Merlin is a wizard of Arthurian lore. He is in reality, both Arthur, the King, and Merlin the wizard, in reality. He has awoken from his entombment in a magical tree on the island of Avalon, a magical island that is between many worlds. Merlin has been alive since the sixth century, and he exists somehow outside of time as an extra dimensional being. He has had many enemies. Contrary to common belief, Merlin's enemy was not Morgan Le Faye. It was her sister, Morgause. He fought Morgause, Mordred and many other enemies with a battle of wit and strategies as a comatose man for hundreds of years from the dream world. Eventually, in the 15th century, the Prince of Wallachia, Vlad the Impaler, or Vlad Dracula, died fighting the Turks. He cursed God for abandoning him and became a creature of the Night, becoming the monster of Bram Stoker's famous novel.

Now that Merlin has woken up, he has come into a deep rivalry against Dracula, Lord of the Vampires, and Master of Darkness. Dracula seeks to conquer the British Isles, and from there, establish a headquarters to conquer the entire world.

Merlin has his lieutenants, friends and warriors, and Dracula has his. Who will win this battle of wits?

Info:
Merlin and the Dracula are trying to defeat each other in a battle of wills. Sending assassins, finding artifacts, and gaining contacts from important individuals is the goal of this game. Until one of the opponents is beaten.

Yes.

Magic can be like Vancian memorization of spells that disappear temporarily after you learn them, or they could be innately based on you. You can even be Pagan gods in this, by the way. There is such a thing as miracles in this as well. Miracles are a rare kind of "magic" that don't require energy of any sort to be used. (But could have energy reinforcing it). Magic is usually based on some exceptional innate quality of a person. Intelligence, wisdom, force of personality and/or will power. . . or sometimes blood, or pieces of someone's own body, not in a sacrificial way but a practical way. Other times, magic is based on the force of The Geas, that is Covenants, promises, etcetera.

Magic-Use also depends heavily on what century you are playing in. If you are a sorcerer from Ancient Sumer thousands of years ago, it might be almost the same way magic is used for centuries or thousands of years, but if you are a wizard in the 17th century your powers maybe entirely different.

Also, there are other factions you can join other than the two enemies Merlin and Dracula, I was thinking of adding the Illuminati, to this as a third party.
