Noko shrugged, "When I grabbed the forks. I thought I should grab a couple.... Then I thought about how Glay and Ceba and Naroko think we are a couple... But we aren't. However, we are a couple of people. I was just thinking that it was weird that two friends couldn't be a couple without being romantically involved."

She cut into her omelette and took a bite, "It was more just a theoretical question than anything else."

She looked toward the door of her apartment, "I suppose you having stayed here isn't going to debunk their theories of our relationship."

Hoshi kept his eyes on his food as he took small bite, just in case he wanted to say something after she was done talking. She was right though, if any other their teammates would have found out that he stayed the night at her place, he knew very well that he wasn't going to hear the end of it from Noko. "But they won't know about it though, unless they just come through the door."

He shrugged up and looked at her. "Well, I think that people called it a couple, item wise, because they were together, and when moving that sense of the word to humans, 'together' would usually mean romantically involved. Let them have their suspicions, it's not hurting anyone as of now, and if it actually happens, it happens." Hoshi shrugged again and glanced over to the door.

Noko bite into a piece of her omelette as he explained his theory. She nodded her head, "I suppose..." She placed her fork down on her empty plate, "You know... I don't think normal friends talk so nonchalantly about the possibility of being a couple. Nor do I think they do half the things we do...." she smiled at him as she picked up her plate, "I suppose we are just lucky..."

She walked into the kitchen and quickly washed her plate before she started to clean up. She winced at one point while washing one of the pots and had to end up lying it in the sink while she washed it with her left hand. She sighed, "You know... The pain from moving my arm is starting to get really old..."

Hoshi hummed a light "Hmm?" As he heard her starting off, and took that she said to deep thought as she continued. It was odd how they did so many things that a couple would do, but just saw each other as friends, but that's all they were and he was fine with that no matter what they did together. "I guess we are." He shrugged again as he finished his plate and looked up to Noko who was now at the sink and washing her plate with a little pain.

He stood up, grabbed his plate, and walked over next to her and smiled a little. "I got this, it your arm is giving you pain, then you should probably relax it." He stood next to her with his plate in his hands and watched as she washed hers. He had no problem with letting her do her own dishes, they were hers after all, but he still wanted to repay her for letting him stay.

Noko looked up at him and put the washed dish onto her drying rack. She sighed and stepped back, allowing him to use the sink, "I wasn't asking for that you know..."

She looked at him and nodded, "Thank you..." She leaned against the counter and watched as he started to clean his dish. She sighed, "I feel awfully useless when I can't even use my arm."

She rubbed the bridge of her nose and walked into the living room. She smiled at him, "Do you want to play cards when you are done?" she looked at him, "Oh you only have to clean your plate. I'll clean everything else when my side isn't as sore.... I mean you already cooked breakfast... I think you've made up for staying the night."

"Are you sure?" He asked her, still feeling the need to do something in order to pay her back. "I could still clean if you want me too.." She had already said that he had done enough, but he still wanted to do something while he was there with her. Playing cards sounded fun, and Naroko had tough him a few different tricks and games that involved cards some time ago.

He cleaned his plate up and looked over at Noko, leaning over the sink just a little. "Alright, playing cards sounds, fun. Have anything in mind at the moment?" He pushed himself off of the counter and walked over to the living room and next to her

Noko nodded, "Of course, I'll be fine to do it myself once the pain fades away a bit."

She grabbed her cards from a drawer and walked back to the couch. She sat down, leaning against the arm slightly, allowing her side to relax. She smiled Hoshi while she shuffled the cards, "We could play war... Or Crazy Eights.... Or Go Fish..."

She kept shuffling the cards as she thought, "Do you have any ideas?"

Hoshi shrugged once more sitting down. He didn't know what to play, or why he actually wanted to play, but he wanted to do something. He thought in silence for a moment to think over the possibilities. They could always just build a house of cards; it was time consuming and took focus, which meant they would be there for a little while before they either finished it or gave up, but he knew that even he wouldn't have the patience for something so fragile and delicate.

"Not a clue..." He muttered as he continued to think. "You can pick, I don't really know what we should play.." He was getting lost in thought, but the more he thought the more lost he became and for the weirdest reasons. He wasn't really thinking about anything at that point and was just sitting there, with a look of pure thought on his face and a blank mind to go with it.

Noko thought about it then started to deal the deck between them, "War takes forever to finish... But it is lots of fun. And it can kill sometime."

She quickly finished off dealing and gathered her half of the deck into her hands. She made into a next pile then leaned forward. She smiled, "Are you ready? 1, 2-"

Her count down was interrupted by her door opening and Glaysten and Ceba walking in. Her eyes widened. Glay's eyes held her's as he smiled, "Good to see you are still here, Noko."

He looked at Ceba when he nudged his arm only to finding him pointing. Following his point, he looked at Hoshi. He blinked a few times, "H-Hoshi... What are you doing here?" He glanced at the clock, "It is awfully early... When did you get here?"

Noko's cheeks were on fire and Ceba was grinning like a mad man as he watched her. He couldn't have pictured it better in his own head.

"I-I.... Um...." Hoshi couldn't speak at all, and stammered with any words that he tried to form. His cheeks were on fire from not only being caught by Ceba and Glaysten, but also for being put on the stop because of it. He took a deep breath, and attempted to speak again. He first had to explain when exactly he got there, and also why he was there. "I... D-dropped by last night to Keep Noko company while she was here... I-It was far to late to walk home so She said I could... Stay the night... I made breakfast and everything for the two of us earlier..." He still had some trouble speaking while he was being confronted like this, and could only imagine what the two of them were thinking about the whole scenario.

Ceba was trying to stifle his laughter as he stood next to Glaysten. He looked at Hoshi, "You stayed the night and kept Noko company."

Noko looked at him and glared, "You know full well what he meant. It was late when he got here. He was practically falling asleep before he left and I wasn't going to let him go home."

Ceba shook his head, "You fell asleep, Hoshi.. man, you aren't very good... company."

Noko buried her face in her hands and Glaysten turned to Ceba. He glared him, "Out, Ceba."

The taller man nodded, "Fine. But I'm going to go tell his buddies. This is a hoot and a half."

Noko sighed and looked at Hoshi. She mouthed 'sorry' to him before Glay turned his attention back to them. He nodded his head, "The two of you are..."

"Playing cards... He is making sure I rest my side well. But he is also making sure I don't die of boredom," Noko said blandly. Glaysten laughed and nodded.

Hoshi wasn't sure what Glaysten was about the say, but he was more than thankful that Noko had said something and kept him from continuing. Although, now he wasn't worried about just Ceba and Glaysten, but also his own teammates as well. He didn't know Ceba all that well, but he knew that he was going to do what he said and tell Bo and Naroko all about it.

Hoshi turned back to look at Noko and looked at the cards. "Well, let's play, and after we finish up I think I'll head home." He nodded at her and looked down at the cards once more, quickly reminding himself how to play War. He wasn't the most familiar with the game, but he knew it well enough to remember how to play when he needed to, and was glad that it was one of the card games he learned from Naroko.

Noko nodded when he said that he would head home after the game of War. She nodded and sighed a little. Stupid Ceba and Glaysten. If the two of them hadn't stuck their noses in and bugged them, maybe Hoshi would want to stay. Luckily for her, War was an awfully long game. They started to play it and laughed, cursing each other for stealing high numbered cards or whining for stealing low cards with high ones. She looked up at Hoshi after a little bit a smiled, "Thanks for levitating me of my boredom for a bit... I appreciate it.... Also thanks for worrying.... But not being overbearing, I suppose," She laughed a little, "I'm not fully used to that..."

They kept playing until Hoshi held 52 cards in his hands. She smiled and nodded, "Once you had all four aces... I knew I didn't have a chance."

She glanced at the door and back to him, slightly saddened, "So... You are leaving now... right?"

He had a great time staying with Noko, and not only took care of her boredom, but his as well. He didn't know what he was going to do when he left to he was more than glad he could postpone those thoughts until later. He was also a little sad that he was leaving, but as much as he would have liked to stay forever, he knew he had to head home and take care of things like a shower and clean clothes. He nodded and glance at the door, then back to Noko. "I'll be back soon, don't worry about it." He leaned towards her and put a hand on her shoulder, looking at her with a calm and relaxed smile like he always does.

Noko sighed and nodded when he said he'd be back soon. She was slightly surprised when he placed his hand on her shoulder while leaning in close. Her eyes were slightly wide as she looked him. She smiled at him, "Well you may find me dead from my own boredom."

She laughed a little and stood, "I suppose it is fine... I'll see you around then, right?"

Hoshi's hand moved from it's spot on her shoulder and kept his eyes on her as she rose from her seat on the couch. He stood next to her only seconds after she stood and glanced at the door once more, taking a step away from her and eventually turning fully to walk to the door. He nodded to her question as he put his hand on the door knob and smiled. "Yeah, I'll come back around soon." And with that he pulled on the door and left her apartment.

He walked down the stairs that lead to the ground floor and stepped outside and into the cold. He set up a little fire to himself, waking back home. He had planned to just take it easy, but when Ceba had said that he'd tell his teammates, Hoshi didn't know that they were planning on talking to him about the whole situation when he got to his home.
