Well, he begrudgingly went Ares for a few reasons. First off, he knew he needed more strength. If he did go any more defensive, his martial arts style would honestly lose effectiveness, as most others would be able to force themselves out of his grapples. Second, his fighting style lends itself extremely well to one v.s one combat. Lets say, for example, he faces multiple foes. Even without Aries debuff, he'd still lose, as he'd not be able to properly pull of his moves, which requires him to remain pretty much stationary, as he works to snap a limb using leverage, or by constricting vital points to slow the flow of blood to the brain to know others out. But, in a one v.s one situation, he's extremely potent, breaking his foes limbs to render normal fighting styles difficult.

Also, he's trying to prove something. A warrior may need to fight...but to fight, without killing takes strength greater than what most warriors have. This is what Cran believes.

@supertinyking I mean, I won't question your decisions or anything. What God you pick is totally your choice, even if I myself think another would work better.

That said, there's nothing mechanically wrong, so you're approved.

@supertinykingYeah, sorry, Cran's about to get something broken unless Dawn vetoes it. Given how Cran's not even blessed at the moment, there's no real chance he has and even holding back, Alexander's probably going to break a bone or two. He's got a Basic Healing Potion, that hopefully isn't poisoned, that he'll hand over though.

PvP combat is perfectly acceptable, as are consequences that come about as a result. The only stance I'll take on PvP is occasionally intervening when needed to provide a third-party objective view, such as if X's sword swing was dodged or if X wound is fatal.

That said, Ares might not be looking for Alexander to just curbstomp a random human with his obvious advantages. I won't say more than that.

Hmm. I wouldn't expect subtlety from Ares...but, I am fine with Cran being beaten up. As long as he's not totally crippled, or killed..it's be a rather short story for me.
