Yugi looked at him and said "You were being sacrificed to that thing...I couldn't do anything to stop it...it said your shadow couldn't protect you this time...what did it mean?"

Tea looked up at Joey and said "Morning Joey. Would you mind setting the table? We are almost..." Suddenly they heard a cry and a loud thump. Tea and Adam ran into the living room where Serena was fighting to untangle herself from the blankets, her on the floor by the couch. She had the blankt over her head so she couldn't see, cursing loudly. "Bloody thing! Get off you cursed blanket!" Adam was trying not to laugh, covering his mouth. "She isn't a graceful waker...her English is showing"

Surprised, Yami hadnt thought that Yugi might have bad dreams about this red-eyed god. But that it said that his shadow could not protect him this time made him wonder what the god meant as well. He only shook his head. "I do not know. I wish I did."

Joey had looked up to Tea when she said his name and was asking him to set the table. Hearing the Loud thump and a cry, Joey looked over to see the couch no longer had a body on it and instead a body covered in a blanket. He figured it was Serena from her fighting with it. However a groan was also heard as Seto was startled by the cry and loud thump that he glared at the source. Being very quiet, his glare continued before slowly moving to get himself in a sitting position, arranging Mokuba if necessary though making sure to be gentle. Joey decided to help her get untangled from the blanket.

Yugi heard the thump and looked towards the door and said "Looks like Serena is up...maybe she might know who this Shadow is...after breakfast maybe Marik will call and let us know they are here"

Mokuba moved so Seto could get up, smiling at him. "Morning Seto. How are you?"

After Joey helped Serena she looked up at him and said "Thanks...I don't normally sleep with blankets on me...what the heck happened last night? I feel like I was hit by a train" Tea walked over and said "You had a rough night, what matters is that your better now" Serena blinked then said "Crap, I must have been really bad to get you guys that worried."

Yami looked toward the door to hear the thump as well. He smiled at the thought of Serena being up and Malik and Ishizu calling so they could meet up. "Indeed." Was all he could really say. He got off Yugi's bed and went to get dressed.

The Older Kaiba looked to his little brother who had a smile on his face. Seto formed to was to be a small smile, though seemed like a small smirk. "Tired, but awake. How did you sleep Mokuba?"

Joey folded up the blanket as he listened to Serena and Tea. Though grinned with what Serena last said before he joined in. "Naaahh. It was no big deal. Worried? Yes. That bad. Nah. We've been through alot."

Yugi got up as well, throwing clothes to Yami as they got ready and headed downstairs.

HE nodded and said "Pretty good. Its weird, but I sleep better here then at home...oh well" He got up and helped pull Seto. "I think Serena is awake"

Serena got up, looking around. Adam moved forward and hugged her, sighing as he did. "You had me worried, boss...please don't do that again..." She nodded and hugged him back.

Yami got dressed, ready for the day as he would ever get. His usual attire, though also wore the blue school uniform jacket. Not exactly different but gives Yami good memories. He grabbed his Duel disk and slips it into a backback when he hears his phone ring. Looking to his phone that was on his bedside, picking it up to see it was Malik that was calling. Yami looked over to see Yugi was no longer on the room and answers.

Seto seemed to notice this himself when it came to his sleep. It was weird for him as well but he shrugged it off himself. Though if he thought about it real quick it is probably because if they were back home, they basically had targets painted on them all the time. But Seto decided not to dwell on it now. Seeing Mokuba get up, Seto couldn't help but smile as Mokuba pulled him. Helping his brother, the older Kaiba got to his feet soon enough. "I heard the thud. Let's go." Letting Mokuba lead the way but didn't let go of his hand.

Joey let to two talk, helping set up the table, Tristen helping.

Ishisu was standing in the hotel room with Marik, looking out the window as Marik was making the call to Yami. She looked over and said "I hope the Pharaoh is alright...we never heard from him last night"

Mokuba nodded and followed Seto into the living room where Adam and Serena were hugging. Tea headed over to them and put a finger to her lips, a small smile resting on her face.

Serena looked at Adam and said "I'm sorry Adam...you know how i am..." Adam looked at her and said "Boss...I lost your brother to these guys...I can't lose you too...I can't bare to think what could have happened to you if..." Serena rested a hand on his cheek and said "I always come back...remember? Always..."

Seto walked into the living room to see Adam and Serena hugging, having seen Tea put a finger to her lips. Seto could only roll his eyes and walk further in. Joey peeked out of the kitchen "Coffee's ready."

Malik was holding his cell to his ear. He looked to his sister who was worried about Yami. He was too. "I'm sure he's doing fine." By then Yami answered and set the phone to speaker. "Hey, Yami! We made it." Malik said with a smile, taking the phone from his ear and setting it on the table.

"That is good news to hear." The pharaoh seemed to be relieved. "I am sorry I did not call last night. Alot happened yesterday after our call with each other yesterday, having put quite a bit of strain on us."

Malik looked over to his sister before looking at the phone. "Well maybe we could talk about it when we meet up?"

"Maybe. Serena had a idea of where to meet up. There is a zoo she told Yugi and I about that houses endangered animals. She had meetings with her friend Adam there sometimes. Maybe we can meet there?" Yami asked.

MAriks sister nodded and said "I know the place, its in the middle of downtown, we can take the car there easily. Would the Pharaoh wish us to send a car to collect them?"

Serena moved back when Seto walked in, Adam sighing as she did. Mokuba went to Serena and asked "You feeling better Serena?" She nodded and then Joey poked his head in. Adam nodded and said "I am going for that. Serena, I'll get your tea ready for you" She smiled and nodded her thanks and then turned to Seto. "Seto...you will be honest with me...how bad was it last night?"

"Please. Might need to bring two. My friends are wanted to come with. I believe that they feel something might happen if only a few of us come with." Yami told them. Malik seemed to understand them based on all that he saw the last he saw them all together. "I am sure we can do that."

Seto sat on one of the chairs as Adam went to get some coffee and tea for Serena. He looked to Mokuba. "Hey Mokuba. Could you get me some coffee as well?" He though looked to Serena when she asked her question as shrugged. "All I know is that you were passed out and not feeling well." The Older Kaiba explained.

His sister nodded, pulling her cell out and texting Odion to collect the cars. "Is there anything else he needs?"

Mokuba nodded and ran off, Serena sitting on the couch. "Most of last night is a blur...I don't remember much after Joey and I got to that club to be honest..."

Yami shook his head though he knew that Malik nor Ishizu could not see him. "No. Not that I can think of. Thank you, Malik, Ishizu." Yami said with a smile on his lips. He could not thank them enough of them helping him and the others. He was nothing but grateful. Malik seemed to catch what sounded like a smile. "Not a problem Yami. See you around noon?" He asked. "Of course. Thank you again." Malik chuckled. "See you then." So the two young men hung up. Yami then decided to make his way down stairs.

Seto seemed to smirk, figuring that she wouldn't remember much. "Well Yugi thought he got a Text from you that you needed some help on something of which I thought was odd seeming to remember that you two hadn't exchanged numbers. I hadn't said anything for I wasn't so sure. So going with him anyway, we ended up at a club and this woman we thought was you turned out to be a duel monster. A spell was casted on him. Blue eyes and I tried to get him back but that was when you and Joey came in. We tried to get the thing to let him go only you told us to distract it after Dark Magician appeared to protect him. You and the monster seemed to have a personal grudge against each other. You put your necklace on Yugi which then Yugi seemed to have broken free. Yugi was angry beyond from how I've seen the squirt." Seto seemed to smirk at this. "The Monster died by the Magician's attack. You toke quite the hits yourself and seemed to refuse to go back to a hospital. So we came back here. You ran a fever of which Yugi and Yami kept you company till your fever broke." Seto finished, crossing his leg over the other and interwined his fingers together as they rest over his lap.

Serena leaned back, stunned. "The Invader of the Throne...I remember her attacking...my pendent must have been the reason I could heal so fast...I never noticed that before..." She looked at Seto and said "I can't let that happen again...Yugi could have been hurt...or worse..." She stood and said "maybe I should leave now...hunt them down...end this now..." She hands were in fists. "They hurt my Pharaoh and his friend...I can't let that go without response..."

Yugi was helping Tea and Adam when Yami walked in. Tea looked up and said "Serena is awake and speaking with Seto..."

Seto smirk, noticing that of someone who was ready to act, but like he use to be, a fool. "Leave now and you won't get those questions answered. Hunt them down and I am sure you won't last long. Im not fool and I know what will happen. Yami has already has already given his word that he would help. So has Yugi. Those two don't ever separate. And if they go, the lackeys go with, including me. Plus you're running even more blind then you seemed to have been before."

Seto looked over to Serena, his blue eyes fixed on her, looking absolutely serious. "So let me ask you this. Are you really going to run into a battle with no knowledge of what you are up against, potentially having allies to back you, running in with you because they gave you their word to help? If you think about it, its like a game of Duel Monsters, but all your cards are blank and all you see is the same from your opponent's field. Not knowing what it will turn into. But the more you know about your opponent, then you can access and figure out what to do." Yes. Seto Kaiba was giving advise. Yes, he was making people think. "Think about what your 'Pharaoh' would want to do in order to win." Yes. He also added the one thing she seemed to be so obsessed about. He maybe pushing all the buttons, but that was what he did in order for others to think straight and not make it their last turn.

Yami looked to Yugi, Tea, and Adam who were in the kitchen finishing up breakfast as he was told about Serena and Seto. Yami looked over toward the living room before he then nodded to them and headed in there. He was unsure what they were talking about of course, but wanted to see if she was alright. He only knew of what happen last night.

Serena froze and thought about his words. "Your right...I'm a duelist...why am I running into things without thinking...that's not how I do things..." She sat back down, rubbing her eyes. "What has this....Yami done to me to make me act like this? It's like all I can think is to protect him...no matter what..."

When Yami reached the opening she said, not knowing he was there, "it's like I've been lost until I ran into him...like being lost in a tomb until a candle was lit...I can't explain any of this...but I know that our paths are linked somehow...and that no matter the cost...I have to keep him safe...to keep the little prince safe..."

Seto seemed pleased, a smirk on his lips when he heard her answer, telling him how right he is. Though he guessed that he could continue to listen. Had nothing to do. But he wondered why she seemed so obsessed. He shrugged. Though Seto knew how it felt when he was confused as to why Yami seemed to be so important and among all that they had been through, why his fate was intertwined Yami's till the answers were clear. Seto then let it go. They somehow became friends and that was that. Nothing more or less. Seto however seemed aware that Yami was at the the opening between the Kitchen and livingroom. Just saying nothing.

Yami stopped at the opening when he heard Serena talking. Though confused what was being said, noticed some key clues that pointed to him. Paths being linked. Little Prince. Yami remembered those and the fact that last night that was what Serena called him out of being tired and exhausted. He didn't move nor say a word. Seto only spoke up. "Well. I wouldn't know what to tell you there and I don't even think that he has the answers. As far as I know he is as confused as you are."

The pharaoh didn't intervene. Seto was right. Yami didn't know why. Didn't know why Serena was feeling what she was feeling, why she saw the way she did. What was he going to tell her? This was why he asked for Malik and Ishizu's help. To get a better understanding what was going on. To give Serena answers to her questions if the siblings could at all.

Serena sighed and said "I wouldn't even be here if Adam and the professor didn't need my help....I just wanted to help them until my brother came back....but when that first duel happened and we got word they kidnapped you....I just jumped in without thinking about it...and for weeks I kept getting dreams of sand and palaces and a young boy in need of help..." She held her head in both hands and muttered "I don't understand any of it...."

Yami listened on, still standing at the entry way till he saw fit to just leave it be. He would ask later. She probably needed someone like Kaiba to talk to. Not him. He turned around as he then looked to the group in the Kitchen and leaving the entryway and the livingroom. "I talked to Malik and Ishizu. They are bringing cars over sometime before noon to go to the zoo for endangered species. We'll meet them there and hopefully have some answered questions." Yami told them before heading out back. He saw Duke out there as well and thought to join him see how he was holding up.

Kaiba shrugged. "Sounds like a problem I can't help you with." He told her simply. And he was only telling the truth. He didn't know how to help there. The fact that she was telling him about it in the first place seemed rather odd. Yet seemed to be the only one who wasn't offended that he could tell by his harsh like words.

She nodded and said "No one really can...I guess I just feel better telling someone...someone who might understand the feelings I'm having..." She got up and said "If anyone needs me I'll be out back. I need to call someone..."

She closed the door and pulled her cell out, hitting a speed dial. She put the phone to her ear and waited till it was picked up.

"Serena, I was starting to worry about you..."
"Sorry, Professor...A lot has happened since we last talked...how is your trip going?"
"Very enlightening...I have sent files to Adam for you both to look at. It seems your theory was right about the targets. Not only are they duelists, but they are also gifted in some other way. That Duke Devlin seems to still be the only one that was able to get away with his soul...apart from you" Serena nodded, leaning against the tree.

"I feared that was the case...the god we ran into was Khnum...Duke got a pendent from the creature..." The professor was quiet for a moment then said "Much like you did that night...do you believe they are linked some how?"

Serena shook her head then remembered he couldn't see her said "I'm not sure. We are meeting with some friends of Yami's this afternoon...hopefully we can get some more answers from them..."

The Professor said "Be careful, Serena...I fear things are only going to get more dangerous from here. Adam told me what happened last night. I am glad you were able to help the boy...never take that pendent off again. Its your only defense against this darkness..." Serena sighed and muttered "Yes sir..."

The professor added "I have a meeting with an old friend, please keep me up dated" He hung up and Serena sighed, letting her arm fall to her side. She turned to see Yugi standing there, holding a mug and looking worried. "Are you alright Serena?" She smiled and said "Of course...just calling my...the professor" Yugi walked over and said "Adam was telling my about him...but why do you call him professor instead of..."

Serena turned away and said "Why don't I call him father? Because he stopped being my father a long time ago...a very long time ago..." She hid her face from Yugi, a couple tears running down her face. Yugi looked back at Yami who was at the door, shaking his head to the unanswered question.

Yami was out from the back with Duke before Serena had finished her talk with Seto. Yami had then gone to talk to Seto when she felt to go to the back, letting Seto know what was going on. Yami though later seemed to go back to toward the back door to find Yugi talking to Serena. He stayed over at the door when he saw Yugi look back to see him. Seeing him shake his head, all the Pharaoh did was lower his head a little, looking away a little before walking away. Seems she all of this was hitting her full force. That and he couldn't blame her. Him and Yugi had the same dilemma once. So he went to go find Grandpa. For the morning he was either setting up shop or still asleep. Guess he would find out. Heading down stairs, Yami went to see if he was there. Maybe he could see if he still had some of his work still around back in his early days of when he discovered the tomb. How it all started. "Grandpa?" Maybe even get some advise.
