Helena chuckled softly. "I'm sure they'll find a way to get you into the water, one way or another." She said, knowing their friends wouldn't give up that easily. And besides, he had been gone for years without a word, he pretty much deserved it, in all honesty. Of course, Leo had his reasons to leave all of a sudden and stay away that long, but still.

Helena thought about bringing her camera along for a moment, until she remembered again that the lens was broken. So until she got it fixed, the camera wasn't of much use. Such a shame, though. She would've loved to take pictures of their friends, everyone back together, and she wanted to make some photos of that lake Leo was talking about, too. She had to make sure to get her lens fixed soon.

By morning, Leo was changing. He knew Helena was still awake, so there was really no reason to get her up. He walked toward her room, waiting outside her door. "You'll call them I want them to be surprised when I'm back in town for a while don't want them to hassle me with questions just yet." He said through the door as he was leaning against the wall.

He got the cooler ready to go, soda and water was inside it. Leo had learned his lesson about drinking a few years ago. He got the cooler into the back end of the truck, along with a few chairs he threw into the back once he had found them. He kinda still knew where everything was in the house even after all these years.

Helena changed her nightgown for a simple, white dress with a soft pink ribbon around the waist to decorate it, and flat, soft pink shoes underneath it. It was predicted that the weather would be warm and nice today, so even though the dress was a little short, she didn't worry about catching a cold. She nodded to Leo and after that called their friends to let them know.

"We meet them at the usual spot." Helena said when she got back to Leo, looking at him. Their usual meeting spot was a simple, lonely tree standing in the park, where Leo had brought her with him to them when she would meet them for the first time.

Leo nodded, as he made sure that the cooler was secure in the back. He waited till Helena was in the truck, before he drove toward the park. He had a smile on his face, they would most likely try and drag him out of the truck to tackle hug him. He chuckled at the thought, as he was driving.

Once they got there, he knew Helena would walk up first, he would be a few yards behind her on purpose. He had his own way of surprising people, but he just didn't want to do it this time. He would let them tackle him and hug him, he wouldn't mind that it had been 8 years after all.

Helena walked over to their friends, who were approaching the two of them once they noticed Leo and Helena. It was only a matter of time before they ran at Leo and hugged him, causing him to fall. Helena watched with a smile and softly chuckled when they started ranting at Leo for being gone so long after they got up. He did deserve it, in all honesty.

Leo's shoulders sagged slightly, as they started ranting at him. "Alright alright I'm sorry for being gone for so long I couldn't control my parents from moving." He shrugged as they asked, what he did for a few years. "I did jobs here and there now I work for the FBI my boss wanted me as a body guard for Helena because of the gang that was coming after her has a huge criminal record."

Leo looked at Helena, offering a small smile. As he put his hands in his pockets, he couldn't think of another person he could be in love with. He let out a sigh, he knew they couldn't get close to each other till this whole thing was over at least. Then they could, get close to each other all he had to do was wait.

Helena looked at Leo for a moment and sighed. "Didn't you think it would be a better idea to keep them out of this mess? If they get involved, their lives will be at risk too." She said to him. It wasn't that she didn't love him, but what was he thinking, simply telling it like that out in the open? It was reckless, and they could easily get involved, especially if someone was spying on them at the moment. Didn't he think of that? He worked for the FBI, so shouldn't he think of such things?

Leo shook his head, "I've thought that through in my head for awhile. No criminal comes out during the day and with there reputation too Helena they won't be in danger I can tell you that much." He let out a sigh, "if we want to make it there by noon then let's get going."

Once everyone was in the truck, he drove to the lake. Once there he got, everything that was in the back out. Taking his shirt off, he smiled a bit as he looked at the sky then over his shoulder at Helena offering her a smile.

"Oh really, they don't come out at day? Then what about yesterday, back in the forest, when I almost got shot?" She asked, annoyed by how naive he seemed to be thinking. She was glad to see her friends back, but it was just such a reckless, dangerous thing for them to meet Helena and Leo again, and she didn't want them to get hurt. That, and of course, something else...

She took a seat in the truck and wrapped her arms around her stomach for a moment, thinking. Last day and last morning she hadn't felt much, but the past few weeks, something had definitely felt different. She was afraid of telling anyone, embarrassed, and she didn't even know for sure yet, but still, she had been throwing up pretty much every morning, had moodswings like she currently had and more things hinting at it, so even if she didn't know for sure, she had no clue what else it could be. But if it was true, then what? She had no idea with who she could talk about it with. Maybe Leo, but he had enough worries already.

They had gotten to the lake, leo climbed out of the truck. Got things set up, and of course he felt hands on his shoulders. Then he realized, he was getting pushed toward the water. "Uhhh Helena a little help please?" He tried to get out of the grip, but his friends wouldn't release him.

Leo got closer and closer to the water, he swallowed. He knew he was in trouble when his feet hit the dirt, his struggled to get out of his friends grip. "Helena help!" Those were the last words out of his mouth, as he hit the water he came up a few seconds later.

While usually spoken Helena could've laughed about it, all she did when her friends pushed Leo into the water, was smiling a little, before diving into the water and getting Leo out of the water. "I'm sorry, I just don't feel very well at the moment..." She apologised to him, before heading back to their friends and sitting down on the grass. She had a guess as to why, but regardless, she just felt terrible, while at the same time, she didn't want to ruin the day, now they finally got to see their friends again.

Helena sighed again. Maybe she would have to tell someone about what happened and what she had been suspecting lately, but she had no idea as to who. Her father was never home and although it was quite something that had happened, she was certain that he would either be mad at her, or wouldn't care at all. As for Leo, he had just gotten back. He wasn't there even a day yet, and she wasn't sure if she should tell him. After all it was quite something, and she didn't want to scare or shock him. Not to mention she was embarrassed about it and most of all wanted to forget what had happened. But maybe she should talk about it with someone, and she knew no one else than him who she could tell.

Leo looked at Helena, she never had acted this way before. He climbed out of the water, sitting down beside her, "you all right?" He asked, never before had he seen her act like this with them or around them. Now he was worried, he didn't know what to do she hadn't acted like this eight years ago. Now she was acting like this, he was worried for her his heart tugged in his chest.

Helena looked at him and forced a smile onto her face, but obviously not a genuine one. "It's okay, I'm just a little sick, that's all..." She said, then sighed and looked at the ground. Lying to him just didn't feel right, not even a little lie like that."Look I'll explain it later, okay? Don't worry about me, just go and have fun." She said, looking at him again for a short moment. She wanted to tell him the truth, but she didn't want their friends to hear it too, or at least not until she knew for sure.

She had no idea how he would react, and in all honesty, she was a little scared to find out. After all, what had happened certainly was not nothing, and she hadn't told anyone yet. Maybe not telling anyone had been a stupid decision, but she just never had a clue who to tell and how to tell it, she still didn't know yet.

Leo looked at her, he let out a sigh then looked back at the lake. "Alright I guess," even though his voice sounded uncertain. He got up and went toward the lake, instead of getting in he just sat there at the edge of it. Looking over the water in front of him.

Nothing felt quite right with him anymore, not with him finding out his parents had died in a car crash 6 years ago. He had been living with his grandfather till he had gotten his job, he let out a breath the water just reminded him of when his father and him had gone fishing.

Helena stared at the water quietly, lost in her thoughts. Even if she didn't feel sick, her thoughts were keeping her from having fun. She had been thinking about what had happened back then an awful lot lately, even though most of all, she just wanted to forget it, more than she wanted anything else. But how could she? The whole happening had left her scarred and it had kept her thoughts occupied for so long, it still did, had never stopped doing so. It was the reason she now cringed at each single bit of physical contact, why she hated it so much to be touched, why even a tap on her shoulder made her uncomfortable. Not that her father ever noticed anything. He was far too busy. Sometimes she wondered if he actually did remember that she existed before they threatened to kill her.

But with Leo, it was different. He had been the first person she didn't mind touching her since what had happened, actually felt good around him. She had even enjoyed their kiss, it was a gentle and loving one. The way he treated her was just so much different from the rough, violent, painful way they had treated her back then... around him, she finally managed to feel alright again.

Leo looked up to the sky, his grandfather had been abusive to him. He had hit leo in his drunken rage, had put him in the hospital from a head on crash with his grandfather, because his grandfather had been driving drunk. He had been seriously injured he was just glad to be alive at least.

His grandfather had survived also, he had lived with him till he was of age to leave. Which still he had gotten abused and had scars to prove that at least. He took a breath, then he looked over his shoulder at his friends, he thought this would be fun, but this was only a reminder of what he had lost awhile back.

Helena sat there and kept thinking while time passed, eventually they would leave again and she got up and walked back to the car. Sure, the whole happening back there didn't scar her physically. No,.if it only were that much easier.... they left her mentally scarred.

"Uhm, Leo, would you mind if we go to the pharmacy first before heading home? I need to but something there..." Helena asked, soft and shyly. She felt too embarrassed to tell him what she needed, or why she needed it in the first place. With such a test she could at least know for sure, and back then she didn't want it, but still...
