Rissi gave another growl, her attention fixated on her target. Hefting another bomb, she threw it directly into the boss's face, blowing him to small bits. Anything else hit was collateral damage. Unfortunately, in her zeal, Roan was within the blast. Unfortunately for him, in her current state, it would have been difficult for her to have notice too much. She did, however, delight in the raining bits or goblin gore.

The bomb seemed to move in slow motion as the Commando seemed to watch it for what felt like an eternity to it. It seemed rather unfair really. No more fire to wave about and admire, no more food to eat, no more wonderful songs to sing and worst of all...

"Me only regret... no more dogs to kill..."

The flask hit the commando dead center in it's forehead as it and the commando's head exploded in a force that spread out, it's disgusting bits going all over the place. The goblin dog, in it's haste to attack Roan didn't see the explosion come either as shards of glass and raging fire deciamted it;s body to a rather pathetic whine to die on the ground.

The only problem that remained was... Roan too was caught in the blast!

Roan's Fortitude Save
Roan's Reflex Save

The blast hits Roan superficially mostly as the heat and force pushed him back to hit the ground hard with a few shard to pierce his skin. He had cuts over his body and several burns had formed over his skin, yet it looks like it was no where near as bad as it could have been. Never the less, the wounds were too great for the man as he was knocked unconscious and lay helpless on the ground.

The final explosion that torn apart his leader left the lone goblin by Silver react with shock. It started backing away a few steps as it dropped it's jagged blade onto the ground.

"Me give up! Me give up!"

Apparently not wanting to see if the longshanks would accept his surrender, the goblin tuned and fled back into town, though might not have much luck running there as well.

When the battle was finally over, the young Aldern rose from behind the barrel with hesitation and nervous energy coursing through his veins. Though the danger had passed, the man looked as if he'd crumble at any second from just a harsh wind. Yet in an instant as his eyes fell upon silver, his demeanor changed to one of proud confidence as his stature seemed to actually fit one of his station. With a puffed out chest, he strolled up to Silver and gave a humble bow.

"My dear! I must say you and your companions fought valiantly! Surely one of your grace and skill must be nobleborn, after all such beauty could possibly not be common."

Without even asking for permission, he took her hand and bent down slightly to give the back of it a kiss from his lips before turning towards everyone else, although his gaze still turned left and right in anxiety as if he expected a goblin to pop out at any second.

"As for the rest of you, I must offer all the chance to reward you properly for saving my life! I'll be staying at the Rusty Dragon for a few more days so don't hesitate to call on me!"

Weather he had things to attend to or just wished for a safer place to be, he turned around and hurried towards the center of town.

Yobi ran over to Roan. She didn't care so much about a reward when a random stranger she respected was bleeding so badly. "I know it's not my place to heal you. I'm really bad at this sort of thing, honestly, but...can't leave you here, right? So...I hope you don't mind me touching you!" She attempts to heal him with whatever logical materials are within reach (19)

Sadly, the only thing close enough that was usable and not covered in goblin gore was a piece of her own clothing as she tore off her sleeves and proceeded to wrap them tightly around what parts were bleeding badly.

Silver watched as the last bits of the battle sparked out like a dying flame. The goblin she had been fighting had ran away it utter terror as a bomb went off behind Silver, killing off the last of the remaining battle. Silver didn’t believe the goblin would cause more problems, now that it had seen its friend getting blown to goblin bits and torn apart across the battlefield. She decided that it would be best to let the creature run and she was in no mood for a chase. She let deep breath escape her lips, tickling the tip of her nose with warm air. She stood straight, confident and tall with her shoulders relaxed back, although she hadn’t particularly done anything to deserve the victory.

She glancing across to everyone she could see and then turned her attention towards the man who was approaching her. He seemed a pompous and stuffy gentleman, clearly a nobleman or of some higher birth. He seemed quite nervous about the situation, but any normal person would be after coming to near death. That was one of the many things that separated adventurous, most seemed to lack the fear of impending death, some even embraced it. It was the most thrilling part of a fight.

Silver was slightly disturbed at the young mans idealistics of commoners and nobles, but she was too surprised by his compliments to oppose to it. She loved being flattered and it raised her spirits a bit about her weak fight. His hand had taken hold of hers before she could reject and kissed the back of it. It made her slightly uncomfortable, but it was not something that was uncommon for her. She disliked it when others treated her as if she was better because she had been raised into a higher birth, but the man seemed naive. She doubted anything she said on her thoughts would benefit her later.

She curtsied as she had been taught to do and spoke kindly to the man with gentle words. “I am flattered by your kind words, Sir. I am indeed not as common as one might think.” She spoke smoothly, her words light hearted. Her words were filled with trickery, but she had told no lies. She would prefer to be on the mans good side, if she ever needed the help. Someone of a higher status could be helpful to have on her side, since she was planning to stay and see what her dreams granted her. Perhaps, this fight was what her goddesses had planned for her, but she wasn’t certain that that was it.

She watched as the man addressed the rest of the group and left. Silver surveyed the part of the group that she could see from where she stood. She remained silent for the moment, waiting for what was to come. She hoped to get a moment of rest before she dealt with more attacks, but there always seemed to be problems to deal with. As well as the town would be dealing with many injuries from the attack, it was likely that her help would be needed.

Yobi sighed as she tore off a bit of her clothing. With a little effort, she got him all bandaged up. She would have liked the ability to heal him a little more completely, but she didn't. The fact that she managed to help him, though, was a big boost in confidence. Maybe Desna just didn't want her fighting. If that was the case, she'd just have to try not to do so in the future...if at all possible.

"I know you're all kind of busy, but...he kind of needs some help here. I've at least stopped the bleeding, but I can't do any better than that." She stood up and looked at the others. The one looked like he might have some herbs or something to make the pain a little more bearable, but that didn't mean much. The rat-lady might, but in her current state, there was no way she was going to be able to do anything useful. The only one left was the timid girl who was talking to Aldern. She probably couldn't do anything useful. She was too...clean. But there was a chance. She did summon fog earlier, so she did have some magic. With any luck, she may be able to do some healing.

"You look like you might be able to. He's looking kind of...hurt. A bit. Like...on the ground, not moving. Much, at least. Not that I saw. Any chance you've got a potion or spell that could help him? Or some kind of divine intervention type deal?"

Rissi came down a bit from her bloodlust, just in time to realize she had partially blown up her ally. Her mind was foggier than normal, but she still felt bad about it. Bad enough to want to find a way to fix that part of her bombs. Even so, she had no means to do so yet. Yobi helped the man stop bleeding, but she called for some help. Rissi, slowly shuffled over and knelt down, her voice partially a growl from the feral mutagen. "I can brew something for him...least I can do...tunnel vision." She pulled out her kit and then a tome of her formulae. She flipped through quickly to her cure formula and sighed softly as she began her mixing. "First battle. Not used to bloodlust. Mutagen made it worse..." Anyone with any knowledge of rodents would realize that her more hunched position and the shaking in her hands signalled extreme, intense nervousness and could easily extrapolate that she was feeling guilty for letting herself get lost in battle.

Standing over the freshly slain goblin, Dhalgren released one of his hands from the haft of his halberd to hang down at his side. The raw smell of goblin bile rising from the various slain corpses about the area had already begun to waft through the air in a sickening stench. Turning back to help Roan with the leader, he came about in time to see a bomb lobbed by Rissi explode right on the goblin leader, scattering a gory mist of chunks about. He watched as the blast partially enveloped Roan, scattering him with various shrapnel and gore, blowing him back off his feet. Wondering what the hell was in the ratfolks mind when she threw that bomb, he stood inactive for a few minutes not quite sure what to do.

From the side, he heard the grating voice of the last remaining goblin shrieking something as it ran off. With a sigh of breath, he jogged up to stand next to the foxlady as she worked a crude bandage around the ranger fellow. He stood, not really able to contribute any more than what was already being done. He wasn't really listening to the noble fellow they just saved, instead his attention was toward Roan and his condition.

“Nobody is, or knows a healer?” He asked no-one in particular, not sure what to do really. He stood quietly as the fox-lady addressed the rat-folk, asking fro some sort of healing elixir or something. He eyed the ratfolk suspiciously for a moment. “You sure you can help? Since this situation seems to be your fault.” He commented.

Silver snapped into a level of focus when she realized that the group was looking for a healer. It was the one thing that she could do perfectly. She hadn’t realised that someone was injured by the blast, but she should have expected for such a thing to happen. She could do something useful, even if the fact that there was an injury was a terrible thing. “I can heal.” She spoke simply, with little hint of flare in her words. She moved swiftly towards the rest of the group where she had seen others move towards. Her movements were gentle and concentrated as she the injured man came into view. Her expression wavered as she spotted the man. She hadn’t been able to see him from where she had been standing a moment ago.

Silver moved hastily towards the man, crouching down on her knees when she got closer to him. She began to cast, hoping that she could heal him to the best of her abilities. She concentrated all of her energy into casting, muttering her prayers as she cast. Perhaps her goddesses would give her the luck to help him.

When she finished she sat down next to him for a moment, waiting to see how he would end up. She watched and waited to see how he was, but addressed the group as a whole. “I must apologize. I can not see very well.” She spoke clearly, her voice crisp and clean. Silver had come to terms with her sight years ago. There was no way to fix it, so she came to terms with her oddity.

Roan regained consciousness amidst the dirtiness of the street, circled by the same strangers he had fought with against the goblins. Barring the girl knelt near him and the ratfolk who was doing who-knows-what; they seemed pretty content on standing around doing nothing. With an audible groan, Roan turned to look at the state of his own body. From what he could gather, despite the presence of some rather crude bandages, his body was severely wounded and covered in a strange substance he hoped was just his blood mixed with the goblin’s dog drool. Not that that was a good prospect. Seems I’m not dead yet. How delightful.

From his position he could see the sun shining brightly in the sky as if in mockery of his current situation, and concluded that he had been out cold for a small amount of time, probably less than ten minutes. But then why does it feels like I’ve been unconscious for weeks?Doing his best to ignore the aching all over his body and his confusion, the ranger stood up to grab his weapon and the rest of his belongings from the ground. While he did so, he turned to the girl knelt near him and said, with a dismissive tone “No need to pray for my soul or whatever, these goblins wouldn’t be enough to kill me.”

Of course, this wouldn’t have happened if the people around him had dealt with the lesser goblins so he could have dealt with the leader. Really, had he knew how bad they were on the whole goblin slaying part he wouldn’t have rushed to defeat the leader and get knocked out by surprise from a bunch of moronic goblins. That’s what you get for expecting too much of people. Heh, thought I had learned this lesson.
At least they did defeat them, if the remains of the dog and its rider a few meters away said anything. Though how much that was an accomplishment instead of a proof they weren’t completely incompetent was debatable. “I gather there are no more goblins around?” He asked looking at the armored man, all the while he busied himself thinking about what his next move would be. With his search of the Sandpoint Devil fruitless and the sorry state he was in, it would be idiotic for him to return to the woods around the town.

At the same time as he listened to whatever response he got from his question, if there was any, Roan knelt near the remains of the goblins leader and its mount. With a neutral expression on his face, he searched both creatures’ bodies for any item of value or that could at least answer why the goblins were attacking the town, who knows maybe such information could fetch a nice price. His coin purse surely could be weightier. More so if he had to pass a night on an inn. Wait, with this whole damn festival around, would there be a vacant place somewhere? Well, with any luck maybe the goblins managed to kill someone, leaving a place for me to stay the night.

Occupied on his investigation, he gave a side glance to the other two he hadn’t spoken with and, convinced it wouldn’t be wise to interrupt the ratfolk, he started to speak towards the girl covered in fur.“I see you are still pretending to be a fox, huh. I’ve seen a few magic tricks in my life, but this one has to be the most useless one yet.” He stopped his speech for a moment as he went to search the other body. “Did you expect the goblins would leave you alone or something because of that? I could understand if it was a dragon or something like that, but a fox? Really? ”

"I'm not pretending to be a fox. This is me. I pretend to be a human, just like you." She smiled, then whispered, "...just like you..." The thought of changing to look as close to him in appearance as she could crossed her mind, just to mock him, but dismissed it. He wasn't worth the effort. "But you are already wearing some of my clothes, so I suppose it's just that you're pretending to be a manly human?" Her smile stayed, and she was genuinely joking, but she did kind of want to stab him in the back. She shifted back to looking human before continuing.

"So, you, Aldern." She held up one of her hands, but didn't say anything about it. "While helping you is good and all, any chance you could tell us all how good? I don't expect a lot, what with your money probably going to shops or games. If you have any at all. But certainly it's more than what the goblins had, and you're a lot cleaner than them. Oh. You're not here. Right. Anyone up for a trip to the Rusty Dragon?"

Rissi got her mixture finished and then put away her supplies before walking over to Roan, holding the vial out. "Healing mix. Drink it. Don't remove my hand from it or it will go inert. Should get you up to near peak capacity again if not to full capacity. Anything good in the gore bits?" Her final statement was made with a bit of dark humor added; her attempt at trying to not make it any more tense than needed. "And before you mention anything, I am really a humanoid rat. Possibly one of the only ones here since my previous warren is rather xenophobic."

Feeling fairly useless in the situation, Dhalgren felt somewhat gladdened that the noble lady from their party knew some sort of healing, and he watched idly as she muttered some sort of spell or prayer or whatever. Either way, it seemed to take affect and work, as the battered man seemed to be in somewhat a better condition, at least to Dhalgrens eyes. He was somewhat baffled at the words of the lady though, as she said her vision wasn't all that good. Which had him slightly perplexed as he was sure she used a ranged weapon. Dhaglren's attention was brought back to the man laying on the ground as he heard a rough groan escape from his lips.

Seeing the man stand up Dhaglren was able to take a better look at him, as he gathered his weapon and belongings. Reminded that he was still a javelin short, Dhalgren turned slightly to look over to the direction he remembered throwing it last, before he was asked a question by the ranger fellow about if there was any goblins left. “Not in the immediate area, for now at least.” he replied.

He watched as he conversed with the foxlike person of the group, and he idly though on the price one could fetch for one of her tails on the market. Either way, he had a javelin to retrieve, so he walked slightly away from the group, looking for the thrown javelin amidst a pile of debris north of the last goblin he slayed.
