The sight of Sodalite had shattered Eve's non-existent heart into a million pieces. The words of Sodalite had crushed them into nothing but dust. And as she began to walk away, Eve was sure the dust would simply cease to be if she let her leave. Thus with a glow of her eyes, she lifted Sodalite off the ground, leaving her unable to continue on her way. Rising up to her level and grabbing her wrists, she spoke, looking her dead in the eyes, though it pained her to do so.

"And what about you?"

Eve took in a shaky breath and bit down on her lip, giving Sodalite's wrists a small shake.


"Do you hear yourself, Sodalite? You cannot tell me," she said, her voice raising in pitch and eventually cracking, "that you're doing fine on your own, can you?"

She shook her head in disbelief. "Sodalite. Sodalite, Sodalite, Sodalite. You're wrong. Reggie doesn't need me. He's been fine for years without me, and if I were to leave, he'd be okay eventually. But you...You shouldn't need me, you deserve better than me, and yet-" Another shaky pause, this one accompanied by a sniffle; the little gem was dangerously close to crying, "Y-Yet you...Listen to yourself. Listen to yourself. Listen to your voice. Look at your eyes. Tell me you're not hurt. Tell me I didn't hurt you when I left. I dare you. Tell me, tell me truthfully, completely and utterly so, that I didn't. Because I know I can't. And it shows, it shows and it's painful to see but it shows that it's the same for you. I don't deserve you, and you deserve better, but we need each other, Sodalite. Not Reggie. Please, please don't do this again. Stop hurting yourself like this."

I'm not even sure Bloodstone can still qualify as a villain. Antagonist for sure, but he's stepping closer and closer to anti-villain status. But yes, I love Bloodstone.

@Loony@pyroman Reggie says absolutely nothing, as this was something that had rather little to do with him.

@LoonyThe sensation of being lifted into the air was strange, but it wasn't enough to get her to talk. Her head hung low, her arms limp as her wrists were grabbed by Evenkite. What about her? She had to strengthen herself. She was hurting, more than she could put into words, but it was irreverent in her own eyes. What mattered was Evenkite's safety and condition, as well as the safety and condition of the earth and it's native inhabitants.

"Eventually." She echoed. Everything would happen eventually, but the important thing was what would be going on in the direct future. Reggie would probably be thrown through a loop, she assumed.

The more and more Evenkite spoke, the harder it was for Sodalite to keep her walls up. Tears threatened to fall, and her mind grew even more tired than before. It wasn't about her, Sodalite reminded herself. The truth of it was that she'd just continue to decompose without Evenktie, and even while Evenkite's truth was right in front of her, she still refused to believe it.

Tears fell. She couldn't keep it balled up anymore. It was a good minutes of only crying before she could manages to speak coherently. "I... Eve...So sorry..." She couldn't speak any more, but her hands moved to get her wrists free from Eve. Instead, she took her hands, and swayed slowly from side to side. It was so much harder to put thoughts into words, but maybe she didn't need to speak them...

OH, I forgot to say this earlier(or maybe I did but it warrants restating) the school year starts tomorrow for me, so their might be a slight delay in when I can post until after I get out and stuff,
