I know that's a lot of posting, and I know I added some ancient Greek and Roman political functions in there; lictors, tyrannicide, easily petitioned government and so forth. Dara's Guardians have authority, but it is tempered with the ambiguity of institutions, like the lictors, providing to fail succor if they're screwups or tyrants, as well as the people attacking them...or defending them.

There probably is a city watch, and I have not fleshed them out. Perhaps you guys might want to. Such a group might decide it's not in their best interests to defend guardians from being taken out. That wasn't, however, the case here and wholesale purges are rare.

Quick question: I'm of the impression that there have historically been more male Guardians than female and that Resa might be one of the first (if not the first) woman. Is this a valid assumption?

Aw shit. You still looking for people? Let me know if you are - and if not, let me know when (if ever) you do. I was in the old Dara RP that was starting out as the old guild went down, and this was something I was, and am, very interested in.

I am going to post shortly. I want to add that everything about the creation of the elves and Noteyalis is a belief held by this particular cult, Somnus of Noteyalis. I say this more specifically for Cider since you went and created a half-elf. ;) You are more than welcome to know about the cult and if you want any relationships with the cult let me know. It is purely Elven, though I can imagine a handful of humans from Choachyte have shown promise and been trained by the Elves, it would be a rarity.

ALSO, It is a bit sloppy in parts and I will reread and edit. Sorry. I just wanted to get it up.

There's room for several religious figures in Dara, because it's a lot like Rome or Greece in that there are a lot of cult-type religions as well as different races (in Dara's case). So there's a lot to work with religiously. Udrau is more like a figure the Darans came up with to explain so many gods, like a unifying belief.
