I'm interested in this pretty greatly. I'm assuming you have a world idea sort of set out already? And, as another odd question, does this relate to your DnD thread in any way?

(EDIT: If so, which edition and would you be interested in perusing a possible inclusion of Dungeon World rules that I think are amazing? It's another tabletop rpg.)

@Aphelion It is related in every way! :D Yeah, I have a name, calendar, water percentage in oceans and rivers as well as ice percentage. Basic continents in process. Needs populated though, and I'd rather have a team behind that huge effort. Gods perhaps need made. Basic world info without populating with intelligent life and society is first step at the moment.

@Aphelion Well I was thinking of adapting a mix of classic with 3&4 so that we get the solid foundation as well as the wide variety that the later editions deliver. Up for suggestions?

And we would be adhering to DnD races at this point, yes? Or can we make variations and lore for our own?

Going to be honest, I haven't played 3e, but I've DMed 4e a few times. I'm sort of a newbie to DnD in that regard. I heard 3.5 was pretty amazing.

@Aphelion As a base race system of course, but like a say. World first, people later. But as a side note, yes we can ofc create our own adaptation and all together new races and lore if we so decide later in the process

Hmmm. If I could get more info from you, I'd start brainstorming. I usually create the landscape around the people I imagine, but I can do it whichever way, or both ways. Edits can always be done later. Do you have maps/continents sketched out yet? (I could help in that regard if you'd like, but I'm rusty-ish at map making)

I like creating people/worlds, cultures, societies, enemies. I love villains, or evil races as a side-hobby.

@Aphelion Oh and I have used (but altered) the calendar system from Golarion for our world. Which is called, open to critism: Luomisen Palo.
roughly translted from finnish it mean : creation of fire.

@AphelionWell my exams are for the following month and 1/2 and this is a completely new project so what I have already mentioned is all I have. Howver, my mam is an artist, so I may ask her for help on a sketched map, and if you feel those are your strong points you could get started on a dwarven race with an underground demain in a mountanious realm. No specific characters other than perhaps a ruler or tyrant but include cities, towns overall population, Dietys and culture (go as in depth as you wish with this one) also general classes and common stations. You know how it goes. Take your time though, even a brief outline would be great:)

@Aphelion lol. Its a good year cycle. But like i say I've edited it: Two moons. 14 months. and 387 days, 388 every 9 years. The year is 1436 DI ( Doti Inscripta - basically means since recording of years etc. began)

3.5 is like... Imagine a good old classic sponge cake, delicious. Thats the classic. Then throw in 5 tonnes of cane sugar and you got something SWEEETTTT (3.5)
