There! I incorporated her mother into the plot. I done it!

Now the story is taking a dark turn. I wonder how this will affect the relationship between Issa and Michael?

I think in a way, their bond has grown stronger. Basically, since my character's appearance changed, this is how it'll be pretty much from now on. Not only is Michael now a bit stronger, but Oblivion is now his main weapon. He can still dual wield, but that's just a minor change in his primary weapon. Since Issa had formed a bond with Michael and had taken in some of his magic, she now can wield Oathkeeper. Basically, Michael is now in what I would like to call his Dark Form.

I doubt she could even lift the thing but ok. xD And she would never wield it unless her life or those she cares for life's are in danger.

It's actually pretty light. For the user, anyway. Anyone else except for Issa or Michael it will be as heavy as Michael's body when Don carried him to Issa's apartment.
