Simon sighed and looked at her calmly. So after jack stabbed them all in the back, she took him to a friend, while the others believed that he was dead. "So how is he now? What's the only way?" He asked her, wiping the tears off if her cheek. "We'll tell the other when they need to know. I promise I'll keep quiet."

Wolf nodded and said "Not well..." She looked at him hard then said "Since you are the new first mate...I guess I don't have to be the only one who knows. I'll explain a little but the rest will need to be done on the Strike" She looked back out at the water and said "Pirates are heading to One Piece for the riches...but I have a very different reason for going...I'm trying to take something back...that object is what caused JAck to lose his mind...its hard to explain without seeing it. The rest of the crew doesn't know about this..."

"You really care for him, don't you?" Simon asked her, seeing how far she was going to bring him back from his insanity. He had parents, but they were always distant, and he never really had any friends in the navy. He was a little jealous at seeing her doing all of this just to get Jack back in his right state of mind. "I'll help you in any way that I can. Scarlet keeps talking about how she wants things to go back how they used to be, and I'm pretty interested in seeing that."

Wolf shook her head and said "Its not that simple...even if I can get him back sort of...he can never come back to the crew. Things will never go back to the way they were...but maybe that's a good thing. Gives us a drive to be better you..." She flinched, wrapping an arm around her waist and closed her eyes.

In slight shock, Simon took a small step towards Wolf and looked at her with concern, unsure of what was going on. "Maggs are you alright?" He asked her cautiously reaching an arm out to her. He didn't know what was going on, and didn't know if it was bad enough to alarm Dante and chopper about that the moment. Her last sentence seemed to have been cut off by her flinching, and was curious about what she had planned to say.

She nodded and said "Just my back...it hurts...anyway...I want the crew to be better...and to be happy...that's all I want for them...and if Jack has to forget me..then that's what I will do"

She looked at him and said "That's what I plan to do...but he won't if he knows me...he will keep coming...so I have to...to..." She stopped and looked away, a few tears rolling down her cheek. "Make him forget me completely...what we are....what we went through together...all of it...its the only way to save him..." She sighed and said "For that we will need Iris...which means we need to find the others...and as soon as possible..."

"This isn't easy on you, I can see it. Your shadow doesn't seem to be enjoying it from what I hear... I sorry that it has to be like this." He said in a sad tone of voice, placing his hand on her shoulder. "If there was another way I'd be all on board, but we need to focus on finding your crew, I guess."

Wolf looked down, her shoulders shaking. "I just wish none of this had happened...if I had been stronger to protect my crew...my family...none of this would have happened...I should have been stronger...I should have..." She covered her face with one hand, trying not to lose control, trying to keep it all inside. But she couldn't anymore. Her whole life had been turned upsidedown because of that cursed chest...

Simon looked at her sadly and slowly walked closer to her. "You did what you could, Maggs. We'll try our best to do everything for jack, but we can't make him our only focus. We still have to get the rest of the crew back, as well as get the ship." Slowly, he pulled her into a hug and looked at her. She looked like she needed it, and he didn't want her to look like he was now. He wanted to see her smile like Scarlet said she did, and he was prepared to do whatever it took for that to happen again. "We'll make it though this."

She cried into his shoulder, all her held up emotions flooding out. She hated feeling like this, but she was human after all. She could do so much, but nothing to stop the heartache she was feeling. After a few minutes she pulled back, wiping her eyes. She looked at Hawking and said "Thanks...I guess I picked right man to be my first mate..." She flinched and closed her eyes, holding her shoulder. "Guess pain is a good sign right?"

Simon smiled slightly when she told him that she had picked a good first mate, and nodded his head after being asked is pain is a good sight. "Pain is a part of what makes us human." He could tell that she was feeling a bit better after letting her emotions flood out of her, and his smile widened. He wasn't entirely sure what to say next, so he simply stood there with a single hand on her shoulder, looking at her with a small smile.

Wolf was about to say something when the door opened and Nami poked her head out. "You guys alright out here? Luffy wants to go over our next move...and Dante is back and sobered up nicely" Wolf nodded and said "We are good, we will be in in just a moment" Nami nodded and went back inside.

Simon nodded at Nami and removed his hand from Wolf's shoulder, smiling at her ever so slightly. "I guess we should head in and see what's going on. Hopefully he's doing better." Simon told her, turning back to the door that Nami went through and walked inside quietly. He had little to say, and just wanted to check up and see how the crew was doing at the moment.

Wolf nodded and walked back inside with Simon. Scarlet was busy yelling at dante when they got back into the dining room, the strawhat crew laughing as Dante was trying to speak but Scarlet wouldn't let him. Wolf smiled and said "Just like old times..."

Wolf smiled then put two fingers in her mouth and blew hard, the whistle blaring loudly to make the pair look at her. "That's enough you two...its time for a well over due rest. I know you two have been up for days. Get going" Nami nodded and said "I'll show you to the spare rooms we have, come on" Wolf looked at Luffy and said "Captain, if I may have a word in private?"

"Sure." Luffy said simply, wondering what she wanted to talk about. He was able to see Dante, Scarlet, and Simon all walk away with Nami, leaving just Wolf from her own crew. "What's up? We can head to my quarters if you don't want the others hearing." He offered to her, just trying to be nice to the great Margaret Wolfbane.
