Austria must have gotten awesome rolls and/or the 'Ussias must have gotten poor rolls. 1 million vs. 400,000. Really?

In their defence (Ha see what I did there), they had the Carpathian mountains as allies.

So, where are Austria's German allies? Are they just leaving him out to dry?

Outcast represented them with additional reserves and population. IRL they more or less predicted annexation by one side or the other and so didn't feel like sending armies.

I assumed that for simplicity's sake, my allies were fighting Prussia's allies, and supporting our respective war efforts with soldiers/supplies.

No use over-complicating this by detailing Bavaria attacking Prussia or Saxony attacking Austria.

I feel so sad for glorious Rus. They have been fully blockaded and have lost the tsar's gem city in the Far East... I'll feel better once I see more of the motherland's enemies lying dead in the dust.

I don't imagine they can do a whole lot more in the far east unless they plan on killing themselves marching through Siberia.

Edit: By they I mean China and Japan.

Russia's putting a lot into a war that it doesn't actually have a whole lot to gain from.

Since we like complaining about things being unrealistic, it seems really weird that Russia dedicated the entirety of its forces to helping Prussia form Germany, so much so that it's probably going to default on its debt, is totally blockaded, its navy totally beaten, and is fighting a war on three separate fronts.

I don't think we should start going down this road again. As no matter what Russia is currently doing it is nothing comparable to the one that will eventually be brought up should this topic continue.

I was under the impression that Russia would gain land in Europe and possibly elsewhere. Even then it would be debatable whether the price was worth it, but still.

What could Russia take? Galicia? Romania? I don't think some relatively poor areas with lots of minorities is worth defaulting on his debt.

If I was Russia, I would have just stuck to myself and let the rest of Europe sort out its own business while I slowly industrialized and improved my economy.

If I really wanted to get involved in European affairs, I would have done the opposite of what Russia is doing and align with France to stop Prussia from founding Germany. Then, when I won against Prussia, I would have taken Polish land and established a larger Congress Poland to put between the rest of Europe and me while, again, I spent the rest of the game industrializing and trying to catch up to Western Europe.

From an objective standpoint. Though, I like how you didn't say I was wrong.

The Quadruple Entente*
Troops Remaining: 2,405,597
Casualties: 4% (0.38% regulars, 7.88% conscripts)

The Eighth Coalition
Troops Remaining: 2,668,672
Casualties: 7.15% (1.75% regulars, 10.05% conscripts)
*Qing, Japan, and Mexico were not added because their numbers would skew results. For instance, with only Qing and Japan added, the results would be as follows:
The Quadruple Entente
Troops Remaining: 4,632,297
Casualties: 2.78% (0.31% regulars, 4.22% conscripts)

That actually sounds like the policy of a current ingame nation. I wonder who.
