Saying "i don't like god" might have been the wrong thing to say. Atheists lack the belief in god so how can we hate something we don't believe in? Also it might have been better to ease them into the idea first...

Some argument against Christians and Atheiests
I'm just sitting back ,watching, with my popcorn. (personally I'm a Christian, but I don't have any problems with Athiesm, as long as they don't go up to me and start trying to dsiporve my religion, I'm fine)

I never said I would bash on Christians, and as long as my parents are there I will be going to church, but I don't have any proof of God, and I have my own opinion on the matter.

It's kind of dumb for your parents to force feed you their religion. Lmao what if you said you wanted to be Muslim? Would they burn you at the stake?
Oh and vortex to answer your question about why people think you are evil try looking at how you talk. you put down religion. For some it is the only thing that grounds them to living. Which may be a weak trait to rely on something or someone to live but why would you take that away from them? If that is what they need then whatever. Do I think a lot of the religious rules are BS? Sure, and do I think they should force their beliefs onto others and put people down for not believing or even scaring or terrorizing people for going against their faith? Hell no. but you putting someone down who has some sort of faith in some higher being down makes you no better. That is why they think you are evil. I believe in what I want to hell I'll believe in the Jedi code if I want to, But I wont put others down for their beliefs. I think it is great that you have such a great trust in science and know enough to make a well organized argument, but why take the energy to attack someone for no reason? did anyone call you a dirty atheist? I just don't understand where the whole "we dont believe in their personal sky daddy" came from. It isn't necessary to prove your point. You can make an argument and not be nasty about it.

Putting down religion where? When? I haven't heard of this. Correction: I have but when we do it because religion is putting down The LGBT community, ethnic minorities or others. We ask them how can you defend a faith that supports this? How can your god be so god when he tells you to do this? If this is the only thing that is keeping them alive then i deeply recommend a psychiatrist and some professional aid. What you have to realise is that we are not putting down them for following that religion but we are criticising the religion itself and what it teaches.

I already explained why i think they think we are evil but thats your opinion so whatever.

Its not like i go out of my way to deeply wound them, that is not my purpose nor do i think its any atheists. The purpose is to hopefully make them open their mind. And yes i have been called a dirty atheist before but i just laughed at them in return.

The "sky daddy" comment was supposed to add some light hearted humour to my argument. I mean thats how i see him, a fatherly figure who created us, guiding us, helping us, loving us, punishing us and ALWAYS watching us. It was not supposed to be nasty so i apologise if it offended.

Just because there are people that bash others doesn't make the religion bad. If you read my post you would have heard me say I don't agree with that nor did I say that the people that seek hope in religion are the ones bashing others. You clearly have a problem with those people so quit using them as a general consensus for religious people. It is man that makes religion ugly by fighting over their different beliefs. You also put me down for saying it is nice to have faith in something with your text book definition. You asked why people look at you as evil and i gave you an answer you didn't like. You sit there and act so innocent but you aren't. You say you have no problems with people with religious beliefs and yet you did in fact put the religion down by saying how you throw some scientific words around and put religious people in their place. You are no better then them. You were making those remarks before anything was said about you or being and atheist. The way you said "sky daddy" is insulting regardless of how you meant it. I am done taking about this though because like I said earlier I don't agree 100% with a lot of many religious rules but I'm not going to sit there and publicly attack a religious belief. I'm fine with Atheist and have still yet to say anything to put your beliefs down or mock them. Don't blame everyone for shit a group of people did.
