When the lost army, the Green Lantern Corps, returned from an ancient universe that came before their own their ranks continued to dwindle as Sinestro's Corps rose to 'protect' the universe however Sinestro saw fit. The universe didn't want them, the Guardians were no longer around, and even Oa itself was destroyed. Hal Jordan, a renegade Lantern wielding a power gauntlet rather than a ring, took them in as he traveled the stars in his sentient ship Darleen. One night however, the last Lantern from Earth fell victim to the Faceless Hunter who had just freed a Sun Eater that was about to give birth to several smaller almost human sized Sun Eaters in sector 2816. With their leader dead and his power gauntlet and backpack style personal battery destroyed, what hope could they possibly have? That was when a Lantern precog from the planet Naltor predicted there would be a power source found and to their surprise Darleen tracked the corpses of Lantern Stel and another Lantern that was an Alpha with a personal power battery in it's chest. When Darleen and another alien Green Lantern used the pieces to forge a new power source for the Last Army, they chose to go down fighting against the Sun Eaters slowly consuming sector 2816.
The Sun Eaters WON'T however be our only concern. At some point the Sinestro Corps will attempt at taking down the Sun Eaters, and will recruit Batman from sector 2814. After this point Sinestro will want us out of his way which will lead to a confrontation with a Sinestro Corps unit including Yellow Lantern Batman. Sector 2816 is mostly not noteworthy, only the Orange Lantern Glomulus hails from the sector so we could mention his race and Poppo freezing over when the Sun Eater 'mother' begins eating the sun/star of their solar system.
Not all of us will make it to the end. Any dropouts in the 9-12 player cast will be casualties of the war with the Sun Eaters and the Sinestros.
Players can use any cannon race in the DC Universe in this RP, or if needed you can create your own, to make one of the Last Army of GL's. Choose any sector in the 3600 sectors, Earth/2814 is off limits though. We're the last of the Green Lantern Corps. Jumping around the universe in Hal Jordan's old ship and powered by the guts and mechanical organs of Stel and an Alpha Lantern. We're wanderers of the cosmos and we've seen and done a lot in our experiences as Lanterns. Character Sheets will be more in depth than my usual superhero RP sheets and there will be sub-classes for our powers and abilities.
This is just an iCheck so I'm gonna toss the idea out there and see if any of you guys wanna even attempt something like this. I'll be taking the aforementioned precog from Naltor. Most of this is inspired by the new game Destiny and the old Final Night mini series from the 90's. I know of at least a few people who are down for this, looking for a full cast though of around 9-12. I'll post links later on today with more info on how the Sun Eaters will be reinterpreted, alien races in the DCU, and the sub-classes for our alien powers/constructs.
