Within the very hour, the new year would be official…the thousandth year. Veronika observed the festivities down below from the balcony of the repaired theater, her nose scrunching up ever so slightly in undisguised disgust. Ironically, how human the majority of them below made her hate her own grade of human, Too Human. Bodies that moved like they actually danced, android and gynoid standing side by side talking about the grand event like they were going to actually be happy about this, holding and downing coloured—even flavoured beverage like they were humans. Mere imitations, everything down there. Eyes scanning the crowd, she picked up a certain machine straight away by his movements. Too smooth for a human, Fennec may have been in his very caste for moving too well and keeping his AI distinctly under upgraded…and yet he was quite the attention grabber. Like back with the humans, back when he was less human, he could make even the most inexperienced look expert on the dance floor. Whether it had been a human who knew nothing of dance, or a gynoid who hadn’t wirelessly downloaded the dancing algorithms, he moved and moved them. Enough distractions. Focusing back at the task at hand, it was only a few minutes before the final preparations. Like planned, the gynoid on the main stage activated the large holoscreen as the lights of the theater turned down to the darkness, and the life feed of the laboratory with the cryostasis equipment appeared. The scientific machines and lab technicians either didn’t look happy, or tried to look professional for the live feed. The beautiful, very human like gynoid on stage smile and gestured to the scene shown on the hologram, “In, like, a few minutes, our special guest will be waking up in the laboratory in the adjoining building~!” The crowd applauded at this, the gynoid continued in the valley girl accent, and Veronika was distinctly unhappy about all this. ----- On the other side of the same city, a holoscreen appeared in the middle of the street, giving a certain café the chance to take in the live event. Seeing the cryopod centered in the feed, the café had to wonder if the human would be sore from her rest in the same position for a thousand years…did she like coffee? Decafe? Or maybe she’d like tea or hot chocolate? This was…the first human in centuries, and very well the last.

It has been a thousand years since the last human had died from the illness, only one of them was left alive in cryostasis. The whole room was full of machines and other technicians who knew how to work the machine over the years it had been changed slightly to keep it's occupant alive. Standing just outside of the ice crusted glass containing the young human girl, was Felix he was designed by Andrea's father to keep her safe from anything that would hurt her. "You know, you look like you shut yourself down by standing there right?" Said a blond gynoid wearing a labcoat, her movements were almost human like still slightly robotic but no one could tell. "I was made to watch over her." Felix told her and looked back towards Andrea and then towards Sophia the head doctor who knew the most about humans stood there. "How much longer until you thaw her out?" Felix asked, looking up at the cameras that were in the room, he was slightly uncomfortable with them all around. Sophia took out her tablet and approached the cryotube that held Andrea and did a quick scan over it. "Less than an hour before we take her out, don't worry everything is stable we are slowly bringing up the temperature in there and pulling out the tubes to keep her fed and sleeping." Sophia answered before heading back towards the observation room that over looked the room containing every readings coming from Andrea. "Heart rate is going up, any minute now, you may want to catch her when she gets out." Sophia told Felix. Inside the café looking up at the holoscreen watching the live newsfeed with the other occupants sat John drinking a coffee and leaning back in his seat with some mild interest as they started to bring the human back to the living world. Feeling the temperature starting to rise, Andrea slowly started to open her eyes, all she could see was the condensation that covered the glass window of her small tube she was held in for the past several years, and eventually the window finally cleared she could hear a female's voice barely saying. "She's awake, Felix catch her." Said the female voice, Andrea could hear the loud hissing sound as her tube opened up the young woman slowly started to try and walk on her own two feet before losing her balance and then falling out before she was caught in Felix's arms her naked body pressed up against his body.

Watching her nails, looking out to the machines watching the live feed, anything from having to watch the human...biting and pulling a nail painfully from her finger with her teeth, the faux nerves screamed pain, but Veronika finally got up from her balcony of the theater. Holding a hand up to the server, she took a colourful beverage and finally decided to leave. Humans made her feel utterly rev--sick. Sick like a dog, sick like a human. She hated this. Making her way down the dark halls, ignoring the gynoid on stage now making commentary, Veronika pushed her slit dress lightly before mounting the hovercycle and speeding off. Fennec, on the other hand stood mesmerised by the human. After a thousands years, finally, the return of humanity. The gynoid, android, all humanoid machines attending the party were silently watching the human. Silent for a long time, before erupting into applause, like this was some sort of theater performance. Make no mistake, there has been a play made based on this particular project, all about the human taken out of stasis and coming to live among the perfect beings that were humanoid machines. Of course, in the play he watched, the acting gynoid was at least wearing underwear as she 'awoke'...emulating the need for societal norms, even then. But the real thing, the girl falling out weakly in such a manner, limply...too, too real. Fennec joined the applause, not sure what he thought, though feeling supremely...happy? Cafe du Amis nearly spouted out some coffee from a serving station, catching the live feed from the hologram like everyone else. With pretty much most of his original programming in tact, though the times have most obviously changed, he still had programmed in societal norms and the display on live television was still considered considerably vulgar. Still, with the tame program that made him more human, "O-oh, nude?"
