As Maleficent walked passed Legolas and onto the ship, Legolas kept looking upon her. Something about this woman was familiar to him but he couldn't nail it down. She should be dead, Legolas thought. Father told me that she was a demon, but who is she really?

Maleficent stood near a rail that was near Loki, looking over it with her hands upon her staff. Her maple brown hair blew in the wind as she looked upon the horizon.

Loki looked over to Maleficent once he was calm, though smiled which turned into a small laugh. With all that he had just been though, he thought to just laugh and carry on. Shake off the fear that he was feeling. Or at least hide it really well. "That was fun. And we got the chart." The smile still on his face. He stood as he looked to her as she gazed out. "Mother?" He looked in the direction she was looking toward. "Are you alright?" Loki wondered if she was missing home. He would understand with both its protectors gone and not defending it and preserving life within. Loki was missing home too.

Maleficent looked upon the horizon, merely shutting out her surroundings as she did so. Hearing her 'son' talking to her, she shook her head a little before looking upon him. "Hmm? Oh, I'm fine", she answered him with a reassuring smile before looking back to the spot she was looking at. "It's just..", she paused. "It's been so long since I left the Moors. I've been sitting in a tree all my life with you and...I almost forget what it's like outside of it", the fairy sighed sadly after she looked down.

Loki looked to his mother with curious yet widened eyes. He was surprised. For all those years within his life, he thought she had at least gone out of the Moors once or twice. His Emerald eyes now looking at him in disbelief. "Really, mother? I would have thought that once I was old enough and before you had found me, that you would have gone to visit outside the Moors a few times at least." Loki admitted his thoughts. However he just smiled and looked happy. "We'll be seeing our fair share now. Maybe being away for a while isn't so bad. Maybe without having so much danger around." Loki admitted, trying to lighten the mood. Looking down at the Chart that was still within his care, Loki then looked toward the horizon. "I guess I might need to do some problem solving." He turned to let his mother watch the horizon while he went to Bard who was at the wheel. "So. Now all that there is to do is find Captain Killian with the chart. Doesn't seem so hard." Loki opened the container that had the chart within and pulled it out and unrolled it to look at it and seemed confused. "Nevermind. How does this chart work?" The Jotun asked curiously with a puzzled expression.

Bard heard Loki's question of the map as soon as he opened it. Nodding to Legolas to take the wheel, the sailor approached Loki with the map. "These charts are not like any other map on paper. Instead of directions, it has rings", he began as he touched one of the circular parts on the map and miraculously, the ring was spinning in a circle. "It's a map of the world, etched. By rotating these rings, and lining one up with the other, you can find any number of mystical locations", he showed Loki as he moved the rings and one lined up to the other, which formed into words. "Now, these words can be revealed as locations, such as 'Ghosts of Lost Souls at Sea to be Shepherded Through the Watery Passageway,' 'Forgotten Sailors Sleep with Eyes Open Dreaming of a Salt Water Death', or 'The Rich Man Finds No More Hope of Continued Life-Death Will Always Be A Stairway Behind'", he said each word that showed while moving the pieces. "If you line them up correctly, the chart would allow you to go in the right direction. However, as many times this has been used, the dates and distances can change and it could mislead the one who uses the chart unwisely", he added with grim.

As the ship kept sailing, it appeared to sail through the land of the cold, Jotunheim, also Loki's birthplace, through the cold waters. Harshly cold it was, everyone on the boat was covered in ice as is the boat is covered as well. Everyone except Loki, was shivering. Eric and Legolas look over the charts as Eric began moving the rings. "Nothing here is set. These can't be as accurate as modern charts", Eric commented as he shivered. "No, but it leads to more places", Legolas responded as Eric moved one of the pieces, reading from it. "'OVER THE EDGE OVER AGAIN. SUNRISE SETS FLASH OF GREEN'. Do you care to interpret, Captain Bard?", he called to Bard who was at the wheel, also covered in ice, but didn't shiver as much. "Ever gazed upon the green flash, Eric?", he asked him. "It happens on rare occasion. At the last glimpse of sunset, a green flash of light shoots up into the sky. Some go their whole lives without seeing it, some claim to have seen it that ain't. Some say...", he paused. "It signals when a soul comes back to this world, from the dead", he finally said after a moment of silence. Maleficent stood upon the deck as she had icicles hanging from her horns and wings as well as her skin showing deathly pale. Even some of the feathers of her wings began to shed.

Sailing to the realm of Jotunheim, Loki come to notice what it was basically like. He never thought that it was this cold, this barren. Though took noticed that he seemed relatively fine, Not cold, nor icicles or frosted over. However everyone else around him was shivering like mad and no way to get more besides the blankets clothing on them, which wasn't really helping. However he was using magic alone to keep himself from turning blue. He didn't exactly like it, but he didn't want to freak anyone out. Looking around the ship, Loki managed to find a decent blanket or large cloth that he took and went over to Maleficent and draped around her and her shedding wings. "Here. I know it isnt much due to this cold." He said, though flicked what icicles that were on her horns. Though over hearing the two men and light elf, Loki looked back to Malieficent before walking over to the two men and the chart that they were working with. "It's interesting. I've never heard of anything like that. Is there anything that can help us get to the world of Helheim?" Hopefully though no one would come to mention about him not shivering and his clothing not affected by the ice.

Maleficent accepted the blanket, but still shivered. Shivering, she followed him to the others that looked over the chart. "Trust me, young Loki", Bard called to him. "It's not gettin' to the land of the dead that's the problem. It's gettin' out that's the problem", he said before the boat began to go between two huge walls of ice, with the ship dissapearing into the darkness. "You now know what it's like here", Maleficent whispered to the Jotun, hoping he knew what she meant. The ship managed to pass through the dark arch of ice before it began to sail on peaceful, clear water with the stars beginning to show above them.

Loki nodded slowly as he thought about what Bard said and thought he had a good point. But he wondered how exactly they were getting there? He though shrugged it off before looking at the two large walls of ice and soon becoming extremely dark. He heard his mother's words and understood. Loki would probably be completely different and maybe not even be here if it wasnt for what happened to him as a baby. But he wondered what Jotun really looked like up close. Though with that thought pushed aside quickly when the darkness were filled with stars. He was amazed with this alone, he wondered how it happened.

Maleficent walked off from Loki after she said these words, suddenly feeling a bit guilty for lying to him about his origin like in the past. She feared to lie to him again. What happened last time, he lashed out at her with words of disbelief. The fairy felt if she kept more things hidden from him, she would feel as if she would lose him forever. Even worse, he might not accept her anymore. It pained her to remember this, but she was still afraid. But did she have more secrets to hide? Eric began to walk up to Loki, so he could be next to him on the rail. "How long till we can talk again?", the huntsman asked him without looking at him. "Why silent your words from me?", he added before finally looking upon him. The wind blew through his hair as he did so.

Loki looked to the darkness that where he saw all the stars. With a Maleficent leaving his side for Eric to come up to him, Loki closed his eyes as he took a deep breath. He opened her eyes and looked ahead still, though didn't speak for a while till he felt right to. "Maybe when you explain and apologize properly instead of leaving so many people in the dark." Loki said in a clear annoyed tone. He then turned to Eric, clearly upset by the sign of his facial expression. "Why didn't you tell me about the raid? Lead me to think that you were dead?"

Eric made a sigh of guilt before he noticed Loki turn to face him with a face that was far away from being happy. Hearing him with a very, very unhappy tone, Eric felt guilt in himself. "I didn't want you to become involved", he admitted honestly after a moment of silent. "I lost you once. I didn't wanna lose you again", Eric said as he stroked Loki's hair with a hand. "I'm so sorry. I really am", he admitted being kissing him on the forehead.

Loki wasnt going to be swayed. He though calmed down only a little, knowing he went well but didn't seem to understand much with his feelings. "Do you realize what you put me through? Put Asgard through? I was depressed. I thought you were dead. Truly dead. I saw Asgard fall, thinking there was no hope at all and Asgard is suffering." The Jotun began to tear up as he let his emotions show. Show Eric how he was when Eric disappeared. "I had to be told the truth by someone else, had to be told realm that you were dead. You could have somehow told me, left me a sign of some sort. Now do you understand?" Loki wanted to be angry. But though Eric wanted to protect him, he was no weakling, He could handle his own. He proved it many times. He was just emotional was all. And sometimes they over ruled his thinking.

"I understand you greatly, Loki. But I never, ever wanted you be stuck in such a position that would risk the safety of both of us", Eric told him as he noticed him tear up. "You were the one thing that I cannot bear to lose!", he told him as he gripped his upper arms. Not meaning to, though.

Loki listened though left Eric's grip on his upper arms and looked pained as he lowered his head. "Ow...please let go..." He didn't want to try and get free for he knew it would only make it worse. "I thought we were to figure things out together, figure out what to do. Not leave the other out of it. I would have came to you. Figure it out. I was in danger, my kingdom in danger. I may not want you to fight by my side in fear of losing you but I would came for help anyway." Loki tried to wipe his tears away. Loki wanted to go think on his own, calm down and try to talk to Eric later when they weren't feeling so frustrated upset. Calmer head needed to be here than so many emotions.

Eric made a light gasp as he noticed that his grip on Loki's grip was hurting him. He slowly let go of him, afraid that he hurt him, but that theory was proven correct. "I'm so sorry", he said sadly before leaning on the railing, away from Loki's face. He had a lot to think about. This wasn't a good time for them.

In the distance, Maleficent watched the two in shock while standing in the shadows. She wanted to approach, but she knew that Loki was a grown adult and that she didn't have to aid him for everything. Perhaps this was a time for him to learn and figure things out on his own. He wasn't a child anymore. She stayed hidden while she continued to watch.

Loki looked at the floor of the ship as he held himself and silently comforted his arms where Eric gripped. Loki figured it was a accident for he knew Eric never meant him harm, not on purpose. He just didnt understand this. He thought would have came to him, gave him some sort of sign that he lived. Not cause him all this pain. With a soft sigh, Loki looked to Eric who didn't look at him. "It is alright. I am sorry too." Loki then walked away to let Eric and himself be alone. Give each other time to think things through. He hoped they could talk again soon and hopefully talk it out and with calmer heads. He walked to the front of the ship where he leaned on the railing and watched the calm water that the stars reflected upon.

After Loki did indeed walk off, Maleficent walked up to Eric. "For what we want most, there is always a cost that must be paid in the end", she said to him as Wric looked down at the locker that she was wearing. He narrowed his eyes in confusion before widening, finally realizing what she meant. He ran from the rail, towards Bard. "Bard! Ahead!", he tells him. "I know. We're good and lost now", he said with a nod.

Loki over heard their shouts and looked to the two men with confused, puzzled eyes. "What? What are you talking about?" He asked, wondering abut what nonsense they spoke of. Bard looked Loki with a smile. "Thats because you must be lost before you can find what can't be found."

"We're gaining speed!", Legolas pointed out after he looked over the edge. "Aye", Bard confirmed with another nod, not really panicking. "To stations! All hands, to stations! Hard to port, gather way, keep it trimmed!", Eric shouted to the crew. "Nay, belay that! Let it run straight and true!", Bard retorted as the crew rushed to try to turn the ship around. "Do you know what this means?", Legolas asked Loki as he looked in the distance of what was coming.

Loki did notice a increase with the wind blowing which really was the ship going faster. Looking back to Bard, Eric and Legolas who were shouting, though listened and noticed this couldn't be good. Looking ahead of them as Legolas looked ahead as well. Loki's eyes widened in horror as he saw a huge waterfall and closing in on it. He growled as he turned abruptly and strode over toward the sailer. "You're trying to kill us!" He accused with hardened glare toward Bard. "Accept it and Brace yourself, lad." Loki was left shocked as he then began to panic. "Brace for cover! He shouted as he then went to try and find his mother. Having no idea where she was, he searched for her. When he found her, he grabbed his mother's arm. "Come on Mother!" Getting her to safety was his priority, which was the chambers before it was too late. He braced for dear life.
