While studying an alien race was exciting, Sayomi was certainly worried about having a potential super-villain walking around and being destructive. The biggest interest was certainly the power of transformation, something Saiyans took pride in themselves, but upon seeing T’charrl again she was sure the Kaesstrian race was capable of many different forms without much dependence on emotion or outside influences like the moon. They were an untapped race that relied on energy for power and that much was evident when their planet was a no-go for space travellers with technology because of that energy, “The reason it’s probably affecting him more is he’s away from the natural energies of his homeland, absorbing a whole new destructive and foreign type of energy”, she spoke calmly, readying her computer, “As it stands, it is definitely something you should or someone else keep an eye on. I wouldn’t leave him alone if I was you and if you do any tests…do keep them for me. Unregistered aliens are hard to come by”.

For the Beastman problem, Sayomi couldn’t take too much concern into it quite yet until she discovered the truth. She needed to be patient and Vegeta should know he has to be too if they were going to find answers. Watching him take out his computer, she frowned a little at his reasoning to take it, “Hmm, don’t you trust the data I have on Viral?” she questioned him, pulling a thin cable out from her computer, “Or do you have something else in mind, like possible changes…” Moving closer to Vegeta, she took hold of the side of his computer before sticking the gummy-like end of the cable on it. Strangely enough, data was soon passing through the cable and into the computer with the press of a few commands. Despite the technological differences the software matched and was able to successfully send, “I don’t think I have the heart to tell Korian about this…how everything may just be a whole lot tougher. We’ve never had to deal with artificial creations beyond robots and cyborgs before…and your Beastman friend”.

Shu wanted to understand, but he found it impossible to when he didn’t know how any of this would help during battle. He should have been able to try and join in, but it was completely over his head and there was nothing he understood very well. He didn’t want people to get hurt whether they were trained or not, but in denying them they may never find peace. Letting out a sigh he lowered his head a little, frowning slightly as he stared up at Takeshi, “I do like friends, but I hope they don’t get hurt or don’t want to fight…that would be bad”, he sighed, shaking his head a little, “It would be nice to go back to the planets, though…”

Viral was finding it hard to stand up for what he believed in, especially with all these offers for greater things that could only give him some sort of purpose. He didn’t believe for a second that these people should fight in this war or having to do Korian’s dirty work, especially when the guy seemed perfectly capable of doing it himself and bringing forward the true warriors and not just fans. When Takeshi once again tried to make this out to be an okay thing, he frowned at his reasoning, “And I know what you want to do now is to throw these people at the Saiyans and hope it might weaken their defences…what we have to do is look for their weaknesses first and I still don’t think throwing soldiers at them will help”.

Viral knew Takeshi wouldn’t like the whole training process, especially when he should be training himself. His brother was probably the least trained and all you could do with him was throw him at a crowd and hope he transformed while hoping he wouldn’t massacre them by accident. There wasn’t much technique in the kid at all and Takeshi had been completely forgetting his brother existed on the battlefield, that or he ignored him completely and just amused him instead. Growling lowly, he stared at Takeshi and shook his head, “Picking up soldiers and training them isn’t even close to a battle plan! What I would do is split the fleets up and weaken them down…not just charge straight at the palace!” Korian should know the best way to do this too, but Takeshi clearly didn’t have a clue about battle plans and was more concerned with throwing everything at the King and hope it would wear him down, “If a whole planet managed to fall to the might of probably one or two Elites then what makes you think they’ll be worthy? Those Kaesstrians only know how to fight each other and those beasts on Pagonia are hard enough to find in all that ice…yeah, I’m willing to fight, but I’m also willing to die and who says they will be willing to as well? I guess you’ll have to find out yourself and just how tough Elites are to bring these worlds to their knees”.

"If that's the case bringing him home might be our best option. The only issue with that is no one there can handle him if he goes berserk..." Evidently a lot more research had to be done into how Kaesstrians worked. Vegeta knew he had been lacking in that regard, much too focused on trying to sort out Viral as of late. Splitting up his focus wasn't all that appealing, if only because he worried how well he might work when juggling them both. "I don't quite trust very many others with something like this. Yumi perhaps, she tends to have a knack for calming people down it seems. Always has, one of those people with a gentle touch, oddly enough. I certainly don't trust either of the boys to watch over him, or any of their friends for that matter." Considering how busy Yumi was as of late with Choi it fell to him then to keep an eye on T'charrl. Fishing his own computer from his pocket Vegeta booted the software up, offering it out to Sayomi. "You certainly have an odd obsession with aliens, don't you? I suppose I've no room to talk, my own love is technology," he mused, smiling as he glanced at the computer. Both scientists but with their own little quirks.

Vegeta proved his own point about being more concerned with Viral by asking for the data on him. The notion of Beastmen being let out and about was more troublesome than some potential berserk alien. T'charrl could be handled, he had been before a few times already. Strangers turned into Beastmen who risked rampancy? That was not something he had any desire to face in battle. "I trust your information, but what I have is a bit more comprehensive than what you have. If I can find any links between our data I might even be able to highlight some discrepancies, find out how we can counter this." It was pure speculation at this point but Vegeta had a theory in mind; Would changing Beastmen back to normal be possible? They were altered due to an introduction of new genes, so what happened if those genes were extracted or shut off? As the data was being transferred the Saiyan glanced towards the bridge thoughtfully, wondering if they were all still going at it inside. "You should tell him, just in the event we have to face them in a fight," Vegeta replied, looking back at Sayomi. "I would imagine he'd feel worse if you sent troops in and they were beaten by an enemy he didn't know about."

No surprise that Shu was against the idea, he was pretty well opposed to violence for the most part after all. He was really not going to like this battle then, there was going to be an awful lot of chaos through it all. Takeshi wasn't too certain if he was truly cut out for it or not either. He had been in large scale fights before, sure, but nothing where the stakes were quite this high. Was this nervousness or excitement he was feeling now? "We'll keep people safe Shu, just like we always have tried to. Just because they're going to fight with us doesn't mean we can't protect them like before." It was hard to convince Shu of anything with Viral being so pessimistic, even if it wasn't unfounded. No one present was completely vested in this plan but at least they were gradually coming to the agreement that it was necessary. "I don't want to just send these people to their deaths Viral, I want to fight with them," Takeshi answered impatiently, frowning at the Beastman. Why was he making it sound like he didn't care about these people? They had already saved them once, wasn't that indicative enough?

"We'll come up with a plan then! We're obviously not going to just try going through the front door, so relax! We'll figure something out!" Now Takeshi was getting all angry again, he was really sick of Viral making him sound heartless. He'd already said it, he wasn't fond of this idea to begin with. While he might not have some extravagant plan in mind he didn't have to think of one, that wasn't his job. Ultimately all Takeshi really cared about was getting to fight and beat his father and make him pay for what he had done. If they had to get some help to accomplish that then fine, they'd do it. If he personally had to keep an eye on the new recruits then he'd do that too. In fact... "If it makes you feel better then have me keep an eye on the new troops! I'll lead them into fights and I'll protect them, how's that? If people don't want to fight then they don't have to, but those that come with us I'll protect with my life if I have to!"

Korian had just about enough of this back and forth bickering, they were making no progress. Viral's largest concern sounded to be strategy at the present, so perhaps shedding some light on their plans might help alleviate that. "Viral? We've already got one or two plans of attack in mind, perhaps you'd like to discuss them with me? I could use the input of another commander." As far as Takeshi went the boy most certainly would just charge right in, even if he said he wouldn't. The boy was much too aggressive and too quick to act, it had always been his problem. In a small battle sure, it might work fine, but not here. If they ran headlong into the enemy they'd be decimated. It didn't help matters either that the primary engagement would be all through their ships, meaning no one would actually fight personally. That would be the riskiest part, as a damaged or disabled ship meant death in the vacuum of space. "Come with me, I'll let you take a look over this, maybe you can offer some advice or point out flaws," Korian added, gesturing before walking back to his console before. "Bring up contingencies Alpha and Zulu, please."

Sayomi frowned slightly at Vegeta’s answer to his alien problems, not seeing it as the best solution of the matter, “That would be cruel. Letting him get started with his problems only to dump him? Even we wouldn’t do that to a mutant”, she spoke, not finding it very friendly at all. She cared for others who appeared to struggle on their own, hoping to help them and bring them peace or improve their lifestyles. It was a challenge that she’d gladly accept, especially when she hated to be left without a hobby. Vegeta seemed to be very much the same, finding his own company too untrustworthy to take care of this problem, “You’ll do fine. If you trust him, you’ll make progress and have a powerful ally on your side”, she spoke, finding his next statement to be a little reminiscing, “Hmm, I used to read up on all sorts of aliens…about their anatomy, their culture, learning their languages…their strengths and weaknesses…of course, it gave me an edge in battle too. A strong mind makes for a stronger body and I am one of the most powerful out there. If I survive the felling of the King, I’d love to explore the galaxy”.

The biggest problem Sayomi saw when it came to the Beastmen was not only them being potentially great warriors, but they would become cannon fodder themselves and thrown into battle just for the sake of thinning out their forces. The King could make more Beastmen if he so wanted, so it wasn’t as if he would be risking losing numbers. Disconnecting the cable once the transfer was done, she looked to the door again with things becoming a little heated from the sounds of it, definitely finding it to not be the most encouraging sound she could hear. Frowning a little, she looked back to Vegeta again, “Well, if you can that would be one big step forward. You may also risk your friend finding out you’re doing this, though”, she spoke, sighing, “Finding out your colleague is researching a way to potentially undo your genetic makeup must be terrifying”. Finding the logic behind telling Korian pretty weak, she let out a sigh and straightened herself out, “Hmmm I guess. I’m much more worried about him treating them differently and assuming they’re suffering”, she spoke, looking to the door, “And if these are instead completely artificial Beastmen, he may choose to wipe them out completely because they will be a threat without morals. What do you think of that? The possibility of a whole new artificial race…must make the King feel like a god”.

Viral didn’t believe Takeshi knew what strategy was, especially when he was never put into a position like his and just had to go in and kill at random. All he cared about was fighting without strategy, something that would get everyone killed and yet it was a wonder that his old team had survived. Takeshi could try and believe he was a strategist, but he didn’t have anything beyond what he had seen from others, “I just told you a plan, you deaf naked ape!” Now he was really getting annoyed at him, especially now it was evident that he wasn’t listening. He had a ton of battle strategies and yet all of them would probably be overlooked by Takeshi, “You have no experience with looking after a squad, meaning I can’t trust you with it. Is this the same attitude you young Saiyans have when assuming you can compare yourself to an Elite?”

Viral was definitely annoyed at Takeshi, that much was obvious. He couldn’t understand how he would think taking control of an army was as easy as battling when it was not the same thing; there was no way Takeshi could pay attention enough. Just getting all angry and flustered, he sighed angrily when Korian addressed him, looking to Takeshi before moving to Korian. Hopefully these plans of his involved patience and no charging. Folding his arms, he waited for Korian’s prompt, hoping he really had the answer he was looking for as he followed him to the console, “So long as it’s better than grabbing a bunch of warriors and charging…”

"Exactly, which is why we won't abandon him. He's one of us as far as I'm concerned. I've neglected him up until now but I intend to remedy that as soon as possible. It'll be difficult, splitting my focus, but I can hopefully help both T'charrl and Viral." At the very least it meant there would be plenty of work to do, something Vegeta couldn't complain about. He loathed being idle, and while training was necessary it hardly was the sole thing he wished to fill time with. To have T'charrl be able to handle himself and gain an ally in him, Sayomi was right, he'd make a powerful friend indeed. "I've never cared much for culture, or language either admittedly," Vegeta said, smiling as he itched at his nose. "Perhaps a good thing we were lent some scouters then. I'm about as useful as a translator as Shu is with a wrench I'm afraid. It's admirable though, your hobby. As I understand you compiled most of the data for the scouters yourself. I'm impressed, that's a lot of work for one single person." Hm, and what had he done as of late? Bicker with Viral and help modify a ship, not exactly anything boast-worthy. Perhaps it was high time he start seeking grander horizons, after this war was done with of course. "I do intend to travel a bit myself when we're done. There are a few worlds who aren't yet space-travel ready, I intend to help that. A free universe with all sorts of races interacting and trading, I do think that will be a good outlet for my time."

Regardless of what the King's reason was for making Beastmen it couldn't be good. This was worth looking into, probably even before traveling to the other worlds for recruiting. If they could find where this was coming from then perhaps they could shut it down for good and prevent any more cases like Yumi's. Over the noise of Takeshi and Viral yelling at one another Vegeta glanced down at his computer, pouring over the data he'd gotten. This might help, or it might be a total bust, it was hard to say just yet. "Those two... They never stop..." he mumbled, slipping his handheld back into his pocket. "I intend on keeping it a secret, and only if I find a solution then I'll bring it up. I'm sure Yumi has no desire to undergo another operation, but if it means restoring her back to her old self I can't imagine she'll be opposed. She's still having a hard time with it, understandably." The question Sayomi then proposed made Vegeta worry a fair bit, looking up at her with a concerned glance. The King playing god... That was the last thing they needed. If he could make an army of artificial lifeforms, Beastmen loyal to him and him alone, they would have a massive issue on their hands. "What I'd like to know is why he's doing it. Everything I've heard suggests he's more for Saiyan superiority, so why create something that could jeopardize that? That's what's confusing me..."

If left alone Takeshi and Viral were certainly going to fight, Korian could see it coming. Perhaps a distraction then to diffuse things, and he had just the thing for Viral. "If you want to talk strategy then come with me Viral, I have something to show you." Sharing this information wasn't that big of a concern seeing as they were going to be fighting together. Plus the rebel did actually want some input, he preferred an objective insight to check for possible problems. "Charging straight in? With all due respect I've been at this longer than even you have. I might come across as brash on occasion but I do know what I'm doing." Korian replied, smiling in amusement. Requesting for some documents to be brought up he gestured to the screen, the first image being of Kortal. Pressing a button on the panel he brought up a cluster of blue ships designated as their own, and the expected enemy formation before the planet. It gave an idea of numbers, and the pressing issue he had brought up of being outnumbered in battle. But that was neither here nor there, that wasn't the point of the demonstration.

"As you see, the Saiyans will most likely form a protective wall in the outer reaches of the atmosphere to prevent entry to the planet. They have no new ships since my and Sayomi's departure, so we can safely guess at what we'll encounter. A few gunboats such as the one you all have, a frigate, and several smaller combat vessels. Our primary concern is the frigate, a ship like that is equipped to tear through all but the strongest of armor. Because of that if we encounter one myself and Sayomi will use this vessel to fight, it's the only one that can withstand blasts. The remaining troops will engage the enemy vessels and we'll whittle down their numbers in the process. As for where you and your friends come in..." Pressing another button he brought up a lone ship, just off the left flank of the cluster. "As we engage the enemy the intent is to send your ship around the chaos and directly onto the planet. If we make our presence known most of the forces will come up to confront us. At most you'll have a few Elites to contend with. Should all go as planned we will beat the enemy up above while you secure a landing zone for the remainder of the forces. Once that happens we make a unified strike on the capitol and for the King." That was the ideal plan, but rarely did things go as well as they were written. Mistakes were likely to be made and there were always unaccountable events. "Thoughts?"

Takeshi glowered at Viral's back as he was taken away, folding his arms over his chest and beginning to sulk. He had military experience too, he was the leader of a squad for a year. As if he didn't know strategy, he and his squad had made it through a year for a reason. Instead of him being asked to help the damn Beastman was being brought over, that was so unfair. "Viral has no idea what he's talking about... I know plenty of strategy..." he mumbled, finally tearing his eyes off the pair and looking at Shu. "Would you trust me to make a strategy...? Actually never mind, don't answer that." Shu would agree with whatever he said probably, he didn't know any better. He'd ask Yumi but she still looked annoyed with him. Sighing softly he rubbed at his head with one hand, glancing towards the front of the ship and out at the black void of space. "What do you think Shu? Do you feel ready for all of this?" Honestly, he didn't. Not by a long shot.

Sayomi would think Vegeta would enjoy working with T’charrl, especially considering the nature of the Kaesstrian’s abilities. His power was almost like peering into life and death simultaneously and that was very weird in itself, but trying to figure out how they worked would lead to her understanding of the Kaesstrian culture and their history. Once peace was brought to the galaxy she would like to go to their planet, gathering more information than some books and language information and translations. She hoped to go to a lot of other planets as well, but even then she felt her dossier on Kaesstria was too close to completion to be left behind before another project. Frowning a little at Vegeta’s disregard for languages and culture, she sighed and shook her head, “I did, but it wasn’t that much work regarding the original Tuffle model”, she spoke calmly, shrugging, “The hardest part was tuning it to your brainwaves so you can hear and speak the language to others without so much as a thought about it”. The thought of making more aliens space-savvy was certainly a challenge, one that would best suit Vegeta by the sounds of it. Nodding a little, she looked down at her computer , “And your world? I have not seen humans in space yet”, she spoke, not finding any information on them taking to space apart from space junk of human origin, most likely launched from their planet out of curiosity, “With space travel, danger follows too. You’ve got to be careful to whom you give space travel to”.

Despite the dangers of possible Beastmen, she wasn’t too concerned quite yet when the evidence was pretty small right now. There was a high possibility that these were modified aliens, but it was also highly likely that they were entirely lab produced. Viral was proof that a Beastman can be created from the ground up, but time could be saved experimenting on captives and low ranked soldiers. Nodding at Vegeta, she looked towards the door hoping that they were all too distracted in there to be listening to their conversation, hoping none of them were too nosey. Looking back at Vegeta, she frowned when he questioned the King’s intentions, giving him a sharp look in return, “They wouldn’t be superior to Saiyans; they would be slaves. He could create even the smallest Beastmen so long as they could do his dirty laundry or give him a good foot rub. He wouldn’t create them knowing they could be better than his own people. They’ll probably not look like Viral at all, or rather not as ‘human’ as his creator intended. I doubt he’d want them to be associated with Saiyans unless he purposely made them look like small Oozaru for fun”.

Viral was not amused by Takeshi, hoping he would shut up in the back and not make snarky comments only to distract him. This was very important stuff with a lot of people’s lives riding on it, especially when it meant whether the King would win or they’d emerge victorious and having freedom once more. He didn’t know why he was involved personally; he could probably go back to Earth and nobody would have a care to where he was or try to find him, especially considering even Takeshi thought as much. Takeshi had no care whether he would end up being captured again because he returned to Earth. Looking at Korian’s battle plans, he narrowed his gaze as he tried to set it all up in his mind and understand the possible outcomes. Looking to Korian, he could only wonder if he knew what may happen, “You know that plan means you cannot pull any punches; those ships will have to be destroyed”, he spoke, staring at him, “I would suggest the use of dummy ships if you are going for a plan like that. You would be overwhelmed if you try to attack them just to distract them without the idea of killing them. You can either destroy them and lessen the risk of defeat or you can use dummies and hope they don’t catch on…”

Shu didn’t like his friends fighting, probably because nothing ever happened as a result but the possibility of something was always so close. If they fought it out it would probably be best, but using nasty words made him feel a lot less comfortable with that kind of rivalry. Pressing his fingers against each other, he looked up to Takeshi when he spoke to him again, tilting his head a little before looking back to Viral. He didn’t know if Takeshi would be good at making any sort of plan, but he was best not saying anything just incase. Frowning slightly, he looked back to Takeshi when he was asked a real question, tilting his head a little before lowering it again, “I’m not ready…no. I don’t know if I want to go fight him either”, he spoke, feeling a little scared, “I don’t even know how to control my anger problems yet…”

"The Tuffle model, hm...? So these scouters date that far back..." His father had mentioned them once or twice before, as had his grandfather. How interesting that these modern devices dated back so many years ago. They must have been awfully primitive, yet Vegeta now felt an urge to get a hold of one. Perhaps somewhere in his travels he might come across one, he'd love to try and reverse-engineer it, just to see how one was put together. The notion of scouters had never really been much of a focal point for him despite how ingenious they were. Knowing there was such a long history behind the devices renewed his enthusiasm a bit however. "Oh I'm well aware, trust me. And realistically it will take some time, not every world will have the resources to even build a ship, let alone go on long voyages in one. It'll take a year at the very least to get any programs off of the ground, and then who knows how long thereafter to really get it booming. Unless, that is, we provide some aid, then other people could join us in no time." As Sayomi pointed out there were a good few repercussions of bringing more and more races into space. Risk of conflict aside these aliens simply wouldn't know how to navigate or what worlds were safe, it'd be a hectic beginning for sure. "Humanity has been in space, just not as extensively as Saiyans. I suppose there's never been much reason for us as a planet to travel out. My company does research new technologies though, so humans could very well join as well soon."

Vegeta was rather troubled by the idea of more Beastmen, as he should be. Making them was relatively easy compared to making one that was stable, his own father's work could attest to that. The King could well produce 1,000 and maybe a fraction would be fit for any kind of service. Artificial or not he thought that was a waste of life, and talent. If those scientists could duplicate such a process then they shouldn't be doing so to create weapons of war. "Beastmen are unpredictable though Sayomi. My father's work speaks about his failures, and he had a few that were borderline manic because they were so unstable. The ones that were like that had to be put down..." he explained, frowning dismally. "Those who were mentally sound were often too unhealthy and died rather quickly. I don't know what I'm more worried about, why the King might use them or how many lives will be lost trying to perfect it." Maybe Sayomi was right though, they could just be made as slaves. That was just as bad in Vegeta's mind, creating life only to have it live in servitude to another, such a waste of potential. It was part of the reason he was conflicted about giving Viral orders, he didn't like taking away the Beastman's autonomy, even if he did work better with direction.

Sharing their battle plans with Viral would hopefully bring him down from this angry bout he was having, Korian didn't want a scene on his hands. Not that one hadn't happened already, the Beastman and Takeshi were anything but quiet. With the display set up for Viral to see the rebel went through their first plan step by step, changing the display as he went to give a visual idea. Even in his precarious mental state the commander wanted to hear Viral's input, he certainly did have a mind for strategy after all. Korian would be a fool to not accept some input, there were always things he could miss or not even consider, some which Viral highlighted right away. "Either we destroy them or disable them, the latter being preferable," he agreed, nodding his head. "We considered the use of decoys, but we've only so many ships to our name, and even fewer that we can spare. Decoys might work... But that's a big risk we're taking by leaving it all to chance. This is precisely why I asked for your input." Smiling a bit Korian brought the display back to the original phase, hitting another button as the image changed. Now the rebel fleet was broken up into three clusters, each approaching from a different angle. "And this? What do you think of a trident approach?"

Takeshi had sort of forgotten about Shu while he was arguing, only recalling his brother was present when Viral went off. Immediately he felt ashamed and angry with himself for acting out, knowing full well it made his brother uncomfortable. Between feeling slighted and being upset with himself he was in a fair lousy mood now, standing at his sibling's side with his arms tightly folded against his chest. Regardless of whose plan they went with pretty soon they'd be fighting their father, and all of his men. Were they really ready for something like that? Was Shu? "Would you want to stay back...? You can stay on a ship while we go fight, if you want to." Takeshi replied, smiling gently. "I won't think of you any differently if you don't want to fight buddy. I'm nervous too, but... We have to stop him, and I'm going to help however I can." Even if meant fighting while afraid he had to do it. It was their fault that people had gotten hurt because it was their father who did it, so it was only right one or both of them stop him. Reaching out and putting an arm around Shu's shoulders he pulled him in for a hug, looking over at Korian and Viral as they spoke. "I'll help you with that, if you want," he added, looking down at his brother before rubbing at his neck bashfully. "I kind of need help too don't I?"

Sayomi nodded a little, shrugging slightly, “The most basic of basics with today’s technology and little chance to overload. Think of it as upgrading a computer from the ground up”, she spoke, feeling pretty proud of her work; it wasn’t easy upgrading an extremely old model but these were the most cost efficient and granted the most power and memory. If she was to make an entirely new model, it would had required a whole lot more research into making a new model and wasting resources making thousands of them; these could be made on demand and the chips needed simply inserted with them being easily mass-produced. She could give an entire planet one each and still have spares. Listening to Vegeta’s reasoning, she sighed and nodded a little in agreement, knowing how long it would take to build a ship and then make sure the resources to make more were readily available, “So you plan on making it a business. Just remember the risks of doing such a thing such as aiding bandits and pirates by accident; allowing any race to go into space does have its risks with aiding the unruly, after all”, she sighed, knowing that all too well, “The most Humans could get out of space travel is better technology…but then you’d be out of the job. Is that why?”

The idea of Beastmen spawning everywhere was not Sayomi’s kind of reality, knowing it was just going to be an absolute pain for everyone and those who could survive whatever treatment the Saiyans gave them. It was going to be very worrisome either way, knowing the King could spawn loads of them if he had the technology to do so, “The King would kill those who were too vicious for anything useful, seeing as how they would be nothing compared to him. He would have no care for their lives and I highly doubt any of his Elites would either”, she spoke, shaking her head, “When Viral was made an Elite, there was certainly a lot of questioning as to why an inferior creature was given such a title…but, he was ruthless and earned a lot of respect through his hard work and ferocity. He could decimate entire settlements in a matter of minutes undetected because he lacks Ki. While control may not be fully accomplished without those collars, the King would love throwing crazed creatures onto planets that remain undetected until it’s too late”.

Viral knew there was something missing from this plan, but he didn’t know if there was going to be a chance to find out an alternative if these guys wanted to go in as soon as possible. If they just found patience they’d realise there would be very little problem with stealing more ships using tactics Korian wouldn’t even be aware of yet. If he could master his transformations he could force an entire ship to surrender to him using the power of fear, but Korian would be too scared of him losing control most likely. Watching the map, he frowned as he saw his alternative plan, seeing a weakness immediately, “This would be good if there wasn’t the concept of an ambush from behind. You would leave your ships open to having the enemy sneak in right behind them all”, he spoke, pointing in the centre of the clusters, “If you had a scouting ship it would work, but I haven’t heard you mentioning anything about a stealth vessel…just a small craft that can watch your back and signal when trouble approaches. The biggest problem you have is figuring out how to create an opening wide enough for our ship to power right through…”

Shu somehow wished he had gone with Vegeta and Sayomi when they left, feeling as if he would be more help with them and adding to their little group rather than this one. This was all so technical and nobody was giving him any clue to what he was supposed to contribute to, making him feel a little left out. T’charrl didn’t appear to want to do much talking, but then again his idea of combat was physical and not with ships and space and stuff. Looking to Takeshi as he gave him some attention, he frowned at his question, “Stay on the ship…? But…why am I here if I would stay on the ship anyway?” he asked him, not feeling happy with that thought, “I want to fight, not sit around and hope everyone’s okay…I’m not that weak”. Feeling a little sad, he let out a sigh before he was given a little hug by his brother, looking to him curiously as he tried to give him a solution to his anger problems, “Oooh, yes please. Maybe Yumi can help you with yours! She did well with you and Mister Viral just now…until you started fighting again…”

Vegeta hadn't thought of it that way, suddenly building those scouters seemed a great deal easier. He still hadn't the knowledge of how one actually worked but at least he knew now that producing them was a relatively simple job. "Eventually you'll have new technology conflicting with the old however. You can't upgrade old tech forever, something has to give at some point. Perhaps its time you begin putting research into new models? I could even help, I've got plenty of funds, albeit that would mean we would have to do the work on Earth. If you don't mind that stipulation I would be more than happy to be a benefactor for your work." Anything that meant the advancement of technology he would try to put his two cents worth in. Unlike some of his business ventures this was a very promising investment, even if a bit of a ways off in reality. With the potential of dozens of aliens interacting however it would be almost mandatory for scouters to be distributed to provide communications, and their devices could be just the thing they would need. Smiling at Sayomi knowingly Vegeta waved a hand dismissively, giving a light chuckle. "I'm well aware of the risks, and I would employ people to ensure as much safety as possible. I am a businessman on the side. I just often can't be bothered with it all, compared to this it's so droll. And the reason I keep humanity from traveling the galaxy? Humans are inherently weak, even with the knowledge of Ki at their disposal. It would be too risky for them right now to become part of the universal community, I think."

No matter what way you sliced it the notion of more Beastmen wandering around was bad. They would either be rampant, killed for any number of shortcomings or made to live a terrible existence. It was beyond selfish that the King was willing to do something like this, to the point where Vegeta was sickened by it. "If we don't see to it before this is over, all of their work has to be destroyed. We can't allow people to create life on a whim like this, or to change people to make them tools. I hate to erase any kind of information, but the problems this research poses are far too risky to let exist." Even if the King were defeated there was no guarantee the work would stop, someone would get a hold of it for nefarious purposes. Tracking down all of the scientists responsible would be one matter entirely, let alone trying to destroy any traces of their work. "It'll be a hollow victory if planets are constantly in danger of being ransacked by manic Beastmen. I can't imagine Viral is going to appreciate our doing it, but we need to find a way to snuff this problem out sooner rather than later."

"Every plan has a weakness, even the best laid out ones..." Korian remarked, sighing as he rubbed at his head. He expected Viral to find holes in his strategies, and he was glad the Beastman had. While some of it he had considered before there was a bit of new insight that really got the rebel thinking. It would be impossible to cover all bases in reality, they couldn't know what the enemy was doing. And if the enemy became panicked during the battle it was nigh impossible to predict a frantic enemy. "Unfortunately we lack anything with stealth capabilities. We had one before but lost it in a skirmish, and the technology for that is difficult to come by. Stealth then isn't going to work, not in the traditional sense. It would have to be someone circling around and avoiding the enemy while the main forces engage, IF we have someone slip by, that is." Having a ship go in alone was incredibly risky, as they could easily become overwhelmed. If forces could get on the ground it would disrupt everything above the planet though, giving them the edge. "A small ship... You all still have that cargo vessel of yours, don't you? We could use that as a scouting craft. It should be just small enough to avoid radar and quick enough to evade the enemy. I'm sure we could find a crew willing to take on that task. Still... I don't believe our strategies are as good as they could be yet, we need more time to work them out."

Takeshi wasn't really thrilled about Shu fighting their father, even if he did want his brother there at the same time. The King was going to be a scary strong opponent, the risk of losing someone against him was high enough as it was. He remembered their first time meeting the man when they went after Viral, how just his presence alone had beaten them. Sure they were stronger now, but he probably was too. "I know you're not weak Shu, but... Father's on a whole different level than anyone we've fought before. I don't know if I can keep you safe from him." Hell, Takeshi wasn't so sure he could keep himself safe, let alone anyone else. The closer they were getting to this the more he was beginning to feel nerves. He never got like this around an opponent before, not once in his life. Sure he got uneasy around T'charrl but that was for a whole different reason, the Kaesstrian wasn't absurdly powerful. Hoping to help both Shu and himself the older boy reached out, pulling Shu into a one armed hug. "Maybe Yumi should help us with both of ours. Anger management has never been my thing really. Honestly I never really thought I had a problem until recently." With no one around he never thought any of his behavior was wrong, it was only with the introduction of Shu and the others he had tried to change himself. "She does do an awesome job of helping people, doesn't she?"

Sayomi shook her head slowly, frowning a little, “It would be possible, but right now I cannot. We’ve got to make use of what we have for now, but it is highly possible if we ever win this war to see into it. If you’re sure your planet has the resources available”, she spoke, considering it greatly. She didn’t know and definitely had no clue whether they would ever win, but the biggest problem right now wasn’t that by a longshot. She had to consider what would happen if she was captured before they attacked too, her work immediately being shifted back to working for the King unwillingly. She didn’t like how the odds were already stacked against them and Korian being so willing to go in for the final attack, but she had to go along with it even if it was futile just so they had that chance of possibly making a difference. Getting a little lost in thought there, she looked back to Vegeta, giving him her full attention again, “Weak? I wouldn’t say that”, she spoke, looking down at her computer again, “They are our closest living relative, after all. Humans may not have brawn, but they have brains. Intelligence is a devastating weapon. Where would you be without Humans?”

Sayomi had half a mind to hack into the King’s systems and steal all the information regarding the Beastmen and whether there really was a project behind them, but if she did that then the King would surely notice and would know that they knew. She really wanted to know and hated being stuck in the darkness like this without any real clue as to whether they existed or not. If they did exist it would be really bad, of course, but if it was not as bad as they imagined and the Beastmen were actually pretty civilised then maybe she wouldn’t have too much of a problem with it. She figured the only way the King would be able to make more Beastmen would be to steal the DNA of the creatures used to make Viral, meaning the DNA would have to be from Earth. That was definitely an interesting point she could see happening, and would probably explain why Yumi had featured you’d see on an animal from Earth and not one native to Kortal or something, “Hmm, and I’ve got a feeling he has been sampling from your planet to make the Beastmen, so this is nothing recent…just the technique to change Yumi”, she spoke, tapping her chin, “It doesn’t matter what Viral thinks, I’d hate to say. This is not his business because he can’t solve it and you know that. The biggest problem is this might all be taking place on a different planet entirely or somewhere secret on Kortal, meaning it’s hidden away somewhere or under high guard. What do you think? If you were in his shoes, would you hide it on another planet so his planet is in no danger or secretly on Kortal under heavy-duty defences?”

Viral was a little annoyed by how little there was to this plan, knowing it needed a lot more thought than this. They didn’t have the firepower or the stealth needed for this mission and this was definitely no time to hear that they had no means of stealth readily available. Calling themselves ready for this final fight made him feel as if everyone here was doomed and they should just call it quits now, especially when the King was keeping the galaxy somewhat stable because the rebels continued to cause trouble. Sighing, he shook his head in thought before looking to Korian, frowning slightly at the mention of the little vessel they had, “Yes…but it’s hardly manoeuvrable for something like that incase it was attacked”, he sighed, looking to the plan, “Don’t you think we’re best using a ship that size to get to the surface, anyway? We’ve only got one and all the rest were on Pagonia and who the hell knows if they’re still there and ready to fly! Who would pilot it well enough to avoid incoming fire on your team?”

Shu really did hope he was strong enough to face his father, staring up at Takeshi hoping he wouldn’t need to stay behind; however, the moment Takeshi said ‘but’ his heart sank and he lowered his gaze, letting out a sigh of rejection. He really did want to be strong and he knew the risks, but he wanted to beat his father and know he could conquer his fears and get back at him for making him go through all those experiments. Feeling bummed out, he glanced to Yumi a little before back to Takeshi, frowning slightly, “I almost forgot she’s all with your friend all the time, so maybe she won’t have time”, he spoke, “She really does help people good, but maybe it’s a lot of work for her and she would be happy taking a break sometimes. Do you know of any ways to keep calm? Like with me?”

"We've not used them on travel ourselves, or anything for that matter. Besides, even if they were hard to come by you'd be astonished what money can get you." It was a good thing that Vegeta had accountants, balancing a checkbook wasn't something he could be bothered with either. Not that he wasn't financially responsible, because he was. If you asked him how much was in the company accounts though he'd look at you like you had two heads. He knew the ethics of business, how to operate one and the technical side of their products, but not the money. Smiling in amusement Vegeta shook his head, looking at Sayomi curiously. "Sure, they're smart. But how well will their intelligence stack up against the brawn of a Saiyan in battle? Or the stealth of a Kaesstrian warrior? I'd like to think there won't be conflict, but let's be realistic, there is going to be. I doubt that humanity is ready to fight if they have to, and I'd rather not risk the chance if we don't need to." Humans would go to space when they were well and ready, whether that was on his terms or someone else's. Perhaps just to humor the idea he'd request to speak with their own King when they got back home, just to see what he thought. "I suppose literally speaking I wouldn't be here without humans," Vegeta added, smiling, "After all, my mother was human. And her mother, going back a few generations."

It was a bit difficult to focus on anything other than the Beastman issue right now. The potential risks that this brought about definitely warranted their attention, they couldn't afford not to worry about it. While Vegeta and Sayomi couldn't quite agree on the nature of the project they did both acknowledge that it wasn't at all possibly good. They needed to shut down the program, that was the only certainty. The King couldn't be allowed to play God and make people like that, or change people against their will for his own use. It was so wrong that his father's work, work meant to make something to protect people was being used for something like this. "How long has he had this then, I wonder... And how many people have already been effected? Yumi is proof of concept that it works already, so I doubt they stopped at her." It was so hard to imagine why anyone would subjugate people to be changed like this. Sure it gave some power but you also risked the chance of instability, sometimes enough so that the only option was to put someone down like a common animal. Considering the track record of Saiyans he didn't suppose they would have any issue doing such a thing. "I would have to think a different world, personally. It would make more sense for them to do it off planet. No risk of accidental exposure to the population, easier to run things how they want with discretion. And if anything bad happens they can just leave the planet, no need to eliminate anyone, just abandon it altogether. It sounds cruel, but I'd put my money on that."

Needless to say these plans were still in the early stages of production. The two that Korian had presented were from a list of perhaps a dozen, and they had only just settled on their final options. Viral had proven to be helpful in giving his insight, and also showing them just how ill prepared they were. Maybe he was being a bit overzealous in getting to the fight, Korian thought. They were so close to beating the king he felt like every minute they spent sitting back was a minute people could be freed, it was maddening. "Yes, I suppose you're right. It would be a waste to use that ship as a distraction, definitely an infiltration ship," the rebel mumbled, looking over at Viral. "I guess it's a good think Pagonia will be a stop then. If you can manage to find any of our ships still intact then we can input commands from here and have them return back. If the Narbu agree to join us then they can just use the ships to reach where we are. Provided of course they don't have ships of their own." Admittedly they knew very little of Pagonia, their time on the planet had been as brief as it had been unpleasant. "If I had to assign a pilot, I believe that Ricken would be up for the job. He's not too bad at it, and I'd trust him to keep you all safe. I don't imagine Vegeta is a poor pilot either, considering his experience. He could more than likely do it as well."

Darn it, and there he went only making Shu even more bummed out. That wasn't what he wanted, seeing Shu disappointed and dejected was the worst. "Yumi is with Choi a lot, yeah... But if you asked for help I know she'd help you too," Takeshi answered, smiling slightly. "If she wants to take a break then we'll let her, she's not the only one that can help us. Vegeta kind of knows some therapy stuff, I think. Or maybe someone on here knows." Really, were their anger problems the biggest thing to be worrying about right now? Sure, he and Shu were prone to bouts of rage and tended to go nuts during them, but it often resulted in them beating their opponent. While neither of them wanted to hurt someone quite that badly it would be a little useful to have that extra insurance, just in case things went south. "Uh... Keeping calm... Shu you do realize who you're asking, right? Keeping calm isn't something I usually do," Takeshi admitted, sighing as he itched at his head. "But... Uh... Vegeta's said something about breathing exercises before. Take a deep breath, hold it and release it, do that a few times. Other than that..." he shrugged, smiling slightly, "Beats the hell out of me."

Sayomi saw no reason to underestimate an entire race that were of such interest to the King that he sired his kids there, seeing as how it also bred one of the most powerful warriors in recent history. Just because he was a pure Saiyan didn’t mean he didn’t have the human nature and that proved to be a powerful ingredient. Vegeta was completely underestimating an entire race and that just made them out to be weak and not worth the time, “C’mon, are you serious?” she spoke, looking a little annoyed, “You think Humans need to use their fists to succeed? For a genius you don’t think a lot. If Humans were more aware of what was out there, imagine the weapons that would be created. Your Beastman is not your creation, considering he’s never referred to you as his ‘creator’, so wouldn’t that mean your human mother and other humans are responsible for his creation? Why fight a battle when you can create weapons to do it for you?”

Shifting her love for research and species aside, the thought of more Beastmen running around was already a horrible idea, especially when the one that was currently running around was difficult to handle already. She couldn’t imagine possibly thousands more like him, but then again the King probably could never replicate Viral’s abilities; however, they’d still be an active threat considering what the Beastman was capable of without needing to use special abilities. They could be a pack of wild animals and yet perfectly understand what orders they were given without the need to award them any sort of treat. Concerned, she did think about how long it was going on too, “Could be as long as a year now, but the ability to create a Beastman using an already existing being is fairly recent given how long Yumi has been one”, she sighed, tapping her chin again, “As far as I’m concerned, the length of time this has been going on for is of no concern now that we’ve found out. What we need to be concerned with now is putting a halt to it. I don’t know what we’ll do with them if they actually exist either. Do we leave them on that planet if that’s the case? But if they have technology too…this is too difficult to plan at this stage; we need more information”.

Viral hoped Korian had another way to flesh out the plan other than ask for opinions otherwise they were in trouble if they went in with something so simple. It was not possible to use this plan of attack right now, not while it had these flaws. Picking up some more of those cargo ships was certainly a good plan, but what was better was his idea of stealth, “Hmmm, these cargo ships…how many were available on Pagonia?” he questioned him, giving him a good stern stare, “The Saiyans aren’t willing to allow the deaths of the King’s sons, are they? If we had many of these cargo ships…it would be an idea to let them know they are on a cargo ship…but which ship? Send in as many of these ships in as possible. I don’t care if they’re remote controlled or piloted, but they can’t capture all the ships, can they?”

Shu didn’t want to be left behind otherwise what would be the point in him getting stronger or being around at all when he could just hide away and be completely useless. He didn’t want to be a burden and just along for the ride; he wanted to make a difference. Letting out a sigh, he nodded a little as he made a little glance towards Yumi, “But Mister Vegeta’s been busy with Mister Viral”, he frowned, shaking his head, “He wouldn’t be wanting to do that”. He could try and work on it by himself if he knew how to, but quite frankly he had no idea how he was supposed to and would definitely be worried that no progress was being made. He still didn’t know how such a thing had gone unnoticed all his life only to awaken inside him when that big Saiyan arrived. Feeling a little uncomfortable, he shifted his feet a little as he looked up at Takeshi, tilting his head, “Breathing? But I’m breathing all the time”, he squeaked, finding it confusing, “Hold it like going underwater? Ooh, sounds scary…but maybe fear is good for being calm? Might hold it for too long and that would be bad…”

"I know humanity is capable of great things, you're misunderstanding what I'm saying though. As far as combat capabilities go that's where humans lack. And when there is the threat of conflict in a more traveled space I worry about how they'd fare if they were made to defend themselves." The last person he needed a lecture on humans from was a Saiyan who had never been to Earth before. She might have data on them but nothing compared to firsthand experience like he had. Being slightly annoyed at being mistaken Vegeta put his hands up, taking a breath to settle himself before looking at Sayomi. "Humans did have a major part in Viral's inception, and they are capable of great things. I just... I suppose I don't want to send them into trouble," he answered, shrugging his shoulders before sighing. "If they become part of the universal community it will be by my hand more likely than not. If it turns out badly then it will be all my fault, inadvertently or not. It may be a selfish reason to keep travel from humanity, but... It's not a weight I wish to have on my shoulders. If someone else comes along with the technology or means for them to do it then fine, I'll support that. I just don't feel ready for humanity to make that leap."

The matter of Beastmen was much too daunting for them to even consider fixing just yet. It was as Sayomi said, there wasn't enough information. Acting on so many unknowns could only end badly, they would have to investigate before taking proper action. So now on top of recruiting from previously visited worlds now they had to investigate the resurgence of Beastmen, not that much work. "If they're no threat to anyone directly then I say yes, give them a world to call their own. It would be such a shame to have to kill them instead, and if we can't find a way to reverse the work then this will be our next best bet. There is bound to be plenty of planets available once this is over, I would imagine. Not every single one in this universe can be inhabited, we can find a nice place for them to settle down on and build a new life." It sure felt lousy discussing this, even if they had good intentions. People would lose their homes if they hadn't already because of what had been done to them, and they could likely never return. It wasn't a fate Vegeta wished on anyone, certainly least of all innocents who had been caught in the crossfire. "We'll look into the matter, if it's all the same. Do what you can from here, and while we travel I'll see what I can dig up. We've a communications link between our ships so it won't be hard to keep each other in the loop."

"We had... 14 of these ships on Pagonia. Taking yours from that we've 13, and I know we lost at least 3 attacking the base, so that brings us to 10. Even if only half of those are still in operating condition that's 5 ships we can use, which gives us far more room for maneuvering in terms of our strategy." Korian rather liked where Viral was going with this plan of his. Deception wasn't something he frequently used, mostly because the bulk of his knowledge came from the very people he was fighting. To use even a small cluster of ships as a decoy, on top of a diversion the form of a battle, that would probably work very well. "If we put them in a ship and send them to the planet... Perhaps send you and your friends with them... That would be very convenient for us. A breach in their defenses could cripple them, especially if you cause havoc on the ground. While things there are in a disarray we can easily overcome the enemy above and join you on Kortal for the final surge. I like that..." It would throw enemy forces into a fit and make it harder for them to control the situation in spite of their larger number of troops. "If we can find some allies in these people as well then our odds will be even greater."

Takeshi was all for getting Shu help with his problems, he just wasn't sure he'd be the best one to do it. He had his own problems, how was he supposed to help his brother when he couldn't help himself? "We'll find some help for you, I don't know who but we'll find someone." Who else did they really have? It was basically Yumi or Vegeta, and if both of them were busy then who did they turn to? "I don't know, I heard Vegeta say breathing was supposed to help you relax or something, he told Viral that." Other than what he vaguely overheard Takeshi had nothing to give his brother, he was far from helping someone deal with anger issues. "Fear is not going to help keep you calm... Like... Where is the logic in that? If you want to be calm you need to be, I don't know, calm. Find something that helps you relax, you know? If we can figure out what helps you relax then you'll be fine though. Maybe... An emergency banana or something..."

Sayomi didn’t like it when someone underestimated any race’s potential, even the smallest and strangest looking of races. The interest she had with Humans was how they could breed with Saiyans without complications and still produce amazing warriors because of their understanding of emotions, buts he never had the experience of seeing what Earth was like and what kind of cultures they had there. She could see why someone might hold some level of resentment if they were surrounded by weak people all the time, but this was completely not needed, “Create a weapon that can pierce and send energy surging through and you’ve got a Saiyan killer; I could see Humans come up with that if they knew what we were capable of…then again, who says they don’t already have weapons to combat Saiyans when the greatest of them all came from your planet?” Vegeta’s concern towards humans going into space was a little strange, but it was also good to note that he placed a lot of the blame on himself, “Do you share the same sentiment towards Viral and if something happens to him, it’s you who are to blame?” she questioned him, folding her arms a little, “You should relieve yourself of a lot of the weight, especially when Humans can decide whether they want to use the technology to become space-savvy. If they’re drawn to the stars then so be it”.

Sayomi did wonder when Korian would be finished with discussing the plans, especially when she needed the room to be empty before telling him what she discovered. It was definitely pretty difficult, but at least she knew she had plenty of time once they were all gone. They could stay for a while, but quite honestly she was a little concerned with the Kaesstrian being on the ship incase something happened and they had no way to handle it. Looking to the door for a moment, her eyes slowly turned back, frowning a little, “And what if there’s no planet suitable for them? If they’re constructed of animals typically found on Earth and found their calling to be Earth, then what? Do you give them a home there despite what they’re capable of? Their numbers could also be too low for them to be comfortable on a vast planet”. It was always going to be a concern if there truly was a lot of them, but if they were dangerous then who knew what they might end up doing. Feeling momentarily concerned, she let out a sigh and shook her head, “Just don’t get too concerned right now. If you become too distracted with this then you may not concentrate on your current goal. I’ll send you what I’ve found whenever possible, but understand that won’t be every day”.

Viral liked the idea of confusing the enemy and overwhelming them, finding it went back to his tactics when he was under Saiyan command. He could really let loose with that and it was fun too to watch how the enemy became overwhelmed and confused. Looking to Korian, he listened to his side of the plan before shrugging lightly, “They wouldn’t see it coming; being unable to attack a moving target has always confused them”, he spoke, folding his arms, “I doubt you’d find some allies, though. Those soldiers in and around Kortal are fiercely loyal and those who aren’t are mere servants. It’s all or nothing and disabling them with sheer force is the only way to combat these soldiers. If we lose on Kortal, that’s it as retreat is near impossible at that point”.

The only thing Shu hoped for right now was to get stronger, hoping he was going to end up like his brother and able to fight off even the strongest of Saiyans without hurting himself or his friends. He didn’t like getting angry and changing, he felt like he was not the same person he was now when he did and it confused him as to why he couldn’t find others who could do the same. It didn’t appear to be a Saiyan thing to change like that, the thought of it stressing him out. Hoping maybe Takeshi could give him answers, “I still really want to get strong…” he sighed, lowering his head a little, “I don’t know…maybe getting really really scared and then realise it can’t hurt you…? Wouldn’t that make me feel better? But I’m scared of a lot of things”. Frowning slightly, he pressed his toes against the floor before immediately looking to Takeshi, suddenly bouncing a little, “Banana? I want a banana! Do you have bananas? Where are you keeping them….?”

Vegeta wasn't overly thrilled with the notion of sending humans into space, regardless of what Sayomi had to say on the matter. The risks of exposing them to other races was too great for him to do such a thing in good conscience. "Of course humans have weapons to combat Saiyans. My company collaborated with others to develop the tech, seeing as we were some of the most notable Saiyans after Goku and the others passed on. My grandfather and father could probably attest to their effectiveness. But realistically, outfitting every space-traveler, every ship with that technology, it will take so long. Not to mention training people to properly use it, on top of training people to pilot ships and navigate. It's going to be a huge undertaking regardless of if they can protect themselves or not." Granted that they had defenses against Saiyans, but what of the other races? Kaesstrians? Yulians? Narbu? Vegeta doubted the Kaesstrians would cause humanity any problems, but he couldn't be sure about the others, and those were just aliens he was aware of. Furrowing his brow a frown formed on Vegeta's lips, simply nodding his head in reply to Sayomi's question. "I do blame myself. I've been asked to watch over him and help him recover. Any shortcomings on his part are a direct reflection of my own inability to do so," he replied plainly. "Like I said... If humans decide to take to the stars then far be it from I to stop them. But if they're counting solely on myself and Capsule Corp to do it then they'll have to wait."

"Considering Saiyans can co-exist, yes, Beastmen will have to as well. Perhaps even on Kortal, though I can already see a lot of resentment on the part of those who were changed. Perhaps Earth would be the best bet for them, they're already accustomed to Beastmen because of Viral, and we have people not unlike them as it is. Before we decide on where they'll be living we certainly need more information though, I hate making ill-informed decisions." The number could make the difference between a minor issue and a colossal dilemma. Whether he went to investigate or Sayomi did Vegeta knew it would be some time until they had the data either way. "I'll keep it in the back of my mind, but you're right, there's far too much to be doing right now. I find it hard to believe we're working towards a war here, it feels so... Distant. Perhaps I'm just not accustomed to this." Just because he could fight didn't mean he lived for war, unlike those around him and his friends who were brought up on it. "With all of this work ahead of me I'm thinking sitting around here isn't doing me any good. I know you'll update me as you can, and I'll do the same. I think it's about time I get the others and we get working though."

"And by the time they realize, if they do realize what is happening, it's bound to be too late. What will they do then, I wonder. Send ships down after ours? But then they weaken their own ranks and risk being overrun. If they do nothing though then our forces on the ground can fight nearly unopposed. It puts them in a very precarious position... I like that." So in essence it was much the same plan that Korian had before, only altered slightly to be made more potent. Smirking as he closed the display Korian glanced at Viral, giving a shake of his head. "I didn't mean allies on Kortal. These worlds you'll be seeing to, I meant allies from there. Though I admit that even if we get no one's support all we need are a few ships, and with those we can carry out this plan of yours. It's easy enough to execute yet simply brilliant, I'm impressed." So that would be that then, they had their plans for the final battle. There was still no guarantee that it would work as they had intended but it was a much better plan than what they had before. Korian felt much more confident about going into this now, he felt like they were almost ensured to win, even if things didn't go as they expected. "Thank you for your input, I think we're safe to move on with our plans for now. I imagine you and the others will want to get moving on soon?"

Takeshi wished he did have the answers Shu was looking for, he really did. He didn't have the answers he himself wanted though, let alone what his brother was seeking. They would get their answers at some point, it just wouldn't be from each other, that was pretty clear by now. "If you want to get stronger then keep training, if you're really strong then you won't have to be afraid of things ever again will you?" Power didn't exactly rid you of all your fears, his own fear of insects should be testament enough to that. It sure made facing them easier when you had the ability to reduce an entire planet to ash! A bit overkill, but point being if you knew you were strong it sure helped facing things that unsettled you... Usually. "I guess everyone's afraid of something. Remember before, when we were all in the jungle and that black fog attacked us? Everyone has a fear, you just got to fight even though you're afraid, you know?" Maybe Shu would outgrow his fears, or overcome them somehow, hard to say. If he wanted coping methods though then he was coming to the wrong person for them. They could always give the little guy some fruit, he rarely ever seemed upset when he had fruit. "Eh? I don't actually have a banana!" Takeshi stammered, looking at Shu surprised as he sprung about. "Do I look like I have any bananas on me?"

Sayomi was certain Humans would do perfectly well if they could recognise what kind of power lay beyond their planet, that or have them be aware of what kind of worlds were out there. She knew Humans were perfectly capable of having bad intensions, but to have a whole intelligent species be completely unaware of what aliens were out there made her a little nervous. They could be caught completely unprepared if an alien attack occurred again, one that wasn’t Saiyan in origin. It would be a waste of life and potential. Letting out a sigh, she tried to dismiss all the possibilities to just the inability to trust the Humans, “Looking at that, it is not hard to see it is a money and time issue. Your Humans still need to be protected and know what is out there other than Saiyans. It may be odd, but they are important for our survival too. To have that potential cut off seems a bit…harsh, like their planet is just a giant nature reserve where other species can only look and not touch, any family of Saiyan origin there has to be made in secret”. Who knew how many Saiyans had sneaked off to Earth to start a family only to make the planet dangerous with potential Oozaru attacks without warning; it certainly made her feel a little edgy. Frowning slightly, she gave her neck a rub, “You will have to recognise that sometimes the shortcoming will be his fault, so don’t take everything that goes wrong to heart, and the same should be regarded towards Humans. You shouldn’t overload yourself with so much concern and worry over someone else screwing up beyond your control”.

Sayomi shrugged a little, unsure as to whether there would be more volunteers to the change rather than it being forced upon them. She really didn’t know, especially when the volunteers could had been inferior Saiyans who wanted to become stronger. That was definitely going to be a problem though; loyalists to the King rebelling once they had toppled him, those who might be rendered homeless as a result of their slave quarters being removed. These were all factors they had to consider and she hoped she could solve it soon without fault. Frowning a little at Vegeta’s words, she shook her head before looking towards the door again, “I’m often left feeling stuck as this war progresses, but I do look at statistics more than fight and whenever I look at them, they always remain the same”, she sighed, looking back at her computer, “We gain territory, we lose territory, someone dies, a village is destroyed, we capture soldiers, we recruit more…some go missing…” Shaking her head, she looked back to him and straightened up, “Nevertheless, there is always that tiny sliver of progress happening, but you can’t help but feel stuck in a loop. But…we should move on; you want to use our laboratory before you leave, correct? We can give them a meal while you do that to keep them happy…and give the Kaesstrian a distraction from taking our energy because his mind get bored. You sure you want to allow his kind to travel in space over the Humans…?”

Viral gave Korian a brief nod before looking back to the plan, “They’ll never know what to do. It will be too late by the time they realise”, he spoke, smirking a little, “They’ll be so confused, their defences completely compromised…running around trying to find the right ship…” Watching as the display was closed he looked to Korian again, frowning slightly when he changed his idea of allies. Those aliens they were going to ‘recruit’ were hardly new allies, they already existed as such; they were just being sent into battle now. Grumbling at the thought of having to do his dirty work, he shrugged slightly at his thanks, “Tch, the sooner the better to get these aliens…” he muttered, still not agreeing to this idea fully, “I can’t say if this will go smoothly, but that’s about it for this planning stage. It could still be a while until the plan can be set in motion…seeing how we have our own plans! This whole recruitment crap practically flipped them right off the table…”

Shu was really desperate for the help at this point, hoping he could get some guidance when he had no path set himself. He was scared of going on by himself, he had grown up with a pack mentality where decisions were collective, so hoping Takeshi had the answers he was looking for was all he could rely on. Feeling all worried when his problems felt overwhelming, his knees shook in anticipation as if hoping he would get a solution immediately, “Yes! Be stronger and never be scared! Never fear a thing…I hope for that”, he spoke quickly, frowning a little, “I don’t remember the fog really well…but I miss the jungle…” The thought of fruit had him going again, getting all excited at the mention of a banana. He didn’t know if Takeshi managed to sneak in a banana, but he was sure hoping it was somewhere close, “Banana! Maybe! Where could you hide them…? They could be anywhere! I really like bananas…bananas are a treat for Shu…”

Okay, so maybe it was a bit selfish to keep humans from space. Realistically Vegeta would only ever be responsible for so much of what might happen. Once people took the initiative to travel outwards it was no longer his problem, though he didn't like thinking that way. Ultimately he supposed his only real concern was making sure their ships worked correctly, and from thereon in it would come down to the humans themselves to ensure their own safety. "I don't want them isolated, that's the thing. I think it would be a great thing for humanity to travel among the stars, but I worry about how they'll fare..." Looking at Sayomi the younger Saiyan smiled faintly, nodding his head before giving a light sigh. She was right, he couldn't think that every little issue was solely because of him. Perhaps there was just too much pressure on him right now, maybe asking for a helping hand from someone could be his saving grace. He went on about Viral needing help but it almost felt like he was the one that needed a little push now and again. "You're right... I can't help everything. Thanks for that."

Vegeta didn't quite understand how Sayomi felt, she was a lifetime soldier and he wasn't. He did get what she was talking about to a point, he had seen it with his own eyes. War was just a back and forth, and even when someone "won" it was an empty victory. Nothing was worth losing countless lives over, for ruining so many families and futures. War was... Disgusting, as a lot of what they had experienced as of late was. He wasn't a naive child and wasn't going to wish for there to never be war again because he knew that was an absurd notion. People had differences, people would fight and die for those differences. Hell, here they were now doing the very same thing even with such opposition to it. "Even a loop has its end though, nothing is perpetual in this universe," Vegeta remarked, smiling faintly. "Yeah, I think it's best we move on. If you'll allow me then I would love to use your lab before we go, I'm sure you've got more resources than I do. As for the others, if you wouldn't mind I think a meal is a good idea. Otherwise I can't see anyone sitting still long enough for me to work."

This plan would work, it had to. Korian was willing to wager the fate of their rebellion on Viral's proposal which should speak volumes about his confidence. After shutting down the demonstration he turned to the Beastman, offering a small smile as he nodded his head in appreciation. "I'm sorry to say we didn't meet under better circumstances, Viral. We're allies now, but I know that the ties making us so are strained at best. I would have been proud to battle alongside you before now, for what it's worth." They weren't here for pleasantries or what-ifs, they both had matters to attend to. He knew the Beastman wasn't keen on their given task but the rebel was certain it would be done, it's why he asked these kids. They may not always be the most willing but he had learned they were reliable, as reliable as anyone else in his ranks. "I am sorry that we're disrupting your plans like this, honestly. Were there anyone else reliable or capable enough I thought I could turn to I would have. We've inconvenienced you and your friends enough as it is." After this they could completely cut ties if they wanted to, Korian wouldn't raise a finger in protest. It would be a shame if they did, this group had a lot of potential to keep making a difference. If they chose to go their own way for the time being then he wouldn't stop them. "Thank you for doing this, it'll help us get one step closer to finishing this godforsaken war."

They would get Shu the help he wanted and needed, just not right now. Once they got back on their own ship maybe Yumi would be willing to talk with Shu for a little, just to ease his nerves at the very least. The only suggestion Takeshi could even offer was to get stronger and overcome his fears, which was kind of funny coming from someone who couldn't do just that. Facing your fears could probably help, Shu had done it once before after all in the jungle. Bringing that up only served to make the little guy even more bummed out, making the older boy feel worse in turn. Bananas was the only thing that could get Shu out of his slowly forming rut, and it immediately backed Takeshi into a corner as a result. "I don't have any bananas on me Shu, honest!" he replied quickly, putting his hands up defensively. "I think there's some back on the ship though, so we'll get you one then, okay? Just calm down." Seriously, he was like a dog when you spoke to him in that stupid voice, Shu just went... Well, bananas. Smiling exasperatedly Takeshi reached out and placed a hand on Shu's shoulder to make him stop bouncing, rolling his eyes before looking at his brother amused. "Can you relax until then?"

Sayomi shouldn’t be getting annoyed at Vegeta for simply holding the Humans back from the bounties of space. It wasn’t a pride thing that was holding it back from the sounds of it, but guilt and worry that something might go wrong. Humans couldn’t be that evil and there were plenty of other races that had space travel but were probably of the same strength and temperament as the Humans. Sighing a little, she looked to Vegeta once more, “You could always set up an exhibition. Take them with you if you must; show them what the universe holds. I’m sure explorers will be pretty excited about going to other planets and seeing their world beyond the stars. If there are some people out there you trust, then it will make a perfect project”.

Sayomi did wonder what would happen to her world once they were finally free of the King whether it would change completely or she would still be working and fighting. She didn’t get to fight often, even though she did like it, but she still didn’t like the thought that every one of her actions had consequences and she couldn’t freely go out and fight others as a result. She didn’t know what she wanted to do after it was all finished, maybe continue trying to stabilise nations and help with the recovery effort or maybe she’ll take a vacation. Korian was able to do that by himself, even if her vacation was just travelling around with him. Frowning slightly, she looked to Vegeta, “Well, it’s not hard to find the lab on this vessel. You should be able to follow the signs fairly easily from here”, she spoke calmly, turning slightly towards the door, “You should be careful with the equipment, but you should find an assistant not too far away as well. If they complain, just tell them to contact me immediately so that I may slap them around a bit”.

Viral didn’t care about their plans of actions in the end of things; he just enjoyed going through these war tasks and correcting them, giving them his version of a battle while he played it out in his head. If Korian wanted to go with this plan then they had to as well and to hell he wanted to go in using a crappy plan. This was going to be a disaster if he wasn’t able to take some sort of lead in this, making him feel all sort of edgy if Korian was going to take all the glory. He should barely be allowed to call himself a Commander if he had to get advice for something so simple. Narrowing his gaze at him, he grunted and waved his hand dismissively, “We can do what we wanted to do during the trips; we don’t even know the location of one of the planets we need to go to yet”, he spoke quickly, shaking his head, “I don’t even know the purpose of this war…tch! How it started it beyond me...just because some jackass decided to take charge because he had a lot of power?? Hmph! Saiyans have such a ‘follow the leader’ mentality, it’s unreal…”

Shu hoped things could be sorted with him before all the horrors and terrors caught up with all of them, his anxious mind needing to find some way to settle before the war was over. He didn’t want to end up freaking out all the time and changing because he wasn’t strong enough to control himself. The thought of fruit was something that definitely delighted Shu at this point though, his simple mind distracted by the thought of eating sweet fruit that he so enjoyed, even if it was frozen, “Back on the ship?? We should go! Friend T’charrl could also have banana! Friend might like them too!” Getting all excited, it was hardly settled when Takeshi tried to stop him from bouncing, his knees shaking as if still trying to, “Maybe! Relaxing is hard, especially with everything! I don’t want to sleep, I don’t know when I should sleep…but I also don’t want to anyway; I want to have yummy food!”

Recruiting for the rebels, not exactly at the top of anyone's "Things I want to do" list. Nonetheless the group had agreed to undertake the mission. If nothing else it was an excuse to revisit some old friends and get in a bit more traveling before the serious business began. For Viral it meant having more time to try and work on himself, with the help of Vegeta of course. T'charrl would have some more time to practice as well and maybe find a way to revert back to himself soon. The others took the time to train and relax, trying to retain a sense of normalcy despite the battle coming up. It was going to be a bit of a race to get everything done before the battle was slated to begin and the pressure was pretty real. Aside from recruiting they had to help sort their friends out, find Namek, wish Vegeta's parents back and now also look into something for Vegeta as well. Simply put, a ton of work in not a lot of time. Ah well, at least they were going to be kept busy if nothing else.

The first stop on their trip was Shaharia, a planet that no one present had been on in quite some time. For the Princes and Viral they were familiar with the world, however slightly so. The others had never been on this world even once and weren't quite sure what to expect. The arid, flat world must have come as quite the shock to someone like T'charrl who was used to lush, green forests. Those from Earth weren't all too caught off guard, they had deserts like this back home, just not to the same scale. Even so as the world came into view and they got ever closer to landing there was a collective sound of surprise at the planet's appearance. Hopefully no one here hated the heat as it was going to be awfully muggy on the surface. Not to mention the sandstorms that were being whipped up, especially as the ship touched down on the surface. It was probably a safe measure to get something to protect themselves from the sand while they went into the city. Having found the same one as before by the abandoned ship depot on the outskirts the group had settled down out in the flat open expanse, trying to avoid landing too close to anything and making people worry. Their landing had been anything but discreet either way so people had probably taken notice by now. Safe bet to send in someone they were familiar with.

"Man... It's been a while since we were here!" Takeshi said, smiling as he looked out the door of the ship. It was kind of nostalgic to have returned to Shaharia, and this time they weren't going to have to fight Viral. Shame it wasn't a nicer planet for them or they could actually come here to relax sometime. Probably better to go to somewhere like Kaesstra or even Uuonoe for that, a world that was at least slightly like their own. For this particular trip it would only be himself and Shu going to speak with the Shaharian leader, along with T'charrl who wanted to experience a new planet. Viral had been here before too but not under the best of pretenses so it was decided that it would be best for him to stay on the ship. Takeshi (Yumi really) took the precaution of getting them clothing that would help them better while wandering around in the desert, as even being out for a short time could be challenging. Each of the three were given white cloaks to help shield themselves both from the winds, sand and the sun. In the case of T'charrl it was more of a modified bed sheet, but semantics.

"Remember, you three are just here to find whoever is in charge and ask for some help. We've got too much to do to hang around here for long." Vegeta was very much doing his best to keep on schedule and get all they had to do over with. He was feeling pressured still despite Sayomi telling him to relax and it showed a fair bit. Rubbing at his forehead the Saiyan glanced out the doorway as well, seeing the town off in the distance. "I'm guessing your scouters will work here, I didn't notice any interference when we were landing. So take these with you and if anything comes up let us know."

Needing scouters on this planet was a little silly, Takeshi didn't think these aliens would even consider being hostile towards him and Shu. Just to humor Vegeta though he took the scouters with a nod, handing them over to his brother and T'charrl respectively. "Yeah yeah, you got it. We'll let you know if we're suddenly taken hostage or something," he joked, smirking as he affixed the device to his ear. Right then, time to go see some old friends! Hopefully that leader of theirs was still around, if not he hadn't a damn clue who they were supposed to go to for help. "Come on guys," Takeshi said, stepping out the door and jumping down onto the ground, "Help's not going to find itself!" What they were going to get from the Shaharians was a bit of a mystery, he couldn't remember them having all that much before anyways. If Korian thought it was worthwhile then they would look into it, maybe bring back a nice rock or something for him.

T’charrl hadn’t been on a world that was so big and vast, even looking at it from the window when they were arriving was intimidating. It was yellow and looked near absent of any green, something that greatly worried him. His kind weren’t adapted to such high temperatures and he had been told to get covered up pretty well on this planet or the heat and sand would get too much. He had never seen sand before so that was going to be a fascination, but he didn’t know if he was going to do too well when it was so hot. He was already pretty large and pretty hairy on top so that was going to bother him greatly. The only answer was he was given a large makeshift sheet to cover himself and only hope that he would be able to keep cool enough and not end up fainting. He didn’t know why he was being taken along to see these aliens if he was such a bother, but he was certainly feeling curious concerning these aliens and their world.

Hearing that Shu and Takeshi had been here before made him wonder what happened to bring them here, considering neither of them looked like they particularly enjoyed the heat. Staring out the door of the ship, T’charrl let out a long sigh as he could only wonder what he might find out there if this was just the starting point. It was so strange seeing so much sand and it looked hot too; he couldn’t even pick up any water in the air. It was certainly a curiosity as to how aliens could live on this planet, especially when the most basic compound life needed was water. Looking to Vegeta, he frowned a little as he decided to give them scouters, taking one from Takeshi and adjusting it himself. He did wonder whether he was going to find friends out there or just strangers, kind of hoping they were going to be familiar to the brothers.

Looking to Takeshi, T’charrl couldn’t help but frown at his joke before he let out a sigh, deciding to head on down to the ground. Jumping out as well, he chattered when he hit the sand, lifting his feet up quickly at each step, “Ah! Hot!” He couldn’t even find it possible to put his feet on the ground nevermind his claws so he could walk, his eyes quickly going to Takeshi, “This what it’s like the entire way? How does anything live here?” He was certainly feeling the heat already, finding it hard to move and even take his steps without it burning. Maybe he would eventually get used to it, but soon he would probably have to flap his wings to get rid of some of the heat and who knows if his wings could be able to withstand the sand without turning into rags.

Shu found it hard to walk on the stand too, but that was because he was barefooted too and it was generally normal for him when shoes made it hard to walk around. Squealing away as he tried to walk around, he was soon running around in circles before making a sudden stop at Takeshi and T’charrl, smiling widely at the pair, “You get used to it! It’s so dry and hot! But friends love dry and hot, they do”, he spoke quickly, turning to look in the direction of the town from before, “I hope they’ve made their houses look better after what happened…I mean, you and Mister Viral sure did wreck the place! Big stones everywhere! Not fun to live in, right?”

Coming back to Shaharia was going to be interesting, it felt like a long time ago since they had been here. In a way it had been, over a month at least, but it felt longer. If this was the right town then the residents probably still did remember him and Shu, so they wouldn't have to waste breath explaining who they were. Good, because this planet was even warmer than Takeshi remembered, and as soon as he stepped down the stairs onto the surface it was like standing in an oven. "Holy crap... Does this place have summer...?" he mumbled, already feeling the heat. At least it was a dry heat and not muggy like in Shu's beloved jungles, he hated feeling all sticky and hot, it was gross. He'd prefer no heat at all if possible, that would be nice. "Huh? Oh, well they're basically lizards. They can live in hot places like this and there is water or them, it's just kind of hard to find. And... Yeah, it's going to be this warm the whole way. I did warn you it was going to be different." T'charrl wanted to see other worlds though so they were going to let him. If he thought this was bad he would be in for a real shock when they reached Pagonia, if he even joined them there.

Watching both Shu and T'charrl bounce about from the hot ground Takeshi laughed shortly, rolling his eyes when his brother finally came to a stop. This is why he wore shoes, especially in a place like this. Sure, his feet were already sweaty and were probably going to stink to hell but they weren't really burning, which was nice. If everyone was done with their antics they could get moving, the town wasn't all too far off and ought to only take a few minutes to reach. Takeshi took the initiative per usual to lead them on, fairly eager to get inside where it would at least be a little cooler, plus the absence of wind. "Hey, I didn't do any of that on purpose you know! I was trying to stop Viral, it's not my fault if a few homes got wrecked," Takeshi said defensively, looking back at Shu. A few homes, the roads, people, who knows how many personal belongings. Okay so maybe he had contributed a little bit to the mess, but it wasn't all his fault, Viral had definitely helped. "Now that you mention it though I really hope they're not sore about that, otherwise it's going to be pretty damn hard getting anything from them."
