Swims stretched out his muscles to let himself relax and yawned before looking back over to Veria. "Unfortunately, there aren't any Daedric Princes trying to destroy Nirn right now, so that might be hard to do. Still, we can work our way up. For now, we can just earn some gold to get some better equipment."

Swims gave a slight smile. "You know, I'm really glad to have you here. We've been finding our own adventures since we were children, so it seems only appropriate that we start our adventuring careers together. With a duo like us, I doubt anything can stand in our way."

She nodded with a smile on her lips."I feel the same, I always loved it when we made our own adventures when we were young but now that we are on our own very first adventure far from home...its exciting" she said looking like she would jump out of her skin any moment from her excitement

Swims laughed. "Yeah, my excitement is only matched by my exhaustion right now. Xuth if that armor isn't heavy. I never thought about how much walking we would have to go through. I might need to exercise a bit more before we head out next time. I feel like I'm slowing you down.

Looking out over the horizon, Swims could see the sun slowly nearing the horizon. It cast a faint orange glow over the horizon which was altogether rather scenic. He glanced back over to Veria and couldn't help but to look over her body quickly before focusing on her eyes. "You know, I think you could do with something like a dagger or shortsword. You have that shield, but I think a good, quick blade would go well with it for close quarters."

She nodded in agreement "But I only trained with a bow and arrow how can I find with a weapon I dont even know how to use" she asked as she looked at the bow right next to her with fondness. She had that bow ever since she turned 13 where she started to train with her with the help of her mother who had experience in using the bow and arrows.She allowed her fingers to go over the weapon humming a smile on her lips. "Sure I would love to use a different weapon incase I need to do so but I never trained with anything else"

"It would probably be best if you kept your distance in a fight, of course, but I think it would be best if you had something to fall back on, just in case. Maybe a dagger or something for close range. Not to mention how useful a dagger can be just for normal tasks. Honestly, I don't understand how humans get by without claws; they are quite useful. Maybe when we get back to Leyawiin, we can use the gold we earn to pay for some training for you to start using short blades. Until then, I guess I can just stay up close, while you support from a distance. That armor I wear does do something more than just exhaust me on a long walk, after all." Swims responded, rolling on his side to look at Veria. He yawned and smiled lightly at her. "I guess we should get to sleep soon. Hopefully, we can find some more food tomorrow."

She nodded yawning her stomach growling since the food she digested wasn't very filling but it was better than nothing. She curled right next to him closing her eyes before opening again half lid "Say can you hold me while we sleep the blankets we got aren't very good for good nights like now and I can get cold without warmth" she said looking over her shoulder at him her face flushed a little in red her heart pounding

"Oh, uh, of course. Right, that makes sense. Yeah, I mean it does get kinda cool at night. I mean, probably not enough to freeze, but pretty uncomfortable. And the fire won't last forever, so yeah, right, I can do that." Swims stammered, caught off-guard by her request. His heart started pounding and he could feel himself getting nervous, but nevertheless, he stoked the fire one last time and gathered up their blankets. Laying down beside her, the threw the blanket over them and put his arms around her, to hold her close. His breathing was erratic and his heart was racing, but he tried to maintain his composure. He just couldn't get over how soft her skin was, unlike his own scales. He had of course felt her skin before, but in this situation, with how close she was, it was...different.

Veria blushed harder and snuggled into her friend's chest not minding the rough scales that covered him. She could feel her heart pound and pound at how close she was to him though this isn't the first time they done this but something about this seemed...different but it wasn't an unwelcome either, not by a long hot but it was still confusing in her mind since she never had such feelings whenever she was close to her childhood friend and she spoke her thoughts out loud "This feeling...what could it possibly be" she said in a loud whisper unaware she spoke it out loud one of her hands on her chest where her heart was pounding making her hand jump which each erratic beat.

Swims heard what Veria said, but he didn't believe it. He must have misheard her, right? There was no way an Imperial like her could be attracted to an Argonian like him, it just wasn't normal. They were too different; his own feelings for her were probably just some fluke, something that wasn't meant to be. He had never seen an Argonian with a Human before, what would his parents think? Did he even care what they thought? Swims' mind was in turmoil from the conflicting thoughts and emotions in his head. He wanted to be with her, but he just didn't think she wanted the same. "What did you say?" He finally asked in a soft voice.

She blinked and looked up at him "Say what I don't recall saying a thing" her face was flushed red and her eyes showed that she was in a turmoil too but there was deep in her eyes the love she secretly held for him even she didn't know she was showing it, she blushed even harder to the point her face looked like a fresh tomato growing in the fields of their hometown. Her hair was spread around her like a black halo and her loose clothing exposed some of the collarbone under it but no too much.

Veria's answer was not all that convincing, but Swims was too nervous to ask about it. "Oh, uh, I thought you said something about a feeling...or something." He said nervously. His heart was pounding hard enough that Veria could probably feel it. He could see that she was redder than usual, but he was too distracted to remember what that meant on a Human. He wanted to say something, anything, to her, but was too afraid to do anything.

She laid her head down on his chest "His heart is pounding like mine..." she said aloud again nuzzling his chest her face didn't go back to its normal color as she listen to his heart beat which was fast just like hers."Swims....do you know what this feeling is at all" she asked nervously looking up at her friend as she laid in his arms ignoring her instincts to get way and cool down.

Swims was silent for what seemed like an eternity upon Veria's question. He knew he hadn't misheard her this time, and by how fast her heart was beating, he had an idea what she was feeling. He looked into her eyes, trying to say something, but finding no words. Everything seemed so unreal, and for a while he had no idea what to do. After a few more moments of looking at her, however, he leaned in and gave her a kiss. Considering that she did not have a long snout like him, it felt different than he expected, but not unpleasant.

"Yes." He finally answered simply.

"Can you tell me what...it is please" she said in a shy voice which was hardly like her since she was always a brave one in many people's eyes, but right now she was very vulnerable to her emotions in the arms of her childhood friend who was in the similar problem. She looked up at him as she waited for his answer her hand never leaving her chest hoping it would calm her heart but it didn't do any good as it as still beating at a rapid race.

"I think...I know, it is love. In it's purest form." Swims responded, trying to sound confident, but terribly afraid on the inside. He could hardly believe what was happening. He did not even know for how long he had wanted it, but right now, there was no question in his mind that it was the right thing. To Oblivion with the rest of the world, as long as she felt the same way, he was going to be with Veria, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop them. With a look of passion and love in his eyes, he caressed her soft cheek with his hand, then gave her another deep kiss. "I love you, Veria."

"I lo love you too Swims" Veria said blushing feeling her lips tingling from the kiss she got from her new lover before leaning in her lips touching his again in a passionate slow kiss enjoying the feeling it was giving her, her arms went around his neck to pull him closer to her even though they were already as close as they can be sleeping in each other arms. She pulled back panting looking up into his eyes her eyes held love and passion for him

Swims awoke when the sun's light met his eyes at dawn. It did not seem to matter that they did not have proper bedrolls when he was allowed the comfort of holding Veria in his arms. After a few minutes, he was finally awake enough to slowly sit up and stretch out his muscles, being careful not to awaken Veria. He wanted to let her sleep for a bit longer, as they would need their energy in order to make any real progress. They did not have any food to eat, no way to get any substantial breakfast, but at least Blankenmarch was not far away. They could likely reach it in the next day or two.

Swims was seated on a nearby rock when Veria finally started to stir. He had not yet dressed himself, though he did not feel any particular pressure to do so with Veria. He felt absolutely comfortable around her, more than with anyone else. "Good morning, my love. It looks like it's going to be a nice, clear day for travel. If we move quickly enough, we might even get to Blankenmarch by nightfall."

"Hmm that would be nice" she said as her stomach growled as if agreeing with her "Perhaps we will find some animal to kill along the way to cook" she said with a giggle standing up not bothering to hide her body from her lover walking over to him giving him a kiss "I had a amazing nice last night" she said with a smile as she wrapped her arms around him rubbing the scales that covered his body which she completely loved.

Swims grinned when Veria stood up, even more so when she hugged him. "Agreed, most definitely agreed. We might be able to catch something, though we'd have to be pretty lucky. for that. Animals are always so good at running and hiding. I guess we should probably try to learn more about tracking. I didn't really think about that being important before; fighting just seemed more practical."

As much as Swims would have loved to repeat last night's events once more, they really did need to get moving quickly. The pair were hungry now, but it wasn't too unbearable. By the next day, however, that would definitely change. Reluctantly, he stood up and pulled away from her. "I suppose we should get going. Even if we can't kill anything, a nice warm dinner awaits us in Blankenmarch." He said, though not before looking her over from head to toe once more and giving her a satisfied grin. He gathered up his clothes and put on the pieces of his armor one by one. As usual, because of how cumbersome his armor was, it took him longer to get ready than Veria, but nevertheless, it wasn't too long before he was ready to move. He put on the backpack that contained his share of their dwindling supplies and looked at her with an almost enthusiastic smile. "So, ready to go?"

(Hmm what would happen when they get there they find the town has been destroyed by something)

She got dressed making sure her bow was in good condition tying it onto her back as well as her arrow bag before nodding "Lets get going the sooner we start the sooner we get there" she said with a smile on her lips as she grabbed his hands allowing him to lead the way towards the town on Blankenmarch, drooling mentally about a warm meal and a warm place to sleep not that she minded sleeping outside
