Mary shakes a little as one of the aliens grab her throat and strangle her for fun. She tries to squirm, and is dropped. The reason she is dropped is because she started to scream because of the handcuffs electrocuting her.

"I'll wait here for the Squad Leader to get back down the stairs." Sarah says, tapping her foot and waiting. In the distance, she can hear what seems to be screams.

James made quick time down the stairs and stopped at ground level. He motioned for Sarah to follow and then kept going down.

Victor did as he said he would and when he reached the floor he popped a small optical wire out into the hall and sent the video to both james and Sarah. They would see the hall filled with the gorrilas and a tall slender alien in armor commanding some of the small mask wearing aliens.

Sarah nods, and follows James down. Mary continues to scream out as a brute grabs her arms and spreads them to imitate her struggling against the cuffs, which in return electrocute her some more. Mary closes her mouth and clenches her fists. The pain was so bad she couldn't even scream anymore. The ONI man saw her distress, and suddenly leaped at the gorilla alien holding her arms, and as a result, a spike was shot into his head. Mary gasps as her pilot's uniform gets a scratch across it due to a pissed off gorilla, revealing a small amount of navy blue material beneath, and what looks like a tiny portion of a symbol. She gets several more scratches in other places of her uniform, and the same material is there. The alien holding her lets her drop to the ground, and the pain stops. That was a minor blessing.

James sees the landing for floor D4. he reached it and had his shot gun ready. he made sure it was fully loaded and then ran into the hall he saw 4-5 of these gorilla things. 2 turned to face him and he quickly aimed the shotgun and fired it point blank into their faces. they fell to the ground missing the top portion of their heads. " never piss off a guy with a shotgun or it will hurt like hell" he said as he ran up to the next one. this one turned its gun on him and he was force to fall to the ground and fire 3 blasts into the beast chest to bring it down.

Victor opened the elevator the rest of the way and spent a full clip from his assault rifle into one of the creatures. he dropped to his knees when it leveled its weapon at him. it fired several time but he held its arm above him. he pushed off the ground with all his strength sending the beast flying into the wall behind it and giving him time to reload.

Mary heard gunshots, and the gorilla that looked like the leader cam out with it's hammer. The brutes in her room prepared their guns, and aimed at the door.
Sarah aimed her pistol at one of the creatures, and fired several times into it's face. As an addition to making the thing look uglier, the alien dropped to the ground. Sarah began to walk to the next door, and prepared to breach.

James smiled and then took one to the grenades that these creatures had. he charged the door but was forced to stop when the one with a hammer got in his way. he drew his shot gun but was sent flying when the beast slammed its hammer onto the ground. as he was in the air he used a bit of medical tape to tie two frag grenades to the spiked grenade he had grabbed. he tossed the bundle over to Victor just before he went through a wall head first.

Victor caught the grenade in one hand and then landed on the ground. he charged the beast with the hammer. it raised the hammer and Victor took a second to pull the pins on the frags. he slammed the spiked grenade into the chest of the beast and it stuck in place. he pushed off the beast with his full strength sending it stumbling back towards the door and him back towards safety.

( the grenades will blow up and kill the remaining brutes and they will take the full blast mary would only take a bit of the heat wave after the explosion. we may not be able to use their weapons fully just yet but can improvise using them. unless you want me to change this post in which case i can.)

Mary watched as the large beast tumbled through the door and exploded, the other creatures dying with the explosion. She was only hit by the heatwave that came from the large explosion. However, this wave caused a part of her armour to catch fire, which was put out by rolling on the ground. The rolling was joined by screaming a little because of the shocks that came with what the handcuffs thought was her trying to take them off.

Sarah runs through the door, spots Mary, and runs quickly over to her. Sarah takes a close look at the cuffs. "Spartan, you need to break these cuffs." She calls to Victor, as Mary gets to her knees. Sarah then walks around the front of Mary. "Thank god. I thought we'd a body-bag." Sarah then takes a look at the state of Mary's armour, and her eyes widen a bit. Underneath the armour, Mary was wearing a navy blue uniform, the navy blue starting to look a lot like like grey now that most of the armour was burnt. The thing that was surprising her was that on that uniform was the Office of Naval Intelligence's insignia. Mary was part of ONI.

Victor walked in and looked at the handcuffs he did a quick data base check and set to work at disabeling the electrical pulses keeping the cuffs active.

James walked in and smiled he had wondered why Mary had been called in and given the task of retaking the oni building.

(ONI officers wouldn't be registered as ONI in any database apart from ONI's database itself.)

Mary quickly takes the cuffs off. "Thank you. Now, we need to get down to sublevel E2. There is a new pelican prototype there. And you all know who I am now, I think." She removes the pilot's armour from herself, as it was damaged and of no use. She was left in her ONI uniform, a light grey uniform. From a small pouch, she takes out a high powered headset, and slips it onto her head. "And from there, I suggest we get off of this planet and back to my prowler. The planet is clearly lost."

Sarah takes a step closer to Mary. "Hold on, I ain't abandoning this planet." She says, suddenly turning a bit angry.

(He was checking the cuffs make on the database.)

James and victor both looked at Sarah and said " drop it." James took over and said " you and I both have seen the news. Planets falling out of contact. Well I did some hunting and every single time Spartans are on the planet before it goes dark. Its over we can't win this fight."

Victor is busy taking everything he can carry for them to analize.

Sarah makes a sort of growling noise, turns, and walks to the corner of the room in a state of anger. "It's not fucking fair." She mumbles to herself.

Mary looks at Sarah, and sighs, then looks back at James. "We can. These are just the outer colonies. The inner ones have more ships, and I doubt that they will be able to attack Reach and live." She sighs. "Come on. We need to get moving. And quickly." She began to walk out of the room, but Sarah shook her head and remained where she was. "I am not leaving this planet." She says. "You'll have to force me to."

Victor walks out of the room with Mary leaving james with Sarah. " I know how you feel Sarah but staying here does nothing for anyone. If the rest of the squad was here they would say the same thing. We have already lost this battle but the war has only just started. They need us out there. Its the only way we can honour the fallen. So are you with me or do I add you name to the dead?" He says

Sarah stares up at him for a few seconds. "I know that you won't leave me that easily." She shakes her head lightly. "Fuck. Fine." She stands up. "But you owe me a guarana brazilia." She smiles lightly at the thought of drinking one. It had been a while since she had been to Brazil, on Earth. She herself was half Brazilian, half Scottish. "And some haggis." Sarah begins to stand. Then, she hugs James.

Mary taps her foot a little, staring down the corridor. "Spartan, I need a gun." She says, turning to look at Victor.

James normally didn't like to let people close but he wrapped his arm around her and patted her back. " don't worry you'll get all if it that you can handle. We will win this war. The two of us may die but I'm positive that the human race will win." He the stepped back and turned to leave his battle rifle ready.

Victor handed held out both his assault rifle and his pistol so she could chose which one she wants.

Sarah nods, and readies her pistol, walking out of the room. Mary takes the pistol from Victor. "Thank you." She turns to look at Sarah and James. "Right. We're all going to go to sublevel E2. Then we're going to take the pelican to my prowler, as we discussed." Mary smiles lightly at Sarah. "Thanks for coming." She then turns, and begins to walk, gun ready. Sarah follows.
