Okay. Updated. Introduced some corruption elements and youth delinquency.

Is my writing style a little dry for the genre? Honestly, I feel like it is.

Also, I feel like I haven't added many flaws. I mean, I want to express them through behavior rather than through his story (because story doesn't necessarily reflect personality) but... geh, he's a bit too flawless.

I was already thinking that our two characters would at least know of each other, both being long-serving New Bath natives who spent time as patrolmen, and the stuff you just added to his backstory works really well with that.
I'm thinking the month you mention (the drug murder crime wave), and the month I mention (stealing evidence and assaulting a guy) might be the same month? Like the stake-out Izzy was on when he beat on the high-schooler was to do to the murders because, you know, he was a vice cop and they were drug-related.

I dunno, but there's a lot to potentially work with.

No, I'm with you on that. Character flaws can only really be expressed through story uunless they're tied into the character's backstory. Some may well develop or come to light as the story progresses and morally challenging situations present themselves.

That's how I intend to play it anyway.

That sounds good to me. Maybe I had part of the case against you and influenced your demotion while, at the same time, getting demoted myself. Although it's a little weird that the department punished both you (clean department) and me (corrupt department). Maybe it was just to save face, in your case.

However you want to play it, I am assuming that if you were part of the case against me I wouldn't be aware of that (because if I was then I could have potentially tried to lean on you). So I would just know you as "good officer who tried to stand up to corruption" instead of "that asshole who tried to get me fired"

Colour me excited, I am ready to solve some crimes.

I'm glad to see you fleshing the world out a bit, bringing it to life.

A note to everyone: You've all got creative license with NPCs although those directly involved with the case you'll be given a vague template by the co-ordinator of how to play them (e.g. nervous drug addict, confident and un-flinching politician, ever so-slightly creepy and ridiculously calm and evasive lawyer/sociopath).

@Ariamis You can have it as his transfer in like myself and Giant did or as already being at the precinct for a couple of days. It's up to you, depending on how much you want to set up the character information like family etc.
