Elyka grinned from ear to ear as she managed to nail the cockpit of an Interceptor, flying through the explosion that momentarily took its place, fire trailing the twin wing tips of her fighter. Continuing upwards as the Ardent Liberty flew back down into the atmosphere, she chuckled in the heat of the fight, admiring the work of her comrades and reveling in her own while she looped back into battle. Lasers and explosions lit up her view like fireworks.

"I'm down, repeat, I'm down!"

Her self-indulgent moment was short-lived, as she turned her commlink up, and it wasn't just the downing of that X-Wing; there was a disturbance in the force. Something dark, similar to the feeling she had in her dreams the moment before she woke. Also, TIE fighters.

"Ah shit!" she grunted as she steered off course hard, attempting to avoid incoming fire, green bolts blazing past only inches from the cockpit. Not just one or two, but three interceptors had decided to pursue her, having broken off from the main swarm. They obviously tired of her speed-based hit-and-run tactic, and her A-Wing had no room for a droid, meaning it wouldn't take much to put her down like her ally.

She began a dive towards the planet again, seeing the Corvette pull of a risky but effective maneuver itself. It was obvious they must be trying to land rather than sustain battle, and that it had one hell of a pilot. Elyka flew just as desperate, rolling and swerving out of the path of continuous fire. She knew she had to focus on the safety of the Liberty and the rest of the team, but she was dying to find out what was going on in that meeting that was so important it warranted this high profile of an attack on a Republic ship.

She attempted another run at a concentrated force of TIEs, forcing the few Interceptors hounding her to risk friendly fire. Firing indiscriminately as she mainly focused on not crashing while trying to get her pursuers to do exactly that, her reuse of the exact same tactic was effectively a middle finger to the enemy pilots on her ass.
@PyroDash888 That was an awesome post, loved it :) I didn't even remember she was force sensitive, but I suspected it from the post before I re-read your CS.
Oh, wait, @GingerBoi123 still needs to post. Once again, everyone on the Corvette at least needs to post before I can really move things forward, since the action is currently centered there.

I was just about to mention that. But he did say he didn't know what to post, so it might make it easier for him if he has more to write about or respond to.
"So much for a quiet arrival..."

She already knew what Akyra was going to say before she said it, both of them knowing what they had to do. As Akyra hurried off, Elyka spun on her heels without hesitation and sprinted back through the doors they had just passed. As much as she wanted to bang her head senselessly against the wall for failing to foresee the attack, let alone leaving her ready position so eagerly, she managed to focus completely on the confrontation ahead.

Elyka leapt off the ground into a front flip, closing quite a distance as she landed in the A-Wing's cockpit. She powered up the engines and began to guide the fighter as it hovered and glided across the hangar bay, flipping a row of switches as the rear thrusters warmed and the cockpit steadily swung closed.

Speeding out of the Ardent Liberty before it began its evasive maneuvers, green lasers blasting past her, Elyka was already reaching breakneck speeds as she activated her jammer to throw off the TIEs' targeting. She took advantage of it by diving straight down and at the oncoming squadron of fighters, barely managing to get any shots off while narrowly avoiding any collisions.

They seemed to split formation as she swooped past them, sharply steering back upwards at high speeds but arcing widely, getting too close to Nar Shaddaa's skyline. Quickly she adjusted her targeting system as she came around back at them while her cannons had time to tilt and aim this time before she pulled the trigger. She had a better chance at taking one down this run, though still dangerously flying straight at them, rolling her craft to best avoid smashing right into theirs.
@Aerath Yeah sure! That'd be cool, I'll edit my IC post to clarify something like, they met as Padawans on the sparring grounds and completed a couple missions together as Knights, if that sounds good with you. Dialogue'll be the same.
@VitaVitaAR, @GingerBoi123, @Aerath How familiar should we all be with each other? Would we have trained at the same temple or previously been on any missions together? Or might some of us be better acquainted than others?

I was a little vague with Elyka and Akyra just so I could get my first post out there, I can always change it tho.
At the back of the Ardent Liberty's hanger sat a standard Republic A-Wing Starfighter, its systems powered but engines offline, a young Jedi Knight fast asleep in its open cockpit. She had one foot hanging out and her other pressing against the floor, her back hunched in poor posture and her head resting at an angle; she would have looked uncomfortable were it not for how deep in slumber she appeared to be, even drooling on the cold metal. A red safety light blinking above and a glowing HUD illuminated her furrowed expression as it began to intensify, her mind getting lost in dreams.

Whether it was something in the force or just the depressing cold of space, a darkness began to cloud her dream. Suddenly her head jerked as she woke wide eyed, at once sitting up straight as she quickly focused, adjusting to her surroundings as if prepared for an attack. Her mind calmed and she used her sleeve to wipe the drool from her face. Just then the intercom started to broadcast,

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we've just gotten landing clearance..." Good timing, Elyka thought, attempting to shrug off her unusual awakening.

She could feel the soreness in her neck sleeping like she did, rubbing with her right hand as she stretched her other arm. She reasoned she'd rest in a fighter's seat so that she would be at the helm for any kind of emergency, but that was no longer necessary since they were about to land. Pulling herself out of the cockpit and standing tall on the wing of the small fighter, Elyka stretched her arms and yawned before hopping off.

As she stared off into the view of Nar Shaddaa's approaching atmosphere from behind the wide forcefield for a few moments, she felt Akyra's presence at the hangar's entrance. Elyka had first met her when they were Padawans, and they had completed a couple missions together as Knights, so she was probably more familiar with her than anyone else on the ship. "Ever been to Nar Shaddaa?" she asked loudly from a distance as she headed towards her fellow Jedi, sounding excited about their mission.

"Let's regroup with the others before we land," motioning for Akyra to come along, walking down the hallway towards the briefing room, where Elyka assumed the others might be waiting.
@VitaVitaAR Just to clarify, is Saku Rira in the hanger or somewhere else on the ship?
Sorry I haven't been on in a couple days. I'll get working on a post as soon as I catch up
I have a friend coming to visit me this week. I bought us tickets to a show, pretty expensive, and she texts me "How much do I owe you?" and I said "dw, I gotchu :)" without even telling her the price, just cause I felt like being an awesome friend.

Then she replies "Oh yeah, I guess that's fair considering gas and travel time." I just wanted to be like, "You could have just said thank you, considering I literally never bring that up the 5x I've come to visit you and this is the first time you've visited me since I moved out." It's more annoying cause it implies how much she takes it for granted when I visit her.
