Here the world shall be filled in, each post is a dot of color on its vast canvas.

Magic:
Neither banned nor practiced openly, magic is an awesome and mysterious thing to most. The power of magic within the populace of the world is not unlike that of a pyramid. Those at the bottom possess no magical skills at all, though archangel Zufferius did suggest that every living thing is kept alive through a magical presence. As the pyramid rises, the potency of the skill becomes greater until you reach the highest echelons of the magical community. An example of a lower pyramid individual would be your average dwarf warrior. A higher magical potency would be Grand Mast Vuld of the Nevromancy cult 'Zarr's Sons'.

Brief Background: Theory comes from a long line of successful business men, a respectful ancestry and bloodline lays behind him. He is not the first of his name to dabble in the magical arts though. He is however the first to survive the said dabbling; Uncle Versie is still being washed from the streets of Bordulas even now.
Ten Word Personality: A vociferous but also adventurous man of wealth and trade.

Brief Background: A young boy chosen by a goddess of light to banish evil. James despite his fate is too young and inexperienced to do much when it comes to these things. James is often the one to be prepared to cook something than be prepared to fight. James is granted with the powers of Light magic and healing from the goddess Koa'.
Ten Word Personality: James is kind and brave despite his faults and weaknesses.
Equipment: Cloth Clothing.
Leather Under-armor.
Short Sword.
Spell Tome.

Appearance:
Aiana has thick, red hair that is usually twisted into tight braids or left to hang in dreads. She is shorter than the typical dwarf, and is heavyset in weight and muscle. She has high cheekbones and a wide nose, and she has piercing blue eyes.

Class/Station: Common Blacksmith

Brief Background: Aiana lives by herself after a series of tragic events. Her parents expired one after the other, and then so did her husband when she was pregnant. Unfortunately, she had a miscarriage. She lives in a small single-bedroom house within the city, above her blacksmith shop.

Ten Word Personality: bold, kind-hearted, charming, cunning, cheerful, optimistic

Equipment: Various blacksmith equipment.

I am curious if you'd allow something unusual but pretty true to form with an Awakened beast or if your setting is more tame and or less strange than that, @Shade.

You would be correct in all of those aspects as I am intending to play an Awakened druid.

The other relevant question that has arisen, @Shade, is what is the sort of environment of the region? I noticed mention of cold seas, so perhaps somewhere more Northern with extended periods of Winter?

Age: 4 (Effectively 33 Years)
Race: Awakened Smilodon
Appearance:
An adult male of his kind and born of the Northern reaches, Mistwalker is identified most easily by his species than anything else. Bearing a thick tawny pelt with darker, irregular striped markings, tremendous sabered canines and mighty paws, his green eyes shine with an unusual glint of intellect and personality that betray his otherwise truly animal appearance.
Class/Station: Fangshields Druid
Brief Background:
Awakened to intelligence from youth, Mistwalker was raised to act as a member of the Fangshields - powerful animal druids who are oft charged with mentoring young, aspiring mortal wards of the druidic art on behalf of elder druids who wish to gain insight if they are truly destined for the calling. A Warden, or a veteran druidic protector, Mistwalker is experienced enough to supervise a charge alone and wield notable command of the natural realm in magic.
Ten Word Personality: An insightful, enlightened beast of cunning and force of nature.
Equipment: None
Spellcasting:
Mistwalker is partial to elemental spellcasting and magical summons of other animals although he is capable of providing brief boons, healing and shapeshifting.

Race: Orc

Class/Station: Sword/ muscle for hire

Brief Background: Grukk came from a tribe of warriors who have divided into two because of disagreements and are constantly at war with one another. Grukk found himself in a situation which led him to not wanting to get involved in killing his own brethren, leading him to leave and explore to open world and take up a job as a sword for hire since his talents are more suited for battle.

Ten Word Personality: A Battle hardened orc who lives by the warrior code.

It is more or less a formality and a "We don't want to piss off the Game Master, so we're going to try and get clarification and or permission first before we do X, Y or Z." or at least that's my approach - I cannot speak for everyone else.
