive.
To reach the Southern Districts, you’ll need an Abra to teleport you or walk through the tunnels of Mt. Edge. Costs 350P.
Information District
No, they’re not exclusively witches around here.
A common and calm area of Worldedge City, this district attracts those who would fancy themselves scholars. They may seek to share their knowledge at the multiple cafés spread about, read up at the library, check into the museum or any number of things. There aren’t that many things here that would keep a Pokémon Trainer dawdling around for long, and most residents here are fine with that. It is still quite the spectacle, walking on the bridges between these pointy buildings, finding the streets and wondering how you're not lost yet in this maze of stairs and bridges, never touching the ground. Far above lies the Mystical District and there are plenty of stairs up, and down below is the Industrial District… It may feel a bit enclosed. Most notable in this area is most certainly the famous Professor Dunstan’s lab and residence, which he mostly leaves to his companions as he spends a lot of his time in the other lab in Raremine Town as well.
Notable Places:
1. Guide Booth. Because finding your way in Worldedge City can be a challenge! 2. Gossiping Cafés. If you want to hear the useful kind of gossip, sit in among the intellectuals. Ask and you may be surprised at how much you can learn! 3. Sir Know-Em-All. A famed Psychic. If you can think of a person, Sir Know-Em-All can tell you where to go to meet them! 4. Professor Dunstan’s Lab. A legendary researcher of Legendary Pokémon, do you have reason to seek his counsel? 5. World Library. With the backing of Professor Dunstan himself, this library has all the information you could possibly seek… probably. 6. Isson Museum. Don’t feel like travelling to all the corners of the world? Don’t need to, the museum has gathered up the noteworthy things from all its corners! 7. Move Tutor Mansion. A gathering-spot for those talented in teaching Pokémon moves they wouldn’t normally learn.
Industrial District
There is no way this place can have screwed-up gravity and emotional influence without companies trying to use it for their own gains. The factories of Worldedge City are far below the Information District, down at water-level, where at the base of Mt. Edge countless machines tumble and toll for the continued success of man- and Pokémon-kind. Being below two other districts the Industrial District is naturally dark, even during the day, but countless lights shine it up and the workers do not mind one bit. They have their own marketplaces, their own little residences and they certainly earn enough to make their own lives when it comes to that. But, among the factories and warehouses are those that stand empty, and one might have to wonder what’s actually inside them sometimes.
Notable Places:
1. Factories. Produces everything from Pokédolls to furniture, and who-the-heck-knows. 2. Abandoned Factories. Produces everything from Grimers to street thugs, and who-the-heck-knows. 3. Warehouses. Storing items from factories, some more well-used than others. Some opens by keycards. 4. Request Center. A certain camp of individuals that can take your requests for Pokémon or items you want, and they might come back and provide them for you. Sounds easy, right? 5. Sketchy Entrances. … The heck are you doing down here? They hid these things down here for a REASON, normal people wouldn’t normally ever need to see them! 6. ???. Trigger a “random” event. Not sure why you’d be walking down here, but.
Mystical District
The tip and top of Southern Worldedge City, here the power the mountain provides is enough for certain buildings to float in mid-air. Assisted by Psychic-Pokémon, the upper echelons of the city contains a significant price-tag for those who’d wish to live here and so filters the more common men to the levels below, yet there are activities that draw trainers up from the depths. First and foremost is the Pokémon Gym, floating above their heads, and also the Worldedge Floating Stadium, the largest and most amazing of the multiple stadiums in Worldedge City, where the most epic of battles in the city are fought and watched. Truly, these streets so high above the rest leave a certain impression as one walks here.
Notable Places:
1. Pokémon Gym. Worldedge City Gym. It’s one of those towers floating in mid-air… You need to fly to get there. 2. Worldedge Floating Stadium. Worldedge’s biggest stadium, floating over the city. Have Minor (level 25-minus), Middle (level 25-50) and Major (level 50-plus) cups. 3. The Villas of the Rich. Not that there’s much you could potentially do with them, but they’re here. 4. Orlando’s Spiritual Dojo. A dojo focused on discovering one’s spiritual self. Often takes trips into Mt. Edge. You can join an expedition for protection, or challenge them! 5. Marilyn’s Divination. Tell her where you’re going next, and she can divine your luck and what to look out for when there! 6. Gym Leader’s Home. … So, those who can’t get to the Gym themselves are sometimes known to wait for the leader here. It’s a little frowned upon.
They decided to look for rare Pokémon and pirates!
Looking among the rocks of this beach resulted in finding a lot more crabs. Skylar might want to be careful, because quite a few of the crabs are quite pinchy and seek to attack, and the Claunchers commonly seek to take pot-shots at travelers and their Pokémon using the water-pistols in their claws!
Regardless, a while of picking up rocks and seeking Pokémon did eventually turn up results, as a rare yellow creature in a red shell looked back at Skylar in confusion.
Pokédex Entry #213 – Shuckle, the Mold Pokémon. It stores berries inside its shell. It is naturally shy and typically hide under rocks, keeping its body concealed inside its exceedingly hard shell while eating stored berries. The berries mix with its body fluids to become a delicious juice that it secretes through various holes.
There was something else, though, spotted only because of Seabreeze and his Keen Eye, there was a shelled creature swimming underwater inspecting them from a distance. And there, it poked its small blue head up from the water, looking at them probably wondering what’s up.
Pokédex Entry #7 – Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokémon. The shell is soft when it is born, then hardens over time. If threatened, it retracts into its shell and then blasts out water at any opportunity. The shell has curious properties; it has bouncy properties so attacks bounce off it and water also slides off it, minimizing resistance and granting a fast swim-speed.
Further down the beach, they suddenly came across an odd sight. A giant ship anchored to the beach, looking very old-fashioned in its design, and flying a crossbone flag… hold on. It’s the pirates!
Out on the beach stood a couple individuals, clearly having left the ship behind. At the front stood the captain, holding up a Shuckle with his one hand.
‘To treasure, or not to treasure, that is the question…’
And then he slammed his foot down on the rock in front of him and grinned forward with eagerness.
‘The answer is OF COURSE and we’re gonna find every treasure swept ashore by the seas! Get to it, men!’
‘Yes, captain!’ ‘Yes, captain!’
With that, his crew members kept pulling rocks and seeking underneath them, combing the beach starting close to their ship.
Pokédex Entry #614 – Beartic, the Freezing Pokémon. They love the cold seas of the north. It creates pathways across the ocean waters by freezing their own breath, and swims around northern seas to catch prey. It creates fangs and claws of ice using its breath to fight with, and are very capable swimmers.
So that’s going on over there, if Skylar wanted to approach them.

This is with the assumption this letter reached your hands within a reasonable amount of time. I simply threw it out the window of the Eerie Lighthouse. If it is too late, and he is not at Stalford’s Ferry, then unfortunately, I must ask you not to come look for me lest you also be locked within the walls of this lighthouse for the rest of your days.

Stone Shore
Located to the west-west-south of Raremine Town, it is one of the least known locations of Isson (and may have come to exist due to a misunderstanding). Right south of Route 6, below the cliffs, this rocky shore is relatively featureless, but it is the absolutely best way to witness the ocean south of Isson. You could stand here forever, listening to the crashing waves coming against the cliffs, and the residents of Raremine Town tend to come here when they feel like dipping into the blue. Seeing how the alternative would have been the haunted waters of Route 16, perhaps not too surprising.
Besides, there’s something more to it. They’re called the Stone Shore for a reason. The crashing waves of the southern oceans tend to carry with them things from the big blue, and they’re free to pick for whoever walks the shore. It’s something of a secret kept among the Raremine Town residents, that you can get some things of value if scourers the sands and rocks of Stone Shore. You might want to watch their fingers, however, because something else that tends to be carried from the ocean are crabs. There’s a bunch of bitey-pinchey Pokémon peeking out between the various rocks on the beach!

Eryn decided to throw a Pokéball after just precisely thawing the Pokémon out of the ice. Good thing, too, because the Voltorb was about to charge a Thunder Shock from its sudden revival into a new world. The ball was hit by the similarly-sized ball and absorbed into it, and the Pokéball then fell down to the floor of the mine.
It rolled once.

And that was pretty much what Eryn was doing for this post. What will she do now?
Frozen Cave, Mines
Less than a cave, it feels like you’ve entered the bottom of a great ravine of ice. Long corridors with cliff-like walls stretch on, moving far along the western Mt. Chill mountain range. A cold wind almost constantly blows through the cavern, and looking for the source of these winds will reveal that far above are occasional holes in the cave ceiling which are letting in sunlight from above, and the light from there bounces on all the ice and brightens the entire cave in mystical light. This alone is a spectacle to witness.
However, perhaps the most curious detail is the fact these are, in fact, mines. Workers make their housing in tents, igloos and even properly constructed houses high in the mines. Human-made stairs, ladders and bridges spread across certain walls of the caverns where humans and Pokémon work to uncover the secrets frozen into the walls of the cave. For the most curious of both Pokémon and items are frozen into these walls, and these miners make a profit chopping them out. Perhaps you could join in, see what you might find?
1. Find Pokémon. Note, there are more Pokémon in the tunnels than here. Unless you’re specifically searching the ice? 2. Talk. This is basically a small settlement. They probably know a bit about mining in ice! 3. Move along. Either out of the cave, or deeper into it. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Buildings. Not many, but there’s a small base here! 6.1. Miner’s Base. For maps, getting info or tools and learning how to mine! 6.2. Miner’s Shop. Skip all the hard work of actually mining and buy what the miners are selling! Varies every day! 6.3. Comfy Igloo. If you just want to rest, have a chat, relax, restore health. 7. Area Specific: Mining. People here mine the ice for items and Pokémon caught in the ice. You could too!
Connected areas: Route 5. Exit the mines and you’ll be right there. Frozen Cave. The Frozen Cave proper awaits beyond the mine.
It would absolutely be possible to purchase such things in order to prepare for some spelunking. A flashlight and/or lantern would absolutely be available, along with some cute little waterproof clothes suitable to delving into Wet Caverns with if she wanted them. They’re right next to the cave, after all. The Escape Rope is 550P, which turned out to be more expensive than the rest of Amelia’s preparations that came out to 400P in total. So that’s 950P total.
With that done, there was nothing else to it but to head back to the Wet Caverns, was there?
A short trip back west would reveal to her a hole in the mountain leading to…
Wet Caverns
The Wet Caverns, known so for the sheer amount of water drenching the contents. It’s a large series of tunnels with no real large open rooms, dividing itself up into a fairly simple maze going from one side to the other. The water inside the tunnels thankfully lit up the contents due to some shining mineral in the liquid, giving rise to a mildly lit set of tunnels. Many people prefer not to travel through the Wet Caverns due to them being long and easy to get lost in, in addition to the large amounts of hostile Pokémon which might attack at any time. Yet, here you are…
Still. There are those who travel through it on a regular basis. Those who have learned the trick finds it a fairly easy shortcut between Lakewatch Town and Pureplain City. For enthusiasts there are always the options of delving deeper into the caverns, fishing or surfing to find out what kind of Pokémon might inhabit the depths and the shallow rivers that flow along the underground corridors. It is known to be fairly diverse when it comes to the Pokémon inhabiting it, giving trainers both water- and cave Pokémon to pick from when they want to catch something.
The first thing that would meet her was going to be a pool of water she’d have to wade through, with a couple Goldeens in the water there with her. Besides that, she’d have to be prepared for that the air would soon be filled with a substantial amount of Zubats that wanted nothing less than to pester her. Maybe get some blood. Maybe.
Pokédex Entry #41 – Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. It lives in colonies in dark places. It has no eyes, but when flying it is constantly emitting ultrasonic sounds which it uses to navigate through echolocation. As sunlight burns it, it’s usually only found in caves or at night.
Pokédex Entry #118 – Goldeen, the Goldfish Pokémon. With its fins flowing elegantly in the water like an underwater dress, it has been called the Water Queen. However, take heed, as it’s known to ram its powerful horn into things in its way. It swims up rivers in schools when the weather grows warm.
But that aside, she would know the way back to the dark area. The question is, would she go about her search in any specific way?

‘Very well. Come with me,’ Lesley said, and walked. She led her to outside the Pokémon Center, where random people were walking by and a few of them waving at her. Clearly, she was a pretty beloved individual here. The Gym Leader took a sharp breath… and then took a hand in her mouth and whistled. A sharp and loud whistle, which sounded like it carried across the town and past it, meant for a single pair of ears. Lesley breathed in again and smiled back at Basil.
‘You might want to brace yourself,’ she said, and numerous citizens nearby were keeping stepping away, ducking away from where the Gym Leader was standing, definitely knowing what would happen next.
There. A flash in the sky, red and blue in color. Rapidly growing in size, as it was approaching at a violent speed. That’s when Lesley just grabbed around Basil with a single really strong arm and leapt into the air with him, and a dragon swept in underneath them. Lesley caught onto the dragon and placed Basil down behind her just as they accelerated up into the air, and Basil was clearly expected to hold on.
He was now on top of a Salamence.
Pokédex Entry #373 – Salamence, the Dragon Pokémon. Bagon’s dream of flying finally comes true, and it celebrates by flying all over and sometimes spouting flames at random. While associated with the joy of flying, if enraged Salamence is known to go uncontrollably berserk, rampaging and scorching all in its way.
‘Are ya hanging on?’ Lesley asked with a smirk as they soared up above water, heading straight over the lake. From here, they could see the various routes on the west and east of the lake, the mighty Mt. Strength in the north and the gigantic frozen spire that was Mt. Chill in the east, the forest that contained Stillwood Village in the north-east and the massive rain-clouds over Route 3 and Northern Silent Forest to the north-west… but their destination was a couple islands in the north-west of the lake. They didn’t go very high over the waters, but there just wasn’t a lot to block the view as they soared across Route 14 at tremendous speed.
Then, finally, they were approaching a couple very pointy islands…
Dragon Lake
While the whole lake is commonly referred to as “Dragon Lake”, it is mostly just the numerous islands to the north-west of the lake that are the true dragon habitats, the rest is commonly referred to as Route 14. These islands are spiky, tall cliffs standing like daggers out of the waters of the lake, with numerous caverns within which the dragons make their nests. In the waters as well, numerous aquatic dragons swim about, enjoying their time. It is unclear why exactly this became the hunting grounds of the dragons, but they happily feast on the various fish that live in the waters of the island and sometimes fly to the nearby routes to find their prey.
Of course, lately there have been far fewer dragons. Poachers of Team Amethyst caught so many dragons for their value being sold to the highest bidders, leading to a sharp dip in their wild populations. Hence why, at any point of time, there’s now Lake Watchers standing and floating as guards around the island, in various little ships looking out with their Pokémon. It is also common to see them on the island, counting dragons and helping fend off any would-be invader with great force. Suffice to say, it’s become very difficult to capture a dragon from here unnoticed. A common sight here is the Gym Leader of Lakewatch Town herself playing with the dragons, and also counting them one by one to see if any are missing…
Of course, Basil wasn’t coming here in a normal way. In fact, as they were passing over an island and Salamence had slowed down a substantial amount, Lesley grabbed onto him again, and then just shifted her weight to fall off the dragon mid-passage. Now, since Lesley was holding onto him, Basil probably fell off along with her. No worries though, because the armored woman planted her feet into the ground and slid numerous meters while holding Basil carefully above the ground as she slid to halt. Oh, and her arrival had stirred some of the locals.
A couple Bagons cried out for her and immediately started dashing over. A Dratini or two came to the surface to make happy sounds towards Lesley. A Deino called out from a nearby cave that went right into the spire. A Druddigon called out and soared down right next to them, landing several feet away and looking happily at Lesley.
‘Yeah, there, there,’ Lesley let Basil off and gave him a gentle but determined push away as she went to pat the Druddigon and then smirked at the Bagons coming for her. She pulled out her helmet again. And a small bag marked “dragon treats”. ‘Right, I’ll be occupied for a bit, but don’t you forget; there’s always eyes on you,’ Lesley said, frowning briefly at Basil, but then turning back to the dragons that were way more into Lesley than him.
Indeed, Lesley appeared to be correct. While the dragons were celebrating Lesley’s arrival, there were the occasional Lake Watchers. One on the beach over there, one on the ship floating in the water over there, one on top of the cliff staring down. Their gazes were utterly fixed on Basil, and Lesley hadn’t briefed them on anything, so to them he was simply an outsider. An outsider that came with Lesley, sure, but.
Anyway. There were a couple options for dragons here.
Most numerous were the Bagons either running for Lesley or running up the spiky cliffs to then throw themselves off them.
Pokédex Entry #371 – Bagon, the Rock Head Pokémon. It constantly dreams of being able to fly and hurls itself off cliffs to practice. Its head and body is extremely tough, allowing it to survive this. It’s a big bundle of muscles, and its headbutts can shatter rocks. It’s known to headbutt mercilessly to relieve stress.
There were some snakey Dratinis in the water.
Pokédex Entry #147 – Dratini, the Dragon Pokémon. Once called the “Mirage Pokémon” as it was so rare it was considered mythical, albeit they have grown more common since. They are born large, six feet/two meters in length, and each time it sheds it grows even longer. They live underwater, and are often found by rapidly flowing water.
There’s totally some currents that Dratini likes around here underwater. Then there was the Deino over there by the cave entrance.
Pokédex Entry #633 – Deino, the Irate Pokémon. Usually found nesting deep in a cave. Deinos cannot see, and their first instinct upon encountering anything is biting and eating it. Approaching them carelessly is dangerous. It is said a trainer will be covered in wounds before a Deino has warmed up to them enough to not automatically bite.
And the Druddigon, that probably also came from the cave.
Pokédex Entry #621 – Druddigon, the Cave Pokémon. It keeps its body warm by absorbing the light of the sun, without which it grows cold and cannot move. It relies on speed and sharp claws to hunt down its prey in narrow caves, before it returns outside to be heated by the sun. The red on its face is harder than rock.

After that, Skylar decided to head off. Did he see a sign? Did he overhear someone talking about it? Either way, he suddenly found himself heading directly west. From Raremine Town there was a desire path leading off from the main road, leading towards the southern ocean. A stone stair led down the cliff, and from there there was a view of a vast ocean and a sandy beach with a bunch of rocks sticking out of it…

Pokédex Entry #98 – Krabby, the River Krab Pokémon. It lives on beaches burrowed inside holes it dug into the sand, both by fresh and salt-water. The pincers serve both for balance and as weapons. If one breaks, it grows back quickly. When there’s little food to go around, Krabbys can be seen squabbling for territory on the beaches.
Pokédex Entry #341 – Corphish, the Ruffian Pokémon. A foreign Pokémon that came from overseas, to all regions, there is no region to which it didn’t come from overseas. It’s able to survive in water no matter how polluted, and can eat practically anything without likes or dislikes. It has tough pincers that are said to never let go, no matter what.
Pokédex Entry #688 – Binacle, the Two-Handed Pokémon. Two Binacles always live together on the same rock. They move stretching and then contracting, yanking their rocks along. They eat seaweed washed up on shorelines. If the two of them fight, one of them will move to a different rock. Despite this, partner-less Binacles are exceptionally rare.

Training his Pokémon a bit, against the various crabs that are here. During training he’d find his Pokémon to be suddenly randomly shot at from various corners. There are Claunchers hiding among the rocks!
Pokédex Entry #692 – Clauncher, the Water Gun Pokémon. Its massive claw is a water-pistol firing compressed water using controlled expulsions of internal gasses. The shots it fires can shatter rock at close distances, it uses this to shoot down flying prey. It is known to use this expulsion to travel fast, jetting water out behind it to accelerate.
So, training here, most the things he’s facing are Water Gun, Bubble and Vice Grip. Do beware the fact the Binacles know Shell Smash on level 1, combined with Slash and Water Gun.
With other words, Mac and Pretzl might find it difficult to train here, and the Claunchers sure did like trying to shoot Jeebs out of the sky, but that did mean it was a location for some alertness training if nothing else. That said, the Pokémon here aren’t that much stronger than where he was just previously. Paradise had a great time here.
Seabreeze grew to level 24! Paradise grew to level 24! Mac grew to level 21! Pretzlcoatl grew to level 21! Pretzlcoatl learned Agility! Forge grew to level 22! Bejeebs grew to level 22! Bejeebs learned Supersonic!
‘Sounds like you’ve had fun! Good!’ Maple seemed satisfied hearing everyone had a good time traveling.
So, they came out to Route 12, and Erika turned around to address Elana. Elana stood and merely stared as Erika fumbled with her words, the guide putting her hands in her pockets and grabbed a sweet from her pocket to unwrap and stuff in her mouth.
‘My Pokémon all fainted in that battle before. I’m not getting anywhere until we get to a Pokémon Center, so I may as well come with you for now,’ she said, shrugging somewhat. ‘Food doesn’t sound half-bad, either. But after that I must be heading back, I have a job in Lakewatch Town, after all. Unless you hire me again, I suppose,’ she continued, ready to then start wandering on.
With that, they wandered on through Route 12, with all its tall cliffs and friendly plains of grass.
They were walking along Route 12… when Joshua suddenly froze.
‘What’s wrong?’ Ewan asked, frowning a little as he stopped by his suddenly unmoving companion.
‘I detect…’ Joshua said, his eyes suddenly gleaming, raising his neck to sniff at the air. ‘Friend?’ he asked… then his head turned with blazing speed to stare directly left. ‘Friend!’
If you were to follow his gaze, you’d find there was a tiny fox-like creature that was just idly wandering by in the nearby grass.
Pokédex Entry #133 – Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. It’s a very rare Pokémon known to have a very unstable genetic makeup. Depending on where it lives, it is known to use evolution into different forms as means to survive harsher climates. It has eight currently known evolutions.
… And then Joshua took off, flailing his arms wildly and exaggeratedly as he dashed directly for the little creature. The Eevee, seemingly detecting something was wrong, turned to look towards them and then screamed in abject terror at the rapidly approaching unidentified large person. As Eevee screamed, Joshua jumped into the air in a diving motion and the most excited expression imaginable.
‘FRIIIIIEEEEND….!’
As Joshua fell down on the screaming Eevee a smoke-cloud of conflict arose, along with the sounds of numerous hard hits. At times Eevee almost jumped out but Joshua’s arms came out of the smoke-cloud to drag the little creature back into the smoke.
Eventually, the smoke settled…
Revealing a moderately beat-up looking Joshua smiling happily with at least one tooth missing as he was gently patting the suddenly very happy Eevee who was at present eating some Pokémon candy out of his hand.
‘Friend!’ Joshua called happily with satisfied finality, and Ewan couldn’t help but just sigh a little at the scene that had just presented itself.
They wandered on, eventually arriving to a new route.

Route 13 is the route between Worldedge City and Bigfjord City, it is known as the route on which it is always night. Why, exactly, is it always night? The reason escapes proper explanation, but it is as if the very energy of the sun is being sucked away when it enters this area. Instead there are dark clouds, which all habitually strike at the Power Station located in the north-east of the route. The result is that this grassy plain of otherwise unremarkable characteristics is masked by a constant shroud of darkness that is never going away, and it is charged with the electricity of the many wind turbines spread across the route as well as the Power Station itself. Many man-made machines lie around this route, powered by electricity, and there’s also many hiding places should you want to hide.
The route has numerous darkness-dwelling birds, Hoothoot and Murkrow being the most common. There’s also Bunnelbys and Meowths, stalking around. However, inspired by the electricity around, some electric Pokémon have been drawn to these plains, even during the night, like Electrike and Shinx. As mentioned, the Power Station lies mildly ominously to the north-east, lightning strikes blasting it through the darkness with unnerving frequency, but in the south on a cliff lifted by the beginning of Mt. Strength also carries the Private Palace, owned by perhaps the richest man in Isson. It is said he has Pokémon in his garden that he allows people to catch if they were to go there.
Because it’s dark here all the time, it’s a surprisingly popular camping-spot as well as a place to look at the stars. They say those who sleep here have very pleasant dreams.
Pokédex Entry #163 – Hoothoot, the Owl Pokémon. It always stands on one leg, and changes leg so fast it’s rarely seen. It’s big, red eyes see clearly in the dark. They have an internal organ that keeps track of the planet’s rotation, allowing them to perfectly tell time. By giving them instructions, people have long been using them as alarm clocks before clocks existed.
Pokédex Entry #198 – Murkrow, the Darkness Pokémon. Commonly found near forests when it’s dark, they’re feared as alleged bearer of ill fortune upon those who see it. If spotted, it will attempt to lure the chaser onto mountain trials or forests where they’d get lost. It shows strong interest in anything that sparkles, and will attempt stealing it.
Pokédex Entry #52 – Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokémon. During the night Meowth are known to sneak around stealthily in search of prey and shiny objects which it adores with a passion. During the day, Meowth is known to laze around all day. In the dark, its eyes glow.
Pokédex Entry #659 – Bunnelby, the Digging Pokémon. Its ears are solid and serve as shovels which it uses to dig large burrows in which it lives. It is mainly nocturnal, and will dig throughout the night. Over the years the ears become stronger, and it becomes able to sever thick roots easily.
Pokédex Entry #309 – Electrike, the Lightning Pokémon. It runs faster than the human eye can follow. When running, the friction is converted into electricity, which is then stored in its fur. This electricity stimulates its muscles and can also be unleashed in violent discharges. It gives off sparks when a storm is approaching.
Pokédex Entry #403 – Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. When its muscles extend or contract, it generates electricity. When it senses danger, a Shinx will let the electricity run through it, causing it to glow. If threatened, it uses its muscles to flash a bright light to blind the predator while it flees.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. Seek out trainers and battle them. 4. Talk. See if they can answer whatever questions you want answered. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Go Camping. Where would be a better place to sleep than the place where it’s always night? Well, according to popular consensus, anyway.
Connected areas: Route 12. To the west stretches a long patch of gentle grassland and tall cliffs. Route 10. To the east, past Worldedge City, are the farmlands where Psychic Pokémon do the farming. Power Station. The source of Isson’s electricity stands to the north of Route 13. Private Palace. To the south of Route 13 stands the home of the richest man in Isson. Care to visit? Bigfjord City. To the north-west, the gigantic city known for its dark sky-scrapers rises tall. Worldedge City. The mystical capital of Isson hangs in the air around Mt. Edge.
‘THAT ONE! I WANT THAT ONE!’ Maple suddenly shouted out, throwing out a Pokéball and her Flareon jumped out at the Electrike that she was targeting. A battle of Embers and Spark attacks started lighting up the darkness as the two Pokémon went at it…
‘… Huh? She wants… an Electrike?’ Ewan asked, sounding quite surprised.
‘Yes, what of it?’ Ellyn asked.
‘… But… it’s not a Fire-type?’ Ewan asked. As Maple threw numerous Pokéballs at the electric dog, Ellyn sighed.
‘Maple catches whatever she likes. There just happens to be a large overlap between Fire-types and Pokémon she likes…’ Ellyn replied, just as the ball in the background said “click” and Maple jumped with joy.
Well, that aside! They were able to keep walking. As they did, the mountain known as Mt. Edge grew out of the horizon before them, and along with it came a city. A city built around the mountain, using its mystical energy. The city stretched upwards as if seeking the peak of the mountain, yet also downwards, as you were approaching a cliff with serious altitude. There were buildings on top of buildings, and it really looked like the whole thing should collapse… yet it did not.
Nothing else to it but to enter, eh?
Worldedge City
A rush of energy flows with the wind that breezes through the alleys of the city. Somehow, you feel lighter, like some strange weight has been taken from your shoulders. Looking up, tall, massive structures, structures seeming to defy gravity and common sense grow, stretching high into the sky and far down across the cliffs. The people look calm, focused on their duties and sprawling in their number, holding a vital position in all the businesses of Isson. The design of the streets are narrow, illogical and unstructured, and feel like they would be easy to get lost in, yet it is as if you’re being guided by fate’s hand and you’ll arrive where you were intending to go. In the distance, always watching, the peaks of a distant mountain rise. You are now in Worldedge City.
Isson’s largest city. It grew into place on both sides of Mt. Edge as efforts were made to dig through the mountain and join the northern and southern landmasses, it was known as two different towns until the use of Abras as public transportation method within the city was widely adopted and the city grew to become known as one single entity. Widely accepted is the idea that a mystical energy of some form within Mt. Edge surges around the buildings, calling Psychic Pokémon towards the mountain and therefore the city. People living here have an easier time feeling at ease with the world, and the laws of gravity don't apply as they maybe should to the buildings around here. From this would Isson’s most successful city grow to be, at the place where two or more worlds connect. So was Worldedge City named.
It should be noted that being called a “Worldedge Resident” has some negative stigma attached to it. If you are one, you’re interpreted as a lazy individual who has it easier than the rest of the world, happiness coming naturally to you and you probably see yourself as superior to the rest of Isson, and you might not be entirely sane or yourself due to constant exposure to the energies of Mt. Edge. Of course, this is a stereotype that most people recognize and can see past, but there is no smoke without fire, so to say. There those who are very distrustful of the energies of Mt. Edge and would rather never subject themselves to it. These particular dislikes compounded and grew strong enough in some people that the Crossing was created just south of Worldedge City just so those individuals could get past without entering the city.
The city is comprised of six different districts. Three districts on each side of Mt. Edge, stapled on top of one another by the way of leaning on the cliff sides and mountain as well as giant pillars, taking advantage of the strange physics around Mt. Edge. Exits out of the city are on the middle districts of each side. Each district has their own Pokémon Center and Pokémart, but otherwise have their own unique features.
The following applies regardless of where in Worldedge City you are.
Connected areas: Route 10. South of Worldedge. A farmland employing multiple psychic Pokémon from Mt. Edge to help with the crops. Route 13. West of Worldedge. A slightly disturbed route, which attracts electric Pokémon due to the proximity of the power plant. Mt. Edge. The mystical mountain at the heart of Worldedge’s unnatural existence. Few people actually cross its fabled tunnels, most just teleport past. Route 18. East of Worldedge. A calm stretch of land going from Worldedge to Witchpeak, part of the Allmass Cycling Circuit.
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in cities~ 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the city to any of the connected areas. 350P if you need to Abra to the other side of Mt. Edge for it. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Places. Visit any of the places in the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Freecape Ferrymen Office. Fly you to any settlement you’ve already been for 500P! 6.4. Any of the notable places unique to the various districts. 7. Abra Teleport. 350P, and an Abra will teleport you to the other side of Mt. Edge. 8: Worldedge City Trades: Psychic-type 8.1. ‘I asked for something colorful, but Zachery gave me this horrible fish! Please, give me a Flabébé instead.’ 8.2. ‘This is Indeedee. I’d like an Aron. Can you trade me an Aron for my Indeedee?’ 8.3. ‘It was so cute, but then I looked up what it becomes upon evolution. Yikes. Trade me a Petilil for this Flittle?’
So, every so often there are tame Abras just sitting around. These are typically holding a sign saying where they can teleport you for a payment. They’ve been bred for this exact purpose, and they’re not available for capture. There ARE wild Abras around… but good luck finding one.
Pokédex Entry #63 – Abra, the Psi Pokémon. Due to the strain of Psychic powers, it needs to sleep for 18 hours a day. However, even asleep it can use its powers, which reads the minds of beings close-by and teleports instinctively if it finds someone hostile. Someone wishing to catch an Abra must clear their mind as they approach.
Behind some corners or just walking about are these yellow-brown creatures. Originally they just lived around Mt. Edge, but then a bunch of dreamers moved in and they felt no reason to move.
Pokédex Entry #96 – Drowzee, the Hypnosis Pokémon. It gains nourishment by consuming dreams. Fun or happy dreams are more delicious, and it can get a bad stomach from nightmares. In battle, it puts enemies to sleep and then eats their dreams. It remembers every dream it has eaten, and if you make friends with one it can show you its best dreams with psychic powers.
Occasionally, one of these drift through the air, looking as happy as a unicellular organism could possibly be.
Pokédex Entry #577 – Solosis, the Cell Pokémon. Their bodies are surrounded by a special liquid that protects them from any environment, no matter how dirty. When among its own kind it communicates telepathically, and should it be endangered it drives attackers away using strong psychic attacks.
The closer you get to Mt. Edge, the more frequently you’ll see one of these flying around. But, spend any time in Worldedge City and you’ll see them eventually.
Pokédex Entry #605 – Elgyem, the Cerebral Pokémon. A mysterious Pokémon that only appeared around half-a-decade ago, theorized to be linked with a UFO said to have been seen crashing into the deserts of Unova. However, they appeared around Mt. Edge in Isson at around the same time. Usually friendly, they’re known to squeeze the brains of attackers with psychic power, causing terrible headaches.

Currently entering the Information District, the first thing you enter upon arriving in Worldedge City.
Information District
No, they’re not exclusively witches around here.
A common and calm area of Worldedge City, this district attracts those who would fancy themselves scholars. They may seek to share their knowledge at the multiple cafés spread about, read up at the library, check into the museum or any number of things. There aren’t that many things here that would keep a Pokémon Trainer dawdling around for long, and most residents here are fine with that. It is still quite the spectacle, walking on the bridges between these pointy buildings, finding the streets and wondering how you're not lost yet in this maze of stairs and bridges, never touching the ground. Far above lies the Mystical District and there are plenty of stairs up, and down below is the Industrial District… It may feel a bit enclosed. Most notable in this area is most certainly the famous Professor Dunstan’s lab and residence, which he mostly leaves to his companions as he spends a lot of his time in the other lab in Raremine Town as well.
Notable Places:
1. Guide Booth. Because finding your way in Worldedge City can be a challenge! 2. Gossiping Cafés. If you want to hear the useful kind of gossip, sit in among the intellectuals. Ask and you may be surprised at how much you can learn! 3. Sir Know-Em-All. A famed Psychic. If you can think of a person, Sir Know-Em-All can tell you where to go to meet them! 4. Professor Dunstan’s Lab. A legendary researcher of Legendary Pokémon, do you have reason to seek his counsel? 5. World Library. With the backing of Professor Dunstan himself, this library has all the information you could possibly seek… probably. 6. Isson Museum. Don’t feel like travelling to all the corners of the world? Don’t need to, the museum has gathered up the noteworthy things from all its corners! 7. Move Tutor Mansion. A gathering-spot for those talented in teaching Pokémon moves they wouldn’t normally learn.
Using elevators or teleportation Abras, one can easily access the other districts around Worldedge City, so here’s the other options.
Industrial District
There is no way this place can have screwed-up gravity and emotional influence without companies trying to use it for their own gains. The factories of Worldedge City are far below the Information District, down at water-level, where at the base of Mt. Edge countless machines tumble and toll for the continued success of man- and Pokémon-kind. Being below two other districts the Industrial District is naturally dark, even during the day, but countless lights shine it up and the workers do not mind one bit. They have their own marketplaces, their own little residences and they certainly earn enough to make their own lives when it comes to that. But, among the factories and warehouses are those that stand empty, and one might have to wonder what’s actually inside them sometimes.
Notable Places:
1. Factories. Produces everything from Pokédolls to furniture, and who-the-heck-knows. 2. Abandoned Factories. Produces everything from Grimers to street thugs, and who-the-heck-knows. 3. Warehouses. Storing items from factories, some more well-used than others. Some opens by keycards. 4. Request Center. A certain camp of individuals that can take your requests for Pokémon or items you want, and they might come back and provide them for you. Sounds easy, right? 5. Sketchy Entrances. … The heck are you doing down here? They hid these things down here for a REASON, normal people wouldn’t normally ever need to see them! 6. ???. Trigger a “random” event. Not sure why you’d be walking down here, but.
Mystical District
The tip and top of Southern Worldedge City, here the power the mountain provides is enough for certain buildings to float in mid-air. Assisted by Psychic-Pokémon, the upper echelons of the city contains a significant price-tag for those who’d wish to live here and so filters the more common men to the levels below, yet there are activities that draw trainers up from the depths. First and foremost is the Pokémon Gym, floating above their heads, and also the Worldedge Floating Stadium, the largest and most amazing of the multiple stadiums in Worldedge City, where the most epic of battles in the city are fought and watched. Truly, these streets so high above the rest leave a certain impression as one walks here.
Notable Places:
1. Pokémon Gym. Worldedge City Gym. It’s one of those towers floating in mid-air… You need to fly to get there. 2. Worldedge Floating Stadium. Worldedge’s biggest stadium, floating over the city. Have Minor (level 25-minus), Middle (level 25-50) and Major (level 50-plus) cups. 3. The Villas of the Rich. Not that there’s much you could potentially do with them, but they’re here. 4. Orlando’s Spiritual Dojo. A dojo focused on discovering one’s spiritual self. Often takes trips into Mt. Edge. You can join an expedition for protection, or challenge them! 5. Marilyn’s Divination. Tell her where you’re going next, and she can divine your luck and what to look out for when there! 6. Gym Leader’s Home. … So, those who can’t get to the Gym themselves are sometimes known to wait for the leader here. It’s a little frowned upon.
… Then there’s Mt. Edge, splitting the city in half, the ominous peaks having something unfriendly in their jagged shapes to deter any potential hiker wishing to take on its tunnels…
To reach the Northern Districts, you’ll need an Abra to teleport you or walk through the tunnels of Mt. Edge. Costs 350P.
Residential District
On the absolute top of the northern districts, you’ll find the place in Worldedge City with the freshest air. While the building architecture still might require a raised eyebrow, the atmosphere is healthy and playful, many families making their life here on top of the Commercial and Entertainment districts, where they work. Schools and little parks for children to learn the ways of Pokémon exist, and there is nothing saying those older cannot use them too. The Little Cup stadium is here, allowing the children to watch and perhaps participate without straying too far from home. Yet, among these buildings live a few of the most noteworthy individuals in Isson. Like the rumored and powerful Crone, who has to be battled by a strong trainer every once in a while or she will stir up trouble, or like the empty mansion that supposedly belongs to the Champion…
Notable Places:
1. Practice Park. A little park in the residential district where children can catch low-level Pokémon and train for the real thing. 2. Pokémon Day Care. For people to leave their Pokémon while they’re doing something else. Some people don’t like PCs, so~ 3. Little Cup. A small stadium for battling. Levels 15 and lower, only. 4. Champion Estate. The Champion supposedly lives in this mansion here. It looks abandoned. 5. Creator’s Apartment. You instinctively know where this place is somehow, despite nothing advertising it. It’s visually an ordinary apartment. The door is open. 6. House of the Crone. Signs say “We appreciate people challenging her to keep her from being bored, but only if you are confident in your strength.”
Commercial District
Squeezed in-between the Residential District and the Entertainment District lies the Commercial District. It’s a long, winding corridor of tight buildings with many bridges and storefronts, and it all leads up to the Worldedge Department Store, the biggest Pokémart in Isson. If you somehow cannot find what you’re looking for there, then you’re probably all out of luck. It isn’t all there is here, however. Among the corridors is the House of Trades, where people can sit at computers and request trades with all other people that have ever been there, as well as the Psychic Train that uses certain teleporting abilities to achieve transportation to a distant town. Or, if those don’t reach where you want, you can just call a Freecape Ferryman and s/he’ll fly you there, assuming you have the cash. Also here, lies the store where the infamous inventor Russel sells his products. Perhaps, if you’re lucky, the fool’s things actually work for you? No guarantees, though!
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Department Store. Products from all over Isson gather, right here. The largest store of Isson. 2. Worldedge Trade Station. A place where people can come trade Pokémon and items with people from all over! 3. Pokémon Groomer. For a price, you can have some professionals treat your Pokémon like royalty~! 4. Psychic Train. Runs along spiritual tracks to lead somewhere else in the world. The trips are one-way only. 4.1. Justroad City/Gentlevale City/Witchpeak City. 500P 4.2. Bigfjord City/Freecape Town/Raremine Town. 1000P 4.3. Redcoast City/Rainrock City/Pureplain City. 2000P 5. Freecape Ferrymen Phone. A phone linked to call a Freecape Ferryman, who can Fly you somewhere in the world for a considerable price. 6. Food Stands. Hot dogs to ice creams. Pretty good. 7. Inventor Russel’s Store. Russel, crazy inventor. Who knows what he might have for sale? He’s also known to give random stuff or quests to trainers passing by, giving them cash as incentive.
Entertainment District
In the depths of Northern Worldedge City, common sense goes out the window. Given all the buildings on top, few actual lights come down here even during the day, but all the blazing lights in this unnatural city-scape more than make up for it. Plenty of the skyscrapers holding up the Commercial District above have some form of advertisement, and each open door opens a new possible way to spend money in these depths of entertainment, probably with some form of Pokémon logo. Down here lies the most famous and populated Game Corner on Isson, where thousands of P are being wasted every day, and houses for unofficial Contests or Battles for money and prices are sanctioned and bet upon for the enjoyment of viewers and participants. It truly feels like if one never got bored, one would probably never run out of things to do down here… assuming the wallet didn’t run dry, that is.
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Game Corner. Only play with as much you’re willing to spend! 2. Countless restaurants, stores, cinemas, show-houses, amusement-parks, whatevs. You can waste the rest of your money here, on whatever you want! 3. PokéMania! Do battle for the enjoyment of the viewers, and have sudden strange rules applied to every battle! Fancy prices~ 4. Contest Clarity. Forget all ranks, here we do contests for the show, and the show alone! Oh, and for cash prices~ 5. Deep Dark Depths of Worldedge. This city feels like it goes on forever! How far does it go…?
‘If you don’t know what to do with what you mine out, you can sell them to us. Oh, and sometimes you might come across Pokémon. These Pokémon are very old, from an age long past, but if freed from the ice they still come alive. Be aware, they’re usually aggressive when they come out of the ice. Anyway, I figure you can go over here,’ he pointed at a place on the map on the wall. ‘And you should be able to mine decently safely and without being disturbed. That wall is relatively untapped. Go for it,’ said the head miner. Note that the map was only a map of the mines, there was nothing about how the tunnels that led past the mines looked.
So, with that, Eryn was eventually off and heading for the place she was pointed to (or maybe she felt like a rulebreaker and went somewhere else, do tell me so). This led her past a couple more miners who here and there had little Pokémon helping them, like Machop, Ponyta, Litleo or Geodude. She headed on, and found the particular wall that the miner had indicted for her. Then, it was time to mine!
The ice was much nicer to mine than rock. It broke up with just a few swings, piece for piece, and with Dei and Atha helping her out it was going pretty fast. In fact, couldn’t she see something in the ice already? Past the ice, and with her getting deeper into it, a form became more and more visible as she approached…
Eventually, she found herself face to face with a frozen Pokémon.
♂ Pokédex Entry #322 – Numel, the Numb Pokémon. Numel is a cauldron of magma, which powers its fire-moves and enormous power that can move up to around 100kg. It is extremely dull-witted and won’t even notice being hit. If it gets wet the magma cools and it loses its energy.
… Well, it sure looked like it had lost all its energy. It was up to Eryn if she wanted to free the Pokémon or not.
There was something else. An odd rock that somewhat felt like it just fell out of the ice on its own? It has an odd carving on the front of it. Very odd.
Oh, and there was something else in here! It’s a Pokéball! Wait, no. An ancient Pokéball? … Hold on…
Pokédex Entry #100 – Voltorb, the Ball Pokémon. They were first found almost simultaneously as the first Pokéball was invented, they have a long history of being mistaken for such. They are unstable, the smallest jolt or bump can cause them to explode. They’re typically found near power plants and can drain electrical power from machines.
The above was what the Pokédex showed. Yet, what was in front of her, right here inside the ice was…
What would Eryn do?
Frozen Cave, Mines
Less than a cave, it feels like you’ve entered the bottom of a great ravine of ice. Long corridors with cliff-like walls stretch on, moving far along the western Mt. Chill mountain range. A cold wind almost constantly blows through the cavern, and looking for the source of these winds will reveal that far above are occasional holes in the cave ceiling which are letting in sunlight from above, and the light from there bounces on all the ice and brightens the entire cave in mystical light. This alone is a spectacle to witness.
However, perhaps the most curious detail is the fact these are, in fact, mines. Workers make their housing in tents, igloos and even properly constructed houses high in the mines. Human-made stairs, ladders and bridges spread across certain walls of the caverns where humans and Pokémon work to uncover the secrets frozen into the walls of the cave. For the most curious of both Pokémon and items are frozen into these walls, and these miners make a profit chopping them out. Perhaps you could join in, see what you might find?
1. Find Pokémon. Note, there are more Pokémon in the tunnels than here. Unless you’re specifically searching the ice? 2. Talk. This is basically a small settlement. They probably know a bit about mining in ice! 3. Move along. Either out of the cave, or deeper into it. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Buildings. Not many, but there’s a small base here! 6.1. Miner’s Base. For maps, getting info or tools and learning how to mine! 6.2. Miner’s Shop. Skip all the hard work of actually mining and buy what the miners are selling! Varies every day! 6.3. Comfy Igloo. If you just want to rest, have a chat, relax, restore health. 7. Area Specific: Mining. People here mine the ice for items and Pokémon caught in the ice. You could too!
Connected areas: Route 5. Exit the mines and you’ll be right there. Frozen Cave. The Frozen Cave proper awaits beyond the mine.
Claire immediately went climbing up various stairs to get up the Pokémon Gym that, of course, was on the very top of the towering structure that was the town. It was perhaps like the whole place was a single giant building. While the total population of Freecape Town wasn’t enough to properly describe the place as a “city”, it was still quite impressive, and from on high there was a great view over the cliffs and seas of the waters east of Freecape and also of Worldedge City practically floating around Mt. Edge further north.
That all aside, Pokémon Gym!
The Pokémon was a huge, modern structure with silver windows and giant letters spelling out “G”, “Y” and “M” on it. It was a dome-structure, indicating the probable presence of a battle stadium on the inside.
In front of it stood a simple sign.
Freecape Pokémon Gym - Minor League Gym Leader: Lowell “The Prince of the Skies!”
‘Welcome to Freecape Town! I see our newest champ-to-be is quick to find the gym of the new town!’ said a person Claire might recognize, stepping out from next to said sign to speak to her. As a type, it’s immune to Ground-type, but weak to its near twin, the Rock-type! It’s strong against Grass and Fighting, but weak against Ice and Electric! Make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into before you take on his airborne menaces!
But before you do that, there’s a Gym Challenge you need to take on! Being tough is not enough for that one! I recommend getting something fast and maneuverable, or possibly something that can pack an accurate punch over a long distance… I don’t want to spoil what it is before it’s revealed, but I do hope you’ll be able to have some fun with it!’
Regardless of if Claire listened to him this time or not, she eventually entered. What awaited her was an honest stadium. Surrounding the field were the stands where people could sit and watch, and there were in fact those who were doing just that. On the field itself, comprised of that kind of floor where people are expecting to run a lot, Pokémon were contending with each other… but not in battle.
A Pikachu Quick Attacked across the stadium, smashing its head into a ball to send flying towards a goal-net. A Pidgeotto flew in with its own Quick Attack to slam it off-course. A Dodrio caught the ball with its side, and it started kicking the ball in front of it heading towards the other side at a massive speed. That’s when a Diglett suddenly struck out from the ground beneath the ball and knocked it straight into the air, and a Hitmonlee jumped into the air, seemingly intending to kicking the ball with massive power straight across the field at the goal on the other side…! … When a massive Whirlwind blew both the alarmed Hitmonlee and the ball straight into the goal on the other side! The Sigilyph that unleashed the Whirlwind however down to beside its trainer, just as the voice of an announcer called and the challenger on the other side bawled in despair.
‘0-3! And that's a match! That’s another challenger down to the Gym Leader! Is the world out of worthy challengers!? Or is he just that good!? Either way, give it up for the Prince of the Sky, Gym Leader of Freecape Town, Lowell!’ the announcer called, and those chosen few who were in the audience erupted in cheer. They were clearly just there to see their favorite Gym Leader. The man himself gave a charming smile and held a hand up in greeting, which just made them go even more crazy…
Pokédex Entry #17 – Pidgeotto, the Bird Pokémon. It picks a large area to be its territory in which it makes its nest, patrols circling in the sky for prey and pecks intruders. It has amazing vision, known to spot the movement of prey even at its maximum altitude, and is also known to be able to fly 100 km without pause, prey in its talons.
Pokédex Entry #85 – Dodrio, the Triple Bird Pokémon. It uses three brains to execute complex plans. It has three hearts, three sets of lungs but only one stomach. The three heads are no longer identical, representing joy, sorrow and anger each, occasionally squabbling with different opinions. They’re largely aggressive and should be approached with caution for pecks.
Pokédex Entry #561 – Sigilyph, the Avianoid Pokémon. The guardians of ancient cities, their memories of their ancient duties so steadfast that they still patrol a single route that it doesn’t change, ever since birth. If they spot any invaders, they will immediately attack with psychic powers. The cycle is only broken if caught by a trainer.
Now, Claire wasn’t the only challenger here that wanted to challenge Lowell. Right in front of her…
‘I will be the best… Like nobody ever was…!’
Stood a small boy with blue hair. He was looking like he was pumping himself up. The boy was someone that Claire might recognize. Did she recognize Simon from, you know, back on day 1?
‘Hey, new challengers!’ the announcer walked back down to them. It was a big guy in a suit looking mighty jolly smiling at them. ‘Welcome to Freecape Town Pokémon Gym! The Gym Challenge is to win against the Gym Leader in a game of Pokémon Soccer! The teams are 3-on-3! Either the first one to 3 goals or the one with the most goals after 15 minutes wins! In case of a tie, the house wins! No Pokémon may grab the ball, even with telekinesis, but they may use any other move on the ball! It’s hardy, it can take it. But, targeting the Pokémon on the opposing team is a foul. Hitting the ball out-of-bounds gives the ball to the opposing team. Pretty simple, eh? Any questions? Would anyone like to take on the Gym Leader at once, or would you like to practice first?’ He gained a little smirk. ‘Perhaps against each other? And the one who wins gets to challenge the Gym Leader first?’
‘Practice! I have practiced so much already! I won’t lose to- Huh, wait…’ Simon suddenly blinked, turning his head to realize Claire was there, and he peered at her a bit as if trying to remember if he’s ever seen her before.

Freecape Town
On the cliffs south of the grand Worldedge City, on the top of the hilly Route 8 rises a marvelous construction of mankind and Pokémon. Made by people who thought Worldedge City was growing too tight for their taste, the town was built straight above where the winds of the seas hit the cliffs and swirl upwards, placing the town on top of a massive updraft. People here are lively with desires for exploration and freedom. Here, many great travellers of the world were born, and it is almost natural that a young trainer of Freecape will eventually take to the skies.
The buildings of Freecape Town are constructed more vertically than horizontally. Stairs, elevators or flying Pokémon are the ways to get around the town. The ability for a Pokémon to safely Fly with their trainer is usually impossible until the Pokémon has trained in the Pokémon Flight Academy, which provides training and saddles for such a feat. The Air Dock allows flying Pokémon to lift much higher than they otherwise would using the great updraft, allowing Pokémon and trainers to reach much further than they’d otherwise potentially reach.
And, of course, most famously, Freecape Town is home to the merry Freecape Ferrymen. Need an item delivered? Need to be flown across Isson? Call them a simple number and a Freecape Ferryman will fly over to fly you wherever you want to go, for a certain fee, of course! Their prices are steep, but their track-records are flawless! Perhaps you’ll even get to ride with some of the favourites, like the Steel Ferryman or the Fiery Ferryman, or if you’re especially lucky… Maybe you’ll even get to fly with the Gym Leader himself? Oh, you didn’t know? He’s a Freecape Ferryman, too!

Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Places. Visit any of the places in the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Pokémon Gym. Minor League Flying-type Gym! 6.4. Freecape Ferrymen Office. Fly you to any settlement you’ve already been for 500P! 6.5. Air Dock. Right by the great updraft, this dock is perfect for a flying Pokémon to catch the wind. Lots of flying Pokémon fly by. 6.6. Freecape Ferrymen HQ. Famous throughout the land, the Freecape Ferrymen can fly you wherever you want, for a price! You can collect their phone numbers. 6.7. Pokémon Flight Academy. Not all Pokémon are ready to Fly their trainer. Train them and buy saddles here! 6.8. Crazy Collector’s House. Found something rare? The collector might want to buy it for huge sums! Or, perhaps, you want to obtain something rare from him? 6.9. Maintenance Levels. Less populated paths lead down, walked only when something needs repair, yet it has to be traversed to get to Route 17. 7. Freecape Town Trades: Flying-type 7.1. ‘Hey, I run a construction-company and was thinking I’d get a Pikipek to hammer in my nails… Didn’t work as I intended. Want to trade me a Machop for it?’ 7.2. ‘We went to see Zachery, and I got a Rookidee! But so did my friends, so it feels a little silly having the same Pokémon. Want to trade me a Minun for it? I have a Plusle, so it’d complete the set!’ 7.3. ‘I… got a Bombirdier. I wanted to rest in its apron as it flew… it dropped me. I’d trade it for a Kangaskhan. Maybe it’ll let me rest in its pouch…’
Connected areas: Route 8. A hilly landside descending quickly down towards Route 6, populated by many birds. Route 10. A calm farm-land leading up to the massive Worldedge City. Route 17. Water-route crossing to the northern landmass. Going down through the Maintenance Levels is required.
Lesley held her arms crossed as Basil came to terms with what he wanted to say. It did appear like she was getting an idea before he managed to say anything, on account of that her smile was waning. Especially after his statement about understanding the weight of his next statement. She did not reply, but her expression had gone to that of complete seriousness. Then, finally, he asked the question. With that, Lesley momentarily closed her eyes, tightened her crossed arms and grunted the slightest.
‘Do you, now?’ Lesley asked, the usual excitement in her voice having disappeared. She didn’t sound particularly pleased. ‘Darn it. Have I been making too many exceptions, lately? I mean, I guess this is better than that they try to steal them for themselves, but…’ Lesley muttered to herself. ‘I just let her get away with one, today’s “let kids run off with dragons”-quota has been met already,’ she grunted. Then, her eyes opened again and she glared at Basil.
‘… I can tell you’re honest. So I will allow it, on one condition,’ Lesley said, holding out a single finger. ‘I’ll drop you off in the middle of Dragon Lake. Don’t worry, there’s an island there. An island of dragons. On that island, convince one of the young dragons to come with you… and also convince that dragon’s mother to let you have the little tyke. I warn you, they’re typically not as forgiving of weakness as humans,’ she said, looking not entirely pleased but still saying it this.
‘Of course, I will be watching, and if you do anything I don’t like, like unjustly attacking the dragons or throwing Pokéballs like an idiot or something, I will challenge you to a Pokémon battle on the spot,’ she said, matter-of-factly. She also probably didn’t need to mention how that battle would end.
‘Are you willing to give it a try?’ she asked, glaring at him.
If not, they could get going.
Lakewatch Town
As one looks upon Lakewatch, it is clear it was once built by the side of the water. Yet, over time, Dragon Lake has actually increased in volume, the water-level rising and swallowing the town. Then the natural conclusion would be to move the town back, follow the water-level, and rebuild at the new shore, right? That, does not appear to have been the thought that went through the minds of the designers of this Town, which is essentially placed out in the water on top of older buildings, the streets of the town flooded in water and to get around one has to make use of their many canoes or get on the back of a Pokémon.
The town of Lakewatch rises fairly high for its size, and vegetation grows pretty freely around the buildings. Most buildings and streets have white floating cobblestone to walk on either side of the streets, with a river of water flowing in the middle. People here are highly accustomed to this, and the streets are constantly bustling with people heading back and forth, as well as people actually gliding down from the higher buildings from the roofs above using strange little paragliders. It appears people live in the higher floors, while business takes place on ground/water-level. There are canoes basically everywhere that anyone’s free to borrow, townspeople commonly jumping down on a canoe, using the force of the jump to drift it to the other side and then simply jump off.
Now, anyone could hear from the name that Lakewatch Town is the town that basically rules the Dragon Lake. The Lakewatchers are a group of people that regularly patrol the waters, and become friends with the dragons that live there. Tours by the Lakewatchers are the primary tourist attraction of the place, along with the fish that is procured from the same lake, and guides are trained to show the way in any surrounding areas. Their boats are also those who trade with the western side through Highhill, keeping the place alive and busy. Plus, there’s always the rumors of treasure or otherwise hiding deep in Flooded Lakewatch, and Descent Tower looms in the middle of town for those hoping to explore… but who really knows? It’s a nice and different place, definitely.

With all these strange places around, Lakewatch offers guides to the surrounding areas! 6.8. Descent Tower. A tower in the middle of town, with stairs down to Flooded Lakewatch. Come prepared for the underwater. 6.9. Back Alleys. … What? Lakewatch has a darker section? What are you talking about? 7: Lakewatch Town Trades: Dragon-type 7.1. ‘I got Drampa because he looked goofy, but he’s just too large. I’d trade him for a Musharna.' 7.2. ‘I got Duraludon as bait for trainers. What I truly want… is a Smeargle! A Smeargle for my Duraludon!’ 7.3. ‘I got Cyclizar to ride over Route 6… but I realized I’m still scared. Trade me a Sableye for my Cyclizar? Because… pretty gem eyes.’ 8: Familiar Faces: You all.
Connected areas: Wet Caverns. Water-filled caverns that are located to the east. There’s a small hill to climb to get to the entrance. Route 5. The main exit of Lakewatch, leading to a grassy incline connecting mountains, forests and plains. Route 14. The waters of Dragon Lake are also known as Route 14. It connects Lakewatch Town, Highhill Town and Stillwood Village.
‘Do I now? Well, that's nice,’ Lesley chuckled a bit. ‘Don't worry about it. Talks need to happen, and that sounded pretty important. Anyway, you wanted to "walk and talk", or otherwise just talk to me. So, what's up?’
Walking and talking is optional. Lesley needs to fly where she needs to go.
Ronin smiled at being patted by Lily and the others assuring her that Nykannis might actually be a good person or whatever, but then Pentius-04 came and delivered a message directly to her. Oh, really, now.
‘A tsundere, which I affectionately shortened to “tsun”, is a character that initially comes off as harsh and/or unpleasant but ultimately has good intentions and mellows out and becomes sweeter with time and character development,’ Ronin replied, without looking up anything. ‘I was thinking maybe you’re like that, Nykannis, but of course, I must be mistaken. You clearly take great pride in being a miserable twat with a detestable personality with no redeemable qualities and zero room to grow or chance to become a better person. My apologies~’ Ronin said, with a happy smile and with a wink at the end.
‘D-dear sister, perhaps don’t antagonize the one who just agreed to help us and is clearly much stronger than us,’ Miko said.
‘She calls our home a shithole, calls us worthless and/or pathetic and talks down to us at every turn,’ Ronin replied. ‘She needs to know she can’t do that without being told she’s a fucking cunt,’ Ronin continued, still smiling happily.
