Personal Style:
Kasi tends to dress herself based on her mood, as well as what is easiest to put on and wear. As changing clothes is difficult, she tends to aim for comfortable, and so on. Unless she is working out in the public, making appearances. In these situations, her style could be described as ‘smart’, classy. Dresses and skirts, button down blouses, nice earrings, one or two other pieces of jewelry which are more accent than anything. You will probably never find her in heels. She doesn’t normally have the coordination to handle more than flats. Around town, you might spy her in everything from sweats to a polo and a nice pair of trousers. At home, PJ’s all the time, if she gets fully dressed. A long shirt is most comfy and easiest to deal with.

When suited up, she often wears a bodysuit made from a printed version of SuperFabric™. The material is remarkable and is pretty much designed for the job. Often she will wear a design that is dark violet, and indigo with dark grays for operating at night. During the day, and expecting to be more visible to the public she favors gold/amber or silver accents. There is a cloak with a deep hood for working at night, and a lighter cape for during the day. Despite the jokes about superheroes and capes, she wears it for multiple reasons. They serve as a distraction, a weapon, cut down on visibility or can make herself seem even larger. It is an iconic look, and they are treated with a hydrophobic solution to shed rain.

In the field she often uses a hard-shell pack with interior padding to cut down on noise, but has a soft pack as well. She does carry a belt with some gear on it, with spares close by. Most of it is compact, but of relatively decent quality.

Fears: 3 real fears that make your character unhinged

• Surgery or other physical trauma, and pain. The idea alone makes her shudder in revulsion and cringe. This is less a problem or barely thought of when she’s ‘suited up’. She hates the thought of being cut open, scarred up, the recovery time.. If any.. The idea that she could just straight out die on the table. It’s also deeply invasive physically and in a way personally.
• Getting arrested. She’s heard too many horror stories of what happens sometimes while getting arrested, but then also going to jail or prison. She knows she would not do well there.
• Losing her support network - Kasi, while tough and resilient in her own way, knows that she would not be where she is without her loved ones. While less atavistic, the idea that her boyfriend might leave her or be killed, or any of her other friends, or her family … it does keep her awake.

• Computer Skills: Kasi is skilled with computers, computer systems, and is a pretty decent programmer. She knows -some- hacking theory, but she generally avoids it. She is also able to repair and build her own computers, and has a very solid grasp of basic electronics.
• Journalism & Writing: Kasi spent a while learning the ins and outs of jouranlism and creative writing. She has become a skilled researcher. By now she is skilled with surveillance equipment and tactics, and tailing people.
• Sciences Skills: Kasi has a major interest in various sciences, from astronomy and astrophysics to anthropology, chemistry, and advanced mathematics. She is a polymath.
• Arts & Digital Arts: Kasi has drawn since she was little, both by hand and digitally. She is also a skilled photographer, and has taken plenty of coursework in college to build these skills.
• Life Skills: Often independent despite her physical problems, Kasi has learned to handle a number of things on her own. She has become a decent cook, can repair or maintain most things, handle her own finances, as well as manage basic businesses.
• Kali: Being handicapped, Kasi has opted to learn filipino martial arts to increase her coordination, but also, living in a bad neighborhood, she haslearned it because running isn't an option. It's almost zero emphasis on kicks, and being mostly work with the hands through weapons is most suitable for her.
• Handguns: With the potential for trouble to find Kasi and with her lack of ability to flee, it seemed prudent to learn how to use handguns. Rifles are too much and don't go well with the chair.
• Knives & Sticks: Weapons are a great equalizer. With her Kali training, Kasi has become proficient in edged and impact weapons. Most often she will have a knife on her for defense, as it is easier to manage with a wheelchair. If walking with a cane or crutch, you can bet it will be used as a weapon
• Singer: Often alone for long periods, and with a love of music, Kaci has developed a pleasant singing voice naturally. She often will sing for or to herself, and occasionally a sibling. If you ask her really nicely, she might sing for you too, but you can expect her to be very embarrassed.

• The Transformation: Kasi has the ability to take a form that much resembles a demigoddess. In this form she uses the alias Tempest. In this form her physical attributes are greatly enhanced, including her physical strength, which becomes Supernatural, putting it above most other Capes. In this instance she is able to lift over 16,000 pounds, and carry more than half that. She becomes a full foot taller, and and a hundred pounds heavier due to increased muscle mass and density. She resembles a goddess, with supermodel or fitness model looks. This transformation also grants the following powers below.
• Alter Physical Structure - Electricity: A remarkable power in which the user can become highly charged with crackling lightning over their form, or they may transform to resemble an energy being made of living lightning. This allows for a wider array of attacks with lightning, including the ability to generate it over an area, or around a person to confine them, or a defensive field for themselves. Can also become energized for short bursts of electric flight up to a mile distant. Can be used for a ramming type of attack that does no damage to themselves. During this state they are immune to electricity. They are resistent to fires and energy attacks.

• Healing Factor The astonishing ability to regenerate wounds and damaged tissues. Will not regenerate lost limbs. Character does not fatigue whatsoever! All wounds healed will not scar. Is highly resistant to poisons, toxins, and even magic. If they do take effect, those effects are reduced to a third. May hit a regeneration overdrive twice per day that heals a decent portion of her body's injuries. Otherwise regeneration is slower.
• Flight: Wingless The ability to fly without any apparent means. Kasi can fly at 200 mph, and will continue to increase her speed as she grows in experience and pushes her limits. her flight mobility affords her more freedom to attack and defend herself with, and can even use flying charging attacks to increase her striking speed and force.
• Energy Expulsion: Electricity The remarkable ability to channel bolts of lightning from her hands or eyes. With this power she may divide her attacks between two different targets at the same time for one attack. She may attack with this sixteen times a minute, or about once every 3 or so seconds. Range is 400 feet, though it will grow farther over time and as she pushes her limits

• Eliot “Eli” - First Born (Oct 6 - Libra) - 9 years older - Relationship with Eli is not super great due to the age gap. But they are not estranged.

Childhood: The day the condolence officers came to the house to inform her mother that Warrant Officer Alan Graves had been killed in action. He was a Kiowa pilot overseas. He’d gone down protecting a group of operators, providing close air support. A chucklehead with an RPG had gotten lucky. The helo crashed, but with the local insurgents, there was no way to get to him. There are images floating around on the internet of what they did to him, and it was in the news for a while.

This was compounded with the struggle of growing up with nearly useless legs. Having a mother who worked hard with bills piling up.
Adulthood: Graduating high school was probably the best day of her life, but she was already pushing for college.
Special Moments: The day she met Phillip who seemed out of nowhere to save her from dropping all of her things at the store, and possibly taking a terrible spill. The man has been a treasure ever since.
Finding out she wasn’t as crippled as she thought, and that there was a power inside her, one that made her something much much more. That was a special day. Right up there with the day that Phil asked her out.
Current Events: Currently, Kasi is focusing on getting her Master’s Thesis completed, maintaining her relationship with her boyfriend, a couple of book projects, and keeping up with the family as best she can.

I divide being adult up into three areas:

Physically. Emotionally. Mentally. I'm pretty no one is an 'adult' in all three of these, lol. *looks at some of the behavior of the heroes currently and chuckles*

Justine is 24, college graduate. Successful reporter, even as a freelancer, making significant cash. Physically, mentally, and emotionally she is a relatively well-adjusted young adult in her prime. I think she qualifies.

So it might be as large as NYC, but it is a major city. Furthermore, there are districts called "Chinatown", "Little Sicily", "Little Ulster", and the "French Quarter", so there is definitively a Chinese, Italian, and Irish population, or at least a remnant of it.

@Nitemare Shape@Hound55@Dedonus - Forgive me if this is Stupid Question Day from me, but I'm looking for a particular piece of information. What is the rough area or diameter of Lost Haven? What, roughly, is it's population and demographics? - I don't know if I have missed this information somewhere (if it's listed at all). It certainly does not appear in the OOC OP. I was wondering if NMS or somebody had those numbers rattling around anywhere.

It probably doesn't matter to anyone else, but it makes things shiny for my leaky brainpan.

Edit: Really anybody can answer this, but I figured I would direct it at our GM team.
